Here you have all the reviews of real people like you who are using the products of Santa Fe Mazda Volvo (Car Concessionaire) around New Mexico area.
At the moment this business receives a score of 3.5 out of 5 and the score was based on 110 reviews.
As you can see its rating is really high, and it is founded on a high number of reviews, so we may be pretty sure that the valuation is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they are happy, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put feddbacks when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Car Concessionaire belongs to the category of Mazda dealer.
Very friendly and very knowledgeable. Looking for a BMW
Everyone's nice, and the customer service is great!
Del Montoya is the man. He was natural in his sales process and made me feel relaxed during my shopping there. Our next purchase would likely be at Santa Fe Mazda Volvo...
So shady
SCAMMERS!!! Incompetent liars. Will say anything to make a dollar. BEWARE!!! Do Not buy another vehicle from these people. If you fell victim to their scams, come forward. These people do not deserve a business. The more people that come forward with these lies the safer others are from people like them.
Great Place, Clean, full of friendly people, they are quick to be helpful and get it done which I always appreciate. Everyone one I worked with showed a lot of knowledge which also just makes the process extremely easy, ask a question and it gets answered. Simpler is always better, and good prices too, hard to find any kind of match in their price at Santa Fe. Not that I buy a car that often, but when I do, I'll be going here.
Charged me $109 for a diagnosis charge but the staff was extremely friendly and allowed my daughter to roam freely. They even gave her a couple of balloons!
Treated with courtesy, consideration and quickly.
Brought my car for service. Excellent honest thoughtful professional service. A bit of a drive for me to get there was well worth it.
Me and my dad were wanting to trade in our vehicles. My dad found a truck he liked and I had seen an suv I had really liked. We went inside with the guy to get all the paper work ready and when we were getting ready to sign for the suv the guy looks at me and said " I hope you have a down payment or your just wasting my time". With that being said we didn't get the truck or the suv we ended up going to the Chevy dealer ship and got both our vehicles from them with out any down!!... I don't recommend anybody to come here awful awful customer service dont even waiste your time here.
Customer service is horrible! Basil G. especially, never returns calls or emails and leaves you calling and calling. Worst car buying experience ever. I would never recommend them for anything. Stay far away!!!
Emailed on Thursday for serious interest in a truck. Nothing from them--no email, no phone. Not even an auto reply. You just lost a $40K sale. Cheers.
Purchased a use 2013 jeep and a extended warranty. They called and got my payoff on my vehicle. Three days later they call me and wanted $4000 more that my payoff was higher. I told them that was too much for the Jeep that I would return it. When I got there they ask me If they could keep the payments the same with no changes would I keep the jeep. A new comtract was typed up and they deleted the extended warranty. I told they they said no changes and they said they had to make up the difference somewhere. I gave the Jeep back, got my car back , they keep my spare key. Said they would mail it to me. Never received it. They lied, kept my key and we also got into an argument. Would NOT recommend this dealership to anybody.....
I've been going to these guys for their service off and on now for 13 years. I have not ONE complaint. It's interesting that those that do complain in reviews are half of the problem and then feel as if they're getting the dealership back by giving a bad review. Those of us that have been going to these guys know that this is a quality place with quality people. You don't give a dealership one star because they require money down on the purchase of a vehicle. Most do unless you go to the sketchy places that'll sell you lemons ALL day.
OEM parts aren't cheap.
Found a Jeep Liberty on line and drove up from Albuquerque to Check it out. Tony Rea was very helpful and very easy to do business with. I am a very honest person and I appreciate being treated honestly and fairly, Tony was just that. Life time warranty on the drive train certainly is a selling point when buying a used vehicle. That comes with any used car under 100 k miles so at no extra charge. I sleep well knowing that I am covered for as long as I own this Jeep. I have never bought a used car from a dealership before but I highly recommend Santa Fe Volvo if you are considering it. Well worth the easy drive to Santa Fe. Ask for my guy Tony Rea, super nice guy, and he is a good family guy, easy to support that. Thanks Tony !
Stopped by on our way home 275 miles away. Fast and great service. They went out of their way to get us back on the road.
When my boyfriend bought his Toyota Scion from Santa Fe Mazda a few years back, part of the fun in that was having a nice little race car. So the addition of a cold air intake wasn't too far of a stretch for him. He purchased the part through Mazda Volvo, and it was installed, with my boyfriend not realizing that the intake unit was not the right fit for his car. He never wanted to raise a stink, or have someone feel like he was calling them out for doing their job "incorrectly", but he quickly realized there were problems. He couldn't turn his wheel one way or the other without an awful grinding noise that you could hear for blocks. I explained to him that bringing this to their attention is what he has a right to do! Regardless of two years of driving his car, if the job was done correctly, none of he issues he was facing should have been issues. Fast forward, we moved to Denver at the beginning of March, and decided to get our cars looked at, considering all the miles we put on them between the move from Santa Fe. Once we arrived in Denver, we took his car in to his family's mechanic, Olde's Garage, whom they've been going to for years upon years, to have it looked at. My bf had brought his car in to Olde's just a couple years prior when the trouble started with the intake. These mechanics remembered my boyfriend's car, even though they've got to see hundreds of cars a month (they are very busy constantly, which is no surprise due to the way they treat their patrons)! After looking it over the professional, kind, personable and concerned mechanics told him that because of the way the intake was installed, it was allowing dirt, rocks and water to be sucked into the engine. This was all new, and very bad news. The car was un-drivable. At that point, I contacted Jay, the Service Manager at Mazda Volvo. At first he was a little bit hesitant to assist me in any way, or take on any responsibility based on the fact that what I was calling about was clearly a lot of work, a lot of money and a lot of labor. He asked me to bring the car in, at which point, I told him that was impossible. And even if it was possible, I did not trust them to make this right at that point, based on the job they'd done in the first place. Thanks to the wonderful people at Olde's Garage, they were able to take pictures of the damage to the car and the way the air intake was installed, which by the way was a total and complete hack job. After being in contact with Jay over the course of three months, there was a lot of back-and-forth between he and myself, myself and Olde's, and Olde's and Jay. Ultimately human decency and doing what was right was something Jay obviously felt he couldn't escape. So the next thing we know Olde's Garage is giving us a call asking us to bring the car in and that Mazda Volvo had taken care of rectifying all of the damage that was done to the car. People can say what they want about Mazda Volvo, and they can say what they want about the lack of care and work ethic that some dealerships are OK with blatantly dishing out, but Jay and Mazda Volvo did the right thing here. Whether they had a choice in the matter is up for debate, but I'm sure it became clear to them that I wasn't backing down. We are just grateful for the fact that in a world full of people who are so much less than decent, they did the right thing.
I had my new Volvo serviced and they where very helpful. They found that the start-stop automatic didn’t work anymore and replaced the battery under warranty. Additionally, on the test drive they noticed that my winter tires had not been correctly balanced and fixed that as well. Thanks!
Terrible communication. I am a first time car buyer and they thought they could screw me over because of that. They sold me a car without them having the title but of course I didn't know that till later. Three months since I bought the car and they still haven't given my loan company the title. When I called to see what was going on and where my title was they kept making up excuses that it was the previous owners fault and not theirs. Most of the time over the three months when I called I was sent to voicemails of the people that took care of the titles. Guess what? Never not once was I called back. And finally when I was able to talk to someone today I was treated horribly with the woman I think her name was Trisha or Trista telling me that it was not her fault that the title is taking so long. If anyone knows a lawyer or legal consultant I would really appreciate one. So I beg of you go somewhere else to buy a car because these people don't know how to do their jobs.
Very Good customer service
The end product. A nicely running car, the followup phone call to see how the car was running, and lastly a nicely done car wash, along with wheels.
My place of employment
Good place to buy car. They will work on a good deal for the price shopper.
If you want to get screwed over on a car, then this is the place to go! They will raise the selling price and trick you into buying a car 63% higher than its worth. Worst place in Santa fe to get a car! Never again will I go to these frauds!
Have always had positive experiences here. People are super-nice
Nice dealership
The only reason I'm reading it a four stars because it's a dealership and it's expensive but the work is usually fall asleep not perfect but they care and they'll we do anything if it's not done perfect and they're good people they're really good people in that makes huge difference
My husband and I negotiated a deal to purchase a used car (of course, they had someone who just happened to call while we were on the lot who wanted to purchase the very car--sight unseen, no less--we were looking at). We wanted to use our debit card, so they asked if they could make sure the amount would run on our card, and when the salesman (Steve Garvey, crook extraordinaire) returned, he had already charged the amount to our card. Then when we said they had no right to charge the card, Steve Garvey made the excuse that he wasn't in charge of finance. We promptly demanded they refund the amount and left, knowing that they were liars and only after quick money and did not intend to service a proper sale.
Service after the sale is awful! I've been trying for months to get my gap insurance canceled. They don't return calls or my emails and all their voice mails are full so you can't leave a message. Do yourself a favor and buy a new car elsewhere!
Trying to get a Harley but they are not knowledgeable in motorcycles.
Good people and great service
Paul is the best!
Early Jackson was our salesman. He was very knowledgeable about the Mazda. We were indecisive and he was very patient, plus we lived out of town and couldn't get back for a week. They had the car all cleaned up and ready to go. Never sure if you get the best deal from any dealership, but they were pleasant to deal with.
If I could do it again I would not buy from this dealership. The initial sale process went smoothly but I've been waiting since May for my tags. I have emailed, called, tried to leave voicemails but everyone's voicemail box is always full, I have left written messages with reception, written two letters to the general manager, and have now submitted complaints with the better business bureau and with the state attorney general. I can't get anyone to give me a call back or return my emails to just let me know the status of my tags since it's been so long. At this point I would rather get the money back that I've already paid them for my registration and just get a new tag myself. Hopefully I hear back shortly with the status of what's going on. The customer service is horrendous.
-I purchased a Mazda CX-5 at a dealership in Mesa, AZ in 2014. -I purchased an extended warranty on the vehicle. Salesman said nothing about it being a third party warranty. Salesman did not explain I would be responsible to present the warranty to a repair center if the car needed repair. I was under the impression the warranty was tied to the car. -I moved to Santa Fe in 2016. -In January of 2018 the Mazda CX-5's transmission failed at 63, 357 miles. -Vehicle was taken to Santa Fe Mazda. I told them the car had a warranty. This was on a Friday. -The next Monday I was contacted by Mazda and they said the card had no warranty and the cost to repair would be $5400. I was told they could do the repair, but did not have time to pull the transmission until Wednesday the following week. -The whole week, I was bothered because I was sure I had purchased a warranty. I searched through boxes and found the sales receipt and the warranty. I delivered the warranty papers to Mazda the following Monday. -They decided to pull the transmission on a Sunday, 4 days earlier than they told me. they did call in the warranty, but since the work had already been started, the claim was denied. -I pleaded my case to Mazda corporate and the warranty company and was told they would not help. -Mazda had a chance to be a hero in all of this but they chose not to help. -So, DO NOT purchase a Mazda vehicle. If there are problems, they DO NOT care. -This story has already cost this dealership 4 sales of new vehicles. And it will continue to cost them sales until Mazda makes this right. People always ask me what I think of my Mazda. And they get this story. They will lose more than $5400 in sales because of this. -So buyer beware. If nothing else they have a nice waiting room to sit in while they replace your transmission when it fails at low miles,
Awesome staff great management team. Great service.
This dealership is terrible. We bought a car from them that started having problems two days after we bought it. I have tried and tried to resolve the issues with them....but...once they have your money and the "deal is done" they could care less about follow thru. I would tell everyone to go to another dealership.
I recently came to Santa Fe Mazda and Volvo with my boss who needed help purchasing a new car. We were greeted with a smile by Buddy Ellis and Tony Rea. Tony helped her pick the right car for her in her price range with ease and helped greatly in the negotiating process. Everyone here was very helpful and kind, ESPECIALLY in the exchange of her current vehicle, which she was incredibly grateful for.
Never ever again will I do business with this dealership....I traded 2 vehicle for one newer one and almost a month later I get a notice from my bank that I am late on my car payment ....(the one I traded in).... I called Mazda and questioned it and they told me they sold it a few days brfeore.??? What???? You sold the car I traded in before you payed off my note to the bank?????? NOT LEAGLE.. .I called and called got excuses that their finance was closed ...finally called the district attorney office and a call to the police department got this dealership to pay off the care I traded in....not even a call back from the owner to say sorry.... Not a call from anyone ....bad buisnees guys....I will never buy a car from you guys again....good luck scammers...

Looked into financing a veichle, everything was a go all that was needed was some statements that were going to be brought the next day. Contacted them and said we have more then half payment up front cash! Salesman informes us to come on down & get the veichle. At this point, no statements nor extraordinary paperwork is needed, as to we had all the money in cash. We live 45 min away, we get there they start us on some paperwork & we sign a check. At this point we had already took the initiative to place the car on insurance, as we had all intentions of taking veichle home. 10 min later sales man comes to tell us someone who got there before us is buying the veichle! Keep in mind, We were talking with this dealership for 24 hours about the getting the same car. Way before anyone at that. We get a thumbs up, & head on down to be sent away empty handed & told its not "their" problem. We were baffled by the disbelief of how in-understanding the salesmen & Maneger were. Strongly do not recommend buying from this dealership. Hope all can save themselves the trouble!
Most are helpful workers
Early was the best salesman I have ever worked with! Absolutely kind, knowledgeable, and patient! We took over a two weeks to decide exactly what we wanted and everyone at the dealership was honestly available to meet our needs. From sales to finance, we could not be more happy... no hard sell here. They truly worked hard to meet our needs!
During a 4000+ mile family trip over Christmas break, our 2015 Mazda 6 had the TPMS light turn on. Within 5 minutes of stopping in, the dealership had a technician looking at our car. They confirmed all the tires were fine and then reset the TPMS light. The technician then clearly explained what might have caused the TPMS light to turn on. They did this for no charge. Since we were clearly from out of state, they had no incentive to give us great service, but they did anyway. My complements to the support manager and technician that helped us.
As always while they claim they are giving a best in class customer service, they have to really re think it Short temperament and over priced. That is the price to pay when you schedule your service with them
In order to write a review you have to give them at least one star, they are not even worthy of 1. We bought a vehicle with them and within 10 days we had problems with the engine. We called the guy who sold it to us and he said he was going to call the shop and call us back which never happened. We then called santa fe madza and spoke which there machinic
On a recent trip to Santa Fe we learned that we not only had a nail in one of our rear tires on our year old V60 Cross country wagon and also had dangerous bulging tire on the other rear tire from accidentally hitting a curb that afternoon. When the low pressure light came on I immediately went to the dealer and they put the car on the rack and give me the news. This occurred on late Friday afternoon and both rear tires needed replacing. The service department was wonderful and found 2 tires, loaned us a car and installed them overnight so we could take a planned trip to Abiquiu Saturday. They were very professional and explained that the second tire was too dangerous to drive on and made sure we were well taken care of. They were the BEST. Helen Dallas, Texas
Absolutely terrible... Five years ago I bought a car and within two days the AC stopped working, returned it under warranty for a repair and they said: "Pay the repair cost or we'll buy it back from you." Being 17, I didn't argue and paid the cost when I shouldn't have. Flash forward to two months ago, go in for a car they "had on the lot" and this salesmen jerked me around for 45 MINUTES before he finally told me he didn't have the car any more. Then said he "had my dream car" and it was NO WHERE near what I was looking for (and he acted like I was an idiot for not wanting it, newsflash, I'm 24 and don't need a momma's soccer van) , he went back to his office for the keys and I left. The other day I went in hoping to see a car I wanted, again, a quick talking scam artist jerked his way around telling me he didn't have it, when he finally did I politely tried to leave and he RAN AFTER MY CAR CHASING ME OUT OF THE PARKING LOT. Never again will I step foot there. Hope they go out of business and fast.
Our salesmen, Mark McNair and Early Jackson, were great. We called and said we were driving an hour from Albuquerque to see a Cadillac Escalade they had on the lot. We arrived late in the day in November and they had the car running and heated up and waiting for us. The problems started once we were moved into the finance office. We had agreed on a price and a monthly payment of $375. When we came back the next day, we were told by Ryan Careswell, the owner's son, that the best they could do was $432/month. When we said that would not work he managed to get it down to $399/month. When we once more said that had not been our agreement the previous day, he miraculously figured out how to get it down to $375/month. Ryan agreed to fix 6 items on the car that we had noted on our walk around, including a chipped windshield. It was like pulling teeth to get this done in the next couple of weeks but we finally did get it done. We had negotiated an extended warranty into the purchase price, but a month after we had the car, the company handling the extended warranty sent us a note saying the dealership had not followed thru and the extended warranty was not valid. After 3 trips from Albuquerque back to Santa Fe, we finally got this problem fixed, but it took us 4 months after the purchase to get the extended warranty activated thru Santa Fe Mazda/Volvo. As nice as the sales team was, I can't recommend this dealership due to the unprofessional manner in which the financing of the vehicle and extended warranty were handled.
NEVER EVER GO HERE. EVER. I bought my car on a Friday, with a scratch on the back. I was told to bring it in the following Monday, and that my car would be ready Wednesday. I went in on Wednesday, and they told it wasn't ready, come back Thursday. I called Thursday, and got transferred on the phone about fifteen times. Finally they called me back and told me that my car HAD STILL NOT BEEN WORKED ON and that it would be ready Friday. THIS IS A WEEK. AN ENTIRE WEEK THAT THESE PEOPLE HAVE REFUSED TO HELP ME. Everyone there is completely incompetent. The salesman who I dealt with, the people in the service department, THE BOSS OF THE PLACE. Robert King was the sales man I dealt with, and the boss's name is Todd, who refused to speak to me on the phone and was very rude to me when I came in that Monday. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS EVER AT THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY WILL LIE THROUGH THEIR TEETH TO YOU WITHOUT BATTING AN EYELASH.
This is the best review I've ever been able to do for this dealership. I've had terrible experience with them but I love Mazda so it's the closest place around. But on a routine recall, the service was fantastic and fast and I spent only half an hour there. They offered me shuttle service. And for those of you who like to watch the news there is a waiting room with it blaring. I wanted to get an accessory so I just picked it up from their parts department and discovered it was twice as expensive as I could have gotten it online. But I guess that's the price of getting it in person
No one ever comes out, they screwed up my contact and didn't put the gap insurance I paid for on it and now I'm out money and no vehicle.
Wow. What a complete disaster of a dealership. If you want an experience to make you appreciate dealers that have even a semblance of customer service, choose this dealer. At least you will have a rock bottom to gauge the others from. Excuses, lies, cussing on the phone. It's sad that businesses as bad as this one still manage to stay open.
My family and I are from out of town and had a sensor go off. They had us in and out in very little time. The staff were very helpful and kind, especially offering rides for us to wait in a local park and keeping our kids entertained.
I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone! Prices are jacked up thousands of dollars. If you want to get screwed, come here!
Took in my broke Volvo and even though they were very busy they got me in. The mechanic showed me and explained the problem, very knowledgeable. His inspection was also very thorough and he pointed out things that might need attention soon. All the staff was friendly, nice waiting are and a shuttle. If you own a Volvo you should consider taking it here for maintenance.
Great staff, tasty popcorn, and a special shout out to Vernon for stellar service.
My first car purchase! Ask for Mel! As a young female, car shopping can be extremely disappointing and discouraging. After a long year of searching, being disrespected, and haggled I found Mel! He made sure my experience was top notch from the moment I called the dealership. I am so so so thrilled with my beautiful brand new car and the incredible deal I scored at Santa Fe Mazda. (He even shared his poetry which was killer btw)
Bought a car here and couldn't be happier with the entire experience. Terry was a great salesman who, along with Mel, worked hard to get me into a good car for a great price. Highly recommend this dealership.
Felt so taken care of at Santa Fe Volvo! My car died on the highway up to Colorado and I had it towed two hours back to Santa Fe. They were prompt in diagnosing the problem (alternator died!) and was able to fix it in a couple of hours so I could carry on to Colorado for a bachelorette weekend. Thank you guys so much!!
Tony Rae helped us through the most pleasant and productive vehicle purchase we have ever experienced. He found exactly the truck we were looking for, although our demands and price range made other dealers squeamish, and helped us get a great deal! The other sales staff and finance made our purchase smooth and we are super happy with our vehicle!!
The worst dealership I have ever been to! Unprofessional staff and bad mannered. I hope this place gets looked into further. Whoever is running this location needs to make some serious changes. I was even skeptical to leave this review because of how unprofessional the staff are. I guarantee I’ll be looked up after this. Rest assure I will deal with this issue when it arrises.
Service Department is awesome!
Service department gives excellent service and takes good care of customers.
This was absolutely the worst dealership I have ever been to. My sister negotiated a deal on a used car, on the day we went in to purchase it, we were meet by an incompetent sales person who very nervously informed us that the car my sister negotiated was misquoted and that she could not have the car for price negotiated. He proceeded with a typical song and dance and I informed him we were there for the car negotiated and if that was not going to happen then we would go elsewhere. He then told us he managed the dealership and that we needed to leave his lot. He then proceeds to yell at my daughter who could not believe a grown man is acting like this, he yelled an expletive at her, then yelled at me and my sister. I asked to talk to the owner, I was told he was not there. I was then intercepted by another employee who tried to appease us by letting us know that they are not in business of treating people like this, YEAH OK. I then asked another person to speak to the owner, miraculously he appeared. Spoke to him, pretty sure he is father to the incompetent sales person since he told us maybe we could do business after we "cool off" AWESOME! It is sad that this day in age woman are treated like this in what is supposed to be a professional establishment. Wonder how they would of feel if someone spoke or treated their wife, daughter, sister or mother like this.
Have purchased two cars here. I keep coming back because of the, professionals that work there. Would buy again.
I had done my homework and walked into Santa Fe Mazda knowing what I wanted and about how much I wanted to pay. Gary turned me over to Brian to check out the Mazda3 5 door Grand Touring. Brian was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and patiently explained all the bells and whistles. Gary oversaw the purchase process with Brian and negotiated with Paul over finance options which came into the range I had been hoping for. I drove 100 miles and returned to get some fine points from Brian. All the personnel I encountered at Santa Fe Mazda from other sales people to the cashier were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. I great buying experience. Now for more great driving experiences. Thanks.
Worst car buying experience ever. The customer service was terrible. Our saleswoman who is also management blamed or tried to pass mistakes on others. Made the deal but when we had issues with paperwork it was out of her hands. Never again.
Friendly and honest!
Great place to buy a car ohyeah after almost a good four and a half months I'm still waiting for my license plate
Great dealership, friendly and cordial staff, even the owner greets you when there. Not an arrogant person but down to earth individual. Everyone makes sure you are being attended to and are not lacking anything. Got a fantastic deal on a car and better attention when servicing said vehicle. Full prompt service, and the loaner top of the line. Looking for a vehicle, give these guys are trying.
I've had a great experience here thus far. In sales Paul R. Oliver was very enthusiastic and informative, he's a nice guy. Management has been awesome as well and in connecting me to the service team Jay Lewis and James Valdez for parts. It's a good dealership. I don't see why others have had negative experiences but I have not. We need Mazda and Volvo in Santa Fe, keep it goin guys!
Good fair dealership
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! Do not purchase anything from this dealership- I traded in a vehicle over a month ago, the trade in has not been paid off and is going against my credit. Class action lawsuit waiting to happen, the finance manager admitted there are three others that are still waiting as well.
DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE HERE. This is a nightmare! They refuse to answer or return calls. My husband and I live in El Paso, TX. We drove up to Santa Fe Mazda/Volvo to purchase a Volvo S60 that I had seen online. They sold it to us on January 18, 2019 and took our trade-in, a 2017 Toyota Highlander that same day. As of today, April 4, 2019, they have yet to pay off our trade-in and we are looking at having to pay 2 auto loans. Apparently they have no comptroller or she is out and she's the only one to take care of this. Really?? How do you run a car dealership and not pay off people's trade ins? Oh, and we're still driving around with temporary tags. Don't know when we'll be getting permanent plates...
My car window on the driver's side went down and it didn't come back up. Took it to the Volvo dealership in Santa Fe and JUST to put the window up and put tape over the button was $140.00. It is another $500 to fix it!!! Not only that, they had a different customers name complete with his address on the bill!!! I don't know how this place stays in business! My next car won't be a Volvo!!!
Great service and a great overall car buying experience
I'm not going to buy a car here.
Such nice people, good service.
