Despite other reviews, I have had great luck at this place. Difficulties include an impossible phone system. If you want to talk to someone other than sales or service, good luck getting them to call you back. They share the phone with Audi next door. Very confusing. Parking is next to impossible as they are short on space. They have always been accommodating and friendly when I go there.

Let’s see, I had an appointment for this past Thursday which included a loaner. I arrived and was told they didn’t have me on the list for a loaner. I asked the attendant if he was saying that I was out of luck and he replied yes. Only after I expressed extreme frustration over the fact that I drove from Philly for nothing did he go find me a car. Question, if it was possible to find me a car then why say no? Why not say Im sorry for this, let me see what I can do? If I happened to be someone else I may have left without receiving service. As for the service, my car was in the shop for four days. No biggie except that I again drove from Philly, this time racing to get there because I had dinner plans that night, only to find out that in the four days that they had my car they apparently forgot to change my oil which was one of the things it was there for. I had to turn around and drive back to Philly, complete waste of my time. I’m now about to drive back again to finally get my car. Complete incompetence. I’m a customer service manager and have to say the service I received was awful. How about offering me a discount on the oil change after wasting my time driving back and forth and failing to change my oil in FOUR DAYS of having my car on site? Nothing. Nothing offered to at least make me feel better. Next time I’ll drive to another dealer further away to receive real service.

The guys in the service department must be commended, especially Bill Simmons. In a perfect world everything would run smoothly and go exactly as intended. However, we do not live in a perfect world. I had a problem with a bill and when it was brought to Bill's attention that problem was solved in a quick, efficient and fair manner. Best car leasing experience I've ever had! From Angelo, my salesman, to my finance person, I couldn't have asked for an easier, calmer, more stress-free experience. Angelo and I did everything via email, then I went to the dealership to sign the paperwork and take delivery and everything was ready and waiting for me and everyone was super friendly. Every time I call, no one answers the phone. I always have to call multiple times before speaking to anyone. This is very inconvenient. When I am actually there though, the customer service is not bad. I usually deal with Robert, he is very knowledgeable and always explains everything. The wait time usually isn’t too bad. This dealership all around isn’t bad, just trying to get them on the phone is awful.

Originally quoted the wrong part, had to check with another dealership then confirm it on VW part lookup. Service desk was helpful, they were just given incorrect information and if I had not pointed it out they would have tried to charge me 500 dollars to replace a battery.

Service appointments are easy to book online and with our warranty we can get a loaner car to get to work if they need to keep our car for the day. Bought my first new VW recently through Cherry Hill Volkswagen and am so far very satisfied with this dealer. They were able to find the GTI I was looking to purchase at another dealer pretty much immediately and were able to get it there within 2 days despite a snow storm rolling though our area that weekend. Was also able to work out a price on a new 2017 model that I was very happy with and was thousands below sticker cost, interest rates are very reasonable and they got my monthly financing payments right where I wanted them to be. The GTI itself is amazing, could write a 10 page essay on all the cars’ qualities lol. Haven’t owned the car long enough to review their maintenance quality/warranty support/etc. but if the purchasing process is any indication of the level of service they provide I expect I will use them for all my VW maintenance and future purchases.

Thanks to Cherry Hill Imports, VW Service for the quick services today! My Tiguan needed an oil change and work doesn't leave many hours for taking it in. CHI/VW took me without an appointment and had me in and out in under 45 minutes! Definitely will be taking my car to them from now on.

TL;DR Brought in for a sunroof leak, tried to upsell me to a new sunroof assembly $3000+ ended up being clogged rear drains. I bought a 2014 Jetta Sportwagen TDI from another dealership out of state that was a buyback, so I assume it was sitting for some time before it went back up for sale.I had it for a week and after the first heavy rain the trunk was filled and the rear seat floors were soaked. I brought the car to VW of cherry hill. First time in for service it took 12 days I night dropped the car and they called me to let me know they received it, but never did any work. I called 6 days after I dropped it to Brian Coffin not having a clue who I was or where my car was. I guess he lost my paperwork or some clerical issue(forgivable things happen). 2 days to diagnose. Per them it needed 2 new front drains and clean the rear 2 drains. I don't understand why the fronts needed to be replaced and why the backs weren't just replaced at the same time. But who am I to question them, this is their profession. Get the car back, the first night I have it there was a huge rain storm. Same issues full trunk and wet backseat. Drop it off the next day. A few days go by with no updates, finally I get the call that they think its a sunroof tray crack that they need to change the whole assembly to the cost of $3000. Since this was coved still by the dealership that sold me the car, they sent a mechanic adjuster to confirm the damage before payment was to be made. The adjuster wasn't shown the issue(the crack) but was shown a cell phone picture taken of a crack but not shown it on the actual vehicle so they denied the claim until they were showed further proof. So weeks pass Cherry hill VW blaming this warranty company for not wanting to pay. On the other side the warranty company saying they just need proof its not the sunroof drains and better pictures of the crack in the assembly. I get terribly frustrated to the point of me deciding to just do the repair myself. I not an ASE mechanic but my family owns a shop and over the years have become very accustomed to doing my own repair work. Ten mins after getting the car home I pulled down the rear headliner and popped the two drain tubes off the nipples of the assembly to find both are clogged. I cleaned them out and reinstalled. This fixed my leak In literally 20 mins of my time. The fact they charged me to clean these then never did only to try and upsell me to a $3000 fix is just appalling. If you are reading this please do yourself a favor and do not give this place your business. They are very unscrupulous. Also good luck ever getting a service adviser on phone

Absolutely awful experience. I called on a Friday explaining that the latch to my hood had broken, and was told to bring it in during the Express Service the following day. Great! However, when I brought it in the gentleman working the desk told me there weren't any technicians working that day. I told him my issue and he said they had fixed the same issue a few weeks prior and that I may need a loaner car. So I set up an appointment to bring the car back in. I bring the car in on my day off to have the work done and an oil change as well, and after waiting for two hours they said they can't fix the problem because - and get this - they can't open the hood because the latch is broken! I asked if they looked into where it had broken and the tech said no. I had googled the issue and he concurred that it was probably a small plastic connector midway through the line. They didn't even try to diagnose the issue or fix it. Simply said take it to a body shop, see ya later. I will not do business here again.

I have never experienced such a smooth transaction. Austin is a top notch salesman. He was never pushy, very knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I literally told him what I wanted in a car, test drove one car, drove it around for 5 minutes, and bought it. Jenna in finance was wonderful to work with, and was very helpful in explaining the extras that I needed or didn’t need. I walked out of their with a smile on my face, with a car a love. I slept so well last night which I usually don’t do the first night I purchase a car! I will definitely be back and highly recommend this dealership!

I visited Cherry Hill Volkswagen for the first (and last) time this past weekend. Long story short, the salesforce accidentally sent me an internal memorandum calling me “dense” because I could not understand how the dealership calculated my quoted nonsensical lease payment. Backing up, my wife handpicked the Atlas out of all potential large SUVs due to its roominess. Further, we expected to be treated fairly at VW based on my job’s corporate membership. A salesman showed us an Atlas and then brought us to his desk to discuss potential numbers. But he openly admitted a sales manager was not in the dealership to discuss numbers and a quote would be forthcoming via text later that day. After persistence on our part, we finally received an inflated lease quote. We contacted the salesman to discuss how VW calculated the quote. In response, the salesman sent me the “Lease Information Screen.” The Information Screen contained the MSRP, sale price, residual, lease factor, and a bunch of fees and taxes. We utilized the Information Screen numbers to calculate the expected monthly lease payment via an online resource. Unsurprisingly, the online resource returned a far lower payment. We presented this information to the salesman who directed us to a sales manager. Again, through my own persistence (regrettably we wanted to lease this car), a sales manager called me. My goal for the conversation was to determine what numbers displayed on the Information Screen were used to calculate the quoted lease payment. The sales manager could not answer my question. I learned quickly that the quoted price was concocted out of phantom numbers. For example, the Information Screen showed a lease factor of 0%, but the sales manager explained a lease factor was used in creating the quoted price but could not divulge what factor he used. The sales manager also chastised me for using “online” lease calculators due to their unreliability. That is, he used his own lease formula and the numbers used in his calculations would not be disclosed over the phone. This comment agitated me as we were in the showroom prior to this incident yet it was the sales manager who was not available to speak face-to-face. I immediately hung up the phone and vowed never to do business with Cherry Hill VW. After this phone conversation, I realized Cherry Hill VW is untrustworthy. What car dealership will not disclose the numbers used in calculating a lease payment? How could I ever determine if a deal is fair without all the information? I then received a text from the original salesman five minutes after I hung up the phone. The text quoted a lease payment $30 less than the original quote. But to my surprise, a few minutes after that text I received another text from the salesman, which stated: “[Sales manager] spoke to [me] over the phone, to explain the lease numbers. And customer was dense about the lease. Customer hung up.” This text was clearly not intended for me. The most disturbing thing about the text is that I am not “dense;” rather, I like to know how a lease number is calculated. My issue was not about how leases work but that Cherry Hill VW was not forthcoming. I immediately called Cherry Hill VW and spoke with the “third in command.” She listened to my story and vowed someone “higher up” would call me back. I have yet to receive a call back from the “higher up.” The salesman did call me to apologize, which I respected. But the damage had already been done. I am curious to see if VW responds to this post seeking to talk like it does with many others. This response would be disingenuous given an entire week has passed and no one has contacted me about my experience. Moral of the story, Cherry Hill VW manipulates lease numbers with a proprietary formula and then bad mouths its customers internally if the customer calls them out for its mysterious ways.

They suck. They wanted to charge me $3,000 for work that I got an estimate for $1,400 at an imported car garage. They over exaggerate issues and blame you for engine problems. I’m not inside my hood breaking things. Will never buy another VW again and will never come back here. They also charge you just to diagnose and you have to pay it whether you get it fixed or not. Go somewhere else, anywhere else!!

Kevin, my service manager, was very professional and made sure I had the car by the time I had requested. I have no problem taking my car for service at Cherry Hill VW.

My daughter took her car in with check engine light on. Service came back and said air leak rear main seal and Pcv with estimate to repair $2500. Talked to my mechanic, he laughed and said he has never heard of the check engine light coming on because of the rear main seal leak? Service department also told her car might not make it back to apartment or could break at anytime. Took to local mechanic and problem fixed for $400!! Wait, how could this be? Our Mechanic also looked at rear main seal and no leaks, seal was in great shape? How could this be? Kevin, way to be a stand up guy, trying to take advantage of a young lady, what a piece of work. If this is the kind of people that work at this dealership, DON’T use these guys!!! You charged over $100 dollars to diagnose the problem and then gave inaccurate information, what a class dealership and you all should be so proud of your actions. DON’T USE THIS DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE.

Brought car in for a second opinion on a leak from sunroof drain. Prior to bringing car in, brought to another VW dealer in North Jersey and they quoted me $600 for the repair. After waiting 3 hours, Mike in service tells me since there was work already completed and aftermarket parts were used, they would have to replace the entire frame where sunroof sits, quoting me over $3500 for the repair. After laughing at him and turning down the repair, I asked if headliner was taken completely down to check issue and he said yes and it was put back exactly like it was when I arrived. Got back into the car to leave and could tell they didn't even pull the entire headliner down to diagnose the issue, they just saw work had already been done to the part and tried ripping me off. On top of that no complimentary multi-point inspection was completed. What a joke of a dealer and feel bad for the people that have been taken advantage of there in the past. Thanks for wasting 3 hours of my time and charging me $130 for false information. If you're reading this, take your car elsewhere for service.

Great service! I usually avoid dealerships so I was pleasantly surprised by how great the service was here. Kevin Sullivan couldn't have been nicer.. they performed the recall work, provided a complimentary shuttle ride home, and phoned as soon as the work was done. No pushing of extraneous repairs or hard-selling unneeded service like other dealerships.

Went in looking for a Volkswagen Atlas. We test drove two options and were set on a specific trim. We also had an Audi to trade in but were not able to be on the same page as far as the numbers. They did not try for our business and pretty much left us with a "take it or leave it" feeling in regards to our options and tried to imply they were helping us. We got much better service down in the Washington DC area. I don't think there is much incentive for them to try very hard to make a sale since they have a somewhat captive audience with not much competition. The nearest VW dealer is up in Princeton, NJ and they know that. If you want a VW, you have to deal with them. It was definitely a surprise since we bought our Audi through them and my wife's family has bought at least 4 cars over they past 20 years and uses them for service. Needless to say, we bought our Volkswagen Atlas at Alexandria Volkswagen in the DC area.

Brought my 2013 VW Jetta in today and they were more concerned with taking money than they are about caring for the car. They were unwilling to do a multi point inspection which is a customary feature of basically every dealer in existence and gouge me before a problem is even found. They are fighting me on doing a multi point inspection because I think there is a noise on the front of the car (I think a pebble got lodged) because happened immediately after construction zone with lots of flying gravel. I didn't think this would be possible before I got here but I am deeply concerned they will cause problems on the vehicle in order to generate service dollars when nothing may be wrong. I brought the car here to give them business actually because I thought they were nice on my limited dealings with sales and service. I have other dealers that I use whom I know are completely honorable whom are a couple miles farther but I can be assured of fairness. I will be giving very honest follow up reviews to this situation.

60 k Passat factory service @ VW Dlr Excellent cust svc by Kevin & Bob And completely satisfied with mechanical work performed. Choose Oil change, oil & cabin filter replacement, & tire rotation from menu. Did not choose recommended, spark plugs & brake fluid flush & replacement. If all recommended svc from menu chosen it would have been 150 $ more than my monthly payment

Very nice service men but the quality of service is not there especially for the price and the fact that I went out of my way to come to the dealer to have my Volkswagen serviced. The day after I had my service the check tire light came on and they didn't replace the sticker. I called but no one returned my voicemail and When I found the time to return to have the sticker replaced there were no service men available. This is a sloppy business and I will not be returning to have my car serviced here again. I would not recommend this place for anyone who has a busy lifestyle and values their time.

Terrible, Terrible experience in the service department on multiple occasions. I called on two separate occasions to get recalls taken care of (Takata Airbag inflator & steering clock spring) both times they said they would call me back to set up appointments. Never heard back. I also called recently because I had a check engine light come on and I was hoping they would scan the code quickly and let me know what the issue was (which takes all of 15 seconds) - the gentleman on the phone told me to even pull the car in the shop it will cost $125.. I know they are in the business of making money, but simple things such as letting someone know what their check engine light is for (without charging $125) will definitely make customers more willing to do business at the retailer. Their service department has driven away my business on multiple occasions because of how rude they are and unwilling to help with simple matters.

We were in the market to purchase a Tiguan and wanted additional add ins such as the panoramic moon roof, and third row for the 4 motion. With the help of Vince, the sales manager, and Bob, the sales representative we had our specific Tiguan ordered and delivered brand new in just 2 days. Bob is experienced and extremely well informed about all things Volkswagen. He has been working for Volkswagen for a long time and his expertise shows. Bob was extremely thorough in walking us through all that the Tiguan had to offer, and he made the car buying process extremely seamless. We were in and out in 45 minutes of which 15 minutes were walking through the cars features! If I could give negative stars I would! Worst customer service and attitudes I’ve ever encountered. Long story- make sure you remove your own tags at turn in time! Mine weren’t removed and my car was illegally driven around by someone for more than 5 months and I had 2 red light camera tickets sent to me! I had turned the car in 5 months prior!! Additionally, all correspondence was sent to an old address for the first two months of having my car. AND when trying to resolve the tag issue, they refused to even throw me an oil change or some sort of compensation for all of the months they left me legally exposed with someone else driving around on my tag. They were rude and like to pass the buck back-and-forth between VW credit and themselves. Whatever you do go elsewhere!

As an attorney, I feel I have to be perfectly blunt in my comments. I’ve been going to Cherry Hill VW for almost ten years. The service provided completely depends upon whom the service department decides to appoint as the person to handle your case (what services you need for your vehicle). I have had been assigned service reps who have been excellent, and on the other hand reps who have been lousy, and I mean awful! The greatest weaknesses of this dealership are failure to return phone calls in a reasonable amount of time to not returning them at all; lack of consistent follow up (they have to be badgered at times). There is lack of consistent feedback (they tell you one thing and the next time you get a completely different story; it’s as if they do not remain on top of your case or don’t know what they are talking about). There is high turnover or moving around of personnel, so you can never request the same rep. There does not seem to be anyone in charge of running the service department; it shifts from time to time. It disappoints me to have to say I’ve been lied to and spoken to as if I am dumb or stupid. This has happened more than once! I have had to remind reps that I am a lawyer and have had to demand that they take their time and answer my questions articulately and not try to rush me out. I recently was assigned a rep who was there only two months and was practically illiterate. They definitely need to improve their image and hire a staff that is more highly educated and better trained! If you go there, keep your eyes and ears open and demand good service. Went in on Memorial Day weekend (with our two year old) and the car we were trading in, so OBVIOUSLY ready to buy. Who goes to a car dealership with a kid for fun? Knew exactly what model and trims we wanted. Never owned a VW before so also looking for some guidance. Also saw online that there should have been one Atlas on the lot which was exactly what we were looking for. Sales person wouldn’t take us for a test drive and said he’d get back to us the next day with their inventory. This was six days ago...obviously not interested in making a sale. So disappointing. Horrible experience.

From the moment I pulled into valet at Cherry Hill Volkswagen I was greeted and taken care of better than any other dealer/service center around. I walked into the service area and was greeted by Jose who took care of my needs for recalls on my VW CC as well as checking out my engine light issue. I was shuttled off to work and updated throughout the day on the progress of my vehicle with phone calls and was even picked up from work when my car was ready for pick up! I was told the issue with my engine light and the need for an intake valve scrap/ ignition coils replacement. I declined the service at the time but was going to reschedule at a later date. Again, I was greeted by Jose who went over with me that this would be a somewhat routine maintenance due to the build of the engine but if taken care of properly should only be about every 4-5 years or so. I appreciated his honesty as not many places do so. Unfortunately, when my car was pulled around I noticed instantly a crack in my windshield that was not there when I dropped it off and my airbag light was still on (again initially my car was taken in for recalls). I spoke with Jose before leaving the lot and he immediately apologized and looked for a way to rectify the situation. Upon review my steering wheel clockspring needed a complete replacement and only the protective cover was placed hence why my airbag light was still on & my windshield was going to be replaced at no charge to me as it was damaged on site. I was offered a loaner while my car was being worked on. Few days later, received a call from Jose that my car was ready. I came in after work so pretty much the service center was closed but I was able to get everything done within a timely manner with the lady at the cashier window. My car was pulled around and it was making a strange knocking noise but I didn’t think much of it. I got in drove off and only got up to the next light when my cars EPC light came on and would not go over 30 mph. I pulled into Walgreens and had to leave my car there overnight and bring it back to service center in the morning. Once I walked in I was once again greeted by Jose. I told him the issue and I agreed to just have the work done that was needed as at this point my car was not drivable. Again, he worked my car into the schedule and was offered a loaner and on my way I went. I received a call that my car was ready by Jose and he explained that upon service other issues were found and fixed and my initial quote given was actually going to be a little less so that made me a little happier. By this time I just wanted my car back finally with no issues. Walked into service greeted by Jose and was told to make sure I take the car on the highway to open it up as many times the engine light may come back on with the type of service my car had received. I did as I was told and as I was warned that it would my engine light did come back on and it was giving me the same lack in power as it had once before. I took it back ASAP that Monday and Jose once again worked my car onto the schedule and was given a loaner. He apologized for all the trouble I’ve been going through since bringing it in just for what I thought would recalls only. Received a call the same day that the tech believes the rest (3) of the ignition coils needed to be replaced as only one was replaced the first time around. This was done at no cost to me and was told to pick up my car the next day. I came in greeted by Jose and was taken for a test drive with him to feel if I had any other concerns before leaving the lot this time and I did not my car was driving as it once did before and I fell in love with it all over again. Until now no issues and I hope it stays this way. I know this review is very long and somewhat drawn out but I wanted to express my greatest gratitude towards Jose and the entire team at VW Cherry hill for the great care and respect I received. I will never take my car anywhere else for service than here from now on! THANK YOU!!!

I called to make an appointment and specifically said what was wrong with my car, “There is condensation inside the light assembly and I need the whole light replaced, not bulbs replaced.” I dropped the car off for service and an oil change. None of the details I gave on the phone were available: my address, phone number, email address. Where is that information?? Later, I received a call, “You have condensation in the light assembly and it needs to be replaced. We don’t have that here, you will have to bring the car back in after we receive that part. “ Maybe if you had listened to your customer you wouldn’t be receiving a bad review

Do yourself a favor and avoid this dealership. Read yelp reviews as well. Bob from the service department was rude and argumentative when I brought my car in due to the engine light coming on. I was told that my warranty would cover a diagnostic check and set an appointment up. When i walked inside the service building Bob thought I was someone else he had talked to and began telling me that he already told me on the phone about the $115 that the diagnostic test would cost (which wasn’t true I never talked to this guy before) and made the impression that my warranty would not cover the diagnostic test. He went off on a rant about some other person and their cars issues instead of helping me with a simple problem. Unprofessional and rude to say the least. Did not feel like giving this dealer my business and decided to take my car and leave.
