I should have read the reviews before coming over the bridge from Philly. These guys are a bunch scam artist. I saw a truck on Craigs and wanted to trade my car so I spoke with the saleman in person and he agreed to take $500 less than the advertised price. I returned with my trade two days later and his story changes and he all of a sudden needs more for his car. This isn't even the best part. Their idiot in charge of finance sends my bank a bill of sale short by almost $3700. I bring it to their attention so that there wouldn't be any discrepency and ask them to credit me $130 for a broken center console lid in their vehicle that I saw needed to be replaced and was quickly turned down. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE JERKS !!

The process was very easy and I was skeptical especially when it comes to car salesmen but I was pleasantly surprised. I bought my car in November and I’ve called them back with questions and for help several times and I always receive kindness and solutions for whatever questions or issues I have with my vehicle whether it was regarding my warranty or finding a good repair shop. I purchased a Geo Prizm 2002 from American Auto Group a month ago. I waited a while to see how the vehicle actually functions and other than some very minor fixes that the car visibly needed before I even left the lot, I honestly have to say that it drives like brand new. Definitely doesn’t feel like a 16 year old car. I’ve put almost 500 miles on it since the purchase and it has shown no problems. The service was also great. The dealer wasn’t at all pushy. Contrariwise he was very friendly and understanding of my budget. Without me even trying to haggle, he offered me a significantly lower deal than the original asking price. In conclusion, if you are looking for a value for money buy and a friendly business I strongly suggest you consider American Auto Group. Wear your seatbelts people !

NEW POST: No used car is without a problem or two. My 2012 Sonata GLS developed an oil pan leak. No big deal got it fixed in less than 2 hours. Then next problem was the steering, the steering wheel was not turning smoothy. This wasn't American Autos trying to sell you a defective car, it was a $6 rubber part in the EPS (electric power steering). This was a Hyundai recall and was quickly fixed at no charge by Burns Hyundai in Marlton. The most recent was the car shutting of 30 seconds after starting and the dreaded annoying check engine which had been on a while (something with the O2 sensors). I had the car towed to Burns Hyundai in Marlton for a diagnosis along with the warranty (WEC) that I had purchase from American Auto Group. I never believed or trusted these warranties as they always find a reason not to pay for repair. However in these case Burns assessed my Sonata as having misplaced relays under the hood and replacement of the oxygen sensors. Burns sent the estimate to WEC, it was approved and the dealership was paid within minutes of the works completion Thank you American Auto ! Alan ORIGINAL POST I want to share my recent experience in buying a car from American Auto Group. The staff, from the beginning of my search, to financing and trouble shooting small items were exceptional. Donny was patient and accommodating in helping me purchase a beautiful 2012 Hyundai Sonata. American Auto even picked me up to buy the car as another local used car dealer left me high and dry by not only taking my money but sold me a car that within two weeks had a transmission failure. That used car dealer (Cherry Hill Auto Sales), They refused to take the car back, return my trade or return my money. Until they saw the Judge and the owners, on video) degrading me and calling Turnersville transmission for a repair price. The judge loved that ! I returned to American Auto to have a few small things rectified. I was treated as nicely as I was when I went there to look for a car. In particular I would like to thank Frank Irizzary for taking the time to program the transmitter that opens the doors and trunk. His knowledge and expertise in reprogramming the remote with a high tech computer was amazing. If you are looking for a reliable used car that will last longer than your driving off the lot and has a pleasant that will accomadate whatever need arises. I completed a credit application online the night before, next morning Pat called, we went over my application, and he answered all my questions. I was looking for a Toyota Camry recently however all the models i found were expensive and wernt worth the price the dealers were asking for, however I recently just bought a Toyota Camry late july from American Auto Group and its a Great car. Ive been driving it for some time now and it runs fine, I found it at a reasonably affordable low cost, less then many other dealers were selling it for i requested him to fixed up a few things on the car before i bough it and mike did it with no problem. I went in to initially look at a Honda Civic which they were asking 5500 for, the sales rep actually seemed friendly, showed me the car, gave me some information, etc. Fast forward >> we go into the dealership where there was a large older dog who kept growling at me, which made me feel very uncomfortable, we do a credit report, and my credit score is not the best, granted why I'm looking for a car at one of these places so after a bit of negotiation with the sales rep and a 'finance adviser' there is another guy sitting in a desk that kept giving smart remarks like 'if you just had the cash you wouldn't have to finance at our 150% rates' after a few minutes of this I said that really isn't good for business, and is very rude, this guy flipped out and asked me to leave saying he does not need my business, that he was trying to help me by trying to charge me 15 thousand dollars for a 5 thousand dollar car. I should have read the reviews here on Google before even thinking about stepping foot into this place. Buyer beware, I'm also reporting them to the BBB.

Let's see my experience at first was great I thought they were good people trying to help us out we went in for a car they now have for sale again disclaimer don't but the car its a black 2006 mustang GT premium we bought for 15k with 200 dollar payments it has blue strips on the front driver side panel this car drove good for a few days everything seemed great and than the torqustion bar came loose and the bushings broke than the front splitter fell off and there was so many problems with the car we tried to fix it and they decided to buy it out from us without consent and basically stole the car from us needless to say we paid every dime to them that we had owed and now they have it up for sale for 9,850 and I will say I did beat on that car but in the most fun way possible

These people will lie to you. They overprice their cars and are very good at convincing you that it's a good price. On top of that, their cars tend to break down just after its been long enough that it's "your problem now" Their mechanic is not very knowledgeable either. I purchased a Honda civic seemingly in good condition and it ran fine... For three months. it began to have problems starting. We took it back and left it with the group for a few days. They claimed that nothing was wrong with it and if there was, they fixed it. It was after that when we realized that the front door no longer locked and the key would get stuck in the lock. You had to struggle with it to get it out. We were afraid it would break off in the door. Also, the driver's side passenger door would not unlock so we could not open that door. They said it must have been something we did and refused to cover for it. I asked if we could return the car and they informed us that there would be a $1500 restocking fee and we would be charged 25 cents per mile it was driven in addition to labor for the car. It seems to me that my case is typical of their service. I advise anyone even thinking of going here to turn away. They will rob you and you'll end up paying more in the long run. Go somewhere else.

Me and my fiance whent to American Auto Group to find a vehical! We needed a vehical right awa and could not waight a day or two. The employes at American Auto Group were so nice expecialy Mike Jr., he got us into a really nice vehical. they helped us get into a trail blazer that accomidated ower growing family even though we dont have the best credit and we needed the vehical that day. This place is really friendly and will help you out as much as they can without all the BULL that other dealers play with you! I began my experience w/ American Auto Group this past Saturday, decided to stop by and see if they had any vehicles I liked as I was in the market for a 'new to me' vehicle. I had been approved by other dealers but they either a much higher down payment than I could afford or a monthy payment sky high. The first thing Mike told me when I explained my situation is "We can help you". Of course, I was skeptical as I had been told that already by other dealerships and the 'help' had been unreachable - but this time, I realized it wasn't. When Mike said 'We can help', I told him what I wanted my monthly payments to be in the range of and they made it happen. And not with a vehicle I didn't like - I had been searching for a Camry and they had a beautiful red one that fit my needs perfectly. I did not experience any negativity from either Mike with American Auto that I dealt with, it was the exact opposite. Mike Jr. was patient with me and answered each question I had with a straight forward answer. I would definatley recommend others searching for a 'new to me' vehicle to check out American Auto! I'm also a huge animal lover and their office dog, Duke, certianly kept me entertained!

They sold my mom a horrible car and over charged her for the value of the car. Plus, the car needed so much maintenance to the car it was ridiculous....the maintenance came up to over $1000, within 2 weeks having the car. At least be honest and say the car may at least need $1000 in work put into it. Dont tell someone oh the car is in good condition and it just need an oil change. I would not recommend this place. It would of been nice if the guy was just straight up with my mom.

If you are reading this, you are doing your research, but heed my advice and AVOID THIS PLACE. Save yourself the trouble & headache. It would be easier for you to find another vehicle at another establishment then it would be to purchase with the American Auto Group. I should have known there would be trouble when my internet search mentioned a few bad reviews that I should have taken as a warning. Seriously go elsewhere. I went in to inspect a car I found on their website for $8500. I test drove the car, but at the time of purchase they told me it would be $10500 because the “internet price is Cash price”. I felt like I was getting ripped off but I still needed a car. So on 4/9 I purchased a “good”, “clean”, & “reliable” vehicle and 11 days later while I was stopped at a traffic light the car just cut off on me. I took it back to AAG and they told me that it was my problem now. I took the car to 3 mechanics who all said that the transmission had been recently been hastily repaired with a temporary silicon sealant and that I would need a new seal for my transmission. The warranty I purchased from American Auto Group paid for $110 of the repairs but only after a $100 deductible! The car has been in and out of the shop for the short 100 days that I’ve owned it. AAG was rude & unhelpful during the entire process. Just buy another car somewhere else. Save yourself the hassle.

I came in seeing a Acura TL knowing I’d have to put a bit down because my credit wasn’t the greatest but when you see a car you like you know you’ll do whatever it takes to get it. From start to finish Matthew was straight up with me from my options down to working with me non stop to ensure I left with what I asked for . There’s good customer service and then there’s genuine people but very rarely do you ever get both, it was an amazing experience and I recommend anyone looking to have a decent vehicle for a honest price do business here.
