I have purchased five new vehicles in my 39 years as a driver; and recently my 15 year old Tundra was about due for replacement. I HATE the car-buying process and literally put off the start of shopping for the last two or three years. But I finally rolled up my sleeve and dug into this chore. Some people like getting new cars, I don't. All I want is something I'm comfortable in that is reliable. After some research I opted to look into a Certified Pre Owned limited edition 4runner and even found a color combination of a magnetic gray ext. with redwood int. that I liked a lot. The only problem is that this specific choice was a little difficult to find and Toyota of Keene had one. It was an hour and twenty minute drive from home to look at this vehicle but it turned out to be the best decision I could have made. I worked with Mitchell Piper (salesman) and immediately felt at ease with him. He was knowledeable and down to earth. I had a pretty good idea of what I thought was a realistic price to pay and we were able to crunch the numbers with ease. Before you knew it I was signing paperwork and had zero anxiety from the process and no buyer's remorse in the following days that sometimes creeps up with people. It was simply a fair deal made with people who are in the business to make you a satisfied customer.

So, update to the initial review. First of all, my last review was given in exchange for a "better deal" so since I was offered the price I negotiated, I gave a "5-star" review. The price negotiation is where the "good" stopped. I started having some strange electronic issues, such as the tpms, and the thermostat being stuck on the highest fan at 72 degrees without being able to change it. I took it to a more local Toyota dealership to find a giant mess of wires that turned out to be a remote start with phone access among other wiring changes, as well as cut and spliced cables from the BCM harness. My local Toyota refused to work on it and I had to drive it over an hour back to Keene to have them look at it. They determined it would be cheaper and easier than rewiring the car to just have the remote starter fixed. Somewhere here in the middle, while driving I noticed my drive was really loud, like much louder than before. I realized the tires installed on my car were studded snow tires. Which means I now have to buy new tires for my car. I did not notice them at the time, because it was snowy when I purchased the car. They probably helped during the time, but instead of getting tires I can use year-round I have to buy new tires for my car after only owning it a month or so. Anyways I scheduled an appointment with the remote installers in Keene. another trip more than an hour away, and had the car examined only to find 3rd party seats, rear-view mirror and cut and spliced wires throughout the BCM harness, as well as other messes. They said I would essentially have to remove all the current mess of wires and start over. I then called Toyota of Keene and they did not want to pay for that, so I ended up driving it to them. They spent nearly 3 hours rewiring my car. This whole thing has left me with an uneasy feeling about my "certified" car. With wires being cut, studded tires I can only drive a small portion of time, and a remote start that could have still locked and unlocked my car as well as tracked it and started it from a smartphone all overlooked, I still have my concerns due to the gross oversights of this as well as spending hours getting my car examined, and having it refused by another toyota dealership due to the wiring. I spent time, money, and gas trying to get this issue straightened out. I now have to spend money on tires so I can drive my car in normal weather. I am dissatisfied in my experience, the service, and the amount of time and effort this has taken. On top of it all, I now have to spend more money just to use my car in normal weather. Chances are, the 5 star reviews here were bought, just like mine, and maybe people have had a better experience, but I won't be going back and I cannot recommend others try their luck.

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Failed inspection because of a few lights being out, replaced the light bulbs and called to ask if I could get my sticker the next day, was told it would be 5 days before they could get me in (after taking my money). Then, 2 weeks later, I get a call from the service manager Jason that they screwed up and didn't send appropriate information to the DMV regarding my inspection sticker and that I would have to make another trip to the dealership to get it fixed. They said they would fill my gas tank to make up for the inconvenience, and didn't. Don't waste your time or energy on this place. I will be taking my Toyota needs elsewhere.

They state: "Our team was able to offer you a discount off our posted online rates, but understand if that was not acceptable to you". To be fair, they did offer discount, but it was STILL significantly HIGHER than the advertised rate, per their website. Rate originally quoted: $695. Discounted rate: $605. Advertised rate: $35.95 Rental period: 10 days. Total Advertised Rate: $359.50 That's not an opinion. It's math. __________________Original Review________________ I have used Toyota of Keene a few times for car rentals, and have loved every minute of it... from the friendly staff to the great rates. I've recommended them to numerous family and friends, who've all had similar experiences. And I know at least two who now go there for service or have bought a car from them. However... my most recent experience completely spoiled all the rest. Despite their advertised rates, they have now jacked up their prices to include mysterious "mileage" and other fees, which they don't disclose. The cost for a 10 day rental was MORE THAN DOUBLE the advertised price. And, the actual driving being done was LESS THAN HALF previous rental miles. So disappointing. I get that you have to adjust things to make a profit, but you need to make sure you adjust your advertised rates, and maybe... just maybe communicate with your previous clients about changes, about them. 4.5 star experience dropped to 2 star. They still seem like nice enough folks, so I give them that.

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change knowing that my 25K/2 year was closing to an end. When I arrived, I was told I didn't need an oil change and the "free" service was a tire rotation and NOT an oil change. I said to go ahead and do the tire rotation. This service then took an hour and a half!!! When my car was out of the garage, it took a good 10-15 minutes before I got my keys and was able to leave. I still don't understand why I'm not entitle to my last "free" oil change, no matter what kind of oil used. Disappointed? YES!

As this was my first experience buying a car by myself, I was a bit nervous. However, Joel, Jeff, and everyone else I worked with at the dealership made the process so easy! It is fun to drive and has gotten even better gas mileage than I expected. Mitch Piper helped me through the buying process and was fabulous!! He was not high pressure while answering all my questions. He is very knowledgeable about all the vehicles and was very helpful in the selection process. I wouldn't recommend anyone getting a vehicle here. I purchased a car from Toyota of Keene. The sales team was very nice, but that's where it ended. When put through the financial department, they aggressively pushed extra warranties, features, and insurances. At first, I said no to everything except the GAP insurance. However, the employee continued to push for the warranty. He decreased the duration of the warranty and pushed it again insisting it was a better deal. Normally I say no to these extras, but the employee ensured me the extended warranty would pay itself off after a single repair of around $500 as it did for him. Hardly the case. In reality, these tactics were exceptionally deceptive. He never showed me the full cost of the warranty, only the full cost of the car which was clearly displayed. So when I finally had a chance to look at the total bill after purchasing the car, the warranty was almost $2,000. Confused at the amount, I called the financial department to clarify. Over the phone, the employee was rude and made remarks like "Do you think the warranty was free?" Obviously I didn't, but by no means did they clearly convey that it cost this much in total. This was ultimately a classic case of what people hate the most about buying vehicles at dealships: being pushed for extra features and getting deceived into spending more money.

I’m giving three stars instead of five because it doesn’t distinguish between service and sales. I had a great experience with service. They found the problem quickly and fixed it. Because it was a simple fix that took less than two minutes and didn’t require parts, they didn’t charge my extended warranty. They deserve 5 stars. Polite, pleasant and honest. While I was there, I went out to sales to discuss a car I’d seen that I was interested in. Being a Friday afternoon, I guess everyone was tired after a long week because I couldn’t get one sales person to pay attention to me. They looked down at their desks or left the room completely. I left without ever having been greeted or helped. I’ve bought most of my vehicles from either Honda of Keene or Toyota Volvo of Keene. I may have to rethink that in the future.

In the process of moving to New Hampshire, I was involved in a five car accident. Needing to shop for a new vehicle was the last thing we needed. Went on line, and saw several, both in our present state of CT., as well as in the Keene area. When we stopped at Toyota of Keene, we were warmly greeted by Joel in sales. We had a test drive, and my wife loved the vehicle. During the sales process, there was no pressure, and the atmosphere was friendly. When we closed the deal, and then came to take to delivery, the vehicle was ready, the gas tank was full (not something I am at all used to), and since we had two of our dogs with us, much of the staff came out to meet our furry friends. I am 66, so this is not my first time with car purchases. Toyota of Keene was a different experience, you are part of the family. When my wife's car needs replacing, Toyota of Keene will be our first stop.

Since my Avalon is a lease automobile, I'm still covered under their warranty program for routine service so can't speak for the cost of anything that was done but service was done quickly & everyone is friendly & helpful. The gal that checked the vehicle in went out of her way to show me where the child safety locks were on the doors, as one had apparently been set. My only problem is the travel to get it done but so far have been able to coordinate it with something else I have to do in Keene, so it hasn't been too bad.

I just came in for a routine oil change. The day before my appointment I noticed that my front passenger side plastic wheel well area was coming loose. I asked on the day of the oil change if I needed to schedule an appointment for the repair. Looked like some fasteners were not holding the piece in place as it should. The mechanic was going to take a look. When the oil change was done, it had all been taken care of. No extra charge. I'm sure some small fasteners were replaced, but the awesome attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to take care of a small problem without more shop-time was beyond my expectations. I really wanted to like this dealership, but they pushed me over the edge too many times. I leased a vehicle back in 2017 with them, which was a great process and easy and felt I got a decent lease deal. Since then it's been nothing but trouble, with any scheduled hour services typically taking 2 1/2 with no explanation or apology. That has happened twice, then they sent me an offer to redo my lease with a better deal, newer vehicle, great incentives. I go in and they joke me around with the exact same vehicle for MORE money? They simply can't explain why, and won't talk about. Looking forward to when this lease is up so I can simply buy the vehicle and walk away. I will then find another dealer and sell it, and start a new lease there. All this place had to do was have a conversation with me about why, instead I always got a cold shoulder and improper treatment. I really wanted to like this dealership, but they have given me nothing but trouble.

Went for 5,000 mile check up . I told person when making my appointment i needed a ride to work for 8:30. I arrived with my truck at 8:10 aaked for my ride and was told we dont guaranty a time for rides. I was not told this when i said i needed a ride to work. All i got was a sorry but was 45 minutes late for work that made me very mad.

I had an appointment for 4 for an inspection oil change and tire rotation. It took two hours and no one spoke to me about why it was taking so long. Then when I asked about it I was told they were running behind due to a lift breaking. The waiting room cleared out three times while I waited.... it was basic service. Just seems a little extreme of a waiting period and bad divorce if no one could at least talk to me about it.

I want to preface this with my experience with this dealership up to this point had been nothing short of amazing. In this specific case however, I picked up a sharp piece of metal in a "un-repairable" portion of my tire. I called the service department asking if there was any warranty or anything else they could do considering I just bought this car from them a little over a month ago. The representative stated they couldn't provide me a new tire under any warranty, at a discounted price, or even at regular price. I was told they didn't even have a clue what tire it would require with out my bringing it in. I was told to order any tire would take days (I don't have days). Needless to say I was highly disappointed with the lack of knowledge of the tires that come stock on a car that they have many of in the dealer lot. I'm also unhappy with the lack of ability to help me in any way even at full price. Bought a new tire at Town Fair Tire, who I found very helpful and accommodating.

Complete misrepresentation of warranty information. The truth came out after hours of time spent driving to and from, and the paperwork process. Then, to "make it right", we were offered a warranty plan add-on for $2250 out of our pocket. Just when I started thinking that maybe some dealers aren't shifty. Feel so stupid for letting my guard down, and the huge amount of time wasted that I'll never get back!

I took my 2012 Prius in for a state inspection and the replacement of street tires with snow tires. The state inspection found no problems. I was not surprised since this car has been the most reliable I have ever driven. The Michelin X-ice snow tires ride smoothly and quietly. The service was courteous and professional.

My husband was not very impressed by the installation of a tow hitch package on my 2013 Tacoma. Upon dropping off the keys to the truck he was told that the installation would only take one to two hours. Four hours later the installation was complete. He supposes that had the technicians not taken a one hour lunch break, the work would have at least been closer to the time quoted. Also, the box the package came in was left in the truck bed, empty. At least the installers could have cleaned up after their work.

Besides an oil change, the only need for my 2017 Prius Prime was a new set of wipers. “Not in stock” was the result. Why should an oil change take 1-¼ hours? Later that day I found they reset my respectable lifetime 141 MPG which I had been nursing for almost 2 years. Now my total MPG record is useless. Technical training is clearly lacking.
