I recently (about a month ago) had my wife's Nissan Versa in to Somersworth Nissan for the Takata airbag recall finally after waiting months for the parts to arrive. The airbag got changed out fairly quickly and upon leaving my wife was told she needed numerous parts and repairs and her car was not safe to drive. I've been driving and working on cars longer than the tech has been alive as my wife has. She said thanks but she'd risk getting home... I understand this is pretty standard practice for most dealerships but I was hoping Somersworth Nissan might be different, Nope! I know the car is not in showroom condition, it gets driven a lot and is not the best built vehicle I've ever owned but it's safe, my grandchildren ride in it and I would not put them at risk. When I speak with my wife about how the repair when she gives me the story and hands me a piece of small black plastic that the tech had forgotten to put back, well I think ok I'll see where it goes back in under the dashboard. Not wanting to put my wife thru another visit to Somersworth Nissan service. The piece is a vent cover to the heating and cooling system but I can't find where it goes. The heat, AC and defroster all work so I figure what is one less piece of plastic in a plastic car... Well I call yesterday about getting something else looked at and how about putting back the piece from the airbag repair. The service guy - Jason tells me they'd have to charge me for looking at the car because it's been a month since the airbag replacement and why didn't I run back sooner to have it looked at. That does it for me! I'll travel to Portsmouth, Concord, Manchester anywhere else to get service than the Somersworth Nissan. I don't care for the customer service and the whole attitude I got from the techs, managers etc... Really poor service and way overpriced for the work not done right. I'd give the dealership zero stars if I could. Will not recommend to anyone who asks.

Somersworth Nissan does not trust in their customer at all. very dissapointed when I went to the store to have my recent brand new car leased to have 5K service and I was not aware that I should pay for tire rotation which costs $19. No problem until that, however, I had only my smartphone with its electronic version of my credit card and they do not have any smartphone card reader. When service manager was called to check what could be done I gave the option to get my actual card at my job which is 3 min by car from store, but he simple told me: "You cannot leave with your car to anywhere until you pay the $19". What??? Be a liable customer, where I have been leasing two brand new Nissan worth nothing? He just made me feel like I was trying to cheat them!! Ridiculous! How can I recommend and still being a customer from a place who put in check a customer reputation for a ridiculous $19 tire rotation.

For the record, I never leave negative reviews for any company. This place was decent for regular maintenance (oil change and tire rotation), but when my tire popped a couple months ago, they were very shady and deceptive. Coincidentally it “popped” hours after my service appointment (imagine that). I needed to change 1 tire. They charged me full price for the tire rather than notifying me I was under warranty and could receive new ones for free. At the time, I did not know obviously. The entire visit they seemed they couldn’t be trusted. And now I know why. Do NOT trust these people. I highly recommend going to another dealership.

My husband and I just had the best experience at Somersworth Nissan! We went to another dealership which will remain nameless and they were extremely hard to work with. They refused to help us with what we needed and said it was impossible to get our payments lower. We left discouraged and feeling hopeless. We decided to try again with another dealership and ended up at Somersworth Nissan! We walked in and right away they were extremely nice! We told them the problems we were having and they said they would try their best! Well they did better than I ever imagined! They not only got the payment down over $100 less then what the other dealership quoted us, we got to take the car home that day! They made it a simple easy process. I am unbelievably happy with the service they have provided us with today!

Jesse (sales rep) was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very easy to reach by phone and text with immediate responses to my questions. Brendan (family/owner) was involved in the process and very invested in our satisfaction. The Finance Team was professional, friendly and comfortable/easy to work with. The service department is outstanding in ease of scheduling, quality of work and follow up. When I was 18 I got my first car here (a 2014 Nissan versa note) and at the time I was really happy with it. I had to replace a few things here and there and noticed I was having trouble with accelerating and it didn't seem to drive very smooth, I took it into the service department and Alex was able to get Nissan involved with covering my transmission (I was JUST out of warranty) and got me into a rental car until they fixed it. I paid it off and decided I needed something better on gas and something that was updated (my car before was a basic model with crank up windows, no bluetooth, etc). My husband and I went to a different dealership and told them our budget and what we wanted and they put us in a car double our budget and seemed mad when we had to walk away because they wouldn't back down on how I needed this new car. I went to Somersworth Nissan because I always had great experiences with service and had a good experience with my first car and I'm glad I did. Lexi helped me pick out my car and was great, not pushy like the "typical" car salesperson and patient when my dad and I needed to ask questions or needed time to talk. Ethan (I believe he was the sales manager?) was great at explaining terms and putting things into a language I would understand since I didn't know much about cars. The process was smooth and we had great experiences with each person that helped us along the way.

Let me preface what I'm about to say with this: I owned a Nissan Pathfinder back when owning a Pathfinder was worthwhile (the year was 1993-ish)... what an excellent 'mobile it was. So... I went in last week to see a 2018 Pathfinder for the first time. I just wanted basic info on the vehicle; made a point of saying that exact thing to the person who greeted us. Me, my lovely wife, and our carefree 4 year old. Oh boy, we did not foresee what happened next. Newbie salesman pounces, tells us his life story, then proceeds to READ THE WINDOW STICKER to us. "It's got fog lights!" he exclaims. He says also that it's their only 3-row vehicle. "What about the Armada?" I ask. "Oh, well, we have those too." It was clear and quick [to us, at least] that we were not interested in the decidedly ugly and haphazardly misshapen Pathfinder. Inside and out, it is horrid. Oh, how far from grace these machines have fallen; they used to be a joy to behold. Trying to leave, the jackal attacks again, nearly demanding my contact information. "Yeah, I'm not at that point yet," I tell him, "Give me your business card. Don't call me; I'll call you." This vulture circles back to his office to grab a business card AND a blank form that requires entry. "So," he snarls, "your name? 'Randy' is it?" He starts to scrawl on his demonic tome. "No," I'm a bit dumbfounded, "I just told you that I'm not giving you my information." "You're not going to give me ANY information?!" He drools. "No. I'm not doing that!" I've become annoyed further. We storm out. My recently-innocent child doesn't understand why we're being accosted and she is as uncomfortable as I am except she still has an irrational fear of douchebag salesmen... as well she should. I am a relatively calm and collected man; I have become visibly angry. And it really would have been a forgettable event at this point... until the underling's manager followed us out of the showroom, into the parking lot. "Excuse me," he starts. I am trying to place my bewildered child into her carseat. "EXCUSE ME!" the Devil-man shouts. "Why are you leaving?!" "Go away," I snap, "We're not interested in your vehicles." Now I am furious and also starting to worry about the safety of my wife and my child, "GO AWAY. GO AWAY. LEAVE US ALONE!" I bellow. He does not go away; he follows. He follows closer. He wants to know what his minion has done wrong. He wants answers. He wants to TALK WITH US AT LENGTH about our experience. In his defense, this Prince of Darkness was calm despite my apparent and growing distress. But I needed to leave forcefully now, lest he talk and talk and talk some more. Nissan - listen closely: your cars are BY FAR nothing special. Your disgusting and abhorrent sales practices are, at best, a snake oil. I am not interested in your subpar machines. I will not be attracted by lies, half-truths, and high pressure sales tactics. And furthermore, SCREW, may I add, YOU. This family will never own a Nissan again; not so long as I live

Our next car will not be a Nissan. My husband and I purchased a Nissan that is approximately four years old with 50,000 miles. It had numerous issues while under warranty....so much so we purchased an extended warranty because we expected more problems....which we have had!! Of course these repairs means numerous visits to the dealership and much time wasted. Customer service is just OK....there is not a lot of going above and beyond. As stated, our next car will not be a Nissan.

This is BY FAR the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Brought my car in to have the transmission checked, 2 hours later I go looking for my car and it's no where to be found. Turns out 3 recall issues had been fixed and they took the car to wash it, all without telling me. I took the car again to have my key FOB reprogrammed, 90 minutes later I had to be the one to ask for an update. Just called to check on bringing this car back (it's a lease) and they will lease you a car on the weekend but you can only return it M-F 9am to 5pm (my exact working hours BTW). Go down the road to Tri-City Subaru and pay a little extra for a much better car and MUCH better service.

I've leased/purchased 4 cars in the last 13 years, always with ease and a good experience. I left NH 8 years ago but have still gone back to them for the pricing and customer service, and even had my last truck shipped cross country so I didn't have to deal with another dealership on the West Coast. I also recommended my father to them, and not only has he purchased his last 2 Altimas for them, they've even been personally delivered to him since he's about 1.5 hours away in MA. The second one they even brought the paperwork so he didn't have to take the drive to NH at all. When I lived in the area I would service there as well, and it was always easy and pain free. Prior dealer always has some kind of issue or surprise they wanted me to address, even when just coming in for what had planned as a quick oil change. Sales are pretty good. Worked hard to get us a car we liked for our budget. They earned the stars I gave and them alone. Service department gets nothing. I tried to write the full story but I exceeded the limit for the google review probably by thousands of characters so I’ll do this short. Service department will do shotty work and when called out by another mechanic Nissans service manager will act like a child and throw out Condescending remarks and be a complete unprofessional jerk along with saying another certified mechanic doesn’t know what their doing. I showed them photo proof of negligent work on their part and was greeted by hostility and treated like a piece of garbage by the service manager. When they got proven wrong and what I told them was wrong with the vehicle in the first place due to already seeing a mechanic I was offered no apology and was greeted by the service manager aggressively ripping the door to the children’s play area where I was with my two year old daughter closed and had condescending remarks thrown at me. When I told them I would not be paying 900 for a repair on a car we got just three months prior I was aggressively told my car was in the bay all ready and I may leave now (more or less “get out”) in the most unprofessional manner I have ever seen. The service manager Keith is not customer friendly at all and instead of being an adult acts like a total jerk and treats people like they are garbage when proven wrong. Considering the level of professionalism and courtesy that Nissan has always promoted my wife and I are more than disappointed in this whole scenario. We were hoping to buy another vehicle from them in the fall and now I will be going anywhere else to buy a vehicle or have service done. Very sad to be treated with such hostility and this level of unprofessionalism.

This was the fastest and easiest car purchase we have ever made! We knew which 2 cars we wanted for our growing family, and we were given the option to complete forms and view photos of the cars electronically in advance. The manager, Ethan, offered discounts over the phone right away, and made sure documents and both cars were ready when we arrived. All staff members were extremely friendly, efficient, and helpful. They went out of their way to offer water, set up apple play in both cars, review options and features in the vehicles, and make sure we were comfortable. I honestly have never been happier with a car- buying experience and am very thankful for the excellent service at this dealership.

When I called explained my situation the manager wasn’t understanding at all and told me I had to come pick up my car or they’re keeping my money. Aparrently this dealership doesn’t care about their customers or integrity. Portsmouth Nissan beat their price but couldn’t get the car located so I figured I would buy here instead. It was my first time at this location, and I will never go back! Was having recall work done that was expected to take less than an hour. Three hours later I still had not received a phone. When I went back to check on the status of the work, they could not find my paperwork. My paperwork was "filled" on the seat of a chair. When they did locate it, my keys were not with it and also missing. They than left me to wait while they searched for them. When they finally did find my key and brought me my truck. They simply stated that the keys were hanging on the to be washed board, even though the tag clear said do not wash. No apology was given. This was a opportunity to earn my business. Having three strikes in one visit, losing my paperwork, misplacing my keys and forgetting to call me, mean I will never go back!

Sales people are fine, however we had a problem with the car’s ac (barely used 2016 VW Passat). The drivers side blows out hot air while the passengers side is cold. We have had the car to their service center 4 times now. We have even taking the car their to show them blowing out hot air on driver side. They created today appt. we bring the car in again - mind you this is the 4th time. They did nothing to fix it cause AC worked fine today. They know there are multiple actuators and valve doors to this and I’m guessing just didn’t want to spend the time to repair what they said they would. I’m disappointed in the service here & wouldn’t buy a vehicle from them again if they can’t fix what they sell.

UPDATE: I talked to the VP, Ethan, and he was able to completely cover the costs for a new oil pan. I appreciate him caring about great customer service enough to look into my situation further and follow up by phone. He also informed me that for future service decisions like this, he will be informed first. Thanks, Ethan! I would not trust the service program at this particular Nissan dealership. I brought my '11 Altima in for an oil change and was told that my oil pan plug had been stripped. I've had my oil changed at this location consistently for over a couple years, and they were the last people to change my oil. They wanted to charge me for a new oil pan replacement (the best they could do was approx. $230), or they would install a self-tapping plug. Ultimately, I will have to replace my oil pan anyway because I opted for the self-tapping plug, which is only good for one use or so. The service manager claimed there is no way the tech could have stripped the oil pan and it must have just "occurred over time", even though they didn't mention anything about wear on my oil plug/oil pan threads on any prior visit.... and they were unwilling to cover the costs of a new oil pan. My problem is that this isn't something that just simply happens over time. This is something that typically happens from overtightening and cross-threading or removing the plug too fast. There was even threads from the oil pan left on the plug, which is a sign of overtightening. In addition, I don't know anyone (including mechanic friends/family) who's had a plug strip due to age of the oil pan, even on older vehicles, and there's no reason for it if the plug is removed with care. For this reason, I will not be bringing my vehicle back to this dealership for any future maintenance.

One of the worst experiences of not just any car dealer but any business establishment I've probably ever experienced. I spent all week discussing a specific vehicle with their sales representative, Dustin -- applied for financing and made an appointment to proceed with a purchase/trade-in. I travelled 2 HOURS to this dealer today. When I arrived I was told that the car had sold the day prior and that the sales rep I was working with didn't even work weekends. Not only did the sales rep give me no warning that he didn't work weekends, he sent me emails confirming my appointment with him, and the dealer even submitted a credit check on me. No one bothered to contact me in any way to notify me that the vehicle had sold before I made this trip (I made it clear that I was located very far). On top of that they made absolutely no attempt to ameliorate the situation or explore other options and basically pushed me out the door. Completely unorganized and unprofessional.

Stay Away Please Read to the End On 4/13/15 I bought this 2014 nissan frontier p.u.sv v6 4x4 king cab auto with supposedly 4,000 miles on it. it is a somersworth nissan certified pre-owned vehicle with remainder of manufactures new truck warranty. i was told by the salesman, who`s daily driver is a dodge that the Very Stressfull negotiated price we agreed on was solid. Take the truck home come back in morning to do paper work. Salesman calls me in mrn. says deal is off, come in and talk. Wife and I are in our 70`s don`t need stress. we return in mrn. and after I blow my top they change mind and give us truck at the price agreed on. The truck now 3/7/18 has 25,800 miles on it. and up to this point. -1- both rear wheels and tires needed to be replaced. -2- at 15,000 miles nissan required 407.58 dollars of maintenance service to be done -3- air bag campaign recall done. -4- with vibration in steering wheel they find front brake rotors warped and brake pads need to be replaced. Service adviser blames low mileage I say B.S. He hands me an estimate of 405 dollars. I say it is under warranty bumper to bumper. He says that`s salesman jargen (means nothing). He is mad says i swore at him saying B.S. and wants apology. I guess he doesn`t mind being called a liar. Brake pads and rotors are replaced under warranty after he says he made a mistake B.S. -5- vibration still there they say front drive shaft needs to be replaced the work is done under warranty. -6- I call service director for 30,000/36 mnth maintenance service estimate he tells me that nissan somersworth requires a lot of work to be done at this service time. he tells me cost of work will be $900.dollars Yes $900.00 More B.S. Do Yourself A Favor Stay Away from This Dealership DAVE 4The owners response 20 hours ago to my review posted 4 months ago asking me to email THEM "TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT" When they have had my email since my sorryfull Truck purchase years ago is MORE B.S.!! STAY AWAY!!! Update as of 8/8/19 I Went for A Sate Inspection sticker on july /12/ 2019. Truck had 38,009 miles on it. Truck was rejected because of right rear axle seal leaking. I was told to take it to a Reputable Nissan Dealer. I did and it turns out the right rear axle needed to be replaced. Since I bought this Somersworth N.H.Nissan Certified Vehicle with ONLY 4,000 miles on it. (1)both rear wheels and tires have been replaced (2) warped front brake rotors and brake pads needed to be replaced (3) Front drive Shaft needed to be replaced and now Right Rear Axle needed to be replaced. STAY AWAY !!! I just spoke via phone (8/9/19) with Mr. Clark Somersworth Nissan Dealships VP. He said he was sorry but for every 9 happy customers there is one like me. 1 0ut of 10 is a bad deal ?

Had a really bad experience with buying a car here. I would not trust anything any employee says to you here. After a few days of complete hell messaging back and forth Ethan Clark ( VP of Operations ) was able to help me. He is a very respectable guy that backs up his word. As for the rest of the employees not so much. They have great cars at reasonable prices, I'm not sure at this point if I would purchase another car from them or not. Terrible dealership! i bought my first car here and right from the beginning i started finding problems....rust on the rocker panels was the first and they agree to fix it, but it took 3 weeks! for them to get the right parts and i was stuck making my first car payment without my car. Then the alternator went....they replaced that. but in doing so, didn't do it right, so on my way home from work one night my car just died because they had installed it wrong. when i asked for a rental car during the 3 week wait for the rust repair that was stated in the original agreement before i bought the car, they denied me a rental car. Then my converter had to be replaced, which luckily happened in the first 30 days so it was covered, which also took 2 days to complete. Now a few months after purchasing the car i went in for a oil change, they didn't wash my car like they said they would, and when giving me the keys he told me i had a cracked front axle and my other catalytic converter needed to be replaced! You would think they would have noticed this $1200 converter starting to go when they changed the other one but nope, they decided not to tell me back when it was under warranty so now i am stuck paying $1600 for repairs for a car i have had for a few months. And in the middle of giving me my bill, he stopped and started talking to this girl who just walked in, talking about how she was going to make a payment on something. VERY RUDE , VERY SLOW, and overall horrible costumer service.

Bought a 2015 Chrysler 200 from this dealership. They knew no knowledge on this vehicle that had a 2016 sticker on the windshield and told me it was a 2016 misleading me through the sale the entire time when I realized it i confronted them and the first thing they said is what do you want us to do about it i said well seeings how the car is a year older then what u stated i would like some compensation for it you knew right along it was a ‘15 but advertised it as a 16. So the guy goes okay ill go speak with the owner of the dealership, well he comes back and says all the paperwork you signed had the correct dates and we stand by the sale but we will give you two free oil changes. I did not push it further on that i should have read each and every document he handed me which would have taken several hours to read so i said fine. Then about 20 days after pulling the car off there lot the serpentine belt starts making a racket so i bring it in and complain. As the result they took my car into there shop and said they fixed it and told me to call if there where anymore issues and that normally they don't cover thing like that because its not part of state inspection. In my experience thats quality control and should not have been sold like that. Well after i left i brought it to my mechanic to real quickly make sure everything was done right and come to find out they sprayed stop squeak on it and did not actually replace the item. After some back and forth with the company i finally got them to replace the belt (for real this time) and about 1.5 months later it starts to make the same noise. Come to find out the belt was bad which they fixed and the tension was also bad which they didn't fix my mechanic said it’s probably because they didn't want to deal with it but they would have noticed at this point i will not deal with this location again i will pay for the tensioner myself. Not only that but they did 6 hard inquiries on my credit report and dropped it by 20 points I've been trying to rebuild my credit for a year now so this was a slap in the face. But to potential buyers beware this dealership WILL MISLEAD YOU they will SELL YOU A POS and they will make you regret ever going to them to buy a vehicle do not go there go somewhere else everyone i know has told me they have heard only negative things about them and from my experience this dealership is dirty and all negative comments are true.
