Ended up buying this car from SC, sight unseen. The team at Rochester Toyota handled themselves with class and professionalism the entire time. They worked with me on the price of the vehicle and the warranty and answered all my questions, even driving the vehicle about 30 miles so a friend of mine could test drive the car before the purchase was completed. The only annoyance was the car showing up not detailed as promised. I'm not sure what happened by they made it right and split the cost of me having to have the car detailed. Would by from them again.

In Januart I bought from them a used car for my 80-year-old aunt. The car was missing an owner's manual, not a big deal but not for an elderly person: keyless entry, everethyng computerised, - she did not want it without a paper manual. The sale person and the sales manager sworn to us the manual was ordered from the Mitsubishi dealership a day before we signed the paperwork. Since then I contacted both of them and even the general sales manager just to get "the check is in the mail" type response. What kind of business would break its promises for a few bucks?

Be very weary when leasing a vehicle from these people, especially if you are elderly or a female. They like to play games over VERY minor wear and tear that's is supposed to be covered, and obviously expected, in a three year lease.

I brought in a Toyota truck only a couple years old, for an inspection sticker. I had just bought the truck from another dealer.They failed me for a couple water droplets in my front light assembly, wipers streaking, and two side front lights being out. I took it to a local place for second opinion. They said wipers were fine, no lights were out, and there was no moisture in the head lights. Basically these Rochester chiselers were looking for an easy $700 off a first time customer. Polite....

The guy that I met with I can't remember his name but he use to have his own printing company retired and decided he wanted to sell cars he's a real straightforward guy tells it like it is but he's very nice. Toyotas are one of the best cars and this Toyota dealership is great not just the gentleman I spoke to but in general I don't feel like you would have a bad experience but as with any car dealership definitely do your homework before you go looking at vehicles I give them 5 star

Don't know why this place has changed so much since we started coming here, and changed for the worst. First of all the person that waited on us did not seem to know what type of oil went into the car, I had to tell him and show him with the last oil change. Then when it was completed my husband was told we needed a battery, which still seems strange since the last time, they cleaned it and said we could just keep doing that. I did call and spoke with the manager, who was very good and listened, and did offer some advice. I realize that people make mistakes, but when it involves my property, I need to trust the people I am going to.

Service was fine. Quick as well. However, was extremely disappointed in learning that a nail in a tire was not considered a road hazard and therefore not under the additional warranty which was paid for. That is exactly what the definition of a road hazard is. Next time, I'll hit a big piece of metal so that the tire is completely ruined, have the car towed in under the warranty, and the tire replaced in its entirety.

I do like the dealership but had an epiphany today. Grease/oil/filter, tire rotation, 6 spark plugs, and install my cabin air filter was about $280. The truck was in the shop for about 55 minutes. The invoice said $220 labor? Less than one hour?

My wife’s car has been serviced at Rochester Toyota over the past 3+ years and we have had a pretty good experience. They are straightforward about everything and they do good work. The staff are all friendly, they have complimentary drinks and Wi-Fi, and they score brownie points for being dog-friendly. The only complaint I have is that their service is usually super slow. I haven’t purchased a vehicle from Rochester, so I can’t speak for the buying experience.

Beware of "the letter". Received a letter from the Sales Manager Dave Barrett saying they had clients looking for 2012 Prius' and they might be able to pay up to $9500, depending upon condition. My car was as close to new looking as you could get, really in excellent condition. I spoke with him before bringing it in, I kind of thought it was a scam, but he seemed legit and asked if we were going to buy a new car, I said no, and he still said $9500 or even more, depending upon condition. So I brought it in, and giving the info to Bob mentioned I had thought this was a scam, but I guess it wasn't. Waited quite a while to get the price they offered me, almost two hours the whole thing took. He came back with $6500. I was like, how do you get from $9500 down to $6500, $3000 less?? He said I needed tires, and they have to do certain things to all the cars they take in, change filters... I figure then, take out $300 for tires, but that is still $2700, off of their "offer". I felt scammed and felt I wasted three hours of my day. Not worth it, they should be more upfront and honest. That was not an honest offer, especially when he knew I was not buying a new car. I am sure if he had wanted to give an honest figure he could have especially since my car had no issues and was in super condition. Just beware before you spend the time.

Recently purchased a car from Rochester Toyota. I'm a first time car buyer and was hoping for a good experience buying a used car from them. However, a few things made my experience far from ideal. First, three days after purchasing the car, it wouldn't reverse. Obviously this was concerning and I had to have my vehicle towed up to the dealership because I was told Rochester Toyota doesn't offer towing services. They then told me it was a loose bolt and that they were sorry and they didn't charge me for fixing it. But it still cost me to tow the car and get an Uber up to the dealership to pick up the car ( note* the service person I spoke with was genuinely helpful and kind so I appreciated that). Then, just weeks after I purchased my car, Rochester Toyota sent me a written offer to buy my car back (they send this every month or so). Nothing wrong with this except they offered me the "Kelley Blue Book value" of my car... nearly six thousand dollars less than I paid them just weeks before. During my talks with the salesman I worked with (who seemed inconvenienced by my wanting to buy the car that day) I was told repeatedly that the Kelley Blue Book numbers I kept bringing up were really low and that they need to "keep the lights on" at the dealership. So basically, they oversold me on my first car so that they could make more profit and then had the audacity to send me repeated written offers for what they say the car is actually worth. Really disappointed that a dealership would treat a first time car buyer this way. You hear how bad car salesman/dealerships can be and I now understand why.

If I could give zero stars I would. I brought my truck in to have the frame replaced due to a recall and everything started going wrong after that. After weeks of bringing my truck in and complaining enough for them to "figure out" what was wrong without having to pay for what they had messed up. My alignment and suspension was messed up after which they blamed on my older suspension and tires. Also my 4-wheel drive worked before they replaced the frame and didn't after. They blamed it not working on me and never fixed it and only agreed to pay $150 of the $550 to fix it. I would never go back there for any service or to purchase a vehicle.
