Was looking all over New England for a specific make, model and color of car for my wife (Red MB SLK-350). They had it posted online and at a good price and in excellent condition. Drove all the way up from Cape Cod to see and purchase it. No pressure sales and the salesman (Chris Vegas) was a great help. One issue and one comment prevents me from giving them a 5. I could find nothing but bad reviews regarding the extended warranty they offered. But, having said that, there was absolutely no pressure to try and make us buy it. Also, the dealer failed to detail car as promised before we picked up. Not wanting to drive all the way back up from the Cape to get it done, they did promise, and followed through, to reimburse us for having it detailed locally. All in all I was very impressed with their operation, fair prices and non-pressure sales.

Also Great pricing and very quick from start to finish. There's no place better to get a great deal and have a selection of over 1000 cars and that's a conservative estimate!

Matt was awesome. I called early in the morning just to see if they could help, as my car was 12 years old and not in the greatest condition... the key itself was duct taped together. To add to that, my credit isn't perfect. By 12:30 pm, Matt had helped me pick out a car and I was on my way to test drive it and sign the papers. Tony went through all the papers to make sure I understood what I was signing, which most places don't do. I was in and out fairly quickly! I'm very impressed and would recommend giving them a call if you're looking!

Needed a new car for our family of 4, so we decided to give Key Auto a shot. Most of our transaction was handled by Matty Vigeant, and he was a ROCK STAR. Personally, I hate car shopping because it is always so stressful and frustrating. This past weekend my old car finally gave out, and I have never had to buy a new/pre-owned vehicle before, and I HATE being approached by sales associates and being pushed on a product, so the thought of going to look for a car was terrifying. My sister had purchased her Jeep here a month or so ago, and had advised me to stop in when I told her I desperately needed a new car. I went to three or four other places first before going to Key Auto and was surprisingly underwhelmed, the associates were either unfriendly or minimally helpful, and at one place no one even came outside after 10 minutes of looking around. When I got to Key Auto, my friends and I were warmly and openly greeted by Aaron, a sales associate who seriously embodies the ideal car buying experience and defies all sleazy car salesman stereotypes. Instead of trying to sell me the most expensive car on the lot, I was asked what I could afford and what I was looking for, something that I was definitely not expecting! After taking into account what I could afford and what I needed in a car, Aaron set me up in a few vehicles he thought would best suit my needs, and after each test drive asked me, "Did you like the car, or did you LOVE it? I want to make sure you leave with a car you love." Aaron made me feel that I could be honest and at no time did I feel like I had to make a commitment to anything that he showed me, he was actively listening to my questions and concerns, and I know without a doubt that he wanted to get me into a car that I would love and would not have trouble paying for. After finding 'the one', the general manager gave me an unbelievably high rebate on the old car that I was trading in, and presented me with a financing plan that was far below what I was expecting to pay (Yah!). Aaron and the general manager went above and beyond to explain everything to me and make sure I got the best deal possible, and they helped turn a huge headache into a pleasant and exciting experience. While time has taken a toll on the physical property itself, (not that appearance is paramount, and the general manager did tell us about his plans to renovate) the quality of the associates inside and the product they are selling is refreshing and a breath of fresh air in a time when customer service falls to the wayside. Aaron was super friendly, a true delight to work with, and without a doubt had my best interest in mind. If you need a car and aren't looking to be ignored, steamrolled, or strong-armed into buying, definitely pay Key Auto a visit, and if he's there, ask for Aaron and I know he will take care of you! :)

I went into the much dreaded experience that is purchasing a car, kind of skeptical that I'd actually be able to find something that works for me. Matty made the whole experience far less dreadful and a whole lot easier than I had anticipated. Going in, I knew my options were limited due to my credit rating, but he made it his priority to go above and beyond and did whatever he could to get me into a car that far exceeded my expectations, despite a major setback in the beginning that no one could have seen coming. Not once did I feel pressured into making a purchase that I was not 100% comfortable with. Not only was he professional, charismatic and personable, but he also somehow managed to keep my 8 year old daughter entertained for the 4 hours we were at the dealership. 5 stars for Matty. As long as he's selling cars, I'll be buying cars from him.

At first I was like "yea right" so I gave them a call and Matty answered, listened CAREFULLY to what MY needs were and suggested what would be my best option. I went to a few different dealerships before I found Portsmouth Key Auto's Matt Vigeant. Not only was he knowledgeable about what I was looking for but he taught me a few things about buying a car as well. I never imagined I could get a 2014 Kia Rio with only 38,000.00 miles in next to mint condition. I was driving a 98 Nissan Sentra in poor condition that had a habit of breaking. I walked in an in about two hours or less I was driving off with my brand new Kia Rio and saying good bye to my old unreliable junker. Matt did all the work for me, finding me many different cars to choose from, listening to my concerns and resolving them. When I did pick the Kia he went to bat for me with the bank and got me a great rate on my loan and even helped me get set up with the insurance I would need as well. This was truly a one stop shop, and at the best price around anywhere in the seacoast if you ask me! He was patient and walked me through every step with ease. That patience extends as well because he is also kid friendly, as a parent that is always a plus. Sometimes we have to bring our children along for the boring adult stuff, but at Portsmouth Key Auto with Matt Vigeant its almost like a visit to an amusement park for the kids. This makes the paper work so much easier to accomplish.

Great experience! I love my new Acura! Thank you everyone at Key Auto! I had shopped at 5 other dealers prior to coming here and all of them were very high pressure and manipulative in order to try to make me commit then and there. Key Auto in Newington was the polar opposite...i told them what I wanted to accomplish and they found the car that fit my needs, rather than trying to push me into a car that they wanted to sell. They are sales "consultants" in the truest form. After landing on the vehicle i wanted to buy I did tell them I wanted to think it over...while every other dealer tried to strong-arm me, the guys at Key were very low pressure and said they understood that it was a major purchase and didn't blame me for wanting to make sure I was 100% comfortable before proceeding. What a breath of fresh air! At this point I was prepared for the high pressure close, but Blake the sales manager was great! He was very laid back and actually LISTENED to us! Poor service for a dealership. We were lied to about the crash history of our vehicle, we received a false carfax on the 2015 Tahoe we purchased from them back in March( after having the car detailed we noticed multiple runs in the paint, both the driver side and passenger side windows fell down that being said we had another dealership check out the vehicle used parts have been used through out the front end-they ran the vin and we were told it had been in multiple front and crashes) being the beginning of August (5 months)!!! we are still waiting to get this issue resolved... we are in contact with them multiple times weekely and we just keep getting the run around. I would highly recommend not buy a veichle from Portsmouth Chevy or any of there affiliate dealers- Kasey Watkins Maine

He informed me of the choices of different style Mercedes they had and other comparable vehicles. He also informed me of all my financing options. Peter Leonardi was the sales manager and got me a great rate and the terms I wanted. The sale included FREE inspection for life and Free 2 oil changes!!! I felt super comfortable with Gabriel during the process in buying and as well as the services when I came back to get my oil changed months later the service was still superb! So this guy is great, if you go to key auto of Portsmouth ask for Matty V he WILL get you. Into the car you want THAT DAY! I am a 19 y/o male with no credit established and not even my license only with my permit, and the car i wanted was a dark gray 2013 chevy cruze and guess what? I drove off the lot same day with that car, obviously with another licensed driver aha. Honestly wasn't expecting to get my first car today, just expecting to (matty v's words) kick tires. He's very down to earth, knows what he is talking about and the best salesman ever! He's not like your typical stuffed shirt salesman he truly cares and not just worrying about his paycheck. Shady dealership.Avoid at all costs and go somewhere else. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Went with my girlfriend to look at a 2013 Mazda CX-5 with 18,000 miles on it. Sounded like a great deal until we went to drive it. The car looked like it had been hit a few times. There were scratch marks all over the car, paint chipping, and the rear plastic scuffed to the point where it would need to be completely replaced. Took it for a test drive, and it became apparent that the front rotors/brake pads were poor. I don't think it would have passed NH state inspection without their service department looking the other way just to try and sell the vehicle. James, the salesperson was decent, however. We told him that we would be interested in the vehicle provided the cosmetic and mechanical issues were taken care of. After all, if your spending almost 19k on a vehicle, it should at least be inspectable and not look like someone took it off-roading. We were given the run around. The sales manager acted so surprised and mentioned that the service department should not have let the vehicle go to the lot and be ready for a sale with all of the issues. It was pretty obvious that they were full of BS and knew the issues and were just hoping some sucker was going to buy it without questioning it. We were told that the cost of repairs would probably be too much for them to manage and that they would be taking a loss on the vehicle if they had to sink a lot of money into it to bring it up to our standards. After more of a run around, we were told that they could hire an outside company to attend to the cosmetic issues AFTER we purchased the vehicle. No way were we spending almost 19k on a vehicle with the hopes that someone might fix the cosmetic damage to our liking. We went down the road to Seacoast Mazda and spent the same amount on a much better vehicle.
