I bought my first Subaru in May of 2012. I was so impressed with the quality of the Outback & the knowledge of my sales person Don Charrette. He explained things about the car in detail & answered all my questions in language I could understand. I was equally as impressed with the sales manager Mark Mallahan and the finance manager Jeff Broom. I never felt pressured & the atmosphere was professional & relaxed. The financing was explained in as much detail & I wasn't pressured to purchase anything I didn't feel I needed. I went back in April of this year to trade my Outback in for a 2013 Crosstrek. I wanted something a little smaller & fell in love with the Crosstrek. I was so comfortable with Don Charrette from my last experience that I saw him when I got there. I had some negative equity & they tried to talk me into waiting another year to build some equity but I knew what I wanted & I still lowered my car payment by $100 a month. I can't say enough what a great dealership this is and the service department is equally as pleasant & knowledgeable. I will be taking my business there for many years to come.

UPDATE: Belknap Subaru was able to remedy the situation and left me with a positive experience after my initial problem. They were also able to resolve it in a reasonable amount of time. I'd be happy to bring my services back to them and would recommend them to others. Original Post: Horrendous service at this dealership. I have personally had a bad experience here where I will never buy a car from this dealership again and possibly Subaru. They have a lack of communication between there sales and services which is leading me to give them a negative review where I was told one thing over the phone twice and another when I got here. They have essentially lost my service for life over about $100 where they refused to honor what they told me.

So we were driving up 93 for a nice getaway, towing a trailer, with a planned stop in Tilton. As we approached the exit, all the warning indicators lit up on the dashboard. The first place we saw was Belknap Subaru. We pulled in there, explained our situation and they fixed us right up. We were back on the way up North within an hour. We were not customers, we were not in a Subaru, and we had no appointment. Amazing customer service. We are so grateful, and as we consider our next car purchase, we will keep you all in mind. I have not had similar success with our local dealers. Thanks again for a great job and for not only keeping us from being stranded, but for going the extra mile to get us back on the road quickly. We are very grateful.

I can't say enough positive things about this place! The service department is the best and they are so helpful. They dont try to upsell you on service or parts that you don't need, and they are always willing to go the extra mile. I drive an hour from home instead of opting for places closer to me (tried a few and in the end it was not worth it). Been coming to this dealer for over 3 years and I won't trust anyone else with my Subaru Forester!

Worst customer service experience with upper management in my career. I do not normally say this (and typically hate people that do) but I work in customer service as a General Manager of a resort in Lincoln, NH and this is by far my worst experience. I have never treated customers the way we were treated by Scott, the manager "addressing" our concerns. We bought a used vehicle in the hopes it would last us a bit before we bought a new vehicle. Could we have afforded the new vehicle? Yes, but we were trying to be financially pragmatic. Hindsight being 20/20, we would have just bought a new vehicle to have avoided purchasing a vehicle from a company that repairs their used vehicles to the bare minimum standard in order to pass state inspection. This allows them to profit as highly as possible without keeping integrity in mind. Our experience has officially deterred us from buying another Subaru (of which I am very disappointed because this was my third Subaru purchase). I am sorry to hear that Subaru allows this dealership to continue operating in its current manner.

I think my car was repaired properly but they tried to collect money from me for insurance repairs. They told me insurance would not cover some parts and added those charges to my bill. That was dishonest. I will not go to belknap again..

The first was from Don Clough at their old locating and the last three from the beautiful new Tilton location. Don is now Sales Manager, he and salesman Nate Barnett got us a great deal on our most recent purchase. Don, Nate and all the staff, including the guy who takes your money and makes you sign a hundred times (it seems like), Jeff Broom, actually make it a fun experience. Extremely expensive. Did not catch a serpentine belt that was well past recommended mileage change, during a paid voluntary inspection, when a local mechanic did catch it while doing a simple oil change. Update: Car still ran poor after bringing here 3 times. Went to another Subaru dealer and found out the car needed a new oil solenoid. I even told this dealer the OBD2 code and they still didn't fix it...

It's unfortunate that a big name like Subaru and the only one in the area can be so unorganized. I was never contacted by a sales person throughout the 15 minutes I tried to make out what was used and what was new. You can't tell which section is actual inventory or which ones are customer vehicles because nothing seems to be tagged either. New vehicles are spread throughout the lot and you can't them out what is what. Worst of all was the fact that at least 2 sales people were standing at the door way to the entrance of the show room just staring outside and not contacting any customers. Not to mention I was the only customer around since it was a very slow time during my visit in the late morning. I guess Subaru doesn't want my business even though I was ready I drive a vehicle out this very morning. *Update 6 months later: So I decided to give this dealership another chance. Would you know it? Same exact results. I will grant that the lot is organized now to the point where you can easily get around. Yet service for the customers not there at all. This time I gave them at least 30 minutes before calling it quits. I shopped the new inventory and even some used vehicles. There were even 2 other sets of customers walking the lot. Yet, like before, no one showed up to greet or attend to any of us. It's like we don't even exist. This time the only working person was the gentleman cleaning the building with a water pressure hose. Nothing else. These folks don't want my money and that is perfectly fine with me as I will take my business elsewhere. I would not recommend even giving this place a first look at all, not even online. Invest in a dealership who cares about their customers and wants your business.

They suck I am 19 years old and have nothing on credit never had a loan and I had a co singed with good credit and they could not get me a loan for 12,000 for a jeep but at auto sever they can get me into a brand new 40,000$ jeep but I don't want that high of payment don't go hear waist of time

The manager insisted we had been warned that we needed new tires. Neither my husband or myself remember being told that at our last visit. We were not expecting to pay out $800.00 at that time. Two years ago I brought my Tribeca into Belknap Subaru for recall work. When I got it back from them they told me "both front inner axles boots starting to leak needs new axles with boots $1365.95". Well 3 safety inspections, five different mechanics in two countries (one mechanic at a Subaru dealership in the other country) and NONE of them found this problem. Go figure. ALWAYS get a non-dealership mechanic to check Belknap Subaru's 'problem found report! They did good work on the recall job.

I began taking my '07 Outback here for service a few months ago. They've been very helpful and professional. Each repair will have its unique challenges, so my experience won't mirror anybody else's, but I've been very happy with the repair time, the careful explanation of what I'm paying for when I've asked, and, most importantly, the quality of the repair. I love my car, and here, I trust it's in good hands. They even have a nice little kids' area, so it's easier to entertain my 2 y/o while I'm waiting.
