I broke down on the highway 55 miles from home. I had to have my Cadillac towed to Modern Auto in Washington. David Edler was my service supervisor. He did a great job in keeping me informed of the progress fixing my car. I do not see this type of follow up from the Saint Louis Cadillac dealership I generally go to. This dealership has been a part of Washington for many, many years. They have a full service shop (oil change,tire rotation,fluid checks,brakes etc) and a loaner car may be available if your car needs a day or two for completing services. They have new and used vehicles.

After buying our Chevy HHR from another dealership the cars key got stuck in the on position and would not shut off. We called Modern Auto right when they was closing for the day and they was quick to say "no problem we will stay open late for you" and the did stay open for over a hour waiting for me to arrive. They fixed my Chevy HHR and found out that it was a Chevy recall and there was no cost for the fix. Thank you Dan & Modern Auto for being honest and customer driven. I will only buy my cars form Modern Auto from this day forward.

The service department stands behind there work and they tell you that you need things you don't. Body shop is top notch as well! I am mostly skeptical when taking my car in to have service work done. I feel confident and trust the people at Modern Auto. If something doesn't need to be done they will be honest and tell you. I took my car in on 5/20/2016 they did some work, I took it on a long trip and noticed something just wasn't right. I called them when I returned from my trip and they said bring it in. They fixed the problem. I really do recommend modern auto service department for and make of car. I have even taken my Dodge Journey in as I don't trust the service department from where I bought it which is right down the road.

I have felt nothing but taken advantage of when dealing with the Service department. They have broken things on my car in an attempt to fix something else. When it was under warranty they constantly acted like they could not reproduce the issues that I had. They have claimed to have fixed things that I found after pulling away were not fixed at all. I wonder if this all would have happened if I weren't a young woman...I have learned my lesson and will never take my car there again.

They have worked through their lunch hours and stayed late on Fridays to make sure our vehicle was safe to drive, whether it was across town and cross country. I hear so many negative stories about car dealerships and their salesmen, but my experience with Modern Auto was completely the opposite. I couldn't have picked a better place to go. Doug was so nice, helpful and able to answer any and all questions. He was not pushy at all. He gave us plenty of time and space, while trying to make a decision. He was helpful in every way. Matt (w/financial) was also great to work with and helped me get my payments where I needed them to be. I highly recommend going to Modern Auto if you're looking to buy a new (or new used) car!
