I've had a few bad experiences with Kia of Columbia when it comes to purchasing a vehicle, specifically with one of their sales managers. So while I purchased my vehicle elsewhere, I've had nothing but good experiences with their service department. Cole Moore has been my service advisor most times I've brought my vehicle in. While I havent had anything other than routine maintenance or recall work done, he has been knowledgeable, trustworthy, and professional every time I bring my vehicle in. The service staff have really restored my faith in this dealership.

I bought a car from here 2 months ago. First off they messed up on my paperwork and no one bothered to call me about it when I didn't received my title I called them and they told me they messed up so I had to drive back to Columbia to sign some paperwork. At that point I thought they would have my title, but nope they didn't so I had to wait to receive that in the mail, which didn't come until the weekend so I was 6 days late licensing my car and had to pay a fee which they said they would take care of I have not seen any money from that as of yet. It's not about the money, its about the lack of customer service! I also bought my car with a scratch and dent on one of the back doors, it was put in writing that they would fix the issues. It has been 2 months now and I still have not gotten anything fixed. I have called multiple times and have even been in there and no one seems to care about customer service! I will never purchase another vehicle from here! Don't get me wrong I love my car, but the service I have gotten has been AWFUL!!!!!!

She was genuine, knowledgeable, and professional. She told us right off that their computers were down and cheerfully said we would check in the "old fashioned" way. That was a warm welcome and we appreciate that. We do not know the name of the mechanic; however he did an excellent timely job. Since their computers were down, Jennifer took our payment information and assured us she would destroy it when she finished u sing it and would mail us the receipt. The paperwork arrived the next day..

Purchased a used sports utility vehicle here a few weeks back and noticed that it was shifting funny. Service department diagnosed that the transmission had gone bad. Talked to sales manager about trading out for a functioning vehicle, instead of good customer service, was greeted with mind games and hostility. No requests were met, never returning. Avoid at all costs!

I bought a 2017 Kia Soul from this dealership last year. I was totally satisfied: Friendly, professional people, and a good price. Since then we've been using Kia Columbia for all the service work for my Soul and for my wife's 2013 Sedona. We always get in and out quickly, with great service. Mike Velasquez was exceptionally helpful for our last service visit. We had an oil leak in my wife's Sedona, which we were planning to drive to Florida the next day. Mike couldn't get the parts needed in time, but he offered to do the work while we were gone and to start the car every few days to keep the battery charged. He also went to the extra effort to verify the extended warranty I had bought from another dealer, getting it applied to this work, and saving me several hundred dollars. Great job, Mike!

I had so many problems with Kia of Columbia that I would have returned my car if I could have. My interest rate was 23.5% (which they neglected to tell me), because I had no credit. I work at a bank. Even with no credit this interest rate is completely inappropriate. Kia of Columbia knowingly gave me a tire with a slow leak. I gave them a check for my down payment, and they didn’t cash it until a month after they were supposed to. They blamed all of this on me and were very rude when they were the ones that LOST THE CHECK. After it was cashed they called and tried to claim that it bounced. Again, I work at a bank so I had access to see exactly when and where they deposited it. Kia of Columbia was also supposed to pick up my trade in by a certain date. They neglected to do this, causing me to receive a ticket for $150. I had to have my older brother call and yell at them for them to do anything because apparently they don’t listen to women. I went to go get my car registered and realized they didn’t have my title ready, even though they are legally required to after 10 days (it had been 20). Several problems later, the general manager said he would help me by looking at my tires for free. He told me to let him know I was on my way with a text message... to which he never replied. I would highly recommend going anywhere but Kia of Columbia unless you want months and months of headaches.

Thanks to Pat Darby and everyone at KIA of Columbia. I actually had fun buying my car. I came with a list of what I wanted in a car and they showed me cars that fit my list. They did not try to sell me something I didn't want. In fact, they had exactly what I wanted even though it was not what I found online. The dealership was comfortable, the coffee was good and so were the snacks. Even though my husband was with me, he directed responses to me after we told him this was my car. That has not been the case at other dealerships. I got a great car with great terms. You should shop here.

This is me and my fiances opinion this is the worse place to get a vehicle from. We went back to kia of columbia to get our truck back after 14 days and one of the salesman named Jermaine said sorry your truck has been crushed after 2 days. But in one of the contracts it said they would hold it for 30 days but they did not. And they also lied to us about the fianance company said the interest rate was 4.75% but the actual interest rate we had on the car we got from their was 20.47%. They were very rude. And disrespectful. We tried to get every piece of paper we signed that day but they still wont give it to us. The fiance guy Terrance was also very rude.

Team was super friendly and informed me my oil leak was related to a warranty/recall so fixed the vehicle at no charge, other than cost of an oil change. Even updated my car computer. Ben Webb in the Service Department is without question the most superior customer service professional I've ever encountered. He is accessible, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I've been fortunate to work with him a number of times on a number of issues, and there is nobody better that I've ever come across. The techs in the service department and the service department itself are also great. The work is solid, they stand by all warranties they offer. They give you accurate cost estimates, and they contact you before doing anything that would change the cost estimate. The documentation is good, and their Parts guys are polite and helpful. They also offer a nice, well-stocked waiting room as well as a ride service, both of which are great. Would absolutely recommend.

I had one if the best car buying experience I have ever had. I had very specific details I wanted in my pre owned car. Joey my sales guys took everything i said very seriously and work very hard to find the right vehicle that fit my every need. It took several weeks of looking. The pre owned kia I bought was changed just to fit my expectations, I was expecting a price tag to go along with it but I was WRONG. I ended up getting a better deal then I ever expected. Initially, I was very happy purchasing a car from Kia. Now, I wish I hadn't. Before buying the car, the salesman assured me that because I spend a lot of time traveling to places I don't have access to nitrogen if my tires are low that it wouldn't be a problem to switch my tires from nitrogen to oxygen. I absolutely did not want nitrogen in my tires. When we went to sign the paperwork, he told me that it wasn't listed as a service because he'd already had them replace the nitrogen with air. Come to find out, he didn't. It is still nitrogen. My tires are low. I called to find out how much it would cost to top off the tires. The service tech I spoke with informed me it's $30/tire. After calling several other places, I was informed that the only places to have nitrogen added to tires in the Columbia area are dealerships. This is exactly why I wanted air. So, not only did they not deliver on replacing the nitrogen, they are now going to overcharge me to continue using nitrogen. Can't really do much about it since the salesman quit shortly after we bought the car. Looks like I will be paying a ridiculous amount of money to have the tires purged and refilled somewhere else. We're currently looking to lease or buy a second car for my husband. I can guarantee that we will not be going through Kia. I don't give large amounts of money to businesses that make a point of taking advantage of their customers

My husband and I recently purchased a vehicle from Novy Foland at Kia of Columbia. We purchased a used vehicle that was perfect during our test drive but as soon as we got home it started making a squeaking/squealing sound. When I was sent the link to review the dealership on a different review site, I was ecstatic. Now, here I am almost 3 weeks in & I'm getting told they're basically charging me for them to take my trade in! So I'm paying the price of a brand new car because my old one isn't worth anything? It was my first time doing all of this on my own & absolutely nothing was explained me. Yes, I should have paid closer attention, but I really thought they were actually genuine people. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I didn't have a man standing at my side making negotiations & I have poor credit (they must not have realized I already knew this). I think next time I will take my business elsewhere. Have family that has bad credit, but they're interest rate isn't near as high as mine. If I get a better answer as to why $5,000 was added to the price of what I was told it was going to be & why I was charged for temp tags I never received, I may change my review, but as of now, this stands! Should have gone to Joe Machens like I had planned on in the first place.

My daughter bought a used Kia Soul a few weeks ago from a different dealership. Had an issue with it not starting. Original dealership did not fix the problem. The day before she was supposed to leave for college, the car didn’t start again. I called Kia of Columbia and explained the situation to Jeremy. He said they were busy, but if I could get it towed in, he would try to fit it in. I had it brought in and Cole diagnosed the problem and got it fixed by the end of the day. Great guys to work with. When I arrived for my free oil change (after purchasing my car 6 months before), I was informed by Cole that there had also been a recall on some of the safety equipment of my car and he asked if I wanted that taken care of also. Although I was reluctant because of the time I believed it would take, he persuaded me to have it done because it was a safety issue. Expecting it to take about twice as long as I expected, I was pleasantly surprised when it was completed in about the same amount of time I would I expected for the oil change.

I bought a kia forte and 2 weeks ago I took it In to check for problem I was experiencing, they had if for 5 hours and didn't even look at it. I rescheduled and i was charged $100 without the issue being found and gave me bad info about my transmission fluid.

We are a first time buyer and knew that dealerships are known for ripping people off, so we went in knowing to be weary. This dealership was very deceptive throughout the whole process. They upped the price of our vehicle to over $4,000 what it's worth on the current market, after telling us repeatedly that it was the upper $20,000 (which is a fair market value) They never gave us a verbal specific price of the car when we asked, just kept saying upper $20,000, so we knew we could afford that so we decided to buy. They applied for loans on our behalf without consulting us about prices and made our loan out to include all these extra dealership warranties and features that are completely optional (before even discussing if we wanted the extras). We were asked if we wanted any of these extras at the very beginning of the signing process and we clicked no and chose the basic package with everything free and included. You sign on an electronic screen that is blown up and cuts off half of the paper so you can only read where you are signing. The financier told us several times that he wanted us to rush through this so we could get on our way with the car. Since we had clicked no and already been told a fair price on the car we decided to trust and since we couldn't see parts of the screen because of the way it's set up we couldn't see prices or columns or read it. Because we decided to have some trust we didn't see that they had changed the price of the vehicle, added the extras we said no, and maxed out our loan so we couldn't afford the sales tax. They printed off the papers after signing and folded them up quickly and hurried us out the door. It wasn't till we received the title that we saw the price increase and then went back to see all the paperwork and how things had been changed from what we said. Since buying the car we have received two letters in the mail stating that they had denied our loan because it was overpriced. We have great credit but since our experience there our credit has dropped over 40+ points from over checking. We have also had to get a secondary loan to cover the cost of the sales tax, we decided to use the credit union they had sent us through and when we explained that they didn't a lot for sales tax the loan officer said that was very wrong and they should include it. When we went in to talk with the sales manager, he treated us very rude and told us if we don't understand things we shouldn't sign things. We are in our mid twenties and are first time buyers so he treated us like we were children. When I explained that these extra's weren't agreed on he said from the paperwork that it was since we signed. He also basically told us we shouldn't trust what people say and read the fine lines. Buyers be ware. Ask to sign a filled out paper copy, so there is no chance of things being added after the signing. The 'state of the art' technology is used to deceive you and fill things out under your nose. Also bring in your own financing and make them match to your price and don't let them determine it for you. We were also told that our car was bought at a great value and that when we trade in 2 year we will get a great price, but our loan was made out to 6 year (instead of the 3 we were originally told) so if we were to trade in, it would have to be in 5-6 years and by then the car will have lost most of it's value. Also make sure your car even qualifies for the extras they put on. Our car was over the weight limit and will be lifted so it wouldn't even fit into the warranty to be covered. This dealership does not have your best interest in mind and they shouldn't be trusted. It will be a fighting process to buy the car at a reasonable cost and get a loan that isn't over what it should be. If you do get screwed over you have 15-30 days (depending on the contract for the extras) to have them removed and a refund sent back to the loan. However they won't tell you this and you have to search deep in the contract to find it.

First encounter with this dealership, I had 10,000 dollars to simply buy a used car. But, no the pressure, fast talking, mind games when dealing with a couple of mental issues was too much to bare. So I end up with a lease on a Kia Soul, that I repeatedly told the salesman do not whatsoever want a lease nor do I want a new Kia Soul. They're ugly. The pressure and hustle continued until I broke down. Missed my important meds, hadn't eaten at all that day, confusion was overwhelming. Now I call Kia of Columbia to ask for a pay off amount which leads into the salesman wanting the Kia Soul back, and I wouldn't have to worry about the lease. I agreed to see what they have and find out the deal they will make. I'm disabled for one thing and what's said over the phone is different than what is said face to face. Not to mention harrassing you with calls every 2 to 4 minutes. I was maybe shown 3 cars if that. Took a Buick Encore with thin tread, brakes touchy, steering all over. My payments go from 150.00 about to 239.00 for used junk. I then ask if I can bring this back for Hyundai having had impression vehicles were in same price range. The Hyundai payment increases to 339.00 a month now. If you enjoy pressure, stress, and being ripped off, this is your dealership. Never again nor will I suggest this place to anyone else!

Someone outside of that location also contacted me to see that I was taken care of (I said no, and what I needed) and they never got back to me either.

Charlie - the sales manager was RUDE during my purchase of my 2018 Soul on 9/21/18, Tye - the finance manager was also RUDE to me, stating that not buying the extra warranty was not a smart move. Tye also told me my cost to plate my Soul would be around 200 bucks but cost me 1700 as the lease I came out of does not apply that way at the D.O.R, he should know this. I am a disabled senior on a fixed income & have dealt with this dealership for years. I will speak with the General Maager tomorrow when he calls me back on this we'll see what comes of that.

It said the vehicle i was looking at was one price with sun roof, dvd, rear camera, a warrenty and power rear seats and in actualality, it was $2000 more then their add, and had non of the options. I asked them to pick me up for a test drive, and after I did, I didn’t like the car as it has an alignment problem, so I was honest with them and told them that I don’t like it and I won’t proceed with the process. I asked them to drop me off back to my home as I don’t have vehicle and it was snowing that day so no Uber would reach there. They rejected my request of a drop off simply because I won’t go further on my purchase process! I don’t know how much reliable their service would be if someone purchases anything from them!

Beware of the fraud from this dealer! There is a fee from Trade and Finance Assistance:$2,000. There is not any policy to explain this fee. It looks like they give you a discount. No! It means they must earn this $2000. I will talk this to my friends in the Columbia.

If I could have put zero stars, I would have. Upon bringing our vehicle to the dealership numerous times, and having sensors replaced and then the radiator (for our NEW car overheating), they replaced the radiator with an aftermarket radiator, had it clamped together (not sure why they would do that), and the car continued to overheat! The car eventually blew the motor up (after taking it to them repeatedly after they replaced the radiator), and now because they used an aftermarket radiator, Kia will not honor the warranty!! We are stuck paying for a car that Kia improperly manufactured, and they improperly corrected.

I try not to rate any business online these days. the constant bombardment of requests is exhausting. Kia of Columbia didn't ask me to rate them, I had to because their service department is that good. Told by a "shade tree mechanic that my a/c was completed shot, I got a second opinion at kia of Columbia. Turns out it was a simple fix and I saved hundreds of dollars in unneeded repairs. A year or two ago, I came to the facility, and it wasn’t even half bad at first. The staff do lack responsibilities at times, but overall the interior of the facility was luxurious until I went into a few dead ends that weren’t being taken care of. A man called Michael was highly unexperienced and continued to stutter his words a lil until we actually got to the information. I’m very anxious to know how long Michael has been working in the dealership for, because as of now, I’m feeling a tiny bit unsatisfied. I’d try and ask the reception desk where the dealer was, and it would take around 20-30 minutes to receive an appearance by one of your receptionist of who I forgot the name of, but hopefully there is some data on that within the facilities knowledge. I’ve tried calling today due to issues with my sweetie and it’s sadly coming to its final stand. I’ve tried calling but the hold time is so LONGGGG....
