As expected of a dealership, you pay a premium. BUT, they allowed me to bring my own parts AND they didn't try to sell me on any "recommended maintenance" that some shops try to tack onto your bill. They were very understanding and negotiable, and I truly felt like I was talking to a friend when I explained my car issues. I didn't feel like they were dumbing it down for me at all.

I utilized the courtesy van to shuttle me to and from a meeting in Jefferson City. I live three hours from Jefferson City but choose to return to the dealership because of the excellent customer service I receive.

Terrible! After making an "appointment" and talking to 2 different people, a salesman and a manager, to say we would be there and we're coming from St Louis, right at the time we were there, they took someone else on a test drive with the car we went to see. They never checked to see if we were there, which we were, or tried to call us to make sure we were either not already there or were at least still coming. The timing was such that we waited for our sales person to meet us is as another sales person drive the car up. Then 2 other people got in for a test drive. We waited an hour to see if they decided to buy it or not. They did buy it and we had made the trip for nothing. They of course tried to sell us something else....I'm thinking bait and switch at that point. We wasted an entire Saturday and a tank of gas. What is the point of an appointment!!! We will never go back and would not recommend this dealer!

I purchased a pre-owned Honda Civic for my mother from this dealership in 2017. I drove approximately 3 hours to buy this particular car. When I purchased the car only one key was available on the day I was there. I was told the other key was possibly in the office upstairs or with the original owner, and that it would be shipped to me upon either A) the manager finding it or B) the original owner bringing it to the dealership. About 1 month with no updates so I call into the dealership to my salesperson Tracy Steffans. He doesn't answer so I leave him a message. No response after about a week so I continue calling and finally get him on the phone. He proceeds to tell me that they never found the key, and that I could buy one on eBay for about 20$. That was not our original agreement so I voiced my frustrations and he said they would take care of it. Weeks go buy, and I haven't received the key so I call and leave messages with responses now coming in about 3-4 days later each time. Not the best response time, but ok. It is now April 10th 2018 and I have just received the key. I called my local Honda dealer to setup an appointment to get it programmed only to find out that it's not an OEM Honda key, and my dealership won't touch it. (I guess JCH is trying to save money on cheap aftermarket products) I call into Jefferson City Honda today to find out what's going on and no surprise I can't get in touch with Tracy so I call back in and ask for a Manager. Was transferred twice, and each time it said the call cannot be completed as dialed. I called back twice and finally let Haley the receptionist know that whomever she is transferring me to it isn't working. She then asks what my name is, and what it's in regards to so I explain the situation, and she puts me on hold while she walks to explain to the manager. When she returns to the phone she explains that he is busy, and will call me back. I am not holding my breath. During this whole conversation Haley seams to be laughing. I explain to her that I don't believe this is a laughing matter, and she continues with chuckling. We will see if I ever get a return phone call, and if the dealer will make good on this.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!! THEY COMPLETELY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME BECAUSE I WAS A YOUNG FEMALE!!!!!!. I WOULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS IF THAT WAS POSSIBLE!!!! They lied to me repeatedly. I found a 2012 Kia Optima EX with 74,000 miles on it that was listed for $13,700, both online and at the dealership. The salesman told me there was no way I would be able to get financed through the bank for the car without putting money down, but that he would make it happen. I tried negotiating on the price with him for three days, but was unable to get them to come down at all in price. The salesman even had his wife contact me to pressure me to buy the car!!!!! What salesman does that?????? The salesman told me that he got the bank (Wells Fargo) to agree to finance me with no money down and so I went in to the dealership to sign the paperwork. When I got there, he then told me that the only way the bank would finance me was with $500 down and that I would have to pay a "Bank Fee"???? I told them I had never heard of a "Bank Fee" and the salesman and the finance manager both lied to me and told me that it was a standard practice. I was very hesitant, but they kept pressuring me to do it. They finally said I could put $250 down instead of $500 and I signed the deal. After I picked up the car, a representative from Wells Fargo contacted me to see how my experience was and to see if I had any questions. I asked them about this "Bank Fee" and she said THERE WAS NO SUCH THING!!!! I had been approved by the bank for $14,973.50, so the dealership added the additional amount on to the price of the car and changed the vehicle price on the paperwork to $15,117.00 to cheat me out of over $1500!!! Now I will have to pay interest on that over the course of the loan. And nobody at the dealership will take my calls or return my messages. Not the salesman, not the sales manager and not the general manager. They are owned by an investment group out of Texas, RFJ Auto Partners. Rick Ford is the owner. DO NOT BUY A THING FROM THESE CROOKS!!!!!

My wife and I recently purchased a used 2011 Honda Odyssey from Corwin Honda in Jefferson City. My first visit was just to inquire about their inventory and what our options would be for financing or leasing a new vehicle. When I arrived I was greeted by a sales associate named Jen Serfass who was very polite and eager to assist. She was not overly pushy or insistent like sales associates that I have dealt with in the past and she genuinely wanted to help make sure our purchasing decision was the best for our family. She helped me to consider whether a new or used vehicle would work the best within our budget, and when I left she even offered some good advice on how to secure the best interest rate from competing local banks. My wife and I spent some time comparing different models from almost every dealership in the state, and Jen followed up with me daily to discuss the vehicles that we were interested in. When I returned to the dealership a couple days later, the vehicle that I wanted to test drive was waiting for me, and since Jen was dealing with another customer a different sales associate went along with me on the test drive. He was also very professional and the experience felt more like taking a ride with a fellow acquaintance rather than someone who was trying to put my money in their pocket. When I returned from the test drive Jen was standing by to assist. Since my wife was not with me she allowed me to take the vehicle home so that she could be involved first hand in the decision to purchase. When I returned, Jen asked me what amount I felt comfortable financing, what payments I wanted to make, and what interest rate I thought I may qualify for. We came to a fair deal on my trade in, they met the interest rate that I wanted, and we came to an agreement on financing that kept my payments where I felt comfortable. I finalized the paperwork with a manager named Vic who explained all the details thoroughly, and I drove away satisfied with the purchase and the experience. I would recommend Corwin Honda and their staff to anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle.

Honda of Jefferson City has demonstrated to me that they lack quality service and honest business practice. This post is being made after having left messages with two managers (one via voicemail and in person one over the phone) with no reply to my concerns which are summarized below. We thought we would be happy with our used Honda we bought in fall of 2017. We were soon surprised with what would be the first of ongoing issues with our car and Honda of Jefferson City. Soon after taking it home the low tire pressure light came on and after checking and filling all of the tires it came on again days later. With the tire so recently demonstrating a slow leak we took it into the Honda dealership where they allegedly fixed it (we were told it was a bad seal on the wheel)...only it wasn't fixed. A miscommunication led to them "fixing" a tire that was not having problems. After fixing the working tire that one developed a slow leak as well. We then had two leaking tires. After bringing the car in again to have both fixed they noted that they found other maintenance that should have been done before we bought it and supposedly they fixed that free to charge, which was appreciated (assuming what we were told was true). However, our car came back still with one leaky tire. With busy lives a frustrated by the situation, we chose to put air in the tire every two weeks rather than it sit in their shop for half a day with no apparent result. Between then and the next scheduled maintenance we discovered more little items that should have been tended to before the vehicle was sold, but were easy for me to fix myself. When we used our free oil change and tire rotation (included with our purchase) we were surprised to find that the tire with the slow leak remained in the same location as it was in before the tire was rotated. We recently brought our car in to offer the dealership one more opportunity to make things right. The service clerk noted the tires were cupping and needed to be rotated. When I informed him that was because they were not rotated the last time (as evidenced by the leaky tire that did not move positions) he told me that sometimes they will leave one tire in place when they rotate the tires if the mechanic thinks they should. He also said they found something in the tire causing the slow leak and were able to fix it (presumably what was causing the leak all along). Despite relaying this concern to the service clerk we were charged for all maintenance. This including the tire repair missed repeatedly before and tire rotation that was not previously performed like we were told (unless you believe the story that they don’t necessarily rotate “all” of the tires during a tire rotation). The combination of incapable (perhaps dishonest?) staff and unsympathetic and unresponsive management means I will not be doing business with Honda of Jefferson City in the future.

Bubba selling you his cousin's tractor behind the local farmers market is a better deal.

Got a great deal, but my wife feels like they slipped a $2,600 extended warranty in at closing even though she said she didn't want one. Luckily MO law gives you 30 days to get a full refund and you can get a prorated refund after that. HIGHLY recommend calling Columbia Honda to see if you can pit the two dealerships against each other and see who will give you the lowest price.

Until now, my process for buying a new car was to go to at least three dealers and haggle, get up to walk out the door, then wait for them to speak to their manager...etc. This time I decided to try something different. Towards late Sept 2019 I decided I wanted a Honda CRV. I wrote the same email to at least six dealers, basically saying it is end of month, end of quarter and end of car year. Give your best price. Most dealers seem unable to really do this. If you do not go through the above process, they will not give you a really good deal. Honda of Jefferson City gave me a price via email, below my "number". For no haggling, that was a great price for me. They delivered the car to me in KC area for no charge. All my questions pre and post delivery were promptly answered. So much easier than the old way.

When we parked in the Honda dealership and hopped out to look around at some used SUV's, we immediately saw a very friendly person nearby and asked if he could help us. That was the beginning of a rather unique experience in that past visits to car lots have proven most cars sales people are a bit anxious, or edgy you might say; but this gentleman named John was very cordial, friendly, and quite informative. Both my wife and I were pleased to seemingly have this sudden wealth of knowledge at our fingertips. John helped us learn & realize many important safety as well as performance considerations for SUV's and how the Honda CR-V compared and usually excelled. His professional style and courteous behavior impressed me greatly since I also work in the world of sales and marketing. I was very pleased with his thoroughness and style of closure when our visit was done, and for some reason deep inside I knew I would be back. Sure enough, several days later I visited again to learn more, see more, and compare more. Once again John left me with more information and better direction; I was making progress on my journey to find my wife the type of high quality and performance SUV she desired. This dealership has shady business practices. Had an appointment to see a vehicle here. When we arrived we met with a sales man and answered some questions. He then excused him self and said he would be right back. Another man comes and states due to the age of the car they would need to run a credit check .... Is is before we have even looked at the car I came to look at, didn't test drive the vehicle, didn't even know if I would want to purchase the vehicle .... I proceeded to excuse my self and take MY SELF to are the vehicle I came to see. On inspection of the vehicle it looked nothing like it did online, dings, dents and scratches all over it. Needless to say it seems this dealership will attempt to trap you into purchasing from them.

Absolutely horrible customer service skills at its best! I would never step foot in this place again. We purchased a used car and felt like we were not as important as someone purchasing a new car. Came back to pick up car on Monday because it needed a break "grinded" and the shop was closed on Saturday. Picked up the car, it was on EMPTY and not detailed like we were told was going to happen. Received calls from other banks offering me a loan however was told by Honda dealership loan was already approved. FOUR weeks later still nothing from the bank we were told the loan was going through. So I called to get things moving. The dealership never sent in their paperwork! We never haggled with the price but feel very ripped off with service we received. The sales guy only wanted referrals, he will get nothing but bad referrals from this household!

This was first time for me visiting this dealership. I went there for a recall on passenger side air bag on my Accord. Kent Hager was my Service Advisor. He was very professional and knowledgeable and took care of everything! The waiting area was very nice, too. I would definitely go back to this dealership again!

This rating is for the parts department. I drove an hour 1 way to pick up a part, got it back and found out they gave me the wrong part. When we called them, their only reply: "Oh, sorry". When I got back to exchange for the correct part, I was told they didn't have the right part in stock (we had called to confirm that they had it). They eventually found the part, but the whole ordeal was ridiculous! The guy I dealt with was nice enough, but maybe he's better suited for a job at McDonald's or something where product knowledge isn't so important. I wasted 2 hours today, plus all that gas.

Salesman Kurt Lofton did a nice job of keeping us informed and he was easy to negotiate with. No surprises after the 2.5 hour drive from our town with a Honda dealer that simply won't budge on price. Only hiccup was with the business manager that processed our sale. He failed to include several pieces of paperwork needed for licensing, which required contacting the dealership and having the documents FedEx'ed to us.

We purchased a used vehicle from them in June. It was an unpleasant buying experience and horrible customer service afterward. After 45 days of owning the vehicle the engine started acting up. Honda treated us like they were doing us a favor having it repaired (under warranty) and loaning us a vehicle until it was fixed. Buying a car at Jefferson City Honda was the best experience with buying a car that I have ever had. I bought my daughter a new CRV in 2018 and my wife liked it so well that we bought her a CRV in 2019. I live 2 hours away from Jefferson City in the Springfield, MO area. There are 3 other Honda dealerships closer to me than Jefferson City but Jefferson City Honda gave me a better deal than all of the closer dealerships. I saved around $500 per vehicle by going to Jefferson City. My Salesman was Eddie Brown both times. Eddie is the best and most courteous salesman you will ever meet. Eddie took the time to make me comfortable with my purchase and he is just a great guy to work with. It was well worth the 2 hour drive to go to Jefferson City.

We've had an interesting experience with Corwin Honda. January 1, we decided to look for a third car, as our son is soon going to college. We did some on-line shopping and ended up at Corwin. We soon picked a 2009 Chevy Aveo that was a trade-in. Unfortunately, almost immediately we had problems. Every once in a while, it wouldn't start. We took it back to their service department and they sent it to a Chevy dealer and thought it was one thing. The second time we took it in they took it to a second Chevy dealer who reset the computer. The very next day it wouldn't start. That time Corwin gave us a very nice loaner (a much more expensive car than the one we bought), while they sent it once again to the Chevy dealer. A week and a half later we decided that even if they fixed it, we wouldn't want it. They were very easy to work with, gave us the full price as trade-in on the new car. Jen, the salesperson, spent a couple hours with us showing us several different cars and really, everyone there couldn't have been more helpful. Of course, it's only Feb. 9 and we've just gotten home with the new car, but we've been very pleased with how well they worked with us. The car may have been under extended warranty, but they could very well have simply told us to take it to the Chevy dealer and have the problem fixed ourselves. But they did their best to make us happy. That's terrific customer service in my book.

This appears to be a classic five point rating scale....however, without "values" attached to each star. How is one to know the difference between each star? I cannot accurately rate the service because these "stars" aren't measurable. If 5 means everything was absolutely perfect: no human could achieve such! Now, I see I'm being "FORCED" to select a number of stars. Since this isn't measurable and I certainly don't want staff measured/punished for something not defined. I'll pretend God serviced my vehicle. I blinked my eyes and my Honda was serviced in 5 minutes at a price NO other center can offer...$1.00. I've been coming to Jefferson City Honda since it was Lee Thornton........please tell me how this survey assesses ANYTHING? If so, what and how did you arrive at such from the ambiguity of this "assessment". In conclusion, this is probably another survey where comments are never seen by the actual dealership visited. Maybe, a summarization of "similar" results is sent to Corporate office which resides in the clouds with their $100,000.00k + salaries.....and God forbid; employees evaluated by this....THIS! One other question.....why on the day I visited such a "smart" dealership men were patching the concrete pavement with asphalt? I'm certain I don't understand the complete rationale....however, It will never stay!

Just purchased our second vehicle from Corwin Honda a few days ago. I can say that the service and sale was second to none. Prior to Corwin taking over this dealership, if we were in the market for a Honda or Nissan we took our business out of town. Things have changed for sure. Corwin and our salesman Nicholas Khan have earned our business for any new purchases in the future. Nicholas made the sales process a no hassle, up front deal. He gave us a fair offer up front, explained all the details of the car, and ended up selling us a different car than we had originally went to buy (one that saved us a lot of money which goes to show customer satisfaction not bottom dollar was his top priority.) He changed our plates in the pouring down rain (all with a smile), and even came in on his day off to follow up to see how things were going with the new car. Ty in the business office was also so easy to work with. Again, no nonsense easy car purchase. We have purchased a lot of cars and this was by far one of the easiest and we will be visiting them again I am sure in the near future and hope to be able to work with Nicholas and Ty. When I called to get an appointment a young female receptionist set me up. Not in a good way. I asked about the "30 minute oil change" and how much it would cost for my vehicle, "$39.99" she said. I asked twice to confirm if that was for synthetic and she said yes. I got there at 11, I waited an hour before I had to leave, and at that point I was late for work. I had to use their shuttle with the grumpy old driver, and didn't get a call back until almost 2pm saying it was done. I got a ride on my own account, only to find that the oil service was actually $112. Thanks!

Many people have told me to avoid taking my car to a dealership because they charge more, but after learning my lesson at a "cheaper" mechanic, I took my Honda Civic here to be worked on. I don't feel that I paid more here than I would have anywhere else, and they even replaced a part for free because it had been recalled by Honda. They also adjusted my hood latch free of charge as well. I was treated like I mattered and they had my car done the same day. They called me discuss the repairs and costs before proceeding with anything. The actual bill ended up being less than the original quote, even though they did extra work. I feel confident driving my car now and would recommend them to anyone who needs work done.

When you are willing to make a 1,000+ mile round trip, you expect customer service. We certainly got that and more from Kurt Lofton. Most importantly, Kurt was a gentleman. We bought a brand new Honda Pilot in 2013. We always had it serviced at Corwin. Tire rotations, oil changes, any service they recommended. At about 56,000 miles we had a cylinder leak and cause damage to the lower block of the engine. Since it was under warranty Honda covered the replacement of the lower block. Corwin did not inform us that this issue was part of a class action law suit. Corwin suggested some other replacements be done at the same time. We made all the repairs they recommended. We have had similar problems with the same cylinder numerous times. At 96,000 miles we just replaced the head gasket over the same cylinder. Corwin will not take any responsibility for the numerous issues we have had with the second cylinder. This was our first Honda purchase. We were expecting a lot more out of this car. But we have been proven wrong. We will never buy another Honda or anything else from Corwin. We even contacted Corwin after this last incident of the blown head gasket to see if they would work with us on the over $3200 cost of the repairs but they would not! Very dissappointed in Corwin and Honda. Oh ya, and I gave them poor marks on their survey and NEVER heard a word from them.

Worst experience I've ever had buying a car. First, they won't tell you the prices of the vehicles. Second, they won't show you older vehicles in your cash price range. Third, once you settle on a car, they push this extended warranty nonsense on you. You give them a maximum on your payment, and they try to bump it up. I told them my payment max was $130, then they are trying to get it up to $200/mo. I'm sure we could get a better finance rate elsewhere. They wanted us to take possession of the car immediately but they have to fix the radio. I told them they would not get a check from me until the radio was fixed. Friendly staff, but high pressure. They also take hours to do your paperwork.

I live in colorado and found one of this dealerships vehicles online for sale (Hummer H3T) I talked to the salesperson and and worked out the details and flew to MO October 25th, 2017. The vehicle was advertised as excellent condition and I asked them to double check everything before I got there as I didn't want any issues since I would be driving the vehicle back to Colorado. When I got there I opened the hood and could smell antifreeze, looked at the dex-cool tank and its empty. Asked the salesperson he said it was fine nothing was wrong. Took it on the test drive and the radiator blew.. Had to wait overnight for them to replace the radiator so we could leave the next day. Made it 100 milles before breaking down in Odessa, MO because the dealerships mechanic didn't properly seat a transmission line on the truck, lost 4 qts of transmission fluid. Had to stay another night in MO and the only place to stay was a literal roach motel. Next day got the line re-attached at the local Philips 66 and I was on the road again only to find out that my transmission was slipping and had been ruined. This dealership did pay to have my transmission replaced but they refused to provide transportation and left me stranded for 2 weeks while my vehicle was being fixed. Then they delayed payment to the dealership in Colorado and I couldn't pick my vehicle up. I never got any apologies or calls from the service manager. I have only driven this vehicle for 4 days as of today and have had this vehicle for 1 month and 5 days. I am so appalled for the customer service and professionalism of this company. I called them today to try to rectify this whole thing instead of posting this because when I went to register my vehicle yesterday I was told sales tax was not paid and I had negotiated that into the asking price. Jeff City Honda basically told me to pound sand! Hey!

Found the car I wanted for my wife, but when I offered to put a deposit to hold until my wife could get there to finish up the deal, they told me they wouldn't hold it for 4 days. Even with $1000 cash deposit. So, I'm now seeing if the JC Nissan dealership can help me with that car since I am apparently not good enough to darken the Honda door. Since they're all under the same dealership umbrella, I'm not confident that the Nissan shop can help. If not, that's fine. The Columbia Honda salesman I spoke with was personable, friendly and willing. Would not recommend. In fact, I've already warned a couple of my friends off. Well, the Nissan dealership I was going to try to deal with, called the Honda dealership and lo and behold, I start getting calls from the Honda place asking why I wanted to work with Nissan and not them. Now, neither of these dealers will get my money. Good job, morons. UPDATE*** Ended up buying a newer, lower mileage vehicle, with the same features as the one JC Honda had, at Machens Honda. Go see Bill Shelton at Machens Honda, he'll do you right.

What started out as simply a free replacement of the passenger side airbag due to a recall, began with a thorough inspection of the vehicle, which turned up a couple of dirty filters, as well as a 'tired' battery. The service tech, Kent Hager, showed me vehicle fluid samples (brake, transmission, etc) and explained that they were okay for now. I was shown the dirty filters and the result of the battery tests, with the recommendation that they be replaced. A complimentary car wash and detailing was also part of the service, as well as a detailed, printed summary of the work performed on the vehicle. While in the customer lounge waiting for the work to be done on my vehicle, I observed the service techs sitting down with other customers, explaining what was being done to their vehicles, recommending other repairs or adjustments, and giving the customers an estimate of how long it was going to take. Well done, guys.

We bought a used Pilot here last fall. We happened to be there the day they got it, and we drove it before it had been cleaned up or serviced. The service department did a lot to it before we picked it up. We brought it in for an oil change and were treated like we had been buying new cars from there every year. They really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. It would have been the most I had ever spent on an oil change, but then they told us our first oil change was free. It was such a great experience that we will pay a little more to have it serviced here.
