He had a good knowledge of the 3 cars for which we'd narrowed our decision and was not "pushy" to sell us any of the vehicles. In fact, all of the people working at Columbia Honda with whom we had dealings were very helpful-- Dave, Cesar, and Bill. Dennis has also contacted us since purchasing our Pilot to follow up, and to answer any questions we had. Had a good experience in late June buying my new 2019 Honda Insight. The whole staff was friendly and professional. And the price of my trade-in was fair. The only suggestion I have is to make the buying process shorter. It took almost 3.5 hours to do all the paperwork and get out the door and on the road for our trip to Houston and then back to Washington state where we live.

The customer service in the service department is excellent!!!! However, sales, not so much. I have been standing on their show room floor looking around at cars for about 15 minutes and not one person has even asked to help me, despite several salespeople hurriedly rushing by me. They are not busy! I'm having my Accord serviced here today and it has high miles.....it won't last forever. I initially thought that I would purchase my new car here. But after today....Did I mention that I am a "prime" customer? I could walk out of here with a car in about 20 minutes. But much like they are treating me right now.....not so much. Just left my name and number for the Sales Manager. Let's see if he calls. ********UPDATE************************ Just spoke with the General Manager before I even got out the door with my repair. He aplologized for the lack of sales attention and answered all of my questions. NOW, I feel like I've received the Honda customer service to which I'm accustomed. I can change my rating to a "4 Star".

They absolutely saved the day for me! I blew out a tire on the way from KC to Columbia for the bar exam. I needed a new tire as well as some other little fixes before I could go home again. I made it there late in the day, and I was worried they’d have to keep the car overnight, and I’d have to spend another night in Columbia that I hadn’t planned for. But service advisor Ben was so kind, understanding, and helpful! And technician Terry fixed everything up quickly and beautifully and was even double checking to make sure I was ready to go when I came out to get my car. I made it home in great time after a stressful few days! I wish they were my local Honda dealership! I can’t recommend them highly enough!!!!!

After having several days worth of pushy, nagging and insulting salesmen from other dealerships I was absolutely relieved to finally be in a welcoming environment....that wasn't full of "vultures." I spoke with Ralph and test drove a couple of cars without being pressured to make a decision immediately. Once my husband and I decided on a civic we went in and "waited for the other foot to drop" per say....waiting to be pressured. NEVER HAPPENED! Going through the process of trading our vehicle was extremely easy. We were able to be taken care of by Ralph Hensley AND David Stringer so we didn't have to spend our entire day there....with two young sons (MUCH APPRECIATED!) The sales manager(s) as well as other employees all made a point to stop and just say hey as they saw us. Seriously, welcoming. I highly recommend stopping by Columbia Honda.... One of the major considerations we have when buying a new vehicle is the service department. We own two Hondas, a 2011 CR-V purchased before we moved to Columbia and our second new Pilot (both were purchased from Columbia Honda). While we thought we had good service from the dealership in Springfield, we now have great service in Columbia. The salesmen/saleswomen that we have dealt with have been great to work with. The service department gives a lot of care and attention to the vehicle each time we are in for service. They always do a thorough maintenance check and explain what needs to be done to keep the maintenance up to date as well as pointing out other issues that may need attention. For instance, on the last visit during routine service, they found a nail in one of my tires and fixed it. Of course I didn't know the nail was there and appreciated having it removed. It doesn't matter if you are just driving through to have the air in your tires checked or have some major issue, their attitude is always upbeat. I have never been disappointed with their service.

This dealer just makes business and doesnt help customer with issues. I bought a beand new accord EXL on october 30th 2018. I had to take to dealer for multiple issues(batter issues, oil chnage/tire pressure check light are on all the time on new vehicle). It has got just 2500miles on it. I am dealing with HondaUSA guys. even they are not helping much. I spent lot of money an dthis frustrating. I have to wakeup everyday and pray for smooth startup of my vehicle. I will never buy a HONDA product in my life.

This dealer wanted to charge me for leaking power steering fluid and faulty pump when I took it in for inspection. As I haven't noticed any recent leaks whatsoever from my car, I took it to 2 other mechanics for a different issue and asked that they check on the power steering. In both cases, they said there was no problems or leaks at all from the power steering. Nice try, Columbia Honda! I can only imagine how you cheat your car buying patrons. UPDATE: No attempts have been made by this company to contact me in any way, as they said they would, and the same generic "we will reach out" is also posted on other low reviews. Just another red flag to look out for for these scammers. Buyer beware!

They sweet talked us and talked so fast and about so many things that we missed little additives and we ended up doubling spending what we wanted. I am originally planning to buy a used Honda car. After I have the test-driven, we ended up buying nothing since I felt it is better to get a new one . The salesman seems to be disappointed. But when I tried to contact the salesman the other day. He was ignoring me. I sent him messages and manager an email & never got a response. This is probably the worst purchase experience I have ever had. I would rather choose another dealer. Updated- I changed my score since their manager has taken care of my case and resign a salesman Matt to me. Matt is polite, nice and knows the car well. Terrible finance dept.and middle management. Tried buy 40k plus truck cash. Talked me into trying there finance dept. Agreed in business name only not me personally and 2 banks max. Did not want a bunch of credit inquiries on my report. Already financed 2 trucks in the last 8 months. Warned them loan would probably gonna be tricky. Not a big deal I can afford to just pay cash. They said they completely understand. LIED and ran it 10 times with over 6 banks and when loan in my business name wasn't working out moved on to me personally with the banks. WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I was sitting 25 feet away for 2 hours. Never came out and asked me or explained anything. They just kept grinding the banks trying to get their unnecessary loan commission. Finally came out said business loan wasn't looking to great but good news we got it done in your name personally. I looked at him like are you kidding me. Very upset. They will smile to your face and say absolutely I completely understand and then do what ever is best for there commissions. This was all unnecessary. Blamed it on the manager. Said he did it personally. How did he even get involved or get my information. Just LIES. Did buy the truck CASH. Only because I was out of time and my business needed it. This whole process was just ridiculous and completely unnecessary. Went from a completely satisfied customer to one now filling complaints with several state and federal agencies which I do not have time for so I now have to pay my attorney to do. But Sooo worth the money.

Bought my wife’s car here, excellent service from Arthur. Took it for a 30k Miles service and was charged $25 in labour to change cabin and engine filter. It takes 5 minutes to do that, are you really paying your mechanics $25 for 5 minutes of work? I’m very disappointed. When they told me it was gonna cost $80, I never thought $25 out of it was labour. I thought it was expensive, but due to the quality of the filter. Anyway, never taking my car there for service again, unless they stop overcharging their own customers.

We took our car in for routine service this week. While there we looked at the cars on the showroom floor, as we always do to pass the time. Dennis Wood engaged us in conversation and pointed out the brand new Passport on the floor. We had some questions about it and Dennis provided great answers. Although we are not in the market for a new car yet, we will seek out Dennis when we are! The service we receive every time we take our car in was exceptional. We were greeted warmly when we arrived. When we were told our car was ready, we were also told that the car had been ready for a bit, but the service person saw us talking with Dennis and waited until we were through there. I immediately received a response from Matt and Jonathan. They were very straight forward. I inquired about a Honda Civic which they had in stock. I was greeted with a friendly response plus the bottom line quote. When I was ready to purchase they had everything setup and ready for me before coming into the dealership. KaRon even sent me a video of the car when I communicated that I was ready for purchase. Once I arrived at the dealer they did their best to get me in and out. No pressure with extended warranties or accessories. Only if your interested. I was amazed at their fast, friendly customer service oriented process. I can't think of any other place that made it this stress free. Definitely go here if you need a Honda!

First and foremost, KaRon the salesman was wonderful to work with. Super patient and helpful while working with a nervous first-time car buyer who wasn’t quite sure what I wanted. The dealership also was great, they worked with me on price and made sure I was able to get a second key for the car despite it not being traded in with one. Same with floor mats and fixing a minor issue with the car’s window. They also installed a new battery without having to be asked. Overall would happily do business with them again and recommend them to other used car buyers.

We wanted to get out of our Buy-Here-Pay-Here car loan with another place and get a better car. This place said we should just let them repo the car, give them $1000, and get a new car because those type of loans don't hurt or help your credit. I have news for you, any place that reports payments to your credit report like ours does WILL hurt or help your credit. #1 telling a customer to do that just to make a sale is unethical on so many levels and #2 they are thinking all buy here pay here places don't report to your credit. Even a quick google of this says: If you make timely payments on your Buy Here Pay Here car our loan , dealers will report that good credit activity to your credit reporting agencies. Big payments like car loan payments can improve your credit score quickly.

I had been looking for a 2018 accord in my hometown of Springfield Missouri. My dealer didn’t want to make any deals with me on my trade in so I decided to look elsewhere for business. It was a Sunday so I didn’t think I would hear back from anybody until Monday so I was very surprised. Today I attempted to purchase a car from David Stringer at Columbia Honda. I felt both saddened and alarmed by my experience. I was accused of engaging in illegal activity. This accusation alone should have been enough. I also felt that he was making assumptions that he would not have made had I been co-signing on the loan with a person of similar racial or ethnic background. I have co-signed on car loans before and NEVER felt that what I was doing was in some way inappropriate. My family has owned Hondas for many years and this was the best car buying experience I've ever had hands down. Really poor service. I called to put a hold on a vehicle. I was told that in order to secure vehicle, I had to put a $500 deposit down. Vehicle would be held for me until the following morning when I could come look at it. I was planning on driving from KC. I was told that no one else was there looking at vehicle. Salesman told me that deposits are only not accepted if there's someone in person wanting to purchase vehicle. I went ahead and put a hold on vehicle, gave the salesman my credit card information. I was told 45 min later that hold would not be accepted because there was a customer on their way in to look at vehicle. That person ended up buying vehicle. I'm so confused why a business would tell a customer they could hold vehicle and then sell the vehicle. I tried to call a manager during this experience, several times, but was told that they weren't available and would be transferred to their voicemail. Really frustrating. I was excited when I saw the wonderful reviews on this dealership but my experience was extremely disappointing.

I was in the market for a great used 4 wheel drive truck. As I was exploring ideas available on the dealer lots Danny from Columbia Honda approached to inquire what me needs and request were. I expressed in details my desires were importantly that I wasn’t going to get into the “Car Game of Negotiating on Price”. He requested I give them a couple weeks to find a fit for me. I received a call 2 weeks later to look at a truck they had located that matched my requests. I stopped by after hours with hesitation and after inspecting the truck on their lot I called my banker the next day for an honest value. The bank offered a competitive loan offer. I went back the next day to purchase the vehicle. The closing went smoothly and quickly. COLUMBIA Honda’s finance department also did the loan on site thru the bank saving time. They also offered me piece of mind an extended warranty that made a perfect it. The truck detailed out in time to hand me my new keys before the ink was dry. If you want an hassle free experience buying a new or used vehicle Columbia Honda and the professional staff is the place to go.

Just bought a 2014 Honda Odyssey from them last week. The inspection they gave me expired at the end of 2017. It is currently mid April 2018. I took it in to get a current inspection and they tried to charge me until I talked to a second person. Then they said I needed new rear brake pads so they charged me $250 to replace them even though they were needed before I bought the car and if they had done a current inspection they would have known that. Driving home from the dealership I noticed it pulls slightly to the left on the highway so I checked the front tires and it looks like it needs an alignment too which I'll have to pay for. They also clearly didn't even check the wipers during the inspection so that was another $25 because they were so streaky I had to replace them. These things should have been fixed before I bought it and now I'm going to have to pay for a second repair on a car I bought 1 1/2 weeks ago that came with these problems. They also "filled" up my tank for me when I bought it, but only halfway. I haven't even picked up the title to it yet. It would be 0 stars if that were an option. Update: Mike Miller the sales manager promptly called me after this review and is refunding my money for repairs and even offered to fill up my gas tank. I understand things happen and he handled it very well. Very satisfied with my purchase now and would recommend talking to sales, not service if there is a problem. That was my mistake.

I am very dissatisfied with Columbia Honda. The experience as a whole wasn’t good. The dealer was rude and knew nothing about the car he was selling. The vehicle has more wrong with it than they said. They obviously never ran it through the shop. There was a rodent nest on the motor under the plastic cover!! They refused to fix the fog light because it isn’t a “safety issue.” I contacted my sales person, Dennis about the car stalling all he said was to go to service. They don’t want to fix the issues I’ve presented them with, would rather mail a check. I’ve had the car for almost a month and still don’t have the title. If I could give them a negative review, I would. I should have gone somewhere else.

I was looking online and then Brandon from Honda called & messaged me. I told him what kind of vehicle I wanted and he acted like he was listening, then he called me again that evening and told me he had a 2015 Honda Civic that would be great for me. I reminded him I was looking for an SUV and that I don't like the Civic. Brandon had told me that morning he was sending someone to pick me up to test drive cars but when I got off work he texts and asks me if his financial director could call and before I could respond this Mike guys calls me and tells me the ONLY car they have that will match my finances is the 2015 Honda Civic! I asked if all of the other used cars they showed online were sold and he said "yes". I told him I was done and hung up the phone. I called the GM yesterday and left a message but I never received a call so I am left to assume that is an acceptable practice for their sales people! I have no idea what is wrong with the Civic they tried to shove down my throat but I would suggest never buying anything from these jerks! And now after wasting my time and making promises they hsd no intentions of keeping I am without a car on my daughters wedding day!! I wouldn't buy a newspaper from this place!

When you buy a used vehicle you accept certain terms that don’t apply as when new. When your vehicle has a problem on the drive home, you expect the dealer to address the problem in a reasonable manner. Not here! You buy it used, it’s yours; ask for a reasonable resolution to repair a known and notified problem immediately after buying, Not Here!
