Although time consuming, they were amazing so ridiculously friendly. I highly recommend this dealership as I never once felt pressured and the process was straightforward and simple. I called into Cable Dahmer Kia at 6 p.m. on a Friday night. They close at 7 p.m. I called because I was looking at a specific CPO car. I spoke with Kylie, who assured me that this car was in stock. She collected my contact information and we scheduled an appointment for 10 a.m., for the following morning. On Saturday morning I drive 40 minutes and arrive before 10. I am then told that the car is no longer in stock. So, it was apparently sold in 2 business hours, after I had called and inquired about the vehicle. This was extremely aggravating because they had my contact information and could have gave me a courtesy call, saving me an hour and 20 minutes round trip. The sales manager assured me that it was not a bait and switch. I will assure him that I will not shop at a Cable Dahmer dealership from this point on. I should have looked at all the other 1 star reviews. There are many others describing what happened to me and they all have a generic response that says, "we will be discussing your concerns with our GM. Thank you for letting us know so we can look into this for you." Well, apparently your GM isn't "looking into this" fast enough, based on all the others who have had problems with this dealership.

My wife and I went to this dealership after weeks of doing our homework and researching the Kia Soul. We went in with a budget and had an idea of what we wanted to pay for the car. However, when we arrived at the dealership we looked around for about twenty minutes and were not approached at all so we went inside to find a sales representative. We test drove a few cars and went to discuss the price when we were suddenly passed off to a different sales person who acted like he wanted nothing to do with us. Once we get to his desk the price of the car has gone up by $4000 because they add a bunch of extras that appear to be optional, but have already been added to the car. We then tell the guy what we can afford monthly and he says we have to sign a hand written document agreeing to buy the car today if he gets it at our “unrealistic” price. When we refuse to sign this hand written note he gets angry and tells us “well this is how we do things here. I’ll go get someone to deal with you all.” Needless to say, we went to Bob Sight Kia and bought the same car for much cheaper and had way better service.

I recently purchased a used 2016 Kia Soul Plus from Cable Dahmer a few weeks ago and I am SO in love with my car! This car was more than I could have hoped for. WORST car buying experience ever. They are very smooth about adding in “extras”. Check with your auto insurance before agreeing to purchase S.W.A.T. I agreed to purchase it at the dealer discount of $800. When signing they said “this one is for the S.W.A.T.” When signing, everything is electronic. Make them print out all the documents and go over what they are charging you for. They added on a $1,200 upgrade for S.W.A.T.

After seeing the high reviews I was hoping I could service my Kia Optima here rather than drive all the way out to Shawnee Mission where I bought the car. I was sadly disappointed. What should have been fairly easy fixes on my car I never received any communication from the service department/service contact the two days it was in the shop. The only communication I ever got was when I called in myself and received little to no information. Needing my vehicle for a trip, the third time I called in was to tell them I was coming in to pick my car up since they were obviously not interested in fixing it. When picking my car up, it was only then they magically had a detailed list of the parts needed to fix my car and that they would call me when the parts come in the following week so that it could be done quickly. Well, that was three weeks ago and still have gotten no communication. I will be continue to make the drive to Shawnee Mission where the service has been great when needed.

I emailed Cable-Dahmer Kia about a 2009 Chevy Silverado and received an email back from Brian Plattner. He affirmed that the vehicle was still available with a phone call and so I went to the dealership after work. When I arrived Brian greeted me and then ushered me off to another associate without a reason why. The newer sales person looked at what I was interested in and told me that the particular vehicle was sold on Saturday! Can anyone say "Bait and Switch"! So Cable-Dahmer, your salesperson got me to your dealership just to get me into another vehicle I wasn't interested in! Never going there again, Oh and while I was waiting there was a woman who came in who had purchased a vehicle there that was happy about her experience, she said she was getting the run around from your staff! Needless to say I wasn't the only one that was disappointed with your Kia Dealership staff.

If I could give them no stars I would!! I'm just saying this now. Dont EVER buy a car from Cable Dahmer Kia in Lee's Summit! I had my certified vehicle for less than a week before having problems with it. They have now had my car for almost a month with one phone call back from the guy who is supposed to be taking care of it only because I called him 4 times prior the same day. I have been told 3 times now that they dont have time to fix my car. And how is this? When I purchased almost $3000 worth of warranties besides the 2 the thing already had just in case we had problems. I am working on car payment #2 with NO CAR! I was told at 2:30pm today that I would be recieving a phone call from the GM only to have the service manager call me at 5:30 and promise to have the Gm call me at 7:30pm this evening. It is now 8:55pm and still no phone call. DONT EVER BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO LAWYER UP

Shout out to Justin Gilmore at Cable Dahmer Kia, who has been absolutely amazing to work with. My Optima began having issues with the engine and I was dropping it off with him frequently with service lights and eventually had to have the engine replaced. Kia is amazing and their staff is even better!! I brought my car up on Saturday for a state inspection. Mind you my car is from a different lot not associated with cable Dahmer. Just excepting a simple inspection and that’s it. They were so friendly to my two year old, gave him a cute little teddy bear and showed us where the play room was and snacks! As time was going by I asked how much longer my car would be and the guys stated they were running it thru the car wash right now. Brandt is the service dept can not complete a simple task of reporting my mileage to kia. Neither could Shawn A, but he is no longer there. I never could get ahold of Jeff Soloman the service manager to complain. THey run out of oil change reminder stickers and don't tell you but they will throw away a tire rotation sticker from Costco. They cannot change all my wipers, they can just change two bc that's all they thought about. Sadie the warranty clerk cannot close out an account correctly and the general manager Danella Cutter, is impossible to get ahold of. It seems like they all protect eachothers extension numbers Will never have service here again. They hire bad people

Went in to look at test drive the new telluride. Christina Dennis quickly got me in for a test drive. The one I drove was purchased by a person who test drove it just before me. This was an odd experience that was made to be WAY more difficult than it should have been. A bogus fee that I was told was a policy and on every car was a requirement on all their cars(it's $50 worth of stuff for $890). I walked away over that only to see the car get discounted $1000 3 days later. Without diving into it, this caused me to look elsewhere and that turned into a nightmare. Then, a promised repair was removed from the deal and had to get upper management involved. Luckily, the car was worth it.

Called to make appointment to look at car and received multiple calls & emails the car will be there and ready to go. After an hour drive to dealer no car and no one knew anything about what was going on. The car was at the other dealer and not cleaned or ready to go. Then we were told it was $1100 more than advertised price. The sales manager talked us in to coming back and against better judgment we went. They promised everything would go smoothly. First thing we noticed is there was a scrap on the front bumper not there from 2 days ago and then as we are signing papers we find out it doesn’t come with 5 year warranty as advertised but we were more than welcome to pay for one. When all said and done do not trust them and you are not buying with confidence like they so proudly advertise. Big dealership will tell you what you want to hear to sell you a car. Buyer beware

She's loves her job a lot and people. She's funny, consistent, and a professional. She made feel like I mattered to her. That made me happy. You don't find sales agents like that to often. Lee’s Summit is about an hour drive from Whiteman AFB and I recommend that all military families considering adding a new car to their family, MAKE THE DRIVE. Our family stopped in Saturday to purchase a new car before we head overseas to Belgium. Our salesperson Chris worked with us to help find the absolute best car for us. He figured out which features were most important to me and gave me many options to try out. We never once felt pressured to choose a car or buy one. I know most car salesmen can be pushy, but our experience here was fantastic. I would recommend Cable Dahmer Kia, but especially Chris to anyone (especially military families)!

When we got there for our recall appointment, there was a second recall. Our one hour appointment turned into 3 1/2 hours. We were never offered a vehicle to go get anything to eat, or have anyone ask if we needed anything. They never told us that they were sorry for the delay. I went to Cable dahmer Kia with the intentions to add a second vehicle to my my family, I had chosen the vehicle I wanted and began the process to get it, I had been at the dealership for almost four hours waiting on the financial end, I was informed that they were still working on the financial end and that they would be giving me a temp plate to take the car home, they assured me that everything would go through and they would give me a call in the morning to have me come in to finish singing papers for the vehicle. I didnt receive one call to come on or a courtesy call to inform me they were still working on it, I waited until afternoon with still no call, I called to speak with the financial department only to be transferred and receiving no answer from anyone. I physically went and took the vehicle back to find out what was going on, when I arrived they receptionist informed my the financial sales person was in with other costumers, I waited over 30 minutes to speak with him, he then took me back to his office and said they were still working on the financial part, then he stated that they needed more information from me, which was false due to the fact I had physically given all the items he asked me for the day before, he asked why i was getting upset about the situation and i stated they I didn't even receive I updated phone call about the situation, I gave back the keys and thanked him for his service and said I was done with trying to purchase the vehicle, he then said to me " whatever have a good day". I believe his name was either EK Or EG, one of the worse experiences I have ever had, at the end of the day if you don't have the right credit score and willing to but a large amount of money down, the will not be in any hurry to help you. As I former Active Duty Military Member and current Military Reserve member, not even so much that just a customer in general, I didnt understand why I didn't receive even one courtesy call to let me know what was going on, very unfortunate situation and I truly hope no one else has to go through that, everyone should be treated fairly no matter what their financial situation is.

Drove 40 minutes to Cable Dahmer Kia to look at 2 2018 Mazda CX-5's they had there. When I got there, the Salesman I had made an appointment with had apparently been sent home just before I arrived. So instead they sent out another salesman who had no clue what I was there to look at and any of the information I had given my other Salesman. So I had to start from scratch which took 40-45 minutes just getting the make and model of my trade-in before even getting to look at the CX-5's. Then when we go to get in the CX-5 it has no gas, so I can't test drive it more than a couple hundred yards due to the gas gauge saying "9 Miles to E". He offered to go put gas in it but at that point I had already invested over an hour and a half of my time and had just gotten to see the car. The CX-5 also had a bunch of dents and scratches that weren't shown on the website. Overall it was a terrible experience. I purchased my car elsewhere.

She goes the extra mile to ensure you are a satisfied customer and she does not disappoint. She does not try to sell you what you don't want. I was completely dissatisfied with my experience. while I was test driving vehicles, I was told inaccurate information about how much gas mileage the car got, how many seats are in the car, or if it was getting detailed or not. I felt as if my salesperson told me lies to make the car more appealing. During the financing, I was specific on which lender i wanted to use. I told them I wouldn’t purchase unless I was able to Borrow from a specific place. I was told that I was approved by the lender of my choice only to find out later that I was approved through a different place. At that time it was too late to back out. I asked three times and was lied to all three times. My car was never detailed, there were crayon markings and trash inside it. Although I complained, nothing was rectified.

Prior to arriving at Cable Dahmer Kia I had purchased and returned a used vehicle that I felt was a bad purchase and was thoroughly exhausted from the car buying experience that is until I met Christina Dennis. She was very patient, kind and compassionate in handling my purchase of a vehicle. We spent several hours looking through their inventory, discussing the right payment amount and options before she left the store and went to another location to pick up and bring to me a vehicle that I loved! She was anything but a high pressured sales lady. She sent us home with the vehicle on loan to make sure we truly enjoyed the vehicle and I did! Then I had a bump in the road b/c my financial adviser disclosed to me that I had to wait until the closing on my home was complete so I could refinance my house and purchasing a vehicle during this time was out of the question. Bought a new Kia Sportage from them and the car is great! The customer service is not the same. Every time I call to make an appointment, I get put on hold for an extremely long period of time. And when someone does answer I get the, “there isn’t anyone available for you to talk to at the moment, can we give you a call back?” And I NEVER receive a call back. I tired for over two weeks to set up a service appointment and everyone is unavailable. I did finally get the appointment set up and they said a loner vehicle would be provided for me at 5pm on a Tuesday. I made the appointment for two weeks in advanced to give them the opportunity to get things set up. They tell me that they will give me a call to approve the appointment. NEVER HAPPENED. The day of the appointment I call to make sure the loaner will be ready, and they inform me that no loaner vehicle is available!! Then I get told that I will receive a call back and yet again to no surprise, it doesn’t happen. Currently still waiting for a call back. Don’t trust them for reliable customer service.

This review is for their service dept. I had my car towed in on a Friday morning for a warranty issue, and I let them know well ahead of when it would arrive and exactly what was wrong with the car. I checked with them Friday before I left work and they hadn't taken it in yet. Understandable, they have appointments. Saturday I waited till 11am to call, wanted to get an update and find out about a loaner. They said they would check status and call me back. Waited till 2 for a call back, NEVER happened, and since they close at 3, I called again. They said that they should have it done Monday morning, and they didn't have any loaner cars available. After prodding some, they set me up with a rental to be picked up at the rental place on Sunday. My fault I wasn't available to pick it up on sunday so i had them set it up for monday when the place opened. Rental place called back and said they couldn't get it till 9am. That didn't work so I borrowed another car and cancelled the loaner. All day Monday I called and left messages trying to check on status of my car. My call was never returned. I ended up having to show up at 4pm. to get an answer. STILL took 20 minutes for them to figure out if it was ready. It was not. My belt tensioner had gone out and shredded the belts. I've been a mechanic for a long time, this is not a difficult job, the only reason I took it to them is because it's under warranty and it was the closest Kia dealer to where it broke down. I was told the mechanic just finished digging out the belts. Tuesday I called to check, got the same we'll find out and call you back, twice. Called again on my way up there and was told the one of the belts was the wrong one, it will be here tomorrow. Finally got my car back on Wednesday and so far it's ok. The lack of communication between the techs, advisors, and customers is appalling. I would NEVER take my car back to this service department again. This was my first and last experience with Cable Dahmer. Period. If you decide to use this dealer for service I pity you, and I hope it goes better than it did for me.

Not only was I able to speak to the GM David Dunn but he also took the issue I was inquiring about personal and handled it with the utmost sincerity. Every time we have had oil changes done which has been done on 3 different cars at 3 different times (including my mother's car who doesn't live with us) they have not tightened the bolt and we get home to find oil leaking on driveway. Ok, one time I will let it pass but this has been at least three times now and it's all in the details. This should not be going on. We always have new cars and this has been the only time I have had this experience. Who wants to drive twice to the shop to do a simple thing that should not be a problem to begin with. So just a heads up If you go here for oil changes you might want to at least mention this or avoid it all together.

I was intending on contacting the manager to file a complaint about the customer service I experienced today, but one employee of the many that I talked to (because most wouldn’t even make eye contact) changed my whole experience. I found a great deal within my price range on a used car on Cable Dahmer Kia’s lot after I hit a deer and totaled my car, so I went in for a test drive and had a great experience. I decided to sign a deal and put over half of the total cost down as I was waiting for the insurance check to come in the mail. I told the salesman that I would be back within a week to pay the balance (after the insurance check cleared), and was told to take my time, my car would be waiting, and they were flexible for situations like this all the time. When I came back 5 days later, I was greeted with “did you bring a check?” When my debit card was ran, it said i did not have sufficient funds, which was frustrating for both parties however the moment the transaction failed, I felt so embarrassed and noticed the demeanor of anyone who the salesman had talked to turned very awkward and was so uncomfortable I just left and called my wife for a ride home. My wife showed up 30 min later with my checkbook and all of the sudden, I was a person of value again. The point of this review however is not to document how bad my experience was, but to praise the employee in finance that processed my check, gave me temp tags, title, and finalized the paperwork. He was engaging, funny, and empathized with the embarrassment of my situation. He made the experience easy and enjoyable, but more so, didn’t just “provide good customer service” because he’s supposed to; but (what seemed to be) because that’s just how good people treat everyone.

Customer service is unreliable, there was a few problems on getting the vehicle we wanted and settled for the next one because it wasn’t held for us and another sold it , ooops . Then we signed our trade over before we were aware of a huge fee that we were not prepared for. Should’ve been the other way around. Just be aware of everything before you sign and read all and don’t rush . The rear camera don't work all the time even after replacing it , it is doing the same thing. I called service advisor left a message , called the service manager , left a message , no response. I will not recommend anyone until this is resolved.

My initial buying experience was very enjoyable. They have invested in a beautiful facility and top of the line amenities. From my first call to the signing of the paperwork, I found all the employees very helpful and friendly. I don’t immediately right reviews after the initial engagement, I usually wait six months to share my thoughts, so they are an 360 degree perspective of my experience. I was originally notified in January by the extended warranty company that my policy and coverage were invalid. When I called to figure out why I was told it was because the dealership had not sent the proper paperwork over. I have called the dealership no less than 10 times to try to get the issue rectified including being referred to Betty who was the customer service manager, multiple voicemails to the finance manager, and when I was at my wits in, I spoke to a new person in finance named Donnie. He committed to call the dealership’s liaison with the insurance company to get it rectified and call me back within 20 minutes. That was over 2 weeks ago and I’ve left 2 additional voicemails since then with no resolution. All car companies are great when you buy the car; the real test is, will they be there for you after you purchased the car. I’m very disappointed in the level of service I have received and am continuing to work to resolve my issue.

I got the very low end of the range Kelly Blue book suggested for my Jeep that was in excellent condition. It was valued about 2k hired at Dodge. Also I Have never had a finance company require money down just because. Although I ended up a really close to where I wouldn't be it took a really long time to get there however customer service was very good and the building is very nice and at least be were comfortable during the wait unlike another car dealers

We thought we finally found a dealership easy to work with, great salespeople, great service dept....well here it is almost 2 months later and still have a problem with the vehicle we purchased. It was in the shop more than we drove it due to a key fob issue. We were told to get a video of what was going on with it, we had several videos of it. Purchased an extended warranty that supposedly covered all electrical as well. Took it in only to be told they couldn't duplicate the problem. Then told to take it to a Dodge dealer as they could find the exact problem. Dodge dealer said it was never gonna be covered as it was a maintenance issue. Seems like they are avoiding the whole issue of buying a new fob for a vehicle we bought from them....

While it was a long process, Cable Dahmer successfully helped my wife and I in what I can honestly say was the best car buying experience I've ever had. Lucas English did an amazing job, and I would HIGHLY recommend you ask for him by name if you go to buy a car. Lucas listened to us, knew exactly what we were looking for price wise, and he made it happen. He was down to earth, and did not apply pressure on us at all (in a situation that is normally horribly nerve wracking). He even came in on his day off to help clean up our car, and just make sure that everything went smoothly. I absolutely cannot give him enough credit for his professionalism, and commitment to customer satisfaction. Cable Dahmer gave us the best deal that my wife and I have ever had. We purchased a used 2013 Ford Edge. Though it was labeled as 'Buy As Is', the car had an issue with the right passenger door ajar light constantly being on. This was a real concern for me, however I sat down with the GM to have the issue addressed, and he didn't even hesitate to get me taken care of. The Service Manager came over, evaluated the car, and ordered the parts for the repair right away. No grief, no grumbling, just genuine customer satisfaction. My one complaint about our experience was the wait time. We were in the dealership from 9am to about 6pm the day we arranged the deal, but even then they couldn't get our financing taken care of. The next morning, I arrived at 9am, and by 11am they still hadn't gotten around to taking care of me. The wait was incredibly frustrating, and really dampened my overall experience...that is until we finally sat down and saw the awesome deal that they were able to arrange for us. Long wait, but worth it. I would gladly recommend anyone to Cable Dahmer without hesitation. I'm normally not pro-big dealerships, but these guys truly do a good job, and I'm very grateful for their service.

The main reason for this review is to give Cable Dahmer Kia a chance to make improvements. The good things: The new young salesman and his colleague did a really great job on pricing me the car that I ultimately wanted, in a short amount of time. They were courteous and easy to deal with. (This would be my 3rd Kia Sportage I've owned and have had great reliability with them) The bad: After that, however, I spent nearly 6-7 hours total ...waiting. 3.5 on the first day to fill out all the documents and putting a deposit down, and 3.5 on the second day waiting for them to tell me a final interest rate that was actually inline with the market and I could accept. I figured this would have been ready far sooner since the paperwork was filled out over the weekend and I came in after work to finish up the deal. Then I waited some more, with very little interaction with anyone telling me what was taking so long. The car was prepped and was finally able to take it...but still no temp tag. I figured the hell with it, and left without it, as I had people waiting on me elsewhere. Before leaving, it was mentioned to me that the new sales manager didn't have his log-ins yet to quickly get a temp-tag. Bingo! This was what I was thinking the whole time I was WAITING! Lack of management! The building is fantastic, as well as the selection of vehicles, but no one took the time to give me a tour of the place. No tour of the service department, which I thought would be fairly important when it comes to sales. No tour of the lounge, finance, etc. As a new customer, I was surprised there wasn't an attempt by the hosts to show the place off, while I WAITED. IMO, a customer should only have to deal with 2, maybe 3 people at most to purchase a car, not get passed to to 5 or 6 different ones and having to repeat things over and over again. Its hard to build a rapport with a potential return customer using this kind of process. Bottom line to me, is lack of leadership and coordination. In the end, everyone I dealt with got the job done and were as courteous as could be under the circumstances. If you time on your hands to kill, then it might not bother you like it did me. The selection is great, the building is nice, and even the staff was nice, just seemed disconnected. I'm still on the fence about taking any service work there in the future. Time will tell.

Turns out it wasn't the same car as was advertised or the car was advertised as something it was not. So disappointed that we were misled so badly. They then said they did have a car like the one we wanted and showed us several different cars that were nothing like what we had said we were interested in. Be very careful of the things that are advertised for this car lot. It may be a waste of your time like it was ours!

Let me tell you about this dealership. We started looking at Cars last Monday with them and other dealers. They never once tried to pressure us into something. As other dealers were not welling to work with us, but Cable Dahmer rolled out the red carpet for us. Within a couple hours we was driving off in a brand new Forte. Phil and Lucas are great salesmen and EJ is a great financial manager. We love our new 2020 Kia Forte

Good price, quick service, and the washing of my car was a nice touch, however, my technician said he would follow up with me regarding a tear in my driver’s seat but never did.

We came in because the car we were doing brake replacements on had been over-torqued during inspection. Each lugnut had been carelessly over-torqued by at least 50 ft/lbs and we came in at 6:03. We saw several techs working in the garage. We asked for the problem (which was their fault) to be fixed and were told by four employees that no one was going to help us. The correction would have taken ten minutes. The overall attitude, carelessness, and lack of willingness made our experience unenjoyable.

We bought a 2018 Kia Niro in December 1917, and we got mostly excellent service. Just be sure to double check the list of things you're supposed to get, like the spare tire. Today's service was an oil change, tire rotation, and a wash. We were in and out in an hour and a half. The dealership is ultra modern, all white and gray, with plenty of windows. Sparse, but welcoming. Friendly, helpful people.

The only reason I gave a one star was because zero stars is not a rating. I recently bought a Ford Fusion used and the extended warranty. I dropped it off to the service department and left in a loaner car. Here I am on week 5 of them having my car. No one from the service department has called me I called on Monday and left a voicemail for Dave the general manager to call me ( my voicemail said I was upset but would be interested in maybe making another car purchase on the Kia Optima I’ve been driving) so on top of getting another car sale from me. And yet no one from the Kia dealership has called me. The only reason I know what’s going on with my car is because the nice guys at the local ford dealership have called me this week with the updates on my car. YET NO ONE FROM KIA HAS CALLED ME AT ALL

Wasted wayyy too much of my time. Refused to run contact lenders. Spent more time trying to get me into the dealership than actually selling me a car. Everytime I went they needed me to come back another day. Worst car buying and dealership experience of my life. I had my car in for service 06/26/19 and provided the case number for my mileage reimbursement case. Called the program last week and then spoke with someone at the dealership and proceeded to be passed back and forth between the dealership, mileage reimbursement hotline and consumer affairs. Was told it was submitted on 07/17/19 ( the date I took it back in for a Missouri state inspection) but the warranty administrator did not "push it on through" so I'm still waiting as this person was out of the office last week. Also was instructed by the mileage reimbursement specialist that the dealership would be calling me back due to my dissatisfaction. Spoke with the reimbursement line today and they still haven't received the info. So disappointed in this dealership. Wondering how long it will be before I get a call back from anyone at this dealership. I miss the service experience I had with my Nissans---Kia needs to learn how to provide good customer service.

Have now been there 3 times! Nothing but disappointed! A truck that was being transported there for me to look at never showed up after I sat an appointment. Time two i told a price and the number constantly changed and never got a clear price. Time 3 saw THE ASKING PRICE online went in to look, and they said it was a typo and no way they could sell for the price they sat! Extremely disorganized, and unprofessional wouldnt reccomend anyone wasting time here.
