I purchased a car from Kim's on 8/31 --I try to keep my business local and to be fair the sales people were nice. Before the purchase, my mom noticed that the ticket price and the price on the paperwork did not match, so we inquired about variance and were told that it was for the light tint that they put in the windows. I won't put the number, but it was expensive tint. So, when I take my car to be retinted, I tell the guy that the dealership put tint in and he would need to take it out -- to which he shows me that there was no tint to be removed and that the windows were as they were from the factory... so Kim's basically charged me a substantial amount for tint that I did not have and I still had to pay to get the windows tinted. Considering the interest that will be paid on that amount over the life of the car loan, we're talking even more money and some VERY expensive tint. For that I am disappointed since I was expecting "no bull".

Mississippi Dreamin'

Friendly folks but an old style dealership that still plays games, pretending you are supposed to be happy with list price (less mfg rebate, lucky you!), and hiding costs by quoting prices that exclude things like freight that are already part of list price. You won't find out about their "nonnegotiable" doc fees until the very end. I was quoted over $400 for that, which negated most of the mfg rebate I was offered. Many dealerships disclose their doc fees on their website so you can compare for yourself. They also don't seem to realize that manufacturers have configurators online now so you can see a breakdown of all the features and what true list price is supposed to be. And hey, you can search for your car online and find out what it is really selling for. And yes, you SHOULD be getting a decent dealer discount. After working with these folks for weeks I finally gave up and told them we were done. That same afternoon I spent 30 minutes online with another dealer, buying my perfect car via chat and at $3000 less than Kim's deal. And since the seller was out of state, I got the paperwork from the dealer and took it into our local county tax office where I paid for registration, MS sales tax, and my $10 title fee myself. (No dealer doc fees). I did have to pay for a one-way airline ticket to get my car. The dealership picked me up at the airport and I drove the car home. Do your homework and don't think you must buy local if they don't treat you fairly. This is 2019 not 1960!

I have been given the run around for the past three weeks. Between Mike walley and Kevin at sales. Everytime I call them they say they will call me back and never do. Here is how the story goes. I am a GA resident but was visiting my mom in Mississippi when I decided to buy a new truck. Kevin the sales guy says let's us your mom's address so the taxes will be cheaper. I said I have a GA license and I do not live here in MS. He says itll be fine. Later when finalizing the deal, the paperwork has the MS address, I say to Mike "This isnt the correct address. I do not live here". He said that should be fine. So I have been trying to tag my truck in GA where I live but they can never find it. After multiple calls among Kevin, Mike, and the title offices. While Mike and Kevin telling me multiple times that it was going to be transferred, MS has my tag info and is currently trying to charge me almost $900. I'll then have to retag the vehicle in GA costing evening more money. Spoke to Keith the sales manager. He said there is nothing he can do for me.

The service I received at Kim’s Nissan Dealership was awful. I’m never going here again and suggest others demand respect when they are handing over hard earned money. The repairs cost was extremely high but you would respect that from a dealership understanding the fact you get what you pay for. Sadly, that wasn’t the case for me . First, they over charged me and after speaking to the manager they agreed to accommodate the expeensives back on my account after I repeatedly stated I have my receipt handy. Finally, after they informed me my vehicle was supposedly fixed ,when I retrieved it minutes driving it down the road the check engine light came on. Stating the facts that it had a warranty on it I took it back , just to get told hours later that my vehicle was in great condition and they took the check engine light off and I should come get my vehicle.Finally, after thinking my worries is over I took it for a test drive just to have my car cut off in the middle of the highway. Again, knowing they informed me if I have any problems it has a warranty on it I can bring it back at anytime. I took my vehicle back to get rechecked . Days later they informed me I needed a brand new engine and demanded more funds . Clearly after this point I just took my vehicle else were. If you have money to splurge and don’t mind getting lied to then this is the Shop For You ,but on my end I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy .

Would highly suggest doing some substantial research before buying a used car here. My husband and I purchased a used car. The next week, the engine light came on. They stated "it was nothing they can do about it" Okay, I'll just keep calling or you can come pick up this junk you sold. The brakes had to be replaced and a few other things. They did the "work" but nothing seemed brand new. I would be very surprised if it were. They said they did a 27 point inspection but they did not. Took it to a licensed Honda dealer and almost 10 problems were noted. The only thing they "actually" did was stick a "Kim's" sticker on the back. Just scrape it off. I would go elsewhere. Can't be trusted. Update: The vehicle is in the shop, the cost is currently $2,800. It is important that I stress, that we did not cause any damage to this vehicle. It was sold to us in this condition. We have only had the vehicle for 1 year. Please do not buy from this establishment. Save your money and buy a new/used car elsewhere.

Another dealership in Laurel that plays the hidden numbers games. Found a truck I like with over $8000.00 rebates/incentives, whatever you wanna call them. Simple, bare bones truck that after rebates was 22+ thousand. They were going to give me $12,000 for my car, and add the $10,000 I still owed onto the truck. Well, last I checked, $22,000, minus the $12,000 credit for the trade in, takes it to 10,000, than add the $10,000 I still owe, and we are back at $20,000. The numbers they showed me, had the truck price with the $10 I still owed, minus the rebates, at $35,000. I know they charge for paperwork, there is taxes, and destination fee, but it isn't no $15,000 dollars. Thanks Kim's No Bull! Another untrusted dealership in Laurel. Glad I didn't step in the BULL!
