He was able to do a majority of the paperwork over email to get it prepped when I showed up with 2 kids and the wife. Honestly the paperwork took about 15 minutes and we had keys in hand. Had an awful experience here a year ago having what was supposed to be a routine oil change done which was covered under my maintenance plan and full warranty, only to find them blaming another bmw dealership for doing something wrong to my car and asking me to pay $3k out of pocket for the repairs. A year later, I’ve put that aside and inquired about a used car I wanted to buy, only to be told there’s a recall and they won’t be able to sell the car for two months or so. So then I inquired again a few weeks later about leasing a brand new X3 and was told I’d hear back with pricing and details and got zero response from the salesman I spoke to. Also filled out an online request, and also got no response. Does this place actually sell cars or is it just a showroom?

Our X5 was (still is) having several issues. Service requested add'l $350 on top of the $152 std diagnostic. 'Cause onboard computer wasn't telling them what to do? I thought; at least I'll get a detailed car back? No; dirty inside & out with 100 greasy finger prints across hood. I rarely give negative reviews, but C'MON Man!????

I needed a car quickly to replace my 2015 X5 that was water damaged in August and ever since have been looking for a new one with both color and options exactly meet my needs. The fact that living 300 miles away from Motorwerks limits what I can do to find my dream car. Nonetheless, my sales advisor Shawn Simonet made several critical recommendations and patiently answered all questions I had in a span of 3 weeks - all through emails so I can keep a record of our conversations. The transaction was swiftly done - 30 minutes of paperwork signing on my way to west coast and 20 minutes of on-site visit to pick up my new car ten days later. It was absolutely a 100% positive car shopping experience! And this won't happen without Shawn's understanding and assistance.

Worked with Tu to great success to purchase a CPO vehicle! Tu made the process of buying out-of-state very friendly while working with me on figuring out logistics in less then a 24 hour timespan. Both Motorwerks BMW and Tu were very flexible with the payment method when the original plan deemed to be to slow so that I could leave with the vehicle the same day. Only criticisms I have is the amount of waiting time after agreeing on the final price to actually leaving with the vehicle. But, it is a small cost compared to the good service I received.

Had a leaky air valve fixed on my X5, which was great; however, when they called to let me know my car was done, they added that there was "a massive oil leak, a 6 on a scale from 1-10 and that it would be $1600 to fix." I checked with my mechanic back home (who does lovely work), and he let me know there wasn't a spot of oil anywhere. I definitely recommend getting a second opinion from someone who isn't associated with BMW on any "work" your car needs.

Car ready in less than promised time and the service manager was superb. Waiting for your car is part of the ownership experience so I would like to see car dealers treat waiting the way some airports have improved pre-departure waiting. In this car service visit I was caught between the loud tv and the music playing from the sales floor. Wish they would think about the waiting process more from the customer’s viewpoint and provide options for seating, working, beverages, snacks, and noise.

I wish I never stepped foot in here. I just bought my pre-owned car here and it's already got problems. Like I haven't even gotten the license plates recent. Every other day the tire on back driver side needs air, they failed to mention anything about that. This is my honest experience from beginning to end. I get there, they said the car I wanted to look at would be ready in a little while. I wait around awhile, ends up being a long while by myself wondering where the guy went. Finally test drive the car I wanted, seemed fine. Got really low balled for my trade in. I still really wanted the car though so I went forward to buying it. I wait a couple more hours to actually buy it. The car wasn't ready they told me to pick it up the next day. Inconvenient but understandable. The next day comes to pick up my car, I didn't notice the scratch on the passenger side bumper I swear wasn't there when I took a test drive. I didn't notice it until I got home later that day, but they were already closed by then. I work a crazy amount of hours so I called about 10 days later, and truly that is where I messed up. The guy said he would email me, but didn't. I showed up in person because I'm serious, I want to know what happened. I gave them the benefit of the doubt like okay do you guys still have the pictures of this car and do you know if it was there and I just didn't notice it before? They said no, and that there is nothing they can do about it since I already bought it. I know I didn't damage my own car and I did not appreciate at all how I was talk to. I felt powerless, how could I prove it right? I understand the skepticism, because I'm skeptical of the answer I received what happened after the day I bought this car? This really took away from my experience of buying my first car at a dealership. I'm writing this to express my concern of this place. I'll pay to fix my car, I just find my experience here shady, and I will not let it go unnoticed.

Although I am really happy with the salesman and the promptness and professional service from the service writers, I am still a little disheartened. I am really glad that Motorwerks stood by and fixed the issues found with my used vehicle, by my own mechanic after Motorwerks said that it had gone through a full inspection and that everything had checked out. However, I was not notified that anyone had taken the plates off my car, which isn't a big deal but I bought the car with the plates. The person who took them off left their jack knife in my vehicle. The service department left oil on my paint and a new scuff on my front bumper by the oil. In the last 4 years working with a different dealership I have never had any complaints. I just assumed and shame on me for doing so, that buying a higher end vehicle meant higher end service. I know I bought a used car, but I walked around that car twice before I walked in to test drive it, I walked around it a couple days after, when I washed it. It was spotless.

Ive had multiple problems with their part department. Often Ive had parts delivered hours later than they should have been. Now day I was told that parts I needed would be delivered via normal driver are now slated for courier after I called them when it was two hours late. Disappointment is the least way I can describe this situation. Update: DO NOT TALK TO OR DEAL WITH MARCUS IN PARTS

I inquired about a used vehicle online and my sales person Tu responded right away, great guy. I ended up buying the vehicle and the process couldn’t have been better. I was in and out within a hour and a half. The vehicle I bought was used and the next day it wouldn’t start due to the battery. I connected Tu to let him know and knowing that it is a used vehicle buying it as is Tu and BMW we’re willing to fix the issue. Top notch communication and service.

Very positive experience at this dealership. We were interested in comparing prices on the X3 BMW from those of a dealership in Wisconsin. We were greeted by a very friendly sales representative, Karen Garcia. She asked what options I was interested in and gave 3 vehicle price sheets that had the options that matched and exceeded what I was looking for. Karen was very professional and her no pressure sales attitude was very refreshing. Karen explained rebates, financing plan, service after purchase, and information on the car I purchased in easy to understand terminology. Karen set me up the same day with their BMW genius to explain the instruments and features of the X3. She reassured me that the with safety features of the car, I would have a safe ride home and in the future. The next day, Karen reviewed features of the X3. When I am considering a mechanic to repair my vehicle, BMW motorwerks in Bloomington will be my absolute last resort. I scheduled an appointment Friday at 1pm to resolve an issue regarding my car. They were extremely busy when I was attempting to drop my car off, delaying my appointment 30mins even though I set an appointment 1 week a head of schedule and called 1 hour before my arrival. The greeters sensed my frustration and apologized for the inconvenience for the behavior of the advisors. No one notified me with any status update to my vehicle so I called Monday to find out that they test drove my car and “diagnosed” my car with nothing. I arrived at the dealership to pick my car up and was charged $150 for BMW motorwerks to test drive my car for 5minutes on the highway! I don’t mind paying for a repair that resolves my concern but to be charged $150 for the dealership to test drive my car for 5mins is unacceptable. This is the 4th time I’ve come to this dealership and experienced a sub par customer experience. Your appearance is everything! So if you fit the image of a bmw owner you’ll probably receive “Chick-fil-A” customer service but for the rest of us who enjoy wearing casual clothes to the dealership we will receive “Spirit Airlines” customer service at best!

I had noticed some mice made a home on my engine and chewed through a wiring harness on my 15' 335i. They were able to get me in right away and hayley was a great help with answering all my questions and keeping in touch through the process. They had it repaired in a timely fashion. My only issue with the level of service and not giving a 5 star rating was due to the fact that there was still mouse urine, bedding and food remains all over the motor in which they assured me it had been cleaned up and to my satisfaction, I was wrong for not checking myself right away. I would still recommend to others I guess I just expected more for the cost of repair and level of professionalism from the staff.

I have been a BMW owner for 15+ years. I’m on my third BMW right now. I’ve been to several different BMW dealerships and service shops (Florida, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Texas). I have never been treated so badly as with this shop. I love BMW, but it’s sad that a major dealership in the Twin Cities has such poor customer service. Three different times I have taken my vehicle to get worked on there over the last year and a half, and all three times they have misdiagnosed the problem, charged me a significant sum of money, and sent me away, all the while, the problem not actually being fixed. All three times I’ve had to go back to have them re-investigate the problem, and all three times they have wanted to charge me significant amount of money. For example, this week, I got my A/C recharged at a different shop, but it still wasn’t working so that shop told me to take it to the dealership. I did not want to go to the dealership, because they suck, but I reluctantly relented. I specifically told the rep that the car had already been re-charged, but he insisted that “other shops can’t be trusted”’(exact quote) and that a recharge would solve the problem in 95% of the cases. I sort of knew he was wrong, but I trusted him, as I had done in my two previous visits. Four days later (and $600+ later) I pick up my car, and still blows hot air. I talk to the manager Erik, who came out and basically agreed that there had been a miscommunication between the shop and the rep, and he said, “we should’ve caught this, we will take care of it on our accord.” (Exact quote). The next morning I got a call from the rep, Andy, to tell me that the repair would normally be $590 but they were only going to charge me $470. I was like, “how about the hundreds of dollars I’ve already wasted?” He basically said, “well, your car needed to recharge anyway.” I said, “No, I had just had it re-charged.” And he again echoed the sentiment that other shops can’t be trusted. I literally have had this exact same experience with them two other times. By my count, I think I’ve wasted apx. $2,200 at this shop over the last year and a half. At this point, I’m frustrated and legitimately sad that an international brand that I love so much and have enjoyed so much is represented by this local dealership. For the sake of all the BMW-lovers (like me) in the Twin Cities, I hope these guys make some serious shifts in how they approach customers.

Have been bringing my car in for service for a couple of years now. Brought my vehicle in recently for an engine diagnostic. I was told that because the light went off they couldn't retrieve the code. That's fine, I bring the car back a week later for the same issue and it begins to idle a little rough at this point. After keeping my vehicle for about 4-5 days I'm given the estimate which was nearing 4k. I decided to shop around and received an estimate for less than half that amount. The worst part of this ordeal is that when I picked my vehicle up it was horribly misfiring. It was driving 10x worse than when I dropped it off. I placed a call to the service center to follow up on what happened when my vehicle was being put back together and explained how afwul the vehicle was driving. No one ever followed up with me on this matter and I have spent over 6-7k at this shop. Don't VISIT!!!!

With the help of Deb and Earl, I found a used one-owner Jeep Grand Cherokee that was beautifully cared for. The sale was smooth and I felt like I got the SUV for a fair price. When I picked up my new ride, the car was spotless inside and out. It even had a full tank of fuel which isn’t the always the case at other dealerships. I imagine the only thing that compels myself or others to return here would be location. I called ahead to the parts department to inquire of availability, was told they had some in stock. Great. Took my lunch hour to drive across town only to waste it when I arrive I'm told "we don't have those, we have to order them". Completely defeating the purpose of calling ahead. I called because I have an older car and wanted to be sure, disappointed with the parts department.

Great group of people, that actually turn the whole car buying experience into a great time, but wait.. These people aren't just selling any cars.. There are some pretty sick looking cars in there.. Their are cars for the super wealthy, and cars for the average Joe, that needs a lot more style and kick from his car for once, but at an affordable price.. I was happy with my purchase of my CPO X1 in October of last year. Now, with less than 6 months of driving under my belt, I have been told by their service tech that my wheels need to be replaced. However, during the purchasing process, I was told by the sales associate that they were new wheels multiple times. He even went back out to the car to double check before I signed the papers. Now, at this reputable dealership, one would think you wouldn’t need to get everything in writing - and that you could trust the truth of what the sales team tells you. Clearly that is not the case - as my wheels are already needing to be replaced. I wouldn’t have bought the car with the miles it has on it knowing the tires would need to be replaced this quickly. The worst part about all of this is that the sales associate (And his manager) will not call me back to discuss the issue. I have been told by the maintainence department that it is being talked about, but now several weeks have gone by with no solution - and not even a phone call. The lack of respect is shocking. It’s clear they only care about the sale and not the customer. I am a young customer and worked hard for this BMW. It looks like they lost out on someone who might have been a customer for life. We will be going elsewhere - and I will be sharing this disappointing experience with others.

We just left, walked around for twenty minutes, were seen by numerous employees and not one asked if we had been or needed to be helped. I guess you have to look a certain way in order to be considered for help here. Definitely not going back, won’t recommend this place to anyone either. Update: we went back for some strange reason, even stood right outside the front door taking pictures of one of the cars parked there, still nothing. I have never seen so many people working together to not sell cars lol

Anyways, the key is as described & service was helpful & the building was fine & all that. Love the M3! Am a pallet jack operator & order picker at a maple grove warehouse. We just purchased a 2019 BMW X3 SAV from Leo Guzman. This is our 3rd car purchase from Motorwerks but our first new BMW in the family. After much research on new mid size SUVs we decided on the X3 and after our demo ride we know we made the right choice. As a person who loves to drive and has had many sports cars over the years the X3 was the perfect combination of utility and still getting a sports car feel in the performance and handling. Plus the cognac leather interior is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. This was my 2nd vehicle purchase from Leo and looked him up as soon as we decided we wanted to try the new Beemer. I had a GREAT Buying experience with him the first time and the 2nd time was even better as it involved more work for him due to a trade in we had. He really takes his time with you and it really is like buying a car from one of your best friends. He is Very low pressure and goes out of his way to make sure you are extremely happy with your purchase. My whole family enjoys coming to this dealership. I’m on my second BMW from Motorwerks now. It’s well staffed, which is helpful. It’s a dealership, so I expect the up sell on everything. Few days ago I noticed a bulge in my BMW 540 and since I was few miles from Motorwerks I drove there, thinking it's an emergency. I got there around 5pm, I was greeted promptly and after 20 min, an advisor evaluated the situation and said it's not an emergency and since the service crew are mainly gone I should return the next day. I made an appointment and showed up right on time, after 20 min I was told by the same advisor I should wait in the lounge for nearly an hour and all should be taken care of. In an hour and 20 min I went to look for my car when the advisor came to and said that supposedly the ramp or the tire machine "was not working" so they haven't done any work on my car, and that he forgot to check on my car and it's not clear when the machine will be running. But this review is about this part: so I said things happen, I will come back tomorrow, can I get a loaner, get to work and come pick up my car after work, and he simply said no, we can't give you a loaner!!! Needless to say this definitely is not my first BMW. I just can't understand why he was so adamant on not giving me a loaner? By doing that he would have saved me from writing a review. Also I have to mention the car was not washed either. Total disappoinment. The advisor's name was Bob.

Came in for an oil change and to have them look into a sputtering issue last June. Original warranty and maintenance plan. They never looked into the sputtering issue, and they also didn't reset the clock so my car kept saying it needed an oil change. I live 4 hours away. Driving to the cities is a pain. Flash forward to yesterday, now under a CPO warranty and maintenance plan. Needed Blake fluid flush, and asked if they could look into the sputtering issue as they didn't last time. They said they'd comp me 1 hour of diagnostics to see if they can find why my engine sputters and shuts down. I told them to ignore the other issues as I wasn't going to pay for diagnostics that they claimed would "likely reveal nothing". They claim to have done 3 hours of diagnostics, although there are no notes or proof they did so. And they still charged me $160 bucks. This is not what I requested. Oh and also, par for the course, they didn't reset the service indicator for the brake fluid, so I had to turn around and go in again. Pure incompetence. Craig was threatening and dismissive of my concerns. I have a voicemail proving he lied to me. I will never go back and will file an official complaint with BMW USA.

Great dealership, all around. I'm from Oklahoma and have been looking for a very particular SUV for some time. After failing to find one locally, I extended my searches beyond Oklahoma and the surrounding states. I found one Friday, but it was 768 miles away at some place named Motorwerks BMW. I thought, "what the heck, I'll give them a ring." A very nice gentleman named Ayman took my call, checked on the vehicle and said it was available. I started to ask him about the condition, options, colors, etc., yep, it's what I was looking for. I asked him about the previous owners, what he thought of the vehicle and if I could get some photos. I made sure he understood I'm coming from Oklahoma, so an accurate description and photos are very important. He took my information and quickly got me what I needed. Everything looked perfect from the photos and Ayman's descriptions. I went ahead and secured the car with a deposit. Next, I had to think logistics. Ayman was nice enough to lay out all my options. My initial thinking was to get it shipped, but that would take time and I wouldn't be able to see what I'm buying until it was delivered. The other option was to fly one-way. That night, I bought a one-way ticket to Minneapolis, MN for Saturday morning. I informed Ayman and he scheduled a pickup from the airport to the dealership. Upon my arrival to the impressive facility, I was greeted by some very nice people, including Ayman. He took me to my vehicle, I inspected it and it was exactly as described. He went over the paperwork (finance info, carfax, etc.) and I was sent to Finance to finish things up. It took another 40 minutes and I was off on my way back to Oklahoma with my new ride. Ayman and the entire dealership made me feel at home and got my paperwork processed quickly. I could have easily flown across the country, be disappointed because something wasn't like the description and had to find a way home. I like the upfront policy and honesty throughout the whole process. After this pleasant experience, I will definitely consider them on my next vehicle purchase, even though it's over 700 miles away.

If you want a new or CPO BMW please go see Ayman as he will take care of you within your needs. I spoke to him before my arrival to the dealership and he got an idea of what I was looking for. I found a used Subaru on the Motorwerks website and went into test drive and had nothing but a wonderful experience from my test drive to signing the papers on the car. Shawn was enjoyable to work with and could tell me all about the car. His colleague Ty also went on the test drive with us and was knowledgeable about subarus as he had owned one in the past and was able to tell me even more about the car as we drove. Motorwerks had even put brand new tires on the car which is a huge plus in a Minnesota winder! Overall I had a wonderful experience. I have only had my car for a week but they did not pressure me on the spot, were willing to negotiate, and had the car detailed beautifully for me before I left the dealership. Isis in the financial department assisted me with getting a loan and did her best to find me the best interest rate available and explained everything I needed to know. While I am not in the market for a BMW right now if I ever am in the future or need another used car I will definitely look at Motorwerks. I also purchased an extended warranty so I will update this review if I receive services on my car in the future at Motorwerks.

AVOID SERVICE Got a CPO/PPI inspection done here and the technician and shop foreman both said the car was in great shape. I was hearing a knocking sound during my testdrive, so I brought it back and had them listen to it and the shop foreman said "everything sounds normal, this noise is normal for a n55 engines". Fast-forward, I buy the car and bring it home (Michigan), my dealership does an oil change and only to find the oil full of metal shavings and their tech hear the rod knock on the 2015 435i with only 40k mileage. I contact Motorwerks only to be told the PPI inspection does not include checks like this (okay, so Im buying PPI for what, for you guys to glance over the car and say its good? NO, to make sure the car does not have major issue like bearing knock, which can be easily heard or diagnosed by pulling the oil filter out). The manager was rude and offered NO assistance or refund even-though their tech's were at fault for not diagnosing the sound even-though I HAD POINTED OUT THE NOISE before PPI. I would avoid this dealership for service and/or for buying CPO cars that have been checked by their incapable techs. Service department is clearly incapable of inspecting cars and or honor good service to their customers.

I had peeling of the clear coat on my X1. Service staff person (I think his name was Rick) had me bring car back so a BMW rep could look at it and said they will call me. The peeling clear coat problem I leaned is a known problem. I wish BMW would address this and I wish Motorwerks would have helped me get some resolution to this problem.

I’ve had a few less than optimal service experiences at this dealer, today prompted me to review. Booked an online oil change, as my service indicator came on along with my DEF fluid reserve light. $79 on the online scheduler, see no verbiage about diesel oil changes, and the scheduler shows my vehicle along with VIN, figure the $79 is probably good for my truck. At most, maybe there will be a $20 up charge for DEF fluid etc. Show up, and am told that ‘diesel service is $190 plus one to two bottles of DEF fluid’ promptly left. Oil for this vehicle is not 150% more expensive, and the dealership has in the past routinely topped off DEF at regular services at no charge. Should have known better, I’ll be returning to BMW Minnetonka even though it is out of the way.

I finalized an X3 lease this week with Anthony at Motorwerks. He was enthusiastic during a test drive about a month ago, and he spent a lot of time working with us and on price and other terms before we came back in to sign the paperwork. I never felt pressure. Furthermore, Anthony was honest and told us they couldn't give me what my trade-in was worth, and encouraged me to go get the best deal elsewhere (in our case, CarMax) -- I appreciated the upfront nature of that conversation. In all, we had a great experience with Anthony and Motorwerks and will definitely work with them in the future.

Leased a new 320I, and noticed some issues with the alignment after the second day. Called the guy who leased it to me & expressed my concern. He set me up with a service appointment. I ended up trying to call him back later that day to see if instead of getting it serviced, if he'd be interested in me upgrading to a nicer car. He didn't answer. I ended up calling back a few times over the next few days, but no answer. So I figured maybe he was on vacation, so i called the dealership and they confirmed he was working. So I get the hint, he made his sale, & doesn't want to deal with me. I get it, no problem. Now i'm a few weeks into my lease and my backup camera doesn't work, and my car grinds whenever i turn left. Get it serviced again, and am told they fixed the camera, and that the grinding noise is completely normal (they claim it's rust)... Camera still doesn't work, and car still grinds when i turn left. I got a 2nd opinion at the Minnetonka dealership, and right off the bat they said that noise is not normal. If you guys want a bmw, drive a few extra minutes to Minnetonka.

I had a great experience buying a used vehicle at Motorwerks. Tu Doan was excellent from beginning to end. He reached out to me immediately upon my online contact submission. He followed up with an email and sent me a video of the vehicle I was interested in. He was ready with the vehicle for a test drive as soon as I arrived. At purchase time, I was presented with warranty options, but didn't get the typical unwanted pressure to buy them that I have had at other dealerships. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience at Motorwerks, and especially with Tu. He was fantastic!

Zero stars is most appropriate based on the unethical used car sales practices. My college student daughter and I purchased a used vehicle "as-is" and fully understood that future unknown repairs would be ours to cover. We did not understand that we received a vehicle with known but undisclosed defects. A couple of days after purchase my daughter found in the glove box the dealer copy of an inspection report indicating that the vehicle had an oil leak from the head gasket. When we followed-up with the dealership, they produced a "wholesale to public/sold for parts only" document that I allegedly signed which disclosed the defects. This document was not in the documents that we received when we left the dealership, as it was magically produced by email 2 days after we followed-up. It is not even within reason that I would signed such a document since the intent of my college student daughter to use the vehicle personally was clearly known by the salesperson. The vehicle was not marketed or priced as a "wholesale to public/sold for parts only" transactions. I, my daughter, and her mom are all certain that we did not ever see such a document and that the defects were not ever made known to us as part of the sales process. They had no answer for why this vehicle would be appropriate to sell to a college student seeking a vehicle for personal use. The unethical practices continued through the finance department as we were also sold very hard on an extended warranty package "that covered the most components of any in the industry". Of course, the coverage would have been denied for the defects known to the dealership as stated on the "wholesale to public/sold for parts only" document which the dealership had and would have provided to the warranty provider. Seems to me that the warranty company would be pleased to sell coverage where they know they would not need to pay out for issues related to a head gasket/engine. We would have been quite surprised if we had purchased the coverage and then attempted to place a claim for a head gasket/engine repair. I would not have ever believed that this type of dealership would be in this end of the used car business. Buyer beware because they will stand fully behind their "documentation" and will not stand behind the vehicles they sell.

I walked in the door and with in a minute Duayne Weir greated me. He asked what he could do to help. I told him i had seen a 3 series on the website and would like to see it. I was taken to the car quickly and after a test drive I explained what I wanted with the lease i was in. They easily got the numbers together. It was a very good experience all the way through to the end. I would highly recommend go to Motorwerks to anyone looking for a BMW.
