I have always had good service here. But my most recently, it cost $85 for a 5-quart DEXOS oil change for my Equinox. There is a $15 rebate going on, but was not told about it; I had to find out about it on-line. $85 for an oil change really give me pause as to where to buy my next car, as other dealers are not nearly as expensive. If price of the oil change were a reasonable amount, the rating would have likely been 4 stars or more.

I called earlier to inquired what was the latest I could come in for an oil change. I was there 30 minutes before the latest time I was given. Oil change was done about 5 minutes to close and the lady handed me a notebook and sent me on my way. I decided to sit in my car to read over the paperwork as she was seemingly ready to go. Apparently I need to get a wheel alignment asap but she was not willing to take a few minutes to discuss with me. In my last oil change a different young lady mentioned that I may need one soon and if my car started to ride funny to bring in. Nothing had really happened so I figured I would see what happens at this oil change. I was prepared to discuss cost if it needed to be done but she said nothing just handed me my paperwork. I will not bring my car in for any type of service moving forward. I called the next day to explain and was offered the service manager, I declined because my reason for calling was to let them know they lost a customer.

So we schedule an appointment using Shaheens service department online appointment scheduler to get our vehicle in only to get a call early in the morning on the day of our appointment saying it was overbooked. I guess that service does not work very well and would use caution if you want to make an appointment using their online service.

Was given a repair estimate of 20 minutes. 20 minutes later was told part had to be gotten from body shop and it would take an additional 20 minutes before we would be ready to leave. 40 minutes later I had to check with technician and was told the repair was more complicated than he thought it was. Ended up taking almost 2 hours to replace a taillight that had water in it. Very poor time estimating.

I went to have a trade in appraised and was given a low ball offer. I asked for an explanation on the offer and was hoping someone would talk to me about options but nothing was given. I was disappointed with the offer but I am more upset with how I was treated. I did not feel like I was treated like a valued potential customer. I was also surprised that they did not know what a rotary engine was and that it does not have any cylinders.

I heard another actuator making noise in my old car and decided that I was not going to put any more money into her so I looked on line at Shaheen Chevrolet's website and found my new beauty. I scheduled an appointment for a test drive and fell in love. From the start to the finish of purchasing this beautiful used Equinox, sales manager Alex Pierre and my sales associate Brent Cram could not have been more personable and helpful through the process. Brent answered all of my questions the day I bought the SUV and the day after when a couple more questions came up. I love, love, love, my new to me SUV and have nothing but good things to say about Shaheen Chevrolet as a whole! Go there buy a new or used car, you will not be sorry!

Eric Partain was great to work with, very friendly, efficient and accessable. I was especially impressed that the car I ended up buying had a full tank of gas for me after closing the sale, when it had had a half tank just the day before when I did the test drive. Whereas I bought a car from Grand Ledge Ford a few years ago, and they sent me off the lot with the gas light already on. It's the little things that make a big impression, and I will definitely do business with Shaheen again!

I expected a lot better. I had an appointment with Hayden i think his name was and when i walked in Brent Cram decided to work with me instead. And when we sat down Brent started to ask me question and it felt like an interrogation. He was rude, unprofessional, talking about how bad his kids are and made car shopping super stressful. He tried to take advantage of a kid who was buying his first new car. also He kept telling me how much he doesn't car if i buy a vehicle or not and it was super rude. I wish Hayden would have been my salesmen like the original plan. The one time i did talk to Hayden he was super nice and respectful. offered me coffee and water and was super respectful. I'm not rating Shaheen 1 star because I'm sure they have a lot nicer salesmen, I'm rating my salesman Brent 1 star. Go to Feldman... They are a lot more friendly and don't interrogate people.

Acquired a screw in right rear tire of truck on I96 and in 5 five minutes was at 9 psi. Luckily stumbled on Shaheen Chevrolet. They immediately put air in the tire to get us into the right building for the repair. Free tire repair and free car wash and 30 minutes later we were on our way. Super service! Thanks to a great group of people and a company who lives out their customer service policy.

Anyone looking to purchase a car needs to see Zach Brendahl at Shaheen! I have always dreaded car shopping due to past experiences with very aggressive salespersons. Zach is a true sales professional and made the experience actually enjoyable! He was respectful of the tons of research I had done prior to coming into the dealership and provided helpful additional information. I visited and test drove vehicles at four different dealerships in the course of a day and Zach was, by far, the friendliest and most helpful professional I encountered and just a very nice guy. Sells u used, washed up lemons and dont even offer u some of the juice! IN FACT! You end up paying for it out of pocket when warrented parts are " not covered" and i had a 2 year battle with them to get my money back cuz they kept my car hostage "or on a lean" till i paid them and still had to work to pay their debt to me, on top my original car payments... Oh i have to keep full coverage on a car that dosnt work properly in the first place

I choose a 4 star rating because, my initial visit was a little confusing. I can't remember the name of the initial salesman I was supposed to meet with but, my wife and I had a 7:00 p.m. appointment with him; my wife and I arrived just before 7:00, we checked in, waited approximately 10 minutes, and we were finally greeted by Josh a different salesman. At first I gave 5 stars because I was able to get a 2016 Chevy Malibu with only 31,000 miles on it. Roger Hicks was my salesman and everything was perfect, I got the car on 2/23/19 and as I was vacationing in Chicago the car stopped and gave error messages and the check engine light came on as of 4/20/19 so less than two months of having the car the engine is having issues. This delays me going home to Lansing and forcing me to get another hotel and a rental car so in hopes of getting a loaner from shaheen or some type of reimbursement since the engine failed and will more than likely have to be replaced they told me I should call my warranty company and have them pay for the things I came out of pocket for. I asked about them giving me a loaner due to the fact I have to return the rental within the next two days and I bought my car from them, Matt(dealership supervisor) nor Roger Hicks(salesman) could give me an answer as to why I can’t get a loaner from them when I have taken all necessary steps to get this all fixed on my own instead I was told I would have to extend my rental out longer. I really liked shaheen and the people that worked there until I realized they don’t care about their customers and they claim they take care of them but “has no obligations to accommodate them” even though they sold me a car that clearly had a engine issue to begin with.

They say when buying a vehicle when you think you got a good deal, you didn't, and those that think they got a lousy deal got a good deal! I know I got one heck of a smoking deal, here's how I know. In 2017 I ordered two Chevrolet Cutaways Vans from the place that promised to treat me like "Family." At some point in time before delivery to the dealership, the salesman's employment was terminated, I had no contacts there at that point, I had to hunt my vehicles down by driving there, as no one had a clue as to what was going on. At the end of a challenging purchasing experience, as I was leaving the building, I ran into Curtis Remsing who handed me his card and said, "If you ever need anything." Eighteen months later, I needed another vehicle; we used the VIN from one of the trucks I recently purchased to order a 2019, same truck, same equipment, nothing had changed but the price! Calling Curtis was a smart move! Now, that's where it gets interesting, 18 months later I am ordering the exact truck, I end up with a better deal than when I was expecting to be treated like "Family." And I purchased two trucks that time to boot! I can hear that Shaheen song in my head. When I drive down M-59 I hear the jingle of all my money in their pockets! Shaheen Chevrolet for a smoking deal, Thank you, Curtis, for treating me like "Family."

I have the worst vehicle I have ever bought that was pre-owned honestly. I have a 2010 Equinox that has had more issues with it since it rolled out of the dealership. At just 58000 the engine had to be replaced in 2013. I have owned the vehicle for 1 year and it has been in the garage 6 times since then, the first time was within the first month of owning it! The guys at Shaheen has always taken care of me. The last 3 times (in the past 2 months), it has been for the Stabilitrak system. Each time was something different and since paying the first time to have it fixed, they have taken care of me (and rental) the last 2 times. Brad Millican, Service Manager, Adam, Service Rep, Rich Wurmnest, Mechanic, along with a few of the others, are amazing to work with! I am already talking with a sales rep to see about getting into something different at the end of the year. I have an "extended warranty" through the lender that we used and it has not paid but only 1 thing that has been replaced and they had to send Shaheen the part. I learned a very valuable lesson on working with a B lot! Never again!!

Onstar put us in touch with Dale at Shaheen - and even though they had a full schedule, Dale squeezed us in, and with our rig parked out in the lot - fixed our truck so we could make it home. We were treated so nicely by everyone at Shaheen, who invited us to relax in their customer lounge and drink coffee and watch TV. Very frustrated with the customer service while dropping off our vehicle for repair. We called ahead the day before and it still took the staff over 30 minutes to help us when we dropped the car off. Then when we finally got helped, the man who helped took another call then walked off in the middle of working with us to talk to a service tech about about a different car for several minutes.

I received an email from shaheen about their 48 hour sales event. I saw that they were offering: We’re paying your sales tax! OR We’ll give you a minimum of $4000 for your trade! OR GM Employee Discount for Everyone! So I called to figure out What they might be able to make happen as my partner and I have been trying to figure out how to get out of the upside down car loan we are currently in. I spoke to Sharice, who told me that in order for the vehicle to qualify for the "MINIMUM $4000 FOR YOUR TRADE IN" the car would have to be a 2008 or newer and have less than 175,000 miles on it. I understand the email says call for details however these details should at least be partially included in the email. Instead of saying "minimum $4000 for your trade in" and leaving it at that make sure you put that there are stipulations on what vehicle you choose to take. We both got our hopes up only to be let down once again by these dealerships that claim they can help anyone in any situation. So once again our credit was ran to only be sent home empty handed.

I would rate the customer service at Shaheen as second to none. I made the mistake of shopping at another Chevy dealer on Michigan Ave. After they screwed around with the price on my trade, poor follow up, and the salesman incessantly complaining about his job, I made a trip over to Shaheen. There my wife and I were greeted by Logan our salesman. He made the entire purchase completely effortless. Shaheen had an extensive inventory and I had no problems whatsoever with finding a truck that fit my needs and personal style. The sales manager Scott actually took the time to come out of his office and meet with my wife and I,unlike Mr big at the other dealer. And to top all this off, I received $2000 more for my trade. Buy from Shaheen, go see Logan, he will make you feel like a customer, not an end of month commission.

My wife had a 1:00pm appointment to have your tires changed out and a oil change it was after 3:00pm and they had still not gotten the car done three people were sitting around looking at a Corvette and one person was doing the work on my wife's car so much for making an appointment. We live in the Lansing area and have three daughters, the youngest age 19 and a sophomore at MSU. Over the years, I've handled the first and second used-car buying exercise with each daughter. I'm also a long-time business owner, so I'm obviously very busy. For each daughter, we used the same process and approach: determine what they would like in a used vehicle, pair that with what we wanted them to have for practical purposes (four- or all-wheel drive for our winters, good safety/crash-test ratings, non-smoker) and set a budget we could afford when it came time to start looking. For the first two daughters, we never had much luck at Shaheen. This time, however, in June we found 2016 Equinox right in our price range. It was super clean, had just 17,000 miles, and checked all our other boxes. The salesman, Keith Walters, was terrific. About a month after buying the car, the A/C stopped working, followed a day or so later by the windshield wiper fluid system conking out. Unfortunately, the bumper-to-bumper warranty had expired about a month before our purchase. We took the car to Shaheen service, where I obviously expressed my strong disappointment with both issues cropping up so soon after purchase and warranty expiration. While the vehicle was being serviced, they put our daughter into a rental so she could get to work. And when the repairs were done, they stepped up and covered everything. We did not have to pay a penny. I've been a loyal Chevy and GM customer for decades. When it comes time for our next new car, I'll definitely give Shaheen a shot as they've earned it. Thanks Keith for being our advocate, and thanks Shaheen for standing behind what you sell.

Good service. Price of a dextos 6qt oil change is now $89. Update that my paperwork said that I'd declined required oil change service, when that was the service performed and paid for. There was also a strong sales pitch to replace a cabin air filter that is just over 1 yr old and is just fine, which they'd document as "Requires Immediate Attention", that's outright untrue.

The most difficult thing about writing this post will be ensuring that I'm thorough, yet concise. I could not possibly ask for more out of the car buying experience and have actually gotten it. I may just invite Brent Cram to Thanksgiving dinner this year. I started thinking about buying my first non-SUV in September of last year. Brent never grew impatient and was immediately responsive every time that I reached out to him. He let me know my options, let me make informed decisions, and there was never any pressure. He didn't sell me my first non-SUV; Brent let me buy it! Brent shared my excitement when I finally found my baby and decided to buy her. He ordered my personalized plates for me, sent me a calendar with the photo we took on the day I bought, and he has checked in to check how I'm enjoying my new toy. I would not have begrudged Brent if I never heard from him again. But, he has continued to go above and beyond the call of duty. Brent, thank you for everything. I can't wait for spring to finally arrive. I'll swing by and take you for a spin. The cops won't be able to see us because I got the tint job. And they'd never catch us if I decided to run!

UPDATE: Just had my first oil change today and I again have to say that Shaheen Chevrolet is all class. The staff is friendly, finished on time, and even left a beautiful flower on my dash--red, my favorite. Then, I discovered that you get a free car wash with every service visit! But that's not even the best part... While I was waiting, another customer stopped in just to drop off Tim Horton's for the guys in the shop "because they always take good care of" him. He wasn't even having his vehicle worked on today! If that doesn't convince you how amazing Shaheen Chevrolet is, nothing will. I have been getting my oil changed at the dealership since I bought my Chevy Cruze in 2015. I had never taken advantage of the top off of fluid levels between oil changes but my left front tire was not holding air pressure. The service dept. was very friendly and helpful. They topped of my fluids and found a nail in my tire which they repaired free of charge as well as getting a free car wash. It was a very pleasant experience. My tires are getting older and they pointed out I will need to replace my tires this year and provided me with quotes for 4 different kinds of tires. I like the preventive care aspect of the customer service.

Bought a 2014 GMC Sierra in January, found out in May that AC wasn't working. Clearly wasnt working when I bought it and didn't attempt to use it until it got warmer. Purchased warranty but work isn't covered. Very much preached about reputation and integrity during sales process but didn't come through or stand behind product. Went today, to look and purchase a vehicle. Richie the sales guy was very nice and professional. But when it came to the outright price, they didn't even wanna work with the buyer. Mike the pre owned manager, just said thanks for coming. And walked up and left and told his staff, and they all started to laugh and make fun as if the price was unacceptable and to low. There are much better ways of saying , that the deal cant be made. I have done the research and I know the value of the car, and how much low can it go. Poor customer relations.

My wife took her equinox in for a oil change and tire rotation got done and went about her day we drove out of date the next day and I was discovered she was missing a lug nut on the passenger front wheel I walk to the driver side and there was another one that was finger tight! I was not happy to say the least after my wife and daughter have been driving it around thank goodness the wheel or wheels didn’t fall off! After speaking to a couple managers they told me that they were just as concerned as I was and that they would start having a second technician check everyone’s lug nuts so this would never happen again. Well I’m sad to say I went in a week later and nothing has changed I even call the manager who made the promise who said he’s got other issues then hung up on me! I wouldn’t recommend anyone take their vehicles there I was the scariest thing thinking about what could have happened to my wife and 9 month old daughter while they drove around with loss lug nuts. We bought our equinox from Shaheen and after this I won’t be going back for anything nothing is going to change and next time the results could be horrible! And no you don’t care I tried to talk with Tom he’s the one that hung up on me and said he has other stuff going on

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I took my car in on a Friday to figure out why my touch screen went blank. I told the man that i absolutely must have my car by Sunday. I received a call later that day that it would cost me $1200 to have it fixed. Of course I said no and that I wanted to pick my car up. I was told that it wasn’t ready to be picked up yet and I would receive a call when it was ready. Sunday comes around and still no call. I go to the dealership to see if I could pick my car up, and it still wasn’t ready and the gates were closed. After speaking to customer service, I was told that I would have to wait until Monday for my car. THEY DIDNT EVEN FIX MY CAR!! All they did was run a test and found out my radio was dead. Unacceptable.

Prompt and professional services. No one wants to have their vehicle serviced, but Shaheen does a good job of offering 'quick' services for regular maintenance items and a traditional service center for other repairs. The waiting room have coffee,and water, there are magazines and televisions to help pass the time. The shuttle service is another nice option so you can drop the car and still get to work

I usually don't comment much in these surveys but I felt it necessary after my recent experience. Yesterday 3/13/19, I took my 2018 Silverado in for routine maintenance and the team in the quick lube area were great. After the oil change my truck went over to have a wheel alignment (due to the terrible Michigan roads). This is where I have the problem. After I got my truck back, I went to take it through the car wash that is on site and it was not working. I stopped to get gas and noticed I had oil on my truck from the service conducted and also had grease in the cab of my truck. I must say that this was a first. I have taken my trucks here for the last 3+ years and never had this happen. Unfortunately I did not report it to service. So for those reading this, please inspect your vehicles post service.
