I am unsure why Commonwealth would say "shop us last" I shopped with them first and felt absolutely no need to go anywhere else. From my initial contact with Marshall to make an appointment to the service that I had at the dealership with Mark and Edwin I was beyond impressed. The entire team is polite and friendly- in my opinion true professionals. The guys went above and beyond to find the color Jetta that I wanted and I pick up my car in just a few short days. I am beyond excited ! Guys thank you SO much . I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and they have my continued business for sure.

Great service and trustworthy service advisers. I have been using this dealer for the maintenance of my 2006 Passat (2 years). The hourly rate is identical to the regular garage down the street. For the same price I am getting factory trained technicians and warranty. I have always dealt with Mark Defrancesco. He is very honest and explains all the suggested repairs. I really like that he understands that it is a 10 year old car and never tries to push me to do unneeded repairs. Always gives me a great price as well. I am in and out the same day with great shuttle service to and from work.

Commonwealth says to shop them last but I never made it past them to another dealer when I bought my 2018 VW GTI. They weren't pushy at all. I told them the price I was at after comparing prices at other VW dealers and they were extremely competitive. They didn't have the exact car I wanted based on color and options but were able to get me one in only a few days. I would definitely recommend them and shout out to my salesman, Chris LeBlanc, for hooking me up with my car.

My experience was excellent at Commonwealth Motors. I was very pleased by how caring and understanding both Matt and Hans were towards me. I was in an awful situation trying to get trade in a vehicle that I had purchased through another dealership and it depreciated significantly within 1 year since I purchased it and they did whatever they could to get me out of the situation to ensure that I would be able to get as much for my trade in vehicle in order to purchase a new car from them. I couldn’t be more happy with everything they did for me and going the extra mile to try and figure out ways to help me cancel my previous warranties, etc. I am so happy with the service I received and my family has been purchasing vehicles from Commonwealth Motors (specifically Volkswagen) for years and this is my first purchase and will definitely not be my last. I was able to turn my Jetta in a couple months early and get into a new vehicle in just about 48 hours! Roy was the salesman who took me on the test drive and showed me all the amazing features in the Tiguan and answered my million questions with professionalism and a smile, Marshall helped in so many ways figuring out finances and working the numbers and Benny had me in and out in record time, while being so patient (and even funny!) while I signed every paper imaginable! I've bought about 15 cars and this was by far my best experience with any dealership. I totaled my last car I was in love with and was referred by a friend to Dennis Millman. I was looking for very specific vehicles to meet my needs. Dennis found me exactly what I wanted. It took a couple days longer than expected to try and get financing because of my shakey credit. Dennis got me a loaner car so I didn't have to go without a vehicle from their rental facility on site. (this is and awesome service that most dealers don't have available to them). I have a very busy schedule and work about 45 min away. As soon as the car was ready Dennis had Manny Cintron deliver the car to my work and drive the rental back for me!!!!! I was BLOWN AWAY by how far they went out of their way for me. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I highly recommend Dennis and his sales staff. I will never buy a car anywhere else again and have reffered everyone I know to him since. PS: I had an alignment done somewhere else and they broke a part on my car making it unsafe to drive. I called Dennis and he immeadiatly had me come drop the car off and got me into another rental...I was blown away. He introduced me to Reggie Miller in their service department. Reggie had me up and running with in one day with the part fixed and explained everything that they did in detail. This to me was very reassuring to know since I knew what the problem was, how it happened, and how it could be avoided in the future. Nothing is more frustrating than a mechanic just telling you your car is broken and you need to give them tons of money. It was a cheap fix and I was extremely happy to be back in my car that quickly. Reggie is a true assett to the commonwealth family.

I have been taking my car to VW service since I bought it against the constant advice of friends who said I was being ripped off. Initially, while I had the warrantee, I had no choice and it was conveniently located for me. They also had flexible hours. I was prepared to pay a bit extra for this and a couple of times when there were problems, Mark , the manager, addressed it fairly quickly. Every visit was followed by a call from a relentlessly bubbly customer service agent and a couple of emails asking me to rate my experience. The one time I actually spoke to her and told her I was very unhappy, I didn''t hear from anyone again. Interesting.....The problem this time was a gratuitous oil change at 5K not the 10K VW put on the sticker the last time they changed it. They "suggested" this in addition to a larger repair. Mark took care of making this right. But just like clockwork, a couple of days after the service, one of my headlights went out and I needed to return and spend an hour and $50. This has happened at least three or four times . My friends said that it's easy to cause a bulb to go out to guarantee another visit and repair. I asked a couple of times about this and I never got an answer. The main difference these last couple of times is rude, dismissive service people . At least in the past, the guys were pleasant. It 's a lot easier to be taken advantage of if people are nice about it. I hope I can locate a good independent VW garage. Do not go to Commonwealth VW if you are a single woman who doesn't know much about cars!

For the service center. These people will scam you and take your money. Came here a little under a year ago for an annual check up on my Jetta. It was supposed to be a free service. I wait for about an hour and a half and a gentlemen came out to talk to me. He said that a part needed to be replaced on the back brakes. Apparently they were rusting. He said it would cost $45. I said okay go ahead $45 is alright. In an hour the car was ready again. It wasn't fully explained to me exactly what need to be replaced just that it need to get done and it would be easy. Because of this I didn't second guess them. When it came time to pay I was handed a bill for $480. Apparently the man heavy Boston accent made the $480 bill sound like $45. I explained that I had not agreed to this. When I gave them the go ahead to replace the part I said "$45 sure I can pay that today". I was scammed. There were no apologies or acknowledgment of wrong doing on the part of the service center. I was told once the parts were on I needed to pay and they wouldn't take them off. I would NEVER recommend this place. Honestly the worst part of it all, is that my back breaks still squeak a year after they put this new part in. Whatever they did only made things worse. DON'T GO HERE.

My friend just leased a Jetta and wanted some roof racks installed. After getting them put on the car he drove off and there was a horrible humming noise that started at about 35MPH. Went in to see someone about it and has tried to get in touch with dealer about it and has left numerous messages and has still not gotten a call back it has been at least 5 weeks! He is a kayaker and wanted racks but can not tolerate the noise that they make, thought that VW racks would be the way to go, anyone else have a problem with roof racks?

Our experience could not have been a better one at Commonwealth. Purchasing a new car in a state other than the one we reside in seemed like a daunting task to get the correct registration, tags, etc...but both Chris and Marshall went the extra mile to ensure a smooth transaction and kept us updated on the process daily. Anthony Vancini is by far, the best salesperson I have dealt with in all of my experiences in purchasing/leasing vehicles. He is attentive, efficient and provides an experience that is unmatched. They fixed my car very quickly and kept me in the loop the whole time. I personally dealt with Dave. He spoke in a way that gave me full confidence in him, the staff, and the company. Brought my VW Golf R in for simply a tire replacement. I assumed they have a high speed balancer and would just mount and balance the tire and park the car outside once ready. I didnt realize they would need to road test my R for a joy ride. I dont understand why yoj need to put 3 miles on my vehicle for a simple tire replacement. When you go to townfair tire they mount and balance tires and hand you your car back. Not happy about this and the service department is rude and straight out hung up on me when I called to complain. Do yourself a favor and avoid the them. They might invest heavly in marketing but maybe they should look to invest in customer service training.

NEVER buy a car here. Sales people promise things they cannot do. In my experience I used to lease a car for 2 years and it was about to end on August, the sales people guarantied me that last payment would be cover by them but 5 months later I got a bill for the remaining month. I've connected with the Finance people but they said the Sales person no longer work there and that they cannot make any clarification. I ended up paying the remaining month which I would not have any issue if they hadn't promised it. They lost a loyal customer, not as a dealership as the entire company.

The aspects I liked especially were, Hans Malebranche and the whole Sales Team and their willingness to make sure you are completely satisfied with the vehicle you are purchasing. The consideration of my time as a customer and making sure everything got done in a timely manner. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! My husband purchased a Jetta last week on Monday, 10/22 from salesperson KHASIN LOPEZ. Initially I came to the lot by myself, however my husband filled out a credit application online... I found a car I liked fairly quickly and it didn't take long to make a deal, although just from basic conversation I noticed Kashin lying SEVERAL times about various (this should have been enough for me to just walk away, but lesson learned.) Kashin was also not at all knowledgeable on the Jetta... he even told me features weren't included in my car that ARE included... anyway, after we made a deal I made an appointment to return to the lot with my husband that evening to sign paperwork and to take our new car home as we were transferring plates from our old car. I was VERY CLEAR that we wanted things to move quickly as we had plans that night, and stressed that it would be appreciated if the paperwork was ready to sign when we got there. I even called an hour before our arrival to the lot and asked Khasin if the paperwork was all set and he confirmed that it was. Of course when we arrived to the lot, the dealership hadn't even submitted my husbands credit application to the bank yet!!!! Yet another lie... after OVER AN HOUR of waiting the sales manager came to us with the approval paperwork. It took another hour in his office signing forms (some forms were signed twice or three times due to mistakes on their part.) During this process the sales manager was pushy with elective items and upgrades and it honestly made me uncomfortable, he was literally arguing with me about what insurance policies I carry and what I should buy. It was really rude.... however despite all of what was mentioned above, when we left the dealership that night we were just happy to be in our new car... now fast forward 10 days and I'M LIVID! I will be making a formal complaint against Khasin Lopez and this dealership to Volkswagen and the BBB. I have left several messages for Khasin and his superior and my calls go ignored.... nobody has reached out to me regarding the registration to my husbands new car and we are now driving around illegally. A light also came on as soon as we pulled out of the dealership parking lot, this was mentioned on the voicemails I left but clearly this dealership doesn't care about doing the right thing.... as soon as they get their check, our calls go ignored..... AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Awful/Spiteful owner. They didn't have the color car i wanted so i had to go elsewhere. I even offered the sales girl, Scarlett $100 cause i felt bad. Now for service they took my appointment and cancelled it and tried to push it out over a month to spite us. Good way to earn future business. Go elsewhere where they actually care about their reputation. I was told the owner, Charlie, had them do this. Don't let them pretend they care about the community with their nonsense ads. What a joke this place is I stop by to drop my car off for service since I was in the area. They didn't do anything I ask them to do they didn't balance the wheel they didn't check the brakes all they kept trying to do was upsell me on some wheel bearings that didn't need to be replaced. Stay away from this place I swear if I could give them negative Stars I wouldn't even give him a star at all.

We turned up ready to buy a car on the day. Showed up at 9am as soon as they opened. The poor sales associate was trying to find us cars to look at but between her not having a list of cars and prices to pull up and the stock of cars that were not on the lot or "somewhere else" on the lot, we drove one car in 3 hours. Went to another dealership down the road and drove away with a new car in less time. Not to mention they offered us a better deal on a certified car and an additional $1,000 for our trade in. This wasn't the sales associate's fault, they just have a really bad system for their sales team to track inventory (she was using the website) and the inventory listed online wasn't actually on the lot. Poor management in my opinion.

I Had an agreement with sales rep (Hans), had my car appraised and left deposit, the following day I called in to finalize it by giving them the title etc... it turned out they made a mistake by 8grand, and we’re cancelling The sale.. commonwealth wouldn’t honor the agreement or Make an offer even close to which had been agreed on....I would avoid this dealership at all costs, conmen in suits....

Our experience with Commonwealth Motors has always been a very positive one. When we heard the slogan “shop us last” we decided to give this place a try. Our first experience with a new young salesman helped us when we were in financial stress and no one else would give us a chance. We made good on that chance and today as we were servicing our lease... we decided to just take a look at a new addition. We met Tony L. Another young salesman with a kind heart, a desire to build a client base with trust and honesty and in 5 minutes I knew I was talking to the right person. After test driving four cars and paying close attention to my wants and needs Tony not only me a car but my partner one too! Two for the price of one... brand new and absolutely what we can afford. We had been putting off doing this and were sharing one car. Commonwealth VW listed a used Jetta as accident free, so I test drove, liked it and signed a purchase agreement. The next morning I looked at the Carfax. The vehicle was in an accident! I called Hans that morning to tell him that I wasn't interested in the car anymore. He told me that I should have looked at the Carfax ahead of time! Needless say, I didn't buy it and 11 days later I'm still waiting for them to return my deposit. Oh, and if you're wondering, their website is still advertising the car as accident free!

Best VW sales in the northeast. I live near Lebanon, NH and drive all the way to Lawrence when I want to buy a VW because these guys are fantastic (and the VW in my town is part of a horrendous dealership network). They are honest, give the best prices anywhere (I called around and tried to get a lower price elsewhere just to make sure, but couldn't find one), and have a perfect selection. My most recent car was a Passat GT that nobody else had. Not only were they happy to locate it for me, but they did so at a better price than anybody else. They are respectful when you come in and not pushy at all. They even did some other very nice things to help out with a sale to someone who lives so far from them. Great people.

Procrastination usually never pays off for me, but in this case it was worth it! My son's VW Jetta was seriously overdue for some maintenance. I had called around different service stations getting some real INSANE quotes. I was at a loss, then after seeing an online ad thought, well let me give them a call. I called 5-6 times from Summer to Fall and every time they were courteous, kind and responsive to ALL my questions. The hours worked perfectly with my crazy schedule and they had availability any day even Saturday's!! Now in my recent past experiences with OTHER company's service depts. I was shuffled around and spoke to many reps not having any sense of direction. They also seemed to "add-on" problems with the car as they would go on making the situation way worst than it was :( When I called Commonwealth VW, I spoke to Dave and he was VERY informative, helpful and competent. Not to mention polite; you don't find that in customer service anymore. He broke down everything, explaining in full detail the whole process including costs and coming up with a game plan to get the work done with out it draining the pockets.The repair only took half a day, I was THRiLLED! Commonwealth VW service is top of the line! They are highly organized, informative and know their VW's!!! Thank you for your service!
