Car Corporation of MD, though a bit further than I wanted to drive to buy a replacement car, was easy enough to get to from the City. The staff was friendly, and it was nice to speak with people who shared my enthusiasm for driving a manual transmission vehicle. After hours of research and an impromptu test drive of a friend's car led me to my decision, I found that they had the car that best matched my desires and budget. By far. Four stars vs five due to what seemed a very drawn out paperwork process. Easy. Pleasant. But it took a bit too long. Let's say 4 1/2.

After dealing with hidden fees at other car dealerships we saw the very competitive prices of Car Corporation of Maryland's cars on CarGurus and called them to make sure there wasn't a catch, and there wasn't! We worked with Alyssa, who showed us the cars we initially came to look at and others that she thought we would like. She was so nice and helpful! We ended up purchasing a car that Alyssa found for us! It was significantly below our budget but still perfect for our needs. This was my first time purchasing a car at a dealership (rather than from friends and family) and I felt very comfortable at Car Corporation of Maryland. They have a couch, TV and fireplace and made me lots of coffee! It was a much better experience than the big showrooms of other places (plus no hidden fees!)

UPDATE: STILL waiting on the extended warranty information and one month later the brakes went out. I know that's not covered under the extended warrantybut I guess that shows what type of vehicle inspections are done. I hardly even drive the car as the brakes must have been pretty low to only last a month. Looks like from other posts nothing will be done about this but I will call tomorrow and continue to email. Excellent, enjoyable experience. Alyssa was a great help answering all my questions, providing pictures and making sure that I was comfortable making an out of state purchase. This was my third different car dealership in same day. First one was not impressive because I tried to see 4 cars but they all seemed to have at one problem like dead battery, needed to be jumpstart or in garage for repair. Second place was so-so. This third place here was very neat, ready and reliable! Awesome staff!!! And they are very patience! Even a guy there knows sign language! In and out! Very quickly! Bought a Honda Odyssey here a couple months ago. I've dealt with car salesman a few times, and generally speaking it can be a nightmare (pushy). Christine was very nice to work with. We had a couple minor concerns about the car beforehand, and they went the extra mile to ensure it was exactly what we wanted when we made the purchase (alignment, oil change, etc). I bought a 2011 Ford Escape there and found an issue with my 2 front tires a couple days after I purchased it and contacted Bill and he asked me to bring it in, and actually offered me my full down payment and void the loan if I wasn't satisfied with my Escape, after I expressed I was upset about my 2 front tires,long story short He told me to leave my vehicle there and he would fix any front suspension problems for free and he also gave me a loaner vehicle to take home so I wouldn't have to wait while they inspected my suspension and installed 2 new front tires, which he did and had the front wheels aligned,and as of now I can't ask for anything more knowing I bought my vehicle from a dealership who stands behind their vehicles and I really love my Ford Escape and feel secure knowing they will go out of their way to make their customers satisfied,Thanks Bill for keeping your word.

Buyer beware. This place has vehicles that look nice and they have good prices, but get the car checked out first by a good mechanic. Bought a Jeep there and within a few days, almost every warning light started going off. Generally the warning lights would go off in a day or two, but having this place check them out with no service capabilities was a hassle. A $1,200 repair fixed one problem, but there’s many more (and they were not willing to split the bill). They even advertised non-functioning features. I’d avoid this used car dealership.

I hate shopping for used cars because most used car dealerships are pushy, like to be right at your shoulder wherever you are, and try their hardest to not allow you to leave their property without buying. This is the complete opposite of the way I shop for a used car. When I shop for a used car (or in this case, truck), I try to scrutinize the vehicle as much as I can (as I believe one should). I also try to not buy the first time I look at a vehicle (to avoid my own personal buyers remorse). Christine was not pushy and made me feel very comfortable with the way I like to shop for a used vehicle. When I wanted to talk with other people about the truck, she allowed me space to talk without her there and did not interrupt me at all...she waited until I was done and came back to her myself. When I told her I was not going to buy the first time I looked at the truck, she did not push at all and allowed me to leave without any grief because I was not buying. When it came down to negotiating price, they would not budge on their asking price...BUT they did add value by including other perks in the deal to make the sale. Overall, I am extremely happy with my experience at Car Corp. I would recommend them to anyone else looking to purchase a used car (and I still check their inventory just in case they end up with another vehicle that I would like to buy)!

I recently found myself in a position to get my dream car- a Jeep JK. I had some specific requirements (manual, 2-door, low miles, 2012 or newer, etc.) and couldn't find anything within 100 miles of my home here in southern NJ. My search included CT, DE, VA, PA, NJ, NY and MD. I was finally able to find my target at Car Corp of MD. I made my way to the dealership and worked with Alyssa McFadden. The test drive was straight-forward, and I had previously worked out my own financing. Alyssa was helpful and professional. There was a wait, because there were a lot of people buying vehicles that day, but nothing I haven't experienced at any other dealership. I also worked with Pete Sorice, their F&I guy, who was also very nice and professional. They got me promised components (shift knob) after the fact, and I recently received my NJ plates. I would suggest that anyone buying a used car insist on a 3rd party inspection, but that holds true for anyone making such a purchase. Very happy with my new ride- Thank you!

EDITED: The buying process was very simple. We went to the dealership with a vehicle in mind. The saleswomen helped us with the vehicle and had anything fixed that needed to be fixed. We are very happy with the purchase. We love the vehicle. We had a little problem with the warranty company but Bill from car corporation contacted me and helped me and my husband out and spoke with the warranty company and we were able to get the issue resolved. Own a 2010 Honda Crosstour that I bought in late January from Car Corp of MD and have only put on 4K miles so far. First of all, I didn’t receive any type of floor mats besides paper which meant I had to worry about a car I just bought getting dirty (until I bought my own). I did choose to spend $1950 for full time warranty but didn’t plan on having to end up spending another $2k out of pocket for new tires (weren’t replace when I bought the car), a new battery after the first month, and new break pistons, calipers and rotors. It also would have been nice if they could have provided me with a spare key instead of telling me they would end up charging me for that too. Long story short- I’ve spent just over $2k out of pocket on a car I recently purchased. I feel as a first time buyer they could have done much better so I unfortunately won’t be returning here in the near future.

I purchased a used Honda Civic from Car Corp of MD in Spring of 2016. Christine was my sales rep. She is totally awesome, very helpful, and cares deeply about satisfying her customers. Customer service and satisfaction is clearly very important to Christine and the team at Car Corp, and I must say, I am both incredibly happy and satisfied with my experience. I live in DC and didn't want to make the trek out to Sykesville to pick up my car (its almost an hour drive), so Christine filled out all the paperwork in advance and DROVE THE CAR TO MY NECK OF THE WOODS just to make it easier on me to pick up. She went out of her way to make the process much easier for me, even meeting me at a diner at 9:00pm on a weeknight to go over the paperwork and finalize the transaction. Then, several weeks later, I popped a tire on a curb while driving in the city. The car had locked lug nuts on the wheels, but I couldn't find the key for the lock (most likely one of the previous owners lost it). I was upset, but Car Corp and Christine reimbursed me for the cost of stripping and replacing the lug nuts, almost $200. They were very understanding and helpful. I could not have had a better experience with this dealership, and highly recommend Christine in particular.
