I came looking a specific car but unfortunately they don't have it here. I did however get a LOT of helpful information from my salesman Kenneth about a ford that I didn't even think about. He really opened my eyes and now I'm really considering going and getting it this weekend! I can tell he is a really honest guy and I absolutely love how he wasn't pushy at all. Kenneth really knows his stuff and connected well with me to find a car that fits both my personality & lifestyle needs, he was also very mindful of my budget. This place has spectacular customer service and based off that visit today I know exactly where I want to go to buy me and my wife's cars. Honesty Is the best policy and I know I am dealing with a very honest and reasonable business and business man. Absolutely blown away with the service. Very anxious to go close the deal and shake some hands this weekend.

They sold me two lemons and when I took them both back to get some work done on them the only thing they could tell me they could do was put me in a new car and take out a brand new lease horrible customer service. They'll talk you into a circle and make you think something's being done when nothing at all is being done. I wouldn't give such a bad review if one of the cars was bad and the other was okay but both of the cars from car America turned out to be total lemons. Do your homework when car shopping especially for a used car.

DO NOT GO HERE. COMPLETE SCAMMERS. THEY SOLD ME A BAD CAR AND DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO ACCOMMODATE. HOW CONVENIENT THAT IT IS PAST THE LEMON LAW DATE. THE A/C IN THE CAN STOPPED WORKING A WEEK AFTER I GOT IT. I TOOK IT BACK THEY DID A QUICK FIX...THE REAL COST OF THE REPAIR IS $800. GO FIGURE. This place uses fake contests and misleading marketing to get people in the door, then intimidation tactics once you get there. Aggressive and dishonest. I will never give my money to a business that tries to profit from deceiving people. Read through the reviews. The good ones sound fake. You have people saying that this dealership has hidden fees, and one reviewer even said a salesman threatened her husband. So where are all these glowing 5 star reviews coming from? I bet money the manager and employees are creating fake reviews to boost their ratings.

GAMES! Advertised prices not honored. They advertise near wholesale pricing, which makes you think they're honest and want to sell cars. But when you get the "real" price after test driving, it's $3,000 more. They say it's due to "fees". This kind of shell games gives car dealers bad names, and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Sorry, i don't deal with businesses that play these games. Neither should you.

Buying my car at Car America of Laurel was the easiest car buying experience I have had. I knew the car I wanted and they had a great price online so I did not need to negotiate much. The sales people were extremely friendly, Chuck and Zane helped with the purchase and securing the financing I wanted. They made it easy and low stress without the high pressure sales pitches I have gotten at other dealerships. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for good customer service and good prices on late model used cars in good shape.

My experience there overall was ridiculous, never again. The sales associate Quinn was wonderful, however, the rest of the staff were just out of their minds. They advertised for cars online for 8000 but once I got the full price FINALLY they said it was nearly 13000!!! Where did this charge come from? Aside from tags, title and taxes and dealership fee, they put recondition/reconstruction fee(I'm not sure for the word) but I was told that fee was 3495 or something. What the hell? So if the car needed new tires or new brakes prior to you wanting to buy the car, you'll be paying for that services, even if you didn't know what was needed to be fixed prior to you wanting the car. This was just ridiculous. I had to keep calling because these people didn't want to tell me the full price of the car when I was in person and kept saying come to the dealership. I'm from Baltimore and going to laurel is about an hr away. Why would I travel there to get a total price for a car vs I pick up the phone and you tell me? Overall, I would never go back out there. They were just the worse kind of service, aside from the older Caucasian man and Quinn helping me and my mother find a car.

I went to Car America after seeing a car on their website advertised at an amazing price. When I came into the dealership, suddenly, all these fees started accumulating following my test drive. After I told them I intend on financing through my credit union, they constantly insisted that I go through one of their "partners" in order to get a lower APR, the salesman even went as far to say they could get me an interest rate that was even lower than my said credit union. After being at the dealership for 3+ hours, I decided I wasn't going home empty handed. I settled on the car after doing some comparison pricing to other dealerships and their associated fees. Hopefully I didn't pick out a lemon.

STAY AWAY!!! Place is a total scam! Dinged out credit so bad and we didn't even know they were doing it!! What they don't tell you is that they tax on their own personal $2500 lot fee non negotiable. In the 3 hours we were they, we got the run around about price until we decide to leave and finally the finance manager runs over to tell us he was able to get us a loan to finance $22k with 24.1% interest for a car advertised for $12,500. Our credit is very good!! Then we come to find out that our credit has 17 new hits from these a-holes!! Do not go here, you will regret it!

Like most people, I saw online that the price for a car that I wanted was a good deal. Apparently it was too good to be true. The car I was looking at was $9,778. I was planning on putting $3000 down so I would only be taking out a $6000 loan. They put together an estimate for about how much the monthly payment would be because my mother was in a hurry and needed to get to work. They told me that it would be $170 a month with an estimated 5% interest rate. After getting home and thinking about it, the price seemed high. I called and asked the guy who showed me around, Quinn, if he could break down the price for me and tell me the total of the car. He placed me on hold so he could speak to his manager who made the estimate. I was on hold for over 20 minutes and then another person picked up the line and said that Quinn was helping another customer in the lot. He rudely said that they were really busy and he could take a message. This was about 5 hours ago and I still have not received a call back. So basically, he left me sitting on hold hoping that I would hang up. This place is ridiculous and not worth the time or effort. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Went in to look at a jeep and they showed me a Compass that looked like it had been keyed by a pissed off ex girlfriend. then proceeded to show me other vehicles that really smelled bad. they told me it was no pressure but after I decided to leave I was stopped by some guy in a loud blue suit who sprinted outside to explain that they had other cars to choose from at another location. if the cars there are as horrible as the ones here then I'll pass!!! how is this place still open, terrible experience.

I'd like to share my experience purchasing a vehicle at this dealership. Of course, everything was great and everybody in this dealership was helpful until papers were signed. I've bought a 2015 WV Tiguan from them that had two dents on its body and my sales agent told me dealership was going to take care of that for me. He filled out some sort of a list of things dealer had to fix, writing down both - door dent and bumper dent. Since they did not have staff to do body fixes on site, they told me they would call me in a few days to set up an appointment. After that fun has began. 1. They are not responsive once you sign papers - nobody called me for 3 weeks. Every time I called them, I was told that the person responsible for my appointment was assisting another customer. Never called me back. 2. Your information might not be secure with them - their financial director Stacy called me to ask for my social security to pass it to the financing institution. She literally said "You can take a picture of your ssn card and text it to me". Why not post it on your Facebook page instead? This gives me an idea of how they treat customers' personal sensitive information. 3. Not attentive to details - they made a mistake in financial paperwork and told me to come over to their location to sign another copy. They do not have means for e-signature so I had to take a 1 hour trip to correct their mistake. 4. Poorly organized - they finally called me to set up an appointment for fixing body dents 1 month after the purchase. When I arrived on the day of that appointment (another 1 hour trip), turned out nobody was expecting me and all they had to offer were their apologies. 5. You cannot trust them - do yourself a favor - don't sign anything until they deliver on their promises. My biggest mistake was to trust their word as when time came to fix the dents (2 months after purchase), it turned out they would fix only one dent. The other one was crossed out of the list. Of course, nobody knew who and why crossed it out. Basically they made a correction in a signed document without having me sign next to that correction, to acknowledge the fact of such. And they never gave me a copy of that original list of things they had to fix for me. Now this was the 4th vehicle I bought for the past 4 years for myself, my business and my family, so I know a thing or two about working with dealerships. And I also know that if you are looking for a stress-free experience - you might want to take your business elsewhere.

Management has no idea what they are doing. They are racist! They sell you a car that is dirty smells horrible. If you are in the market for a vehicle I would strongly suggest you purchase someplace else! Half of the 5 star reviews were done by the employees,. How do I know I worked there! I bought a car here a year ago and Blair treated me amazing. I got a great deal on my trade-in, and walked out the same day with the car I came to look at. A year later the car still runs wonderful. They've offered me an option to extend the full warranty I had with them as well. My father just purchased a car here as well and Abou treated the both of us wonderful as well! I've always been treated like a valued customer, even after I purchased my car. Troy, the finance guy, was also amazing in dealing with both of us and making the whole process enjoyable. The prices here are also more than fair and everyone tries their best to work with you no matter what your situation is.

It's a small used car lot; not great but not garbage. The car I helped my daughter buy was filthy on the inside and reeked of smoke, but they took care of the smell and the seats (when we returned the next day), which was about half of what needed to be done. Really, the car shouldn't have been on the lot in that condition, but my daughter's happy with her new (to her) car, so it gets a "satisfactory" from me.

Excellent experience, got a great deal on my car. The staff worked together very well and I felt welcome from the moment I walked in the dealership. Initially my car had a couple problems but they are taking great care of me and making sure that all the problems are handled. Ask for Donnell or Brendan they were both very helpful to me but any of the salesmen in the dealership will get you what you need and take care of you.

Any negative post a bout this place that anyone has ever posted is true! They are gonna try to take advantage of you so make sure you pay attention to every detail of the contract and that if they say that they are gonna do something for you, make sure to get it in writing before you leave. If they say no, don't take no for an answer because even if it is a verbal contract they have an obligation as a business to uphold their promise to you even if it is verbal but still, WRITING!!! GET IT ALL IN WRITING!!!

I purchased my Hyundai Sonata Saturday February 3,2018. I received customer service from Brendan Jackson. In the beginning when I first purchased my car I was pleased with his service up until I was ready to drive off the lot with my car. In the back seat of my car there are several spots on my seat that should have been removed before I left, but I took Brendan for his word when he said that he would give me my rugs and a detail/spots removed from my seats the next time I come which was February 5,2018 because of the fact that the auto service department was close Saturday. While I was on my way home from the dealership after purchasing my car I realized that my gas needle was right above E, which he fixed on February 5,2018. Instead of Brendan making sure all the spots were removed, he removed only one spot from off of the passanger back seat and didn't bother the other spots. Overall I was not pleased at all with my customer service with him after today. I was told by Brendan on February 5, 2018 that Ms. Donna Kidwell, put in the order for my new rugs that morning. The day before I came to pick up my tags and rugs which was February 27,2018. I called to let Bendan know that I would be there the next morning to pick up my rugs and tags, instead of him telling me the day before when I called he failed to mention that the order was cancelled for my new rugs until that morning after I brought it to his knowledge. When I arrived that morning he put my tags on and presented me with rugs that didn't match my car. Bendan told me that morning (February 28,2018) that the purchase for my new rugs would have to come out of his paycheck or I would have to pay for them out of pocket which was never my responsibility in the first place when I was told I would receive my new rugs.

We started here because they gave us a really good deal on my wife's Versa and we did not leave disappointed. :) Rhoda, our sales consultant, made the whole process a real pleasure. We found a sweet new ride that I just had to have (and now I do). It took some time and repeatedly standing firm on my target price, but they came through in the end with everything I wanted. My experience with this place was terrible but shady at best. I dealt with Zane Carroll. He wasn't rude or anything but he was extremely inconsistent. He would offer things but later on change what he offered. I live 3 hours away from the place where the car was so he offered to have a driver pick me up to take me to the car (doesn't make sense) or have someone drive the car to me. Ultimately I had to be at the dealership because there were some forms that "couldn't leave the dealership." Another inconsistency is we were going to meet that day around 5 but then he realized that we were farther away so he suggested that we meet the next day (in the morning), and we agreed. The next morning I wake up early to get ready to drive to see the car (for which I hadn't seen a window sticker, recent carfax, detailed inspection) only to be told that the car had sold overnight. He tells me that it was a first come first serve (which he did not tell me up front) and that since I had cancelled and scheduled for the next day (his idea) that the car was not reserved for me at all. (NONE OF THIS WAS TOLD TO ME AT ALL!!!!) I really feel like this was a bait and switch situation. When I was inquiring about the car, it was like pulling teeth to get any detailed information about the car. I was sent a video of the car which was slightly better than pictures. But other than that the things I received were incomplete. There were charges tacked on to the price of the car so I asked for a detailed breakdown of the prices etc and kept getting told "I don't have that information." All in all I'm SO RELIEVED that I did not drive three hours away for this place. I am fed up with them. Lastly, I received a call from a higher up person in the company called Bill (he told me that they call him Dollar Bill). He seemed shady because he wasn’t at the location but was calling me to confirm my appointment with the car (which I had not made yet) because he was planning on having the car transferred to another location, so I needed to come see the car that day. AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU KNOW SOMEONE THAT WORKS THERE!!!

Inquired about a vehicle listed on truecar for $16,000 which is towards the lower end of kbb dealer market value. Scheduled test drive with salesman Norwood for 2 hours later. When I got there he said the car was not there yet. Then he offered to run numbers for me. He then came back with a sheet adding 2500 reconditioning fee and some other fees with a total price of $20,000. These idiots wasted my time. Do not do business with these bottom feeders.

My wife and I finally broke down and financed our first car in 11 years because our circumstances required it. We were up front and let Dean know that our credit was going to be difficult to work with and we didn’t have any money at all for a down payment, but we were in a desperate situation. He gave our information to the finance manager and they were able to secure an affordable loan for us, for the vehicle we requested (which turned out to be much nicer than we were expecting). They even accepted our rust bucket of a mini van as a trade in. Next time we are looking for a replacement vehicle we will definitely go to Car America of Laurel first. Bait and switch...lack of communication... basically once you buy the car your on your own even though they say they will take care of the the items you need to have fixed. I came in needing a new car, this was my first time at a dealership, and the immediate help was great. I call and set and appointment but when I got there the car was not ready infact it was dirty and smelled like freshly burnt Newports. The bumper needed clips, the hubcaps needed to be replaced, no manual, no wheel lock key, and absolutely no communication. Customer service stops after you sign for the car. Oh the GM/owner...who ever he is was not trying to be of any assistance...he was the worst! Sales people are nice but nah never again.

He said it's against their policy to discuss over the phone. I asked why, and he said because customers may not come in if they know what the fees are. True story. This review was long overdue. I bought my car last year in April my sales representative was very nice and did all he could to get me in a car that I'd like and make his sale. Nothing was really explained to me about my car but thats also my fault for not asking a lot of questions. They also gave me my brand new car on Empty. Not only did I buy a car, I traded one in. For three months after I bought my car they lost my paper work time and time again to the point it was actually ridiculous. I was always going back up there to give them documents that they've lost. Cars America still has yet to report or take ownership of that car I traded in even though they have all the documents so the MVA still has the vehicle under my name. My car model doesn't have a plate holder in the front so it had to specially be ordered. Not only did they know this once they gave me my tags, but they said theyd order it. This was in July 2018. I've called up there maybe 5 times since july ...my tag plate holder is still not on my car and its January 2019. They mean well but have terrible execution and irresponsible staff. Everyone I know that has bought a car from here has said the same thing. Hopefully they get it together soon. But honestly wouldn't recommend buying a car from here.

So.. I had this Nissan Sentra that I was so ready to get rid of! Buttttt, due to life circumstances, my credit wasn't the greatest. I had seen CarAmerica around before and thought I'd try my luck. I sent in my information online to CarAmerica and within 20mins I received a phone call from TROY. He was the ABSOLUTE best! He took all my info over the phone and got the process started for me while I was busy at work without even stepping foot in the dealership yet. Once I got to the dealership, between TROY, JASON, & DEWAYNE, they rocked it out for me and got me exactly what I needed within my means! Not only did I get a car that I'm completely in love with, Troy's customer service and dedication was something I've never seen from a car salesman! 10 days after driving off the lot and getting settled into my new baby, I go back in and JASON had been working hard in the background on my behalf and got my payments reduced.. They called me due to a pet approval. Got me in there and excited only to not finish the deal and quote me the wrong percentage apr rate. They kept giving me a run around. So Troy tried to compensate for the multiple deficits presented by the inept sales professionals. Troy said he was a manager and he would work in the deal and would communicate with me regarding the deal. Well long and behold they pulled my credit 3 times even tho I already had a Pre approval. These people had something called a reconditioning fee and would try anything to get this fee paid I think it goes directly to them. If you're a capital one customer run fast and don't pay these clowns any attention. I wouldnt allow them to sale me anything else after this.

My sales rep was Mike, it is amazing and respectful. I was at the dealership multiple times before I purchased my fusion and each time he willingly took me out for a test drive and did not push a sale if I was not 100 percent satisfied and wanted to purchase. Donna and Jimmy were amazing with financing and finding me several vehicles that fit my needs and budget, they were very understanding of my current situation. This will be where I purchase all of my vehicles from this point on.

Don't be taken for a ride. Price online for a used car is $12k, sales person comes to us after the test drive to say the actually price is $14k, without any taxes! The salesman told us that this was a standard practice of all dealers to attract customers! This is utter nonsense and blatant cheating on the price of the car! He said the online price is only representative and the price is pay is the BOLD price, that's is a price literally written with a bold marker on sheet of paper! The sales guy was more interested to have our personal information including our Social Security numbers so that he could give us an 'actual monthly payments' estimate after running our credit without first even disclosing or discussing the price of the car. He was very very pushy and wanted us to disclose our SSN even before we saw or test drove a single car. He was extremely pushy. If we had done all these things are we were being pushed to do, the actually inflated 'BOLD' price of the car would have been hidden behind the big even bolder monthly payments. In all I would suggest go to another dealer who is more trustworthy. And if you do visit here, Watch-out! Check the prices of the car online with any free car appraisal website like kbb or Edmunds and do not give away your SSN which will lead to a credit inquiry and a hard inquiry on your credit report.

I received an excellent price for a good little car. Dino was a great salesman! He was courteous, sweet, not pushy, and very patient. I appreciate that the test drives were on real roads in real conditions. I was going between two cars and one of the managers was able to give honest and helpful feedback regarding the quality and need for maintenance on one car over the other. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that I ended up waiting 2.5 hours to even get in to get my paperwork done and that was insane. They should have more than one person there on weekends for this purpose.

I searched online and found a car that I was greatly interested in at a great price. However, similar to the experiences of others I have read on this site, when I arrived they tried to tack on over $2000 onto the advertised price for "reconditioning". To make this reconditioning add on more ridiculous, when we arrived the car had several cigarette burns inside and a damaged bumper. The salesman named Troy, then tried to talk in a circle to justify adding so much on so we simply walked away. I would warn anyone considering this location to simply go elsewhere, this business utilizes dirty sales tactics and just cant be trusted.

Not a Customer Friendly Management. Long story: I've been to this place 3-times. And the management knows that. I was very much interested in one of their cars. It was a used 2017 Nissan Versa Note with 15K miles on it. The first time i went, i asked if they trade a motorcycle and they said sure. The numbers came out to be $11K (out the door). My budget was $10K, so we didnt make the deal. Basically they were buying my motorcycle for free and making me eat the cost. I went online and saw that the MSRP was posted as $11K, which was ~$1K less than online research (KBB). So we went the second time, no motorcycle trade this time. The out-the-door came out to $12K, we tried negotiating but no response from management. We went 3rd time, upon positive feedback from one of the sales man when i talked to him over the phone. Basically I told him over the phone that I am only coming in if they can offer lower than $10K (out the door). He guaranteed me and so we went in. And i even promised to take loan out for some amount of the payment. We have a 11-month baby with us, so time is very precious. We went in thinking we're going to get the deal and walk out with the car because the sales person guaranteed us he'll work between $10K and $11K number. Upon arriving, the dealer spent nearly 15min to 20mins just checking credit score and bringing the car to front and exciting us that they'll make us a good deal. He finally comes back with numbers and its $12.5K (out the door). I said Ok, I'll push my self to 11K, but no more. He comes back with $11.8K. I said $11.2K. And then the manager comes over and you can see he's mad. I'm not sure why he was mad because as a customer it's my right to get what I want. if you dont want to negotiate you have to do what CarMax does. No-Haggle-Price. THats all. and I'm out. The manager gets all upset and starts telling me how $11.8 is the lowest while he's loosing money. Then the sales person gets involved and says if you were to own a dealership and loose $500 bucks, would you allow that. To that I said "Heck yes. If I'm gaining a customer. That's worth more than the $500 bucks i'm loosing today." Dear Car Laurel of America, all i asked was to be polite and honest. If you cannot guarantee anything, please do not lure your customers in and waste both of our times. DP

I had the exact same experience as the other reviewers. Saw a car online that I was sure was underpriced and couldn't figure out why. Went, test drove it, loved it. Then we sat down to talk about pricing. Despite my repeated assertions that no, I'm not planning on financing through them but through my credit union (I truly must have said that half a dozen times in 30 minutes), Isaiah asked me to go through the numbers with him. How much was I willing to pay monthly? (Tangential, given that I'm planning on going through the credit union). How much did I pay for my last car? (Irrelevant, since again, credit union). What was I planning on putting down? (I could not make myself clearer). Finally he went over to sales and came back with a number that was $2500 more than what was online. Aha! That price made more sense for the car that I drove. We argued about it a bit but I knew it was futile - it's a clear bait and switch. No matter, since I'm not pressed to buy a car immediately, but it would have been nice to have skipped the whole experience altogether to go to a real dealership.

Went to this dealership this morning. After I'd called ahead and talked to Quinn the sales associate before I got there he told me my car was available, but after my sister and I had got there and he had gone through running my credit he told me the 2009 Nissan Sentra was sold. Even after he told me over the phone I was approved for financing for that particular car I wanted he even proceeded to tell me that their bank would never have approved me anyways because of how old the car was and my credit (even though my mom who has great credit was co-signing). As we walked out every manager in the place was trying to sell me some other car that was newer and WAY more expensive. We walked. This is nothing more than bait-and-switch sales tactics. Don't bother with these people they are crooks!

I thought in this digital age we've enough market information about cars, so buying a used car should be more transparent affair. Boy was I wrong! Among my many choices I had one car in mind from Car America. It was a small Ford SUV. The price was posted on their website for few days. I called about the car and made an appointment. The initial encounter was friendly and took a test drive as well. When we sat down for negotiation, it was a different picture. I indicated to the salesperson that I'm responding to their web offer. He pretends not to hear me and quotes me a price $3000 above their advertised price and then offers to negotiate with me. I insisted on the advertised price for the start of price negotiation. He pretends he doesn't know about the price and asks me to find it for him. I was little amused that I've to show him what his dealership is advertising to people. Anyway, I show him their website. Then he tries to explain that it was a 24 hour special they are running. But the price was listed on their website for more than a week! Obviously, he was lying. I thought it would be rude to point out that he was lying. My salesman is already red faced and agitated. I offered to negotiate on the price they advertised but he demands another $800 extra because I had cash money for the purchase. His explanation was that they would lose another $800 by not financing the car. I made my offer anyway. He quickly got up and showed me the door. This is a dirty trick in used car business. They advertise a bait price to bring you in and sell you at their terms. Be aware.

You will do yourself a favor by staying away from them. Bait and switch is their strategy. They advertise low prices online and keep adding funny fees when you sit down to negotiate with them. Go through the reviews. There are too many fake 5 Stars, but there are many real customers complaining the same thing - bait pricing and hidden fees.

Ive bought my two cars here, the first one was in 2015 the people working there at that time were fair to assist me to buy a car I could afford, but 2018 was a bad experience cause all they want was to sell the car an not think of my budget, I did buy a car but I will never go here again to buy any car. I recommend everyone to be very careful when u go here.i tried to trade in the first car I bought here but they said they couldn’t take it which is a lie, after they checked it they knew it was in a good condition but all they want was for me to buy another car.

This place is a sham! Their parking lot is bare. Their cars are not clean. Their salespeople are uneducated, rude, bad communication, ditzy, and suspicious. No one would sit down with me. I had money in my pocket and needed a car that day. They totally ignored me and the lady that did talk to me lied about features on the car. Then the other car I was interested in, they refused to show it to me saying it was being worked on in the garage. What!! Why would you try and promote a car that is broke? And how broke is it that you had to refuse a motivated buy form just "looking" at it. Seems suspect! STAY AWAY. THIS PLACE IS A FRONT!!! FOR SOME OTHER KIND OF BUSINESS MAYBE!!!

It's not often that we write one of these reviews but after our smooth buying experience yesterday, we felt the need to. The staff went above and beyond to get us in the car we wanted.
