This review is for the parts department. I have dealt with them in person, and over the phone. Normally, having to call the dealer for a part means the part is very hard to find in the first place. I have had only great experiences dealing with Bob Bell for Kia parts. Not only are they cheaper than many of the other dealers in the area, they have many of the parts that I have needed in stock.

The service I experience at Bob Bell is extremely inferior to the story my sales rep spun for me when I bought the car. The service dept. never answers the phone when I call. I resort to calling the sales dept. (always answered on the 1st ring) and ask their help in connecting me. “Free oil changes for the life of the vehicle” however, this service is no longer offered on the weekends, so if you have a weekday job, you will need to take a half day off. Today I brought my car in for a 9:30am appt. A very pleasant young man greeted me and voluntarily told me he would “have me out of there by 10:30”. I was still waiting at 11:00, listening to the Muzak competing with the non-stop HDTV and the screaming children who were expressing the frustration that the adults in the room were repressing. I finally walked back to the service dept. at 11:15 and saw several employees with their heads bent over cell phones. After standing there for several minutes, a very nice man approached me and shortly thereafter my car was magically ready. There was no explanation or apology for the delay. No “thank you” when the keys were handed to me or any direction as to where I could find my vehicle. I would say that if Bob Bell offers you a fair deal on the purchase of a new car, by all means take it, but don’t let the spin of a “world class service dept.” sway your decision. Jiffy Lube provides the same service in 1/5 the time, with courtesy and even vacuums the car and changes the service reminder sticker on the windshield.

Do not take the trip after calling this dealership, they will tell you anything to have you drive to them. They offered me one price over the phone, similar to the advertised price online and guess what... They did the old bait and switch. On top of that, this dealership charges more than twice as much for labor as a dealership in Gaithersburg MD when I called about installing the same part I needed. And as far as the special warranty/service package they offer, it's only honored by BobBell and from my experience with trying to get things fixed or taken care of by that additional warranty... nothing. I was stupid for purchasing my car there. I hope you do not make the same mistake. Although this is my first Kia, I do like it, just not this dealership. If your used to Toyota service and sales departments, you will be in for a surprise with Bob Bell!

On vacation and picked this place based on decent reviews and location to fix a headlight. We called ahead to ensure they could get us right in and it would be quick. 2 hours later, yes two, they finished. 2 hours to change a light bulb. Seriously?!? This is an awful place, BEWARE! Plus, it cost $115...for a light bulb. Double what we've ever paid for the same service, which usually takes a half hour on this vehicle.

After a couple horrible experiences at another kia dealer, I decided to try out Bob bell. While I didn't intend to spend as much as I did during my service visit, it was nice that the extra cost and service was legitimately needed. The customer service was amazing. Unlike other dealers that tell you it's only going to take 2hrs and leave you hanging for 5hrs, it actually only took 2hrs. I appreciated that attention and explanation of what was needed, no condescending tone or round about answers for once. I will definitely be going back for my next service. I could immediately tell a positive difference in my car on the drive home.

Firstly, my wife and I were searching for a new car and have worked with 2 other dealerships over the past week. We called Emerson over at this Bob bell Kia location. He responded to us on his day off and was very responsive and informative. The next day we came down to the dealership and never had such a great experience buying a car. Customer service is definitely his aim and he hits the mark. He played with my child, he was warm and friendly, and was extremely concerned with making sure we happy with our vehicle that we were chosing and offered us options based on our preferences. Then we were handed of to Helen who was the finance manager who bent over backwards to get us not only approved for the car we wanted, but at the payment we wanted. Lastly we were handed off to the in house insurance agent Richard whom we had some great conversations with and had a great time. Overall we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I NEVER write a review on Google for ANYTHING. I felt compelled to write this because our experience was that exceptional. Please buy your car here they deserve your business. -Michael & Erin

It was my first time there. Making the appt. for a factory recall, I couldn't get anyone to call me back to answer questions. Had a hard time figuring out where the service department was. Had to ask two people for directions. Signage is very sparse. I was told I could get a free rental and that someone would come get me from the waiting area, but no one ever did. So I sat there the whole time. They told me my car was done and then it took them 40 minutes to bring my car around so I could leave. On the up side, they didn't try to hard sell any of their suggested maintenance/repairs and everyone was very courteous and nice. Despite that last part, which I hold in very high regard these days, I probably won't be back.

I only come here now after a less than good experience with Glen Burnie. My 2015 optima had engine issues. The service advisor Heather contacted me quickly and let me know what was wrong with the car and that it was covered under warranty and had jim set up a complimentary rental. Everyone was awesome. Overall experience here was great.

Just bought our 7th Kia from this dealership. The last 6 were bought from the same salesman, Ed Purcell. Ed is wonderful at what he does and truly cares about his customers. He has a vast knowledge of all the cars he sells and takes his time to listen to his customers as to what their needs or wants are for their new vehicle. I drove a longer distance through the tunnel to come to this specific Bob Bell service department, as I purchased my vehicle here. I had an appointment scheduled at 12 noon for an oil change and to replace a turn signal light bulb. I arrived on time to my appt. It is 2:40pm and I am still here waiting (with my infant child). I was told at 1:30pm they'd take my vehicle soon. I've seen other customers come and go through the service department (was later told they were "quick lane" customers just here for an oil change). Why schedule an appointment if you cannot service my vehicle remotely near that time? Edit: After requesting to speak with someone given this outrageous wait time, I was led back to the service department. There was confusion on their end about the status of my vehicle (as they didn't realize it was parked right in front of us, apparently ready to go). I was finally checking out just before 3pm, three hours after my arrival and scheduled appointment time. This was an extremely negative, disappointing, and inconvenient experience.

I had shopped for this soul at 2 other dealerships, my experience at your place was so different, after much thought I came to the conclusion that the difference was the way in which I was treated. I received a call first from a woman that listened to my situation, (Bad Credit) that didn’t change anything in the way she treated me (Sarah) I decided to go to you with the hopefulness that this would be the place that I could finally get a car. There were things going on that I knew nothing about (my previous bankruptcy) I was assigned Stephanie, I can’t say enough to know that she get the credit she deserves, respect was answer for me, not once did she make me uncomfortable for any of my past. She’s a great salesperson, Kia should do everything to hold on to her, she ran around and did everything possible to get me that new lease I needed to get. I was very aware of the process by which credit is granted. I knew that I’d probably have to get a co-signer. at the end of all this, I have my new lease, I thank all the people that made this possible from Sarah on the phone to Stephanie and finally to the young man (manager).that put it through, I’ll be back in three years, God willing, to get another car.

My wife and I went to Bob Bell Kia of Baltimore on Eastern Ave and was fortunate enough to work with Ariene Miller and Ed Purcell. They both were courteous, honest, and respectful of our time. We purchased a 2016 Sedona and a 2016 Soul. Prior to ending up at Bob Bell Kia of Baltimore, we visited multiple Kia dealerships in the greater Baltimore area and after this buying experience, wouldn't go anywhere else. I required an oil change and this establishment is the closest to my domicile so i took a chance. I was pleasantly surprised with the staff. I didnt feel rushed or just like some number. Theres ample space for several cars to be worked on simultaneously and the amount of time that was predicted for services was 10 minutes less with the addition of a tire rotation. I did some work while i waited. They have a kuerig, tea and bottled water set up along with some snacks (i choose the granola bars). The wifi was quick but in truth i didnt see any heavy lap top users other than me at the time. My vehicle was not washed or vacuumed, but that may be a east coast versus west coast (in san diego & Sacramento this was part of the service) difference. No military discount either, but again this could be the delta between coasts. OVERALL i believe i may have found my new KIA shop for MAINTENANCE needs, going forward. I am a transplant from elsewhere so having a reliable service is EXTREMELY important to me.

I have to say I have never had a bad experience in regards to the service department at Bob Bell Kia. My Service Consultant has always been Heather Traynor, she is always so knowledgeable and helpful when I bring my car in for service. She always puts the customer first and even took time to look through a binder in my vehicle to see if I had the correct warranty information. When trying to juggle schedules (career, children's school events and sports) I can always depend on Bob Bell for transportation to and from the service department without having to rearrange to much in our day to day lives. I know all cat dealerships are deceptive but this experience takes the cake. I was shopping for a new kia and called in about a vehicle listed on their site for $12,699. The representative on the phone confirmed this price and I scheduled a time to come into the dealership. Once I arrived there no one knew I was coming and the guy I had talked to on the phone wasn't even in the office. I sit down with one of the other sales guys on the floor and he brings me a price for the vehicle of the msrp price. I explain I had talked to one of their representatives and been told that the listed internet price was the valid price for the vehicle and the sales guy came back with a "final price" $3,000 higher than the advertised listed price because "I didn't qualify for all of the discounts included in thay listed price". Well I have since talked with other dealerships and learned that the "discounts I didn't qualify for" only equal about $900 so if thay was really the case the number he should have brought back to me would have been closer to $1,000 higher than the listed price not $3,000. Huge waste of both their and my time. I know they arnt the only deceptive car dealership but because of the extend of this dishonesty and how much of my time they wasted I will never go back to a Bob Bell dealership.

I have been calling the dealership all day to purchase a Sedona Van. I told them the price I got from another dealer and my client did not want that color. They had the color of the van that she wanted, but we could never get a price. The person said, "the sales manager is on duty, but does not want to take your call, he is busy" . My irritated client waited all day to see if she could get a similiar price from them, but they did not attempt to even check to see. We went to Lanham Kia and purchase the car that same day. Night and Day service from Lanham than Bob Bell. Never in my life have I ever heard the responses from this dealership.

I give a below average because they said the express lube should take about one hour to hour and half but this is the second time it took two and a half hours. Just be honest when I ask. I told someone I could pick them up in 2 hours and I was late. Otherwise the person would of made different plans or I would of come back when I had more time.

Great experience purchasing a new vehicle, New vehicle price and top value for my trade in, but that’s where it ended. Vehicle was in a serious accident about 18 months later. I had it towed to where I purchased it thinking that it was a logical place to have my vehicle repaired. The front and drivers side was damaged in the accident and it took several weeks longer to repair then I was originally told. They blamed it on part delayes from recent snow storms. I went with it. Finally, they told me my vehicle was ready and I went to pick it up. I walked over to my vehicle and noticed body damage and yellow paint streaks all down the passenger side from the front to the rear bumper. The mirror was even broke off. I said “ what happened here?” I was told that it was existing damage and that the vehicle was like that when it came in and it wasn’t covered by insurance due to the fact that it was not accident related. I said, “ what, are you kidding me?”. Then the body shop mangager came over and told me “don’t even try it”. I was like, “wow”, you guys wrecked my truck and this is bull. The manager then called me a “f@&$ing lier” and cursed out my fiancé who began to curse at him as well. It started to get real ghetto real quick. We complained all the way up to the GM and they would not accept responsibility for the damage to my vehicle. The GM was very smug and errorgant and tried to say our only option was to make another insurance claim and pay another deductable. They basically tried to strong arm us into that option, so I called my insurance agent up and told him the situation. He listened and then told me that he had a 360 panoramic picture of the vehicle at the location when he did his original adjustment. The picture showed no damage on the passenger side. He sent me the picture and I downloaded it to my phone and made an appointment with the GM. We arrived and sat at the big table and about 15 minutes later the GM showed up. He was still looking a bit smug about the situation. We showed him the email from the adjuster with the pictures and we watched the GM put his head in his hands in total embarrassment. He then stormed out of the office. We heard him screaming at someone and door slamming. The room shook. Such an unprofessional situation, but a picture is worth a thousand words and it saved me money. They eventually took responsibility for the damages when I threatened to sue. Turns out a lot boy must have damaged the vehicle. The yellow paint streaks on the damaged side is from 1 of the many pilons in the parking area on the premises. Weeks later, After a long day I went to pick up my vehicle, I was early and was waiting in my vehicle with my seat reclined resting my eyes. When someone opened a car door into my passenger side. My windows were tinted and they couldn’t see me, but I could see them. He must have thought no one was in the vehicle. He just continued about his business and walked inside.It was a sales person who parked next to me and he dinged up my door. He went into the dealership. I followed him in and caught up to him and said” Hey, you just opened your door into my car, the red one out there”. He looked at me as if I had three heads. I told him I was in the vehicle and saw him do it. I told him, don’t worry about it, but I just needed to call him out. A few minutes later I was walking back to my vehicle to get my wallet and I heard the sound of metal on metal. I looked over to the body shop building and noticed a lot boy backing a customers vehicle up into a chain link fence. The fencing scraped up the bumper and a portion of the trunk before he realized it and pulled forward. I watched him get out of the car and scratch his head, look around, and just walk away much like what just happened to me. You can’t make this stuff up! . unbelievable...I did get my vehicle back, but I had to bring it back a week or two later to fix a bent hub. Bottom line, buy a vehicle here and then transfer every thing out and never come back.

I was looking into getting a newer car. I got opinions from a few people in reference to where to go. I was told "Go to Bob Bell Kia at Eastpoint, Ask for ED Purcell, He will be straight up with you and work with you the best that he can." So I came in just to see what options I had. He gave me a lot of info about credit, etc. ED and I did some searching and He found the car that was perfect for me. A Great find, I am a very happy girl! Rather ironic considering I just spend more than $500 to replace my front brakes this morning. My car has only 31039 miles on it. Purchased new from Bob Bell June 2015. I don't drive it very much and always carefully. Additionally, the two hour job was closer to 5 hours, due to a lack of communication from the service department. I am not a happy customer.

Made an appointment for new tires and when I arrived the mechanic told me that they did not have the correct ones in stock. They did not communicate that to me beforehand so that I did not drive all the way up there even though they knew when I was coming, why I was coming, and what kind of car I had. After much resistance they were able to find the correct ones that day. I bought and had the tires put on by them and had to return the next day to get one replaced as it was faulty. A few months later I get a flat and go to get it fixed and I am without my wheel locks. The mechanic (from another establishment) had to charge me extra to break the wheel and I had to return yet again to Bob Bell to receive my wheel lock key (which they lost since they were the last ones to work on my wheels) or have all of them broken. They would not give me new wheel locks free of charge even though they caused the mishap. A horrible experience every time I've had to deal with them.

Let me start by saying my credit was poor at best, many other dealerships tuned me down, Once I meet John Sandilas at Bob Bell Kia in Baltimore my luck changed, the staff at Bob Bell found away not only to get me financed but also go a step further. I wasnt forced in buying a car I really didnt want. I was able to buy MY car, 2012 Kia Optima Ex with the Tech Package, fully loaded. Thank you Bob Bell Kia, I am a customer for LIFE....

Great customer service but the Kia side of the building needs a little more love and care. No coffee or water, kinda feels like the step child of the building. The Nissan side was nice and inviting. Everyone overall was nice and attentive.

Bought a car from these guys. I don’t feel I got the best deal but hey that’s my fault for not negotiating a bit better. The real reason they are getting 3 stars is because the deal was kind of plagued from the get go. The sales guy messed up on my home state and so they offered me a deal with taxes for another state. So when we put in the correct state the payments were completely off. We corrected the issue, however, then the finance guy did such a sloppy job printing the contract that two weeks later I got a call from them saying I needed to sign a new contract because the bank had rejected the original one. It was kind of an inconvenience because I was going on a trip and now had to make sure he paper work was signed and returned promptly. And lastly, my permanent tags took 3 months to arrive. However I will mention that the buying experience wasn’t bad, and they do have good people working for them.

Finance mishaps but overall dealership is recommended! I would have given 5 stars, but it's been 26 days, and DC-DMV still does not have my title, and I cannot register my vehicle. Dinesh was a good sales person, offering extra advice and I highly recommend him. The process was smooth, and the dealership even assisted by having someone drive my old vehicle back to DC, while I drove away with my new sale!! They also supported Breast Cancer and Cancer awareness month! For many like myself who lost a loved-one, it felt good to know they care, as they too suffered loss. The financing is not going smooth, so I had to take away one star, but otherwise everyone there, even finance has provided good service.

3 cars. Fabulous service but the last few years...not good. I won’t go back too far but, let’s just say, a major issue was diagnosed as one thing, turns out, it was a battery, not what the said. I digress. Went in last night for the evening quick lube, as I typically do and was rushed through. A tire with a clear slow leaked was checked, found nothing. Hmmmm. I asked about my fog light, I was told “oh, they didn’t notice”. 4 items were tagged to be fixed (minor issues during the 21 point inspection) received a print out, not certain if the items were fixed, or if they want my to address it on my next visit, or what. I hZve the free oil changes so when my invoice said, “you pay $52.58” I wasn’t certain what was going on. Zach Brocki rushed me out, said I didn’t need to see the cashier, even though the invoice clearly says “ please pay this amount $52.58. I suspect it was all because I pulled up at 7:25 because Zach made clear when I arrived, we close at 8. Never heard that before. Sign says “last car taken at 20 minutes before closing”. This coupled with prior issues that I didn’t contact Bob Bell about but clearly should have makes me think there are new crew members. Bob Bell is in my list of bests dealers and I have always experienced a high level of customer service and vehicle care. Not do much in the last few years. That said, I’ll double back next week (about 7:pm) to find out what’s what. I still love Bob Bell, but please get it together. Regards, E
