I set up an appointment for a total checkup bumper to bumper for my 2016 Volt that I just bought wanted to make sure everything was A1. I drove 4 hours from Madawaska to get to your shop at the appointed time. I was told there were six recalls that needed to be done on the Volt 2016. They put the car in the yard and only moved it in the garage an hour later. I was not allowed to observe what the mechanic was doing to the car so how am I to know that the recalls were taken care of and the inspection was done? One hour later they tell me the car is ready. In one hour the people at the shop were able to take care of six recalls and do a bumper to bumper inspection? I do not think so if they did I never got any paperwork telling me my car is in A1 shape. I was watching from outside the garage and one of your personal came over and told me I could not be there because it was dangerous and if I insisted on staying there that I can take my car out and go elsewhere. Well if I can't go in the garage or even stand outside the garage WHY DON'T YOU SET UP CAMERAS AND MONITORS SO WE CAN WATCH WHAT THE MECHANIC IS DOING TO THE CAR? Do you have something to hid are you not proud of the work your mechanics are doing? This car when new sells for over $40,000.00 so I believe that I have a right to watch my investment and not trust that the right thing will be done!

Bought a truck with 64000 miles and at 66800 the right front ball joint was bad. And they told me i was out 77 miles to have it fixed at their cost. wants me to pay 100 deductible on my extended warranty when i havnt even gone a oil change yet clearly inspection item missed. Had to argue to get a loaner vehicle. Not impressed will go to central maine Chevy for now on. Check ur own vehicles on their lift before you buy one used.

Sales people were great but service department left much to be desired. Ignored when I arrived and additional charges added after price quotes. Service manager blamed staff each time. In your previous statement about my Trailblazer extended warranty coverage and implying that is up to me to make a choice about the policy that I bought. DON"T BLAME ME about your extended warranty programs and implying that I made a bad choice! I specifically told your rep that I wanted the best program from your dealership for my car. She told me that I bought the best program for $1500. I WAS NOT informed of other programs that were available to me. Another doctor friend was with me and was witnessed the entire conversation. Your statements are inaccurate about my transaction on this above web note and I threw $1500 away for nothing. HOW can I make an informed choice and make a right decision when your sales rep does not explain all of these different options to me? If I asked for the best program for the dealership, then aren't the other programs by default secondary and of lesser value? Why would I buy them? If I asked for the best coverage program, I considered that I bought top line coverage for my car. I consider this your fault, not mine!Perhaps be more honest and specifically list what is covered and what is not succinctly and not in a half inch thick document. That would be a good business practice for you to adopt. In medicine, that is called informed consent.I want my patients to know what to expect and why. I found out the hard way and lost $1500 needlessly.

Although the salesman was nice enough to give me another coupon, I would have liked to have been called and rescheduled, rather than having to make two trips. Nothing beats taking your car to get serviced and being told by one representative that "the technician says this will fix it it.." and then be told days later by someone else that "oh, that might fix it, but the REAL fix will cost twice as much." I drove up to the quick lube door, it rolled up and the service tech came out. I told him I wanted an oil change. I got out, he got in and drove my Equinox inside. I sat down and read the daily paper for ten minutes and they told me the car was ready. I paid and was on the road again. How could you beat it? Oh yeah, and I had a $10. off coupon from Quirk's.

Went there to have keys made. They said that my car had some recalls. Said it would not take, very long. I said OK. It took hours and they loaded the wrong recall update. Still has the same wrong update, didn't go back to the old one. Over two years!!!

I have wanted the opportunity to compliment JODY FARLEY of the Medium Truck Department for his consistent professionalism, courtesy, expertise, and patience. My Silverado 2500 (with plow) occasionally encounters an issue with the plow gear- always during the coldest, nastiest storms, of course. Jody has always given me a cordial greeting, asked for a detailed explanation of the problem, actually COME OUT INTO THE STORM if necessary to evaluate the problem, and as often as not had the trouble resolved within a few minutes or, if not then, within no more than a day or two. A couple of days ago (2/8 or 9/'16) I decided I JUST HAD TO HAVE a cutting blade ASAP. I expected to have to wait a week or so-- understandable; the shop was very busy, but the blade was on within 15 minutes. Despite being constantly besieged by customers in that small office, Jody maintains his professionalism, always giving me and all other customers I've noticed him dealing with his focused, effective attention. Excellent service. Each and every time.

I've been having my car serviced here for years, always had a pleasant experience until the last year. Over the course of many months last year I brought my vehicle in with it making a loud rattling noise, I was told that "it's just an Equinox thing" they topped my oil off (3 separate times) and sent me on my way. In December of 2015 I ended up with CARBON MONIXIDE POISONING because it had ACTUALLY been a broken exhaust manifold, thankfully they eventually replaced it for nothing after they realized how in the wrong they were, and how sick I was. Again, I recently was in because I had some emergency lights come on, I was told after having a "diagnostic test" done that I was going to need a New Throttle body in my 2011 Chevy Equinox, costing over $500 for the part and then whatever the labor would cost afterwards as well. After taking it to another recommended mechanic it was discovered that the throttle body was just DIRTY and needed to be cleaned. Thanks for almost charging me close to $1,000 for a part that is perfectly fine and needed to be cleaned off. Will NOT be bringing my vehicle back here any longer, no longer trust this service department!

Went for extended warranty covered service (new gas tank), They took half a day to do this simple job. I knew that the pump had a small evap leak. They proceeded to break the plastic on the pump and told me I had to get a new one (a measly 450 dollars). When I declined, they threatened that the car would blow up. I told them it won't even leak if I don't overfill the tank. Bought one off Amazon for 50 bucks, installed it myself, and will never darken their door again, for anything, ever. Oh, and thanks for making my nine year old son worried that the car is going to blow up.

The first appointment I had made, the scheduler did not take down my VIN even though I asked if it was needed since the vehicle was new to me. I showed up on my appointment day and they had no parts available for my ignition cylinder recall. Maury handled this in a very polite manner and called me once my parts were there and built. I then scheduled my new appointment date. For the new appointment I had a recall scheduled for the ignition cylinder and I added on an oil change service. Maury was off for my newly scheduled appointment date. When I got my vehicle back the plastic panel over my steering column was not even put on all the way, leaving the column exposed so I had to readjust it and snap that back in and the oil change light reset had not been done either. Overall, it was not the best experience or first impression made to a new customer at your dealership.

A mire $900 dollars is what stood between us and I am sure that is immaterial to them, so now I am taking my business elsewhere. A shame they couldn't be more flexible.

While on my way to Bangor, I had a rear tire blowout. The problem encountered was that the spare tire could not be lowered from under the truck bed thereby requiring a tow from Newport at near midnight. Not having an appointment, Quirk employees addressed my issue, did the replacement of the spare tire mechanism, noted a cracked fan belt, and a recall notice. They fixed it all much quicker than I anticipated. The service was much appreciated.

We drove to Bangor from Nova Scotia yesterday. Just as we arrived in Bangor, we started having problems with our brakes. Went in to Quirk Chevrolet, and they did the repairs that afternoon. Their labor prices continue to skyrocket out of control. Took my car wife's car in because the door open sensor was malfunctioning. They said that yep it needed to be replaced and that'll be $118 please. Then, when they actually replaced the sensor, which took them LESS than a half hour, they charged us another $135+ in labor saying that was the book labor amount. It's getting so difficult to find an honest service and repair shop. It is time to find another service station. Quirk will be the last place on my list, if it even stays on the list.

We have done business with the Quirks for over 35 years. But Carl Spencer and I will never step foot in an establishment owned by them again. We had our 2015 Dually towed from NY and had them put a brand new diesel motor in it because we trusted them to do it right. They even called and said if we didn't put new injectors and turbo it wouldn't have a warranty. At this point we said we want all new parts put on this new motor nothing used that could void the warranty. Stood out back when we picked up the truck and Carl shook hands with Jack Quirk himself saying if anything happens you need to get it back here and we'll fix it that it's got a 100,000 mile warranty it's all brand new. Well Carl broke down in Ohio at 87,000 miles and about $5,000 later we found out they put the old injector pump on the new motor. The pump had 422,000 miles on it. So now Jack wants us to pay another $5,000 for labor and buy a new injector pump. Which should have already been in there. The motor started at 13,000 cost another $4,000 for new parts and we had no problem spending the extra for a complete new motor with new parts. Jack's response was we put used parts in these jobs all the time it's not covered. So people beware and make sure you don't pay for things that should be covered under warranty. I took my Dodge a while before this to their Dodge dealer who I bought the truck from and it needed a noc sensor they tried to charge me over $300 for that part and come to find out it was covered by warranty. because the Florida dealer changed it twice afterwards for the same part and never charged me a dime and gave me a loaner for a week a brand new truck.so I wouldn't trust any of the Quirks as far as I could throw them now. As for their response to contact them they never answered the phone or called back. They are liars and thieves.

Be careful when buying an Extended Warranty from Quirks. I bought a brand-new trailblazer and paid $1500 for an all-inclusive warranty. The salesperson explained the warranty to me and told me what was covered but things like light bulbs tires batteries and belts were not. Two years later, there was something wrong with my steering and I brought my car to Quirks for repair. The service technician told me that this problem was not covered under my warranty and that I had to pay an additional $200 for repairs. He told me I should've bought another warranty instead that would have covered this repair. So a word of caution that the sales reps don't always give you the best information or the best deal.

I took my 2019 Traverse that I purchased from this dealership in for an oil change and tire rotation. I was surprised that Chevy is only giving 1 oil change with the purchase of a new vehicle! We have always purchased GMC products and usually had 2 oil changes provided. I was also surprised that I had to pay for a tire rotation on tires that were bought on the new vehicle purchased through this dealership. Since I purchased the tires at the dealership on the vehicle I would have assumed that they were covered for rotations. It seems that GMC is slipping in their level of customer care:(

Brought my car in to have all four struts replaced. Quoted a price of $625. Which was high, but not unreasonable. When I get the car back I found only the front struts were replaced. At a cost of $199.99 each per strut. These are cheap Monroe struts that can be bought anywhere for $70-$80 (and for $65 from Amazon). There's markups and then there's markups. The dealership did offer to replace the rear struts at a "discount" - still marked up over $60 each per strut. Plus installation. So I could end up having all four struts replaced for around $1100-$1200. No thanks. Instead I decided to treat this as a learning experience. The lesson I learned was to never go back to any Quirk dealership. For anything. Ever.

had to take my car into the dealership, when going down the interstate and my service stabiltrak came on. When I arrived, the service person who helped me (Garrett Hayman) was very rude, he told after getting my car in, as I explained to him I was in a hurry as I was on my way to a Dr appointment. He said he would take it right in, Once he got it in, he came and told me it would be a couple of hours before he could get it in, as nothing showed up on the computer for codes. I asked for a loaner car to get to my appointment. He rudely told me they didn't have any as they had 22 appointments today and I had no appointment and nothing is showing up. After waiting for an hour and ten minutes I went to see how close it was to being ready, he told me it would be at least another hour or so. I told him that I needed to be out soon, as I still had another hour to get to my appointment and I am going to be late. He rudely said well I don't know what to tell you. Being frustrated and nothing I can do about it, I called my Dr and explained the situation, thankfully the said they could see me as soon as I got there. After another half an hour, Garret came out and told me my car was fixed and I need to get new tires and 4 wheel alignment. So I asked to get the work order for my records. He told me it would take 10 minutes to get it and he would mail it. I told him it was unacceptable and I wanted it. He rudely said well You are in a hurry. I told him it didn't matter now, I was already late. He still wasn't going to get it for me. I asked to speak to the manager. When I got in there and explained the situation, he went to go get the work order. And then he said he would take my car out for a test ride to make sure it was ok. He came back and said my car was not safe, so he would get me a rental car. When I got back from my appointment, he told me there was nothing wrong I just needed new tires and an alignment, which I didn't understand since he said my car wasn't safe. And gave me another copy of a work order. Being Frustrated I just left, hoping the light didn't come on again. When I got home, I looked over the work orders. The first one that I got from Garrett Hayman, had no details of what was performed on my car. Instead, he had typed in Be Careful with this customer, she is VERY unstable. I phoned Quirks and spoke with Tom Quirk, who said to me, that if he hadn't given that to me, I would have never known, and this is how they handle customers who are not happy. He said I didn't have to deal with them I could take my car to another dealership!!!!! I have to return to have work done on Nov 8th, after going elsewhere to get my tires and alignment, I was told the camber bolt needed to be replaced. Hoping it will be covered by the warranty, at there is only 36,000 miles on my car. I am hoping that my experience will be much better. :/

I had bought 2 cars at this dealership. I feel that I got screwed both times. Wouldn't go back. The parts department employees were disrespectful, and slow. They make you feel like they are doing you a favor when actually, the customer is keeping them working. Quirk has gotten too big and impersonal. We will not shop there again.

We dealt with a salesman named Chris in the Chevy part of Quirk's. He was great! He didn't rush me, or try to push something on me that I didn't want. He was patient, showed me several different options based on what I wanted, and had a great personality as well. He made it so comfortable for me to buy this vehicle, and answered every question I could think of. Some of the men here tried to push vehicles on me that I didn't want. But Chris was great. I definitely recommend going here if you are looking to buy a vehicle, and ask for Chris C. You won't be sorry!
