Bought a new Outback and brought it in for its first oil change and tire rotation. It started to develop a fluttering noise and at the second oil change/tire rotation, I brought it to their attention. I was completely ignored, the issue was never written up and never addressed. She said "everything looks good." The flutter got worse. Found out the tires were never balanced and because of this , I need new tires after less than 16,000 miles. They agreed to cover it 50/50 AND ALL FOR A SCREW UP ON THEIR PART!!! I intend to put new tires on the car and take them to small claims and file a complaint with the Maine Attorney General. UPDATE: Subaru has agreed to replace all four tires, balance and alignment. I am pleased with the outcome.
Tony was amazing and helping me find a car. As soon as I went in there, one of the first things that he said was, “I have the best car that I just found and it would be great for you!” He was just reallt helpful and informative. David and the gentleman that helped me with the paperwork were very helpful, as well. It’s very rare when you find a place where all of the employees are happy and want to help you with whatever you need, but this is one of those places and it is amazing.

I bought my car last year from Dustin and it was a great experience. I was in and out in less than 3 hours. After I had to get a new car again this year, I immediately emailed Dustin to make an appointment to come back. The guys at Patriot are extremely conscious of your time while still taking time to listen to your needs, and they come to bat for you when it comes to figuring out financials. Dustin is super up front about everything and gives you his honest opinion when you ask. If you hate the paperwork part, Bob has that covered- he gets it done fast. He's another up front guy that helps you make sure your ducks are in a row. Last thing: they're dog friendly, and everyone was happy to see my dog with me. Overall, the guys at Patriot make the whole process super easy and fast- there isn't much more you could want when you want to get a new car. Take my car here whenever I am in maine and need service, the team is great and i have never had a bad experience. Parts also, had my tow bar installed here was a smooth process from the order to the install appointment.
Service is excellent! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I worked with Wayne on two occasions this week and he is great at going through the details of the visit and explaining what was done. He also made sure that I knew there was water and dog treats available for my dog, wo accompanied me on the visit.

My husband and I are very pleased with the service we have received at Patriot Subaru. I got pulled over for an expired inspection sticker. I pulled into Patriot Subaru to get my car inspected. Subaru bent over backwards to help me. I didn't have my car registration in the vehicle, so I had to go home and get it. When I tried to leave, I couldn't get my car to change gears. It was stuck in park. The attendant came out and helped me to get my car to shift gears, and I was told Subaru would look at what was causing the car not to shift gears when I brought the car back. To make a long story short, we had to leave our car with Subaru, and we were given a loaner car at no cost. Thanks to Subaru's great service, my husband and I were never inconvenienced. Thank you Subaru for making our problem Subaru's problem, so we could live our life without worrying about how to get me to work or what we would do all week-end without a vehicle.

While traveling through Maine, my outback started acting up, without an appointment we stopped at patriot SUBARU. The ladies in the express service were more than helpful, inmediatly they found the problem and fixed it. They, also, calibrated the tire’s pressure, in less than 10 minutes we were back on the road. Kudos to all of them.
I stopped in at Patriot for an oil change on my Ford F-350. Everyone in the service department was really easy to deal with and they helped me in every way possible. A very smooth and positive experience. I will be coming back for routine maintenance and recommending them to friends and family. I also had the chance to chat with a salesman named Corey Creteau while waiting for my truck. Very nice and polite individual. Great experience. Came in for an express service, but they were really busy, so Wayne took care of my visit. Him and Tyler were great to talk to while checking in, and made me feel welcome (first visit at this dealer). My wait time was in line with what Wayne estimated, and everything went smoothly. Heard their commercial on the radio and decided to go check it out. I can say the cars offered today are Superior to the Subaru I had in the 80s, they have come a long way. I was not rushed or invaded upon arrival. The door was opened and greeted. After looking around was asked if I had any questions, in reply, not at this time I just started looking for a new car. Reply was, should you have any please ask. I will be back to look again.

I've been getting oil changed and other service from this dealer since 2004. I finally found exactly what I needed (more important than what I thought I wanted), with their help. I will now be paying about the same amount for a brand new car that will be covered until my lease is done. I have had little troubles throughout the years, but there is always a person to talk things over with and get things fixed. I can't thank this crew enough, so here's a try; go trust them and see how awesome your new ride will treat you, I absolutely Love mine!
I bought my first car through Patriot, the salesman Jim did anything to sell me the vehicle, including deception, and degradation. The salesman was rude, saying things in front of other customers, such as “this is too much car for someone like you”. What is that supposed to mean? Extremely unprofessional and discouraging. Sales team explained to me that they did the spoiler on my car. The spoiler was held on by two 10mm, one 11mm, and a self-tapping screw. The spoiler has worn through the paint on my trunk lid. Patriot refuses to give me any sort of resolution to why this happened. They sold me the car with an extra exhaust, when I went to pick my new car up, I was told the mechanic took the exhaust home. Very sketchy... My car was inspected by patriot prior to them realizing I needed a third brake light to get an inspection sticker...? Mechanics fixed the sunroof they broke, and left me with grease covered fingerprints on my headliner. The headliner is tan and they are beyond obvious. Patriot refuses to take responsibility.

To the Patriot Subaru team, thank you for your incredible car buying experience! I live in Virginia but was in Maine for a few years so I thought I would give Patriot a shot based on their reviews. The local dealers where I am at could not match the deal that I got from Patriot. I saved thousands on a more well equipped vehicle than I was being quoted on where I live. Kaz Bell did this whole deal over the internet as I was deployed at the time. She was the best salesperson I have ever worked with. Very professional, knowledgeable, and understanding of what I wanted. Great job Kaz. I flew in around 1130 and was picked up at the airport by the shuttle driver, then taken to the dealership and was handed the keys to go check out the vehicle and such. After everything was said and done I drove away with my 2019 Crosstrek at about 1 45 PM and went home. I will never buy a new Subaru from anywhere else. My wife loves her new car and I get to drive it sometimes. It is our first new car since 2008 and 7th new car total. Wish I could give 10 stars! Way to make a loyal customer.
I've now owned my Forester for 3 years, and I wanted to write a note in praise of the service department. My 2015 2.5 Premium 6MT had an issue with oil consumption, which from reading the Internet forums, wasn't altogether uncommon, especially with 6MT models. After spending some time topping off the oil and hoping the seals would set in, I finally brought this to the attention of the service department. Now, from reading other people's experiences with other dealers around the country on the forums, I was worried that they'd overfill the oil prior to the oil consumption test or some other thing that I'd heard of some other less than honest dealers doing to avoid having to honor the power-train warranty. However, I had to trust them, and nothing that Patriot had ever done had caused me to specifically distrust them. But as a consumer, you always wonder, especially if you see that such tactics are not uncommon elsewhere. In any case, they changed my oil for free, and told me to return in 1200 miles, which I did. Without the least bit of fuss, they informed me that my car had indeed failed the consumption test and that they would order and install a new short block. When the parts came in, they took great care of me, and for my loaner, gave me a 2017 Outback with 3.9 miles on the clock! They had to remove the shipping plastic and everything, as it had never been driven (other than to/from trailers and container ships, etc). When I got my car back, everything was in good working order, and 6,000 miles later, I can confirm that their short block replacement fixed my problem. Courteous, no hassles, and done right. You can't ask for anything more than that.

I really appreciate this dealership’s time and energy devoted to outstanding customer service. Wayne Durgin took charge of our 2014 X-Trek issue and made sure that we got more than the service we sought; he made sure that we got the service we needed, while exploring whether that safety-critical work could be covered under warranty. It was. Wayne, please share this rave review with the technician who came in — on the Saturday before Christmas — to finish the work on our car. It has been written by marketing expert Harry Beckwith that the marketing of services is much tougher than the marketing of a product, because one is “selling the invisible.” Service is intangible at the time of purchase. It is a promise made on that purchase date to “step up” if and when service should be needed at any moment in the foreseeable future. The person or business making that upfront promise of future service at the time of sale must earn the trust of the purchaser, recognizing that they now “owe” the purchaser service that meets or exceeds that buyer’s expectations. We could have bought our Subaru elsewhere in early 2014. Another Subaru dealer a bit further up the coast did not show us their service area first — or even at all. Patriot Subaru did. Nor were warranties discussed by them. Patriot showed us two...that would run concurrently until we hit 100,000 miles, with one limited warranty uniquely designed by Patriot Subaru then continuing for as long as we owned our Subaru purchased at Patriot Subaru. Thank you, Patriot Subaru, for earning our trust repeatedly, but especially this past week. I say this after a career devoted to improving services marketing in the property/casualty insurance and nonprofit sectors. A tangible product can easily be seen as a commodity, with price and features the “driving” factors in the purchase decision. Patriot Subaru service differentiates you from the competition and earns customer satisfaction, loyalty and public gratitude like this.

I like this guy Thul in the Service Dept...he is clear and efficient. But I am always there for at least 3 hours for anything in the service area. It took me three times ON HOLD to get through this time to the Service Dept to even make an appointment and this after trying to set up an appointment on their Service Site which was frozen. BUT they do a good job on taking care of my new Subaru Forester which is why I keep coming back to them.

This is the second Subaru Forester I’ve purchased from Patriot, and I worked with Corey Creteau both times. Corey is great to work with and made the experience fun and easy. He’s always there if you need him and responds quickly to any message. I know my Subaru will last a long time (my household now has two Foresters), but when I need my third, I’ll definitely be back to see Corey at Patriot.

I will never buy a car anywhere but Patriot Subaru. They have come through for me on several occasions. Today when I was about to change the oil the transmission fluid was drained by mistake. Subaru roadside picked up my car at no charge, and they are fixing my car with no notice at all. I am about to drive to North Carolina for a funeral and they completely understood and got me in right away. Truly an amazing company. over 2 years after I bought my car and they still strive to do everything they can to help no matter what the problem. You do not get this kind of service at most places. Not to mention the car itself is amazing, i have never had to shovel around my car and I have never gotten stuck. It cost me less than $100 in fuel to drive from Maine to Minnesota. I cannot say enough nice things about the company itself, the customer service or the cars they sell. I am truly impressed. I already mentioned this but I WILL NEVER BUY A CAR ANYWHERE BUT PATRIOT SUBARU!!!!THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
By far the worst service staff I have ever dealt with. Make sure you verify everything has been checked with your used car as I drove off the lot with no engine coolant and less than half life on brakes that now have to be replaced after 6k miles. And trying to get any response/resolution has taken 8 months. Love my car just not the service around it. Buyer beware

I came in for an oil change, inspection sticker, and tires rotated and balanced. The inspection sticker was free as always. But silly me, I had neglected to update my registration. Luckily, I was able to go online and do it right there so I wouldn't have to delay my sticker. Very convenient!! I would have given 5 stars but for the fact that I was there for quite a while. The service crew is always friendly and able to answer any questions I have.

I had an urgent issue with my vehicle that made it unsafe to continue driving. Patriot Subaru got me right in, found the exact issue and had the part ordered, all within an hour. They got me on my way with a loaner vehicle and in a couple days, my car was ready to go and covered with Subaru's outstanding warranty.

I was honestly dreading buying a new car. Our experience was excellent. Stress free. Attentive, well trained staff. Everything was explained very well, and they were very patient. I would like to begin this review by saying that I wasn't in the market for a Subaru, and I walked out one Forester deep and pleased with my purchase. My salesman was Mike Avery, and to say he is patient would be an understatement. Mike worked with me on explaining the difference between Subaru and my other considerations by showing me objective consumer reports etc. He then allowed for me to walk around the lot on my own to make an independent decision. He showed me a car a bit out of a budget and one on the high end of my budget, both to be expected....After test driving the limited version, I fell in love with it-but couldn't stay much longer to process a sale. I was asked to leave a down payment, which I did -but he could tell I immediately was unsure it was the right decision. Mike said he would let me transfer my deposit or change my mind without penalty. After a night of tossing and turning, I text him in the morning saying that I I didn't think the limited model was within my budget. He came in on his day off (!!!!) and sat with me-throughout a painstaking deliberation. Although he reminded me of the benefits of the luxury model and asked me to treat myself, he never pushed me. Mike has been accessible via text and easy to work with-this experience has been thorough and helpful. My only reasons for not including 5 stars-is that I wish there had been more communication about the optional warranty and better understanding of how the price was determined. I feel confident driving this car with the warranty provided both optional and standard.

Love the express service for oil change! Got windshield wipers too. Was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Had heard rattling in undercarriage and they fixed my heat shield without charge ! These guys went above and beyond. Went in for an express oil change (couldn't swing the full service) and they were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Had a nice conversation with Alex from their service dpt. and he spent the time giving me useful recommendations on what products to use when cleaning / conditioning my car as well as the options I have for purchasing new tires. Unfortunately the stock tires couldn't make it much past 50,000 miles.. I'll be returning in the future for those new tires and any services & maintenance I need.

First. What isn't there to love about patriot Subaru! The staff here is incredible! Corey Creteau is the guy to see, when you stop in. I never felt rushed, pushed or anything, he was there when I had a question and to seal the deal. Other wise he let me look at whatever I wanted and made it an incredible experience. Everyone at patriot is great to work with. The second best thing is it's a Subaru, why would you want to drive anything but. All around, the best place to purchase a vehicle. After a mixup about whether we wanted a 2017 or 18 things went smoothly. We settled on a price and left on vacation while Matt found the car with the exterior and interior colors we wanted. When we returned to pick up the car. Matt was organized, efficient, and very personable. I would say the same about the finance manager whose name escapes me. After we left his office he went out of his way to find out if our 2006 Honda had two-stage airbags. We really appreciated that. We also appreciated the time that Adam spent with us going over the various aspects of the console. He displayed patience and thorough knowledge. He invited us to call at any time or come in and he would go over things that needed another explanation. All in all, this was a good experience, no pressure and helpfulness along the way. Highly recommended!

The work was done professionally and the service writer was excellent. The prices are a bit high on parts and labor but that is common to any shop.

We are a 4 Subaru (5 if you count my daughter in-law) family. But recently I have been very dissatisfied with the service at Patriot Subaru. The last three times I needed service they were unable to accommodate my needs in a timely manner. I had to seek service repairs elsewhere. Recently I called once again for a service repair and they couldn’t get me in for another 16 days, and that was only for diagnostics not repair. I travel for work and depend on the reliability of my car. If my car dealership can’t service me in a timely manner, why should I continue to purchase future cars there? Sorry to say goodbye

I had a killer experience with Patriot Subaru. I went in to see what I could get for my 2012 Impreza in exchange for leasing a 2019 Crosstrek. Cory helped me out and I could not have been more impressed with how he worked to get me the best deal possible and how the negative experience of buying the 2012 Impreza was erased with this great experience. Loved it here! The atmosphere and the people were very friendly and welcoming! With it being a long time since I've looked into a new vehicle, I walked in very nervous and unsure on what to expect. After meeting with Mike Avery and his team, they helped to make this experience fun and a smooth process and I felt much better walking out then when I walked in! I recommend them very highly!

Once again I am having problems with the tires on my Subaru Outback. It's making a thumping sound when I drive. Went in for an oil change and I asked for a tire rotation and balance. Spoke with someone from service; went for a ride and pointed out noise. They said the tires were feathered. Now, I don't know a lot about cars, but I do know how to do research and tire feathering is due to improper alignment. Nothing was mentioned about an alignment. I bought a service contract from them and will have basic service done, but as far as tires go - HANDS OFF SUBARU!!! I will take it someplace where they know what they are doing. Also, will NEVER consider buying another Subaru . . . . at least from Patriot in Saco. In answer to Patriot's response, I did take the vehicle to someone else who pointed out a 'flat' area on the tire. I felt it myself; it was quite distinct. I am having the tires replaced. I have not been contacted by anyone; there are no emails or messages from Glen, no phone number.

Highly recommended! Not from here but received warm, friendly and prompt service. Nobody tried to sell me anything I didn't need and they even let me know that it wasn't quite time for one of the services I came in for. Really made me feel like they were focused on ensuring I had a positive experience with my car. From my initial phone call to my service appointment, I was met with the nicest, most helpful individuals that clearly care about their customers. Not only that, but they went above and beyond to support me when a major problem was diagnosed with my Crosstrek. With that level of care and dedication, I will be a customer for life!
Back again for service, on my 16 Outback, this time 24,000 mile. As in the past three service visits, each at 8,000 miles, and nothing has changed. Very happy each time, friendly service department and they got everything right. My 3 year warranty outs out in a month so have been thinking about a closer service department for me. But why? A little inconvenient for me but hey, why switch now?

I was on vacation and discovered that my cigarette lighter adapter wasn’t working (I was using it to power my cooler). I called Patriot Subaru and asked if they could fit me in without an appointment as I was pretty sure it was a blown fuse. Wayne was very accommodating and I was in and out in 30 minutes.

I stopped in for an oil change while on a road trip. This is the first time someone had ever changed my oil for me. The entire process took 40 minutes. The staff was great.
It was very easy to make the appointment and when I arrived I was helped in less than two minutes. Everyone with whom I interacted was very courteous. And, my car was ready in less time than expected. It was an excellent experience.
The service writers (the people at the desk when you walk in) are so kind. They share knowledge and help you understand what is going on with your car. I really appreciate how they take the time to communicate and walk you through the issues. It's a wonderful feeling to know you are being treated with respect and kindness.

Brought my car in to have headlamp replace and had a recall for the Airbag . Stefani chatted with me and offered a loaner so they could get everything done at one time without having to wait for a couple hours. Found out my good latch was stuck so they fixed that also. I brought my 2015 Forester in for service on Friday and just for yucks instead of waiting in the service area went to check out the new Ascent as my son was thinking of getting one. Then I met Mike A -in the sales area. In less than an hour I had traded my 2015 - paid off my financing on that car and had a new 2018 Forester. Could not have been easier. WHAT just happened. The additional safety features and the enhanced radio/ dashboard/ bluetooth are amazing and it was sooo easy. Thanks also to Tech guru Gavin who got all the high tech going!

My sales representative, Emma, was friendly and helpful, and very easy to work with. The selection of cars was very good. For those reasons, I would recommend Patriot. There was one problem aspect. Unfortunately, the man who handled the financial portion of the sale (can’t remember his name) was forceful in his attempt to persuade me to buy the extended warranty. He said things like, “what if your power window motor broke, that would cost you $800 to fix”. I told him I was paying cash for the car and could not afford the extended warranty, but he persisted at length rather than respecting my position. This interaction was really stressful and took the fun out of buying a new car. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of lower is that I don’t want others involved in the sale to be penalized because of one person.
The long and the short of my experience with Patriot Subaru is that they completely dispelled all the negative preconceptions I had about car dealerships. I worked with Corey, an extremely knowledgeable and amiable salesperson, who made the process simple. But more importantly there was never a sense of pressure or ambivalence. The next time I'm in the market for a car I won't have to look anywhere else. I've been telling the same to anyone that will listen.

I highly recommend this dealership. We were breaking down on the road passing through. Called closest Subaru dealership and they were not at all helpful!Would not even let me talk to a service person on phone! Barely made it to Saco by 6:00PM on a busy Thursday with engine making terrible noise, stalling every few minutes and overheating!!!We were greeted by an extremely helpful staff. Not only did they get the car in and completely fix it the next day without an appointment, but the gave us a free rental car so we could get to our hotel and not disrupt our travel plans at all. Special Cudos to Brandis who gave us 5 star service when we were not even past customers and from out of town.
Every time I have any service done to my car the staff there is unbelievable. They are so extremely nice and super efficient. A big thank you to Wayne and John for making my experience such a good one!

The diagnosis began as I drove into the service center and the staff could hear the noise coming from my car. I was in and out in less than an hour with the problem resolved and at no charge. The staff is VERY courteous and excellent at explaining what needs to be or has been done. I highly recommend Patriot Subaru.

Had my Ford Edge detailed, and Shawn did a phenomenal job! Winter and my sheepdog pretty much trashed the interior over the last few months. The price was very affordable for everything they did. It looked like a brand new car! Zander was especially helpful and courteous with getting me a loaner and going over the process of the detailing.

We are from South Carolina. We had been looking for a specific 2019 Forester and were told we would have to custom order it. A month later we happened to be in Maine and thought there would be more of a selection. Even in the Northeast, the one we wanted was not available...we would still have to custom order one. But Patriot said "We know what you want. We'll order it for you." THAT is customer service! Added bonus...there was a nice taco lunch spread we were invited to share! Their Reconditioning Department Rocks! I hadn't washed my car in over a year...it was a wreck! They did such a great job inside and out that people were asking me if I had purchased a new car! Every little detail was perfect. They must have used q-tips to clean some of the vents. I'm so happy I just scheduled for the Suburban to go in! - great job guys!!
The staff is so incredibly helpful and sincere. It takes me an hour and a half to get there, but I still make the drive—even for oil changes—because I never feel as if I’m going to get ripped off. I have no doubt that I’ll buy my next car from them as well, but for now they’re keeping my current car in great shape!

I was in search of a new car. I wanted something brand new, but wasn’t sure if I would be able to get into a brand new one, as I owed more on my current vehicle than it was worth. And I was stuck in a high interest rate with a high payment. Emma was able to work with me to get me into that brand new car I wanted so much. She gathered the info, looked at how I could get the most car for the best price. She went back and forth on the phone as I sent her photos of all the info. Being a business owner, time is very precious. She was able to do everything by phone. All I had to do was walk in, grab my keys, and sign a few papers! She went above and beyond and got me into a gorgeous 2019 Outback. I cannot express how great my experience was. Overall more pleasant than you expect buying a car to be. Patriot Subaru’s friendly staff greeted me at the door with the offer of coffee, which was much appreciated on the Saturday morning I decided to buy a new car. I had done a fair amount of research prior to arriving and wanted to compare an Outback and a Crosstrek. The dealership had a wide selection of both models and Tony made suggestions after listening to what my needs and intended vehicle uses were. Note the words ‘suggestions’ and ‘listening’. I have walked out of dealerships before as soon as I’m steered or mansplained to. Patriot Subaru treats you like a human being who might actually know what they want in a car, and act like human beings themselves. Things you don’t often expect from car dealerships. I selected an Outback, which will allow me to both drive back and forth to MA frequently and climb logging roads for work with ease. Even Bob in finance provided specific suggestions based on my use of the car, which I was not pressured to select. Then Gavin expertly explained all the functions of my Subaru, so I didn’t try and do so while I was driving on the way home. I’m happy with my selection and would recommend Patriot Subaru to others. Did I mention there were puppies to visit with? And ample magazines to read? And a nice deli spread for lunch? No matter what, buying a car takes a while so snacks and entertainment are much appreciated.
Sales staff are well trained in the sales process such that after carefully listening and identifying needs, then proposing the solution that best fits those needs, a seamless close is a comfortable and rewarding experience, a win - win for all. It certainly helps to be working with a top notch product!
I brought my 2018 Subaru Forester a year ago come August and boy its been almost 17K miles of joyous driving and I have no qualms letting people know I got it from Patriot Subaru. Up until June I had Patriot Subaru license plate brackets proudly in place on both bumpers. They came with car on delivery from the dealership. That is why I was bummed the when the Maine State Inspection station wouldn't give me a renewal sticker for 2020 unless I agreed to remove the brackets. Well I needed the sticker so I agreed. The mechanic took them off because the brackets were too thick covering the registration stickers on both plates. My advice to Patriot Subaru in Maine - consider changing your bracket design if you want satisfied customers like myself to wear them on their rides. Late model Subarus should pass inspection without a hitch ;). Thank you!
