By far the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership! The salesperson I dealt with was the daughter of the owner. I was unfortunate enough to have met both of them. I research everything before I buy and knew the vehicle was overpriced from the start. So I called ahead of time and explained this to them, gave them make, model, mileage of my vehicle that is in immaculate condition. Lauren the saleswoman/owners daughter assured me they had wiggle room and could get me to the price I wanted if I came in. Oh I forgot to mention the truck I was looking at was a Crew cab and they had it listed as a quad cab so me the customer had to let them know what they had for a vehicle. Anyway, I agreed to drive 1 1/2 hrs to check out the vehicle because she said she could get me to the price I wanted. They did the typical moving #'s around from my truck to the one I wanted to buy and back. This wasn’t my first rodeo buying a vehicle so I explained to them what their vehicle was worth, what mine was worth and the fact they were trying to get me to pay the price of a new one wasn’t going to happen. Amongst all of this happening I had her "daddy" the owner come down and interrupt multiple times by talking over me and her. He quickly got tired of walking up and down the stairs and decided to just try to persuade me into buying the vehicle by literally yelling at me through a sliding window from the upstairs office. When I said I'm sorry it looks like we are just too far apart on the deal I got my keys thrown at me by the classy daughter who also continued to run her mouth as I was leaving. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism from a dealership in my life. I cannot recommend highly enough to not even considering DNK as an option to anyone looking to buy a vehicle.

My husband and I bought a Lincoln Town Car at DNK 4 months ago. Our experience at this dealer was very good. All of the employees were very polite and professional. We had to drive 90+ minutes to get there because Lincoln's are hard to find in Maine but it was worth the trip. The car is great! We love it. The owner came out and chatted with us, we were offered snacks and beverages and the bar-b-q joint on the lot is really good. We had to return today for a minor repair (condensation building up inside the headlamp). We didn't know how long it would take and at present, they do not offer loaners. However a very nice young man, Joe in the service department offered to take us to the Hi Hat Diner and come back and get us. Which was really nice. An hour later when we called him the repair was all done and they brought our car to us! Nice touch. The only two negative things I can say are probably things that are true of all used car dealerships. The day of the purchase took five hours. There's got to be a way to speed this process up. And we had hoped to get more on our trade-in. Having said that, all in all we have had a very good experience with DNK. ~

I personally did not purchase a car here as I completely know better. Have heard about their reputation. However, my daughter who is 22 years old, did not know better until it was to late. She is naïve, and this dealership saw a young inexperience, sucker coming, and they took complete advantage of it. She traded her vehicle which she owed nothing on, yet two days prior put $1,000.00 into it, and was worth much more than the $500.00 they gave her for it. Filled her with a bunch of lie's and sold her a car. They are ruthless, and will do ANYTHING to make a sale. Shame on them!!!

I purchased a truck from DNK just over a month ago. The truck has spent OVER 75% of this past month since I purchased it back at the dealership for repairs. The truck has major issues that aren’t getting resolved. I requested a refund 3 out of the 4 times my husband and I returned to the dealership for repairs and they denied me my money back. I’ve also asked to speak to the owner of DNK who has neglected to call me back or meet me on site at his office. On top of that they have not provided me with loaner vehicle. Buyers beware. Only shop here if you like to gamble.

By far the worse experience... it was a rush rush thing... didn't get the pay off right I had to come up with extra 300 above and beyond the 1000,00 I had to give... (salesman's commission) I suggested that we split the difference.... as they gave me 6500 for my car and is currently selling it for 11k right now.... Had some scratches on the hood that someone clearly didn't know how to touch up correctly used different color white... asked them to fix it... they just took touch up paint and small brush looked worse..... They held my paperwork hostage until I paid the difference of the payoff their screw up though.... I expressed my discontent and the owner shot back that i was pissing his people off and he proceeded to swear at me and call me names... i am a 53 female and I had my sister with thanks god she turned on the recorder to the cell phone and we have it all on tape his yelling and screaming and carrying on and swearing... not to mention he offered at the time of sale whiskey to his customer... what salesperson offers whiskey and sends them off in a new car..... I had to buy a la bra for the hood to cover what they wouldn't fix..... I spent more money to them which I am sure they pocketed... funny how when the sales person got the check he took a few days off.... hummmm spending the commission check.... there are a few credit unions that will not do business with them and the Better Business Bureau rates them a D A D PEOPLE!!!d Wish I had know...... Stay away....

My husband and I were looking to purchase a used vehicle, preferably a 4x4 truck or AWD SUV since my husband is a big guy and has a hefty commute. I explained to them our preferences and our monthly budget. This initial salesman was numb and lacked personality. We walked around the lot, he asked if a 2 door would work. I said yes, assuming he was talking about a regular cab truck, and he showed us a 2 door coupe! Obviously wasn't listening to a word we said. Didn't seem too interested in helping as our monthly budget was definitely tough to work with (as we were told over and over again). We then dealt with the owner who tried to fast talk us into a 2001 f150 with 180k miles (14k less than the vehicle we were planning on trading in). Kept going on and on about it being a Florida truck, no rust, blah blah blah. I could barely get a word in edgewise. Then we dealt with Walker who was initially very helpful. He showed us a nice truck, we test drove it and started talking numbers. He then proceeded to tell us that it was the best deal the owner has ever given (sure), claimed they took $4k off the top and got the monthly payment to something about $60 above the monthly budget I had told them. Told them is needed to be lower. He then asked if he got it lower would we put a down payment on that night. I said no and that we'd think about things. The price just seemed off based on what we had seen online. We went online the next day and saw the truck we test drove was listed for $13k and change and they were trying to sell it to us for $15k+. When I called the next day to ask why, Walker was unavailable and the person I talked to said it likely had to do with the destination fee which is the $1700 fee to transport it from Florida. This was never mentioned to us. They tried to sneak it into the price and quite frankly I'm not paying for them to bring it up from florida. Also, the carfax showed that it was a NY truck for half of its life before going to Florida. Was not a true southern truck. High pressure, dishonest, overpriced. Ended up getting a great truck from Quirk Chevy in Portland well within our budget.

We had the worst car shopping experience out of 10 purchases at this dealership. They will do absolutely nothing for you after the sale. The 30 day warranty is useless. The owner is a rude and sexist person to deal with and is completely unreasonable. We fought our case in small claims court and the owner lost.

I have been impressed every time I go to DNK. I am in the process of purchasing my second vehicle from them right now. Their selection is diverse well kept vehicles, I looked under half a dozen of them or so and there was no rust to be found. Everything I've ever seen on a carfax from them shows that they go out of state and bring back vehicles from way down south. The sales and finance staff are fantastic and realistic. They will work hard to find a deal for you, and each case of my purchases, I end up leaving with something better than what I thought I could get.
