Every time I leave I feel that I got the best deal possible and that he truly cares if his customers are happy. He is not pushy and gave me a chance to think my purchase over. I not only encourage everyone to go see him but my parents have also recently purchased two new vehicles from him and share my opinion. Darlings Honda Nissan Volvo is an awesome dealership and made better by sales people like Scott. If you are in the market go see him you won't be sorry. I will also throw out that Lee L. in finance was great and that their service department is also awesome.

I was looking for a car that was fuel efficient for I have a long commute to work, and it certainly does the job and does great on gas! Through the process of purchasing my new civic, the staff was prompt, professional and overall such a joy to work with. When I get my car serviced I am always satisfied, and the service team goes the extra mile making my car look as good as it did when I first drove it off the lot. The wait can be lengthy, but that’s a first world problem. If you want your car to be fixed correctly, take it here. I used to bring my car to local shops because the costs were lower upfront, but in the long run it wasn’t worth it. I may spend more here, but I get amazing warranties and awesome service done on my car. The technicians work hard and care about every small detail. My husband and I have been looking to purchase a new Honda Pilot. We had a horrible experience with the purchase of our last vehicle and vowed we would not have another experience like that. The Honda Service personnel @Darlins Honda get 5 stars!!! The are truly the best in the business. Technically competent and without question, honest, especially since what they say they are going to do they do- Mike Drumond, Honda Service Manager told me when things didn't go well for me during my first visit to the dealership, that h'e'd take care of me. I'm telling you that you can take Mike's word to the bank. The tech's there, especially, David Sametz, really knows all the nooks and crannies where problems hide and gives you very early warning that you'll be looking at a repair in the future. I take great care in maintaining my 05 Honda inside and out as its got the most precious contents in it, my Mom who's 90 and my 4 legged daughter who's 13.5yrs young- I could care less about myself but to keep them safe, I'd eat my 4 legged daughters puppy biscuits in order to pay the repaid bills. Sure, its cheaper elsewhere but you're not getting Honda trained techs and original Honda parts. Tried the alt once, used non Honda brake pads for a brake job, they ate the rotors etc in a short period of time. Was a costly lesson.Went back to Honda parts and installation, & Honda trained techs, have not had to replace my brakes in nearly 100,000 ( I don't ride them). If you truly love those you carry in your Honda in ME, then go to Darlings, ask for Mike Drumond, he'll truly take care of you and most importantly, Mike will do whatever he says he'll do and treat you honestly and respectfully because that's who Mike is.

I was nervous at first to take on a brand new car with a car payment but Kathy assured me again and again that I could handle it! An issue with my Volvo occurred while enroute to a vacation location several hours from home and my normal Volvo dealer. From my first call to Darling Volvo's service department, to the Volvo service manager, Tim Oversmith, to the after hours service technician, who took care of me when I arrived to pick up my car just under a week later, I was highly impressed by everyone's care and concern for helping diagnose and repair the problem with my car. Being able to use the Volvo Car Support Service and set up a tow to Darling's service center and then use of a clean comfortable loaner Volvo while my car was being serviced made an unpleasant situation, much easier to handle. Tim's communication with me during the time they were working on my car was exceptional and much appreciated. My car was repaired in a timely manner and returned to me clean, and back in excellent working order. Many thanks to one and all.

Over all the service adisvors are nice and I believe they thought I was and still trying to scam then but I'm not, but after going there yesterday I truly feel uncomfortable going to get service there because I tried to have a caliper that was the wrong size for my car replaced that was put on by the Augusta Location they replaced it with a new caliper that was the same size the other location put on! I do not understand if my car shows up as the bigger engine car then why put on or replace that part with the same smaller engine part? Im going to have to get my mechanic to replace it because they did not! Plus I asked them to look at the front end to see why there was noise coming from the front end but they did not look into it and if I don't have that caliper replaced at my mecanic then I have to keep buying 2 different pads and rotor sets for the rear on my car!

Had he not been so friendly, laid back and not your 'typical' car salesperson, we'd have just left. I was recommended to Scott Larabee on the advice of a friend; I was so happy I took her advice! Scott was the epitome of a "perfect salesman". He was kind, personable, and very knowledgeable. My van, which was my only vehicle, had just died the previous day so I was in a rather hurried predicament to get another vehicle. Even though he knew my situation, Scott did not attempt to pressure me into anything that I was not comfortable with either price-wise or "upgrade-wise". He listened to what I wanted and did his best to accommodate it. We made an appointment for an oil change, while we were getting service they discovered a major seat belt problem on the passenger side. The correct replacement part was not available that day, since my wife and dog were with me and we live about 2-1/2 hours from Bangor, Mike made it possible for us to borrow a loaner that day and return the following day to pick up our vehicle. He did not want us to ride in an unsafe vehicle. The entire staff is not only friendly to us and our dog, but to everyone in the waiting area. We were well taken care of!

My wife and I went in for routine servicing of her 2017 Honda Fit. This included tire rotation among oil and filter, ect... there was a slow leak in the rear driver side tire that had been noticed the evening before the service. My we mentioned it and asked if they could take a look. We had a lengthy conversation with an employee who insisted that the sensor was tripping due to bumpy roads and not a leak, even though we had put air in it twice (which I think is a really good sign that there is a leak). He begrudgingly agreed to check the tire. After an absurdly long wait for an oil change and tire rotation, we were assured there was no leak. We left. Tire light came on on the way home. It was the same tire which had been rotated to driver front. After a week of filling the tire in the mornings and evenings, due to our full schedules, we had time to take it to a local tire spot in Brewer (Tire Warehouse) where they located a huge 1/4 inch wide self drilling screw that was about an inch long in the tire. They did the whole patch job in 15 minutes from the time I walked through the door. "It was visible before removing the tire. They must not have even looked." Was the response by the tech at Tire Warehouse. What a joke. We will not be returning to Darling's for future services.

I've just returned from a 3000 mile trip without any problems, it didn't start out that way, I brought my Volvo ( 208,000 miles ) in 2 weeks before Christmas for check up and service of any problems found, they were cared for and I had a loaner while the service was being done. (good all set for the trip). Christmas day Sunday, on the way home from visiting, the SERVICE ENGINE light came on, we were to pack the car for early departure Tuesday morning. I called Tim Oversmith (Volvo service adviser) at 8:00 AM Monday explained the problem, he said I could bring the car right up, which I did. Tim and his team had the problem diagnosed and repaired. I was home by 12:30 (it's a 2 hour ride to Bangor and back) and able to pack the car that afternoon, we left as planed Tuesday morning. Thank you, Darling and team. I will buy another Volvo. When I first started looking into cars to lease to replace my old 2003 Chevy Tracker, I went to a few dealerships in the area. I found a great looking Hyundai which had heated seats and was the exact same model of my parent's car. The price of the lease was not horrible, but for the features I wanted like the backup camera, I had to pay extra. I checked out Darling's for a Honda (which is built like the Hyundai) but it had better features included like that camera. I walked inside and was greeted by Scott who was very helpful. I'm a detail person, and Scott was very detailed when he explained the features about the car. After working with him for a few weeks, I committed to that blue 2014 Honda Civic and signed the papers. Darling's was great to work with when I needed a new car and Scott was very knowledgable about the cars for sale. About a year after leasing my car, I moved out of Maine to Virginia. After owning a large SUV that was thirsty for gas, we began our search for a more fuel friendly vehicle. We spoke with several local dealers and test drove many before using the web site for Darling's. I was reluctant to request information, not wanting to start the pressured contacts via e-mail etc... but we did it anyway and are glad we did. We were contacted by Erica from Darling's and immediately given the information we needed to make a decision on a new vehicle without feeling pressured to do anymore. After the desicion to continue, Erica set us up with an appointment and salesperson who had all of our information when we arrived. Allen was the salesperson who was assigned for us and he was ready to go. He knew what we were looking for, but was sure to go over all the options we had to be sure we considered everything prior to making a decision on a final vehicle. Darling's could not give us a specific quote over the phone for our trade, but did provide a "good faith" idea of what it would be worth. They did better than we expected and stayed true to their word. Financing was great and Josh explained everything as we completed the process. Once we had purchased our vehicle, Allen was in no hurry to move us along and took the time to go over the new car and explain how everything worked. Darling's provided us with the best car buying experience we have had in over 25 years. We look forward to doing business with Darling's again in the future.

Initial service costs have been reasonable, for a dealership. They work quickly and do a good job. They provide a car wash with each service. Wait times for service are minimal. They have a comfortable waiting area, with television and Wi-Fi available.The lot is well stocked with both new and good used vehicles. The prices are fairly set, with little room for negotiations. I have found that the prices are comparable with what I would consider to be lesser vehicles. The quality of Honda is indisputable, in my opinion. I would recommend this dealership to anyone.

Obviously I am happy with the quality of Hondas, but I can't say enough about the dealership. The sales people are not pushy. They seem happy working there and all seem to get along with each other. But I have Darling's do the service on both vehicles because I feel like cars are so technical now that it makes sense to have someone work on them that knows those cars specifically. I can't say enough about my Honda Service guys and that's how I think of them,as "mine". Because when I come in needing service on my car, I know they will do their best to get me back on the road as soon as possible and treat me fairly. I travel from Maine to New York City with not one but two demanding work/travel schedules plus a lot of travel for grown children and grandchildren who often want me there ASAP. This is my second Odyssey in 10 years. Drew and Steve always do their best to make sure my car is safe and ready to roll as soon as they can. In November, I had my only "on the road" car trouble; my car lost power and barely accelerated even with the accelerator compressed to the floor. I was in Connecticut and my only thought was not "What's wrong with my car?" My thought was "Why did this have to happen here, where I don't have Drew and Steve?" I called Drew on my cell. After I described what was happening, Drew and Steve looked online and gave me information on the nearest Honda dealer and then spoke with him and me on the phone. My car was fixed that afternoon even though the dealer had a full shop. Then Drew called me back to make sure I was okay. I tell them and anyone who listens that you don't need a sales department. Your service department sells your cars. My Odyssey is 7 years old and needs to last a few more years as we are being blessed with more grandchildren. With Drew and Steve I know that it will be safe years.

I had to bring my 18 mo old fully mobile daughter with me, not only was Sarah Bowie extremely helpful she was extraordinarily patient as I hauled the car seat in and out of every car I test drove. Then when I didn't "love" any of the cars I test drove, Sarah drove us both around the lot to look at the entire used lot! I found a car, and I love it, the baby loves it and Sarah continued with her excellent customer service as she finished up the paperwork and my daughter ran around the show room. Not once did I feel like we weren't welcome, even with the stir crazy child running around at the end of everyone's day. We had some issues in month 2 with the vehicle and I reached back out to Sarah, within 48 hours we had a time scheduled for them to take a look at the car, a loaner car all ready and they brought my car back to me completely fixed (I live 2 hours away). I absolutely hate car shopping and expected it to be miserable with the baby and then to have issues and have to call up and 'complain' gave me anxiety BUT they were so friendly and went above and beyond to help me find what I was looking for. Cost me $120. For a oil change and tire rotation. With an appointment it took 1hr 30 min to get my car back. That's Ridiculous!
