Purchased my first car here two years ago and appreciated how straight forward the process was. Even more impressive, when I brought it back this week for a mechanical issue they not only recognized me but were generally concerned about why I had a problem. They set me up with a loaner easily and were communicative about parts being ordered, etc. Noticing I’d never taken advantage of my free oil change and that I was due, they offered to take care of that too. As a young female I’m used to being talked down to by mechanics & salesmen, has never been an issue with these folks. Thank you to Brendan, Declan, & crew!

We visited two other Ford dealerships in our process. When we visited Casco Bay Ford last week we were ready to finalize the deal if the test drive went well and we could come to an agreement. It seems to be commonplace these days to mistrust Automotive Service Departments. I am pleased to say that is NOT the case with Casco Bay Ford. In my first experience there, to have a general "all-point" inspection, oil change and tire rotation, it was easy to anxiously await the call for the numerous things that needed "fixed" as I've experienced with other service departments. I was extremely pleased to have all of the work done for an incredibly reasonable price and NO add on costs!! The only call was to let me know the work was done. Casco Bay has my business going forward!!

I bought a used truck from here this summer. I started by asking a lot of questions to the online sales person, Tia. She helped me get answers and find a truck that fit my needs. I went to check the truck out and she connected me with Seth as a salesman. Seth answered more questions, worked through different scenarios, and gave me a fair price on the truck and my trade. The sales manager and finance manager were great to work with too, I didn't feel too pressured and the process was smooth. I'll be back next summer to work with Seth and the rest of the team when its time to replace my wife's vehicle.

Recently went to find a SUV, upon finding one I had not one but two sales people hounding me. Nick Orlando and Tucker C. It started with Nick telling me about a warranty that didn't even exist to Tucker trying to work numbers. After leaving and coming back (2 hours later) we finally wanted to talk numbers, Nick wasn't interested and said "we already talked numbers". He had a horrible attitude throughout the entire purchase. After much headache a deal (made with the business manager) was reached. the vehicle was delivered the next day, not only damaged but nothing had been done as discussed. Obviously upset I called and spoke with a sales manager, he wanted nothing to do with the situation and offered no resolution except for "just give it back then" then transferred me to Tucker. Tucker not only didn't offer a resolution but WANTED the vehicle back and said he didn't want to do any further business. I should have listened when everyone around me said "stay away from casco bay ford!". Take my advice, there are at least a dozen other Ford dealers In southern maine you can go to. it will be better than gambling with a situation like this

I have experienced great sales people, and their service department is absolutely the best in the business. Knowing that their service department is the best comes from using the other Ford service departments in the area. Their service kingpin, Shawn Randall is an outstanding manager, and nothing flusters him. Unexpected changes to service appointments are a regular occurrence in any service department, Shawn takes them in stride, makes the required changes, and most importantly, keeps the customer happy and rolling. In a previous post, I accused a salesman of being something he isn't. There has been a injustice done, and now I will correct it. I always have my cars serviced at the dealership, and even though I drive a Subaru and this is a Ford dealership, the service department has been nothing but a delight. They have never been pushy, never tried to talk me into doing anything, and treat me with respect. I purchased a 2009 Ford F-150 Platinum Series on April 27. A few weeks later I had an issue with the interior head liner falling down. Contacted the service department and they took care of the problem immediately or so we both thought. About a month later it happened again. I spoke with Anthony in service and brought my truck in for the repair. As it turned out there was a recall on that part which was found by Les Kane. Since they didn't have the part to fix it Anthony rescheduled me for the next morning. He set me up with a loner vehicle even though I was willing to wait. 2 hours later my truck was ready and remains in great condition. The entire service team at Casco Bay ford was exceptional. Anthony went out of his way for me and if this is the type of service you consistently provide customers then I will come back for all my service needs. While I'm at it I wish to include my sales man Ben Martin. If not for him I would not be in this vehicle now. Talk about an all around great experience. The ownership should be happy to have such dedicated employees as Anthony, Ben and Les working for them. By the way, I work in retail as well so I know good service.

I recently purchased a car here and have had nothing but problems with the car. When I bought it, it was very noisy. They tried to tell me it was tire noise until a mechanic rode with me. It turned up being an axle and wheel bearings. The mechanics and service department have been great. The low rating is for the sales department. I hate to say it, but all they care about is making a commission. The cars they tried to put me in were dirty and had issues. One car had been in an accident and the passenger door wouldn't even close correctly. Another car had been in three accidents and they tried to push it off as a great buy! Get your Ford serviced here, but if you want to purchase a car, go somewhere else. You'll be sorry if you don't!

Bought a truck which I could not register. They knowingly sold me a truck they did not have a title for. First off this is against the law in Maine. Then when I called for the title everyone acted like it was a surprise. Spoke to the finance guy next day. He said he did not know what happened. Then during same conversation he told me he applied for the title on Monday. So I bought the truck on Tuesday and 6 days later he applied for the title. Very underhanded business practices. I left a message fir the GM to call me. Still no word. Right now the truck is sitting in the drive since it could not be registered and the 14 day plate is expired. They offered me a dealer tag. I said can I tow my food trailer on dealer tag? Answer was well techinacly no you can not. So I asked how am I suppose to operate my business? We will give you a dealer tag was the reply. Once again you just told me I could not tow with dealer tag but you are telling me to tow with dealer tag. Apparently the law doesn't mean anything at Casco Bay Ford. If they don not return my call by Monday they can come get the truck. Selling a truck without the title makes all the documents I signed void.

Horrible experience. The sales consultant, Gregg French was a jerk. He tried talking me into a car I did not want to buy, and was horribly pushy. The car was several years old, had higher mileage, and actually had marks with paint actually missing on the front bumper. When I mentioned the marks he tried to tell me that it was a used car and used cars have marks on them. I have always purchased used cars and never once bought a car with marks on it. He wouldn't even talk price until I basically agreed to buy the car, and when I later looked at the website price it was listed for WAY over kelley blue book value. He seemed to think my mom and I were idiots and naive and have never bought cars alone before. He told me I wouldn't find the monthly payment range I was looking for, for a car with all the bells and whistles and the low mileage I wanted. Told me I would have to end up paying over $400 a month if I wanted all that in a car. I immediately left and went to Prime Toyota, and had the most pleasant experience where I not only car fully loaded, with lower mileage and 4 years newer than the car Gregg was trying to sell me, but for an even lower monthly payment then I was expecting. I'm only going to Prime from now on.


I tend to shy away from dealerships because of how pushy the salesmen can be. That being said, I decided to stop in and checkout some of the used inventory that you guys have. I was greeted by Josh Libby, and I haven't viewed dealerships the same since. Josh was incredibly helpful and kind, and he let me look at my own pace. Josh Libby you are the best in the business! An absolutely joyful experience shopping with Josh!

I have been going here for service for about 10 years now. Have had nothing but good experiences. Everyone is helpful and I know when I get my vehicle back I don’t have to worry about any lingering issues, and if there ever were any they would be right on top of fixing it! Recently, I have also purchased my first vehicle in 10 years. It is something I always do not look forward to as there are so many factors that go into buying a car, and I always worry I’m forgetting something. Seth Phillips made purchasing my car a breeze! He worked with my criteria, even when it evolved, answered my questions like a pro! Seth Phillips is patient, as I can be a little long in the pondering over what I want department ( he was stuck with me for half the day). Simple oil change. Botched 1)Left oil cap off or loose. Lost on road somewhere down the road . 2) Did not tighten oil filter. Clients had remarked I was leaking fluid in their driveway. Took a while to figure out where the leak was coming from. Ruined a few driveways. Pissed off a few customers. CBF here's a tip. Do the job you were paid to do before you get into what my tires look like or other recommendations. If you had done this you may have had a shot at getting the extra business you were trying to drum up I'd rather go to Prompto.

I have always stayed away from dealerships and my first experience was this one. I found a vehicle online, called to ask price and other questions. He said he would call back in 5. 45 minutes later got a call back. He was very helpful and I drove an hour to go try it out. He met me at the door and lead me to his desk. He went to get the car. As I'm sittng there the salesman next to me is telling his client they're all hungry and some other salesman got to eat this morning he sold a truck out from under him. The vehicle I test drove was nice and had all the features I wanted. Except the exterior and interior colors were putrid. It was the first one I've tried. We got back and he was looking for my Vin on my car because I said I would trade, but only if I get what I'm asking otherwise I'll sell outright. He said the sales manager had to test drive my car and I said no I have to go pick up my kids. He told me it would just be in the parking lot and would be quick. So I passed him my keys. BIG MISTAKE. Do not give anyone at a dealership the keys to your car. The guy went out sat in my car and came back in. My salesman came back with a deal...without my keys. I told him I'm all set with the trade offer and he got up to go talk to manager again and I said well no what time is it I have to go get my kids. I had 9 mins before I had to leave. In the meantime, there's another salesman standing on the inside of the door watching a vehicle drive through and he says "you've got an ugly vehicle!" What a professional place. So then he came back with another offer and asked if I took the liberty of this. I said no I'll have to think about it. So then he got the sales manager and I ask my salesman for my keys. The manager asks me questions and salesman doesn't come back with my keys and I asked him where they are and he says he's getting them, someone at the desk I guess. They stand there trying to talk me into agreeing to purchase the vehicle I tried and I say again it's not exactly what I want. So the manager says to salesman to get me my keys she needs to go get her kiddies. He finally comes back with my keys. They walked me out and I don't plan on walking back in.

I called to Casco Bay Ford to verify a price of a truck that was listed on the internet included the snowplow it was pictured with. I was reassured twice verbally that this was in fact the correct price for this truck/plow package. I was told "come right down and we can talk" After an hour drive on my only day off and after a test drive I was told that the truck/plow was actually more then $6000 of what was listed on the Internet and verified over the phone twice but "let's talk and work out a deal" These people will say anything to get you through the door and then they will try to trap you into "working out a deal" these people are all crooks and a big waste of time.


This review goes out to the service department specifically. Jim and Buzz over in service are the best. It's rare to find that old fashion customer service these days. I'm talking about the men and women of our older generations who go above and beyond our modern standards of service. These individuals were raised in a time and place where you did the job right and you did it with pride. I dropped my truck off to have an alignment issue looked at. These guys got it in the same day, figured out the problem, they were honest about what needed fixing and what didn't, got it done and got it back to me the next morning. Truck was in much better shape, ran straight and smooth, but shortly after the truck was in my possession, I realized the steering wheel was ever so slightly off center. I didn't even call to make a comment about it, Jim called me to see if I was happy with the work. I mentioned the steering wheel and he jumped on the phone to get my truck back in to have it fixed. Dropped it off in the a.m. got it back by noon. These guys even offered to drop my truck off for me at work. The best part was learning almost everyone in your service department is a fellow Mason. Very proud and happy brother here. Keep doing what you do. You guys found yourself a loyal customer. I will forever come to Casco Bay Ford for all my service work on my trucks.

I came a long with a friend while she shopped for cars recently and we ended up at Casco Bay Ford. The experience finding and driving the car was fine, just like any other dealership. It was once inside that things turned sour. Sitting at the salesman's desk as he was up and about talking to the desk is where we could here an older gentleman spewing some of the most foul language and disgusting comments about various things including the customers in the show room!! Guys, just because you have a little ipod speaker playing does not turn the managers desk, that is only a few feet away from customers, into a cone of silence. We can here you. To make things worse, the guy with the foul mouth "Buzz", walks over and tries to convince us to buy a car. No thanks. Will never ever come back here.

2 STARS. Dealership gets 1 star for friendly staff and 1 star for being located next to Days famous lobster shack, this was the highlight of my trip. They lose 3 stars for stealing deposits that don't belong to them, a clueless owner that can't get his suit properly tailored and a finance manager who only makes money on stolen deposits. Please note: this dealership stole $500 from my family and I. I came to this location to purchase a 2015 GMC Sierra crew cab, all terrain edition truck. This dealership is 89 miles from me but the truck seemed like a good price. First off, the salesman lied about features in the vehicle. I was told it had a.line-x liner in the bed. False, it was a rubber Matt that barely covered the bottom. This is something the could have saved me a trip. I did still want the truck however if I could get it slightly cheaper to make up for the price of a bed liner. We came to an agreement on price, pending if I could get the right interest rate. My bank couldn't settle on the details because of the amount of the loan so I didn't settle. After requesting the deposit back I was repeatedly ignored and had to file a claim with my bank. Do not trust the weird guy with a 70s hairstyle and an untailored cheap suit or his finance manager. "We don't make money off stealing deposits" were his exact words when I asked why he needed a deposit...... clearly.

I have decided to let Casco Bay Ford handle my vehicle service as long as I am satisfied with it. The service Service has been good so far with friendly service managers. This last time, I had an appointment and told them I would wait in the waiting room. I did not have to wait an unreasonable length of time. At the beginning of the snow season, I was disappointed that they could not find studded snow tires, which I was able to get from another local tire dealer. I like my Escape, but I really did not enjoy the strong arm sales tactics. If I had not wanted the particular vehicle, I would have gone elsewhere. With their "shell game," l think I wound up paying the sticker price, despite all of the "discounts" and "credits."

First I went to test drive just a car that got good gas mileage. Test drove a Focus and they Thad to put air in the tire before we left. Decided to lease that car, had to put gas in the tire before giving it to me so I said there’s something wrong with the tire they wouldn’t replace it. Just had a car with a tire that leaked air through my entire lease. After having th car for a short time I mentioned there was something wrong with my transmission and they brought it in for a software update that actually made it worse. They refused to do anything else about it. I kept the car for the entire lease, returned it at the end and now they’ve reported the car as repoed on my credit report so I cannot go purchase a car at another dealer. I have no idea how that is possible.

To: Casco Bay Ford General Manager I am writing you this email to inform you that you have some of the best employees working for you. Last Saturday myself and three of my friend were heading up from Rhode Island to the West Forks for a hunting trip. Unfortunately, about three hours into the trip we started to have trouble with our vehicle and it went into a safety mode. While debating on what to do and the snow coming down hard we saw your dealer sign from the highway and figured we’d give it a shot. After taking the next exit and pulling up to the service door, which had posted service Mon-Fri , we thought that we’re screwed. Fortunately, the door was open and there was someone at the cashiers desk (Kaila). We explained our situation, and asked her if there was anyone available to possibly run an error code check on our vehicle to see the severity of the issue. At this point, she was able to ask Shaun Randall if he could help us out. Shaun was able to run the code and came to the conclusion that the truck needed a new throttle body. He then searched for the part, but not only at the dealership but elsewhere as well in case it wasn’t in stock. He was able to locate the part and let us know that he would be able take the truck right in and have his guys start working on it. We were baffled. We couldn’t believe that this trip wasn’t going to be a wash. From there things got even better; Kaila was able to get Gregg to give us a ride to and from Pats Pizza while the vehicle was being worked on. In no time, we were back on the road heading up to the West Forks for our hunting trip. We could believe the genuine personal attention that your employees gave us. They treated us like we were family, yet they had never meet us in their lives. In today’s world of selfishness and a ME generation it was nice to know that there are still good people out there. Where do I start....well, my first trip into the dealership ended just as fast as it started. I was looking at a used ford explorer, and was quickly told that the vehicle was on an overnight test drive, and wouldn't be back until that afternoon. Well...afternoon turned into a day, with no return call. Turns out...that vehicle was actually on the lot, but the sale representative was holding the vehicle for someone else (I have owned several explorers, so I would have purchased that vehicle same day...such is life). I inquired about another vehicle, and came in for a test drive. Everyone deserves a second chance. Well, I was offered a number, due to my poor experience, that was a best and final, and put them 'up against the wall' for pricing. Still, the number wasn't what I was looking for, so I passed on the vehicle. During the weekend, I went back to look at their inventory, just checking to see what might have come in on trade, and what did I see...the same explorer now listed at my 'exclusive' price. Trust me, I understand pricing, profit, etc...they can only sell a car for what they can sell a car for, but there is no need to lie to me. There is no need to waste my time, especially given my experience from the first visit. They went from potentially selling me a different explorer, to not receiving my business at all. The dealership may preach family owned, family oriented, but they are just like any other car dealership in the area...they only reason they received one star was the second sale agent I dealt with. Very nice, and professional.

Wish I could say I'm a happy customer, but I'm not, so here goes: I drove to Maine this past weekend from CT. to help my parents find a nice used car and checking websites I find a 2014 Lincoln at Casco Bay Ford, so Monday morning I drive a hour over to see the car and found it on jack stands with the wheels removed. I was told by Gregg the wheels had some scratches and out for repair, and the wheels would be back on the car Tue. morning, so I set an appointment up at noon Tue. with Gregg to have my parents see and drive the Lincoln, it was perfect for them and I would have been proud to see them own it, also My Mom called before they left Tue. morning and said they were leaving to come over as they are driving over to the dealership another salesman sells the car to another cash customer. so my parents (which are 80 years old) drive in and was told sorry the car was just sold, my parents were told at that time we should have left a deposit on Monday to hold it, which I could have done since I had 2K on me, but who the hell is going leaving a deposit on a car sitting in the air on jack stands with the wheels and tires off! I couldn't even sit in it, they wasted my time on Monday and my parent time on Tue. NOT GOOD BUSINESS!!!! I'm not a tire kicker. I have bought 12 new Ford vehicles over the last 30 years including my new F350 and own many vintages Fords...I really wanted to buy this car for my parents!

I received a a “Bonus Slots” in the mail which was a way for Casco Bay Ford to attract new customers by pretending they might win something. I drove up from Portland to redeem my “Bonus Slots” and a person a suppose was the owner of the dealership because the way he sounded and acted was very authoritative and passive aggressive, which made me very uncomfortable. He demanded everyone that was in line to fill out a form which then they will be able to redeem their “Bonus Slots” and everyone that redeemed their Slots won $2, including myself. I heard great things from this dealership, which I wouldn’t mind buying a possible Ford from them in the future, but from the expierence I had with “supposed owner” I will NEVER buy, recommend, or visit this dealer or any other Ford dealerships. I know they will lose a lot of new customer with this slow event they’re hosting.

EDIT: I wish to revise my review with an update. A couple of days after we took the truck home, we noticed that there was a major problem. We got the wrong axle ratio and wouldn’t be able to tow our 5th wheel trailer with this new and quite expensive vehicle we just purchased. We felt sick! But when we went back, the folks at Casco Bay Ford bent over backwards to make things right and find us another vehicle that would meet our needs. I don’t know if every dealership would have done what they did. Despite the hiccups, I feel overall very positive about our experience, and chalk up my interaction with the business manager to a misunderstanding. I think they do what they can to be customer-oriented, and when mistakes are made, they strive to make it right. I just bought a new F250 from Casco Bay Ford. Izzy was great to work with. He patiently answered all of our questions and did his best to find us exactly what we were looking for without pushing us too hard in any one direction. HOWEVER, after we made the deal, I began to wonder if I had taken the best financing option. I had no paperwork with numbers on it, so I came back to ask them to explain to me how the finance option I chose was better than the alternative. At this point, the business manager became very impatient and patronizing to me instead of showing me how the numbers worked. I left feeling angry and belittled.
