The service staff was pleasant. There were multiple waiting areas, all of them clean. Free coffee, and the usual things common to today’s dealerships. They seem to be inefficient or slow moving. I had a 7:30 appointment, the work should have taken 1 hour. At 9:30 I noticed my truck was outside, but no one had come to notify me that the work was completed. I stood in view of the service counter starring out at my truck wondering how long it would be before they notified me. 9:42 I was handed my keys.

My only gripe was they charged me a $130 “Diagnostic Fee” to plug into my car’s computer to retrieve a Check engine Code. I wasn’t happy about that, and they worked it out with me. Issue Resolved, Continue Reading Bought a used sport car from them. They really talked it up. Had to jump battery to start but was assured that because of it being a convertible it had not been started in awhile. Back to pick up few days later car started and I drove it home. In heated garage tried to start 5 days later battery no good. They will not return call to come good for this VERY DISAPPOINTING Update to my original Review 2-18-19 I received a call from Ryan with an apology that due to a miscommunication that my concerns re: the Battery had not been addressed. Bill Dodge is indeed coming good for this and I am very Happy with the Outcome. I would and will happily recommend them to anyone that would be interested in buying an auto from them. My husband and I had a great experience at Bill Dodge auto in Westbrook. We had been shopping all day for a slightly used truck to no avail. After visiting several other dealerships we were about to call it a day when we decided to pull into Bill Dodge for one last look. Even though it was about 430pm on a Saturday, our sales man Richard Baumann was very patient and helpful. He went over our budget and asked us useful questions about what we were going to use the vehicle for and what it was we were really after. Next, he took us to look at all of the vehicles that matched our description. After looking at several other trucks, we took our truck for a test drive and decided that was the one for us. At this point it was well past 530pm and the dealership was winding down for the day, but that didn't stop our salesman Richard, we were able to tentatively secure financing and leave with our new Toyota tundra that night! Bill Dodge in Westbrook and our sales guy Richard Baumann were wonderful and we would definitely recommend there business to our friends and family!

Extremely displeased with this company. They brought me hundreds of miles to sell my newer vehicle and wouldn’t honor the base offer, let alone the exaggerated offer that their sales person used to entice and mislead. I was called by the manager who essentially scolded me for my KBB inputs, HE DIDNT EVEN CHECK the inputs. Would have seen that my tires were brand new. They didn’t want 2 WD. That’s fair. Say that!!!! In my opinion, Bill Dodge is the epitome of dealing with used car salesmen. Ugh


Bought a 2016 Sequoia from Amanda...what a super sweet outgoing sales lady she is! All the people we dealt with from the Sales Staff, to Managers, to Finance were professional, laid back, no pressure kind of people...the way buying a car should be but usually isn't. We were in to look at the BMW I3 electric vehicle, which is on our short list of EVs and plug-in hybrids that we are considering. The sales staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. We are in the early stages of our research, and greatly appreciate the time Nathan spent with us. We don't know whether or not we'll end up going with an I3 or the 330e, but they are on our shortlist. It will mostly boil down to vehicle energy efficiency, safety features and styling. I recently purchased two vehicles from this dealer. My girlfriend and myself are rather inexperienced with car buying. The sales person we spoke with [Robert Labbe] was incredible. He was able to help us with our financial situation. My girlfriend got a Ford Fusion and I was able to purchase my first new Car. I really feel like Robert helped us get the best deal we possibly could. The managers in both buildings were incredible as well. My only issue was a longer then normal wait time for approval on my vehicle. The manger knew about it and addressed it that day. I felt like I was buying from good friends not sales people.

Went in for a recall item fix on my '09 Saturn. While I was there I mentioned a stiff door hinge which Bill Williams had them grease for me and when he came to tell me this was all done, Bill reminded me that my inspection sticker was due by the end of the month (only a couple days away). He then offered to do the inspection for me as one of my two free State Inspections. In less than an hour, with a simple signature for work completed, I was on my way with a safer, quieter and newly inspected car that was also freshly washed and the front floor mats had even been cleaned for me - Very satisfying experience! Worked with Jake to purchase a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 this past December. I didn't originally intend to purchase a vehicle, just scope out options, and Jake made me an offer I couldn't refuse. During the process there was several times things just didn't make sense, or actually seemed dishonest, and Jake was more than patient and broke everything down for me barney style, and I walked away with absolutely no questions. Post sale there was concerns with aftermarket pieces purchased, and this is where they lost a star; it took 6-9 phone calls to rectify the issues, including tires, tonne covers, mirrors, and more. However, after speaking with the GMC GM, the dealership made it more than right, and I walked away completely satisfied. Next time I look to purchase a vehicle, they'll be the first ones I call. It's currently 7 months after I purchased my truck, and Jake has called a couple times to ensure I'm still completely happy, and to remind me that I have a free oil change and rotation available at their location. Excellent service.

Normally would give more stars but when I brought my GMC HD 6.0 in for a bad catalytic converter and 2 snapped off exhaust manifold bolts. I was told the catalytic converter was under warranty but the 2 broken bolts were not covered under the emissions warranty!! Bill Dodge wanted $450.00 to fix the broken bolts. I told them to just replace the catalytic converter and I would have someone else fix the broken bolts as $450.00 is to much . I questioned my advisor 2 times how can the catalytic converter be covered but not the bolts?? I was told adamantly that the broken bolts are not covered! After researching this I called GM customer service and file a complaint and wouldn't you know it once GM got involved Bill Dodge fixed the 2 broken exhaust manifold bolts under the emissions warranty. Just happy now that my truck is running good and sounds a lot better too since the exhaust leak is fixed.

Would have been 5 stars as Bob Williams is wonderful. However, when I got into my car, I noticed that my door well was virtually emptied, the contents (sunglasses, etc.) were on the front passenger floor. Further, my armrest box was thoroughly searched, with its contents also strewn on floor or mashed back into the box. The reason is obvious - I (used to) keep loose change in my cup holder, under a couple of napkins. Roughly $8-$10 in mostly quarters (along with some dimes and nickels) were missing. I very much doubt I will be returning to you for any future service.

I have never been opposed to "walking out" on a car deal if I felt the sales person was NOT listening to me with what I wanted in a car, financing and repayment schedule and that I had to "love" the car I was about to buy. This was the case with 3 local dealerships in the past 10 years that I've lived in Portland. However, on the recommendation of two friends who have found a "home" with Bill Dodge, they strongly recommended to meet with Jim C. and simply tell him what I was looking for. Well, I did, and can't say enough my experience. He actually listened to me, as did Chris T. I purchased a 2015 KIA Optima and now have a vehicle that I actually love. Great gas mileage, ride, extras! To add to this purchase, after taking my "new to me" vehicle home, I noticed a fairly heavy scratch the entire travel path of the windshield, most likely caused by a defective wiper blade on the passenger side, I called Jim, he suggested that I stop to speak with Scott B. I did, he agreed there was definitely a problem, he consulted with Bob C. Next thing said to me was -- "we will schedule a replacement, when can you bring it in". Needless to say, I am very pleased with the purchase and service, and believe I too have found a new home for my next purchase. THANK YOU BILL DODGE for making it EASY!!!

Brought in my Saturn for a broken 3-5-r in the transmission. Was told both front and rear oil seals were bad. Spent 1000 for the seal replacement the transmission was covered under warranty. Brought back for a state inspection a week or 2 back and was told that not only do I have an oil leak again, and my transmission is now leaking. How can I possibly give a good review for that?? I WILL NOT be back!!

I purchased my wife's X3 as a certified preowned vehicle. While I perform a lot of the regular maintenance work like oil changes and tire rotations, I take it to Bill Dodge for everything else. Everyone you encounter, from the time when you call to make an appointment, to the service writers and everyone else are all top notch. I recently changed the oil in this car, having previously purchased all my supplies through the parts department. The very next day the "service engine soon" light came on. I got an appointment the next business day at 7:30 in the morning! By 8:00 the car was washed and waiting for me. The problem? I had not properly replaced the oil filler cap and a subsequent crankcase air leak was picked up by the computer. You want to the know the best part? No charge! No charge for the service, no charge for the advice, and a free car wash! When was the last time anyone truly showed you that they value your business? What a great start to my day...Thank you Bill Dodge.

I dealt with Dale Cunningham at your wholesale sales facility. You were selling an old truck at a reasonable price. The combination was perfect for me. Dale provided me with accurate information about the truck and the sales process via phone and internet. My wife and I visited and decided to buy the truck. Its low price was dictated by some delayed maintenance which was described in detail in advance. Dale and Thaddeus moved us through the purchase process quickly and efficiently with good advice and friendly demeanor. My own mechanic has had a chance to go over the vehicle and it does not seem to require anything not mentioned and some of the items mentioned may be postponed. I had an appointment for a recall fix on my 2006 Buick LaCrosse this morning at Bill Dodge in Westbrook. I chose to go to this location because there were other errands I wanted to run in the area. Unfortunately, I got lost! I called the dealership on my cell phone, and luckily I was connected to Robert Williams. Mr. Williams stayed on the phone and guided me to the dealership. He was very patient with during my drive through unfamiliar streets. Once I got there, I was met by a young man who offered to drive my car to the appropriate door and showed me the way inside. Once inside I met Mr. Williams who showed me to the waiting rooms. The wait was comfortable and not too long. I was treated like an old friend! Mr. Williams came into the waiting room and informed me that my car was ready and it had been washed! I am totally impressed by the way I was treated at Bill Dodge! Every person I encountered was friendly and helpful. I will remember them the next time I need a car!

I havent even had a chance to become a customer and have had the WORST customer service from MANAGEMENT of all people. 1st it was the general manager then the service manager. And not to mention the service scheduler, I dont do anything but schedule appointments? I schedule service appointments at the BIGGEST dealership in Maine for 5 stores and NEVER would dream of giving a customer that as an answer to a question, esp in regards to recalls. Now the general manager I spoke with about 2 months ago, never received a call back after attempts both via email, chat and voicemails left. The service manager said I will call you back to see about getting you rescheduled for the recalls as I had a busted tire and live 45 minutes away, never called me back. I will drive the hour in a half gladly to Nh and give them my business. I contacted BMW customer care and also filed a complaint.

Then, weeks after my purchase, I received a call to remind me it was time for routine service. Now that is diamond quality service. The level of customized service was to the max, the choices of cars were many, and whole experience was, as it was in the past, irrefutable. My wife and I went to Bill Dodge on Labor Day to look at a New Terrain for her. We met with Dave Durocher who was fantastic. Normal down to earth guy who wasn’t pushy at all. I assumed our situation was a little tricky as we wanted to trade in 2 vehicles. It turned out to be a very simple process. We got very fair prices for both vehicles. I have walked out of dealerships that came back with ridiculously low trade offers. I consider our time to be valuable and have no patience for being treated as if I have no clue what my trade is worth. The negotiating was quick and painless. We got a very fair deal on the new vehicle and Dave and his coworkers found a way to take both vehicles that we wanted to trade which was the goal. At the end of the day we purchased a new vehicle, got rid of 2 others and it was the least stressful interaction I’ve ever had at a dealership. We have now purchased 2 new vehicles from Bill Dodge dealerships and the experience was fantastic at both. But for me the trade in negotiating is what puts them ahead of others. Not a fan, bought a used truck from them a few years back. Not a good decision on my part. Told a friend not to go there last year but she said she got a decent deal on a used BMW. Then she had to promply dump 2 grand into it not long afterwards (right after the 90 day warranty ended they suddenly discovered a problem). UPDATE!!! MY FRIEND JUST HAD TO GET NEW STRUTS AND SHE HASN'T HAD THE CAR FOR A YEAR AND A HALF AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE HER $2,600.00 LUCKILY SHE WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE AND PAID $1,200.00. I only purchase new vechiles now but I DON'T buy from these guys. Not a fan of the service department either, the truck had a current sticker on it but was 5 months old, I told the sales guy I wanted a new sticker if I bought it (I said if it didn't pass inspection I wouldn't buy it, so surprise surprise, it passed) but the following year when I brought it in (and I went to them for all my oil changes and stuff), the truck suddenly needed $ 3,500 worth of brake work and some other stuff (they claimed) and the truck only had 62 K miles on it and I had only put 7 thousand miles on it in the year I owned it. Buyer beware with these guys. Again, not a fan. Not a business I would ever do business with again, or recommend (as my friend's situation continues to point out)

The staff was friendly and understanding. 5 stars to them. I’m sure they deal with frustrated and angry people every hour of every day. But... I initially brought my truck, that is 8 months old and has only 6000 miles, in for a check engine light and transmission issues. They called me two days later and said the issue was resolved. I came in to pick it up, drove it off the lot and probably 20 seconds later the check engine light popped back on and I was having the same issues again. So I turned around and drove back. I was prompted by txt to write a review of this experience as they were driving my truck back into the shop. Ironic.

What started out as somewhat of a bad experience was quickly surpassed by a great experience. Brought my truck there for a recall procedure and due to some miscommunication and the way our account was set up in their system, the work didn’t get done. Bob, the service manager was very apologetic and quickly worked to try get the situation rectified at the utmost convenience to me. This they did by having me come back at a time of my choosing and rented me a car to take home for the night. We have been searching for a heavy duty dually to tow our camper and drove over three hours to Bill Dodge. We were greeted by John C who showed us the GMC truck we came to see.
