I had a great experience here. I went to the dealership to discuss some "options". I explained with David Cyr that I didnt want to waste his time and wanted to just talk with someone about what the best path would be for me in my current situation (trade in, high miles, upside down etc) David taught me a fair amount about the way down payments worked, and how much I would need to put down to keep my payment at X. This was never explained to me at any other dealership. We also went back and forth several times and through my strong will and his persistence we were able to come up with a solution that was affordable and ending up leaving in a 2019 Civic. Thank you David!

I was appalled at my treatment during my visit. It seemed a bunch of rather arrogant men who did more chatting amongst each other than helping anyone else. Sadly, the first time I took my vehicle here, it was an exceptional experience and I wrote, and since have deleted a positive review. I have come to learn, it depends on whom you work with. The first person I worked with (Steve) was absolutely incredible and I was very happy with my service. However, the second time, I was told my tensioner was a problem and needed to be fixed, and that my breaks needed replacing. I come from a car family...something felt fishy to me, as well as the pressure to get the work done immediately. I have taken my car to two other places and there was no evidence of the tensioner being an issue...my car even passed inspection with flying colors... but worst of all... I have not needed to replace my breaks at all, and its been over a year since the incident...and I drive my car daily!!! They were completely fine and needed no replacing. Unscrupulous and very disappointing, I would never get my car serviced here again.

Slow to start. Had appointment for 9:30. Arrived a few minutes early. No service until 10:45. Had to wait because I wanted to ride with the mechanic while he assessed my manual transmission. Great ride and evaluation with the mechanic. Multiple point inspection and report appeared thorough. Estimates for recommended repairs seemed very high. Everyone was cordial. Waiting area was clean and comfortable. Coffee was good. Seemed like there were many employees scurrying around. Felt overstaffed. Very impressive operation.

Berlin City was great! I was upgrading my old car to a new to me car. Ed was helpful at answer questions and helping close the sale. Unfortunately it was used so came with a few minor quirks (they appeared as it was driven more then they do in their test drives). Berlin City, specifically Jeff L., was on top of it. My review of Berlin Honda is based upon my personal experience I encountered last month. The dealership is large and modern. The have a lot of inventory. I visited the dealership looking for a specific used car year and model. Of course when I said I could wait until other used cars came in, they immediately tried to steer me to the inventory on the lot. The salesman was not knowledgeable about the car I wanted to buy. I also noticed, many of the used cars in the lot were equipped with new tires. These tires were cheap off brand tires vs. the original equipment tires. I often watch Berlin City Honda commercials where they claim the best prices etc... Not in my experience. For better prices, visit Honda dealers in New Hampshire. In their TV commercials, Berlin is always patting themselves on the back for donating to all kinds of local charities. Lower your Prices and pass the savings on to the customers. We can decide what charities to donate our savings to.

We were greeted warmly by the service personnel and by Bobby the head of the service department. We were in the service for our license plate to be changed from NC to Maine plates and the fact that we needed plates on the front of the vehicle as well as the back necessitated brackets. The service department said would we like to have the car inspected as well and since we planned on doing this at a service station in Scarborough we were thrilled that Berlin Honda could do this as well. They said that the car would be done in an hour and it was. This is our first experience at the Honda dealership and we will be back because we were treated so well. Our salesman Chris Macisso was very knowledgeable about all the vehicles we were interested in and gave us great feedback on what we should look into with our criteria. We traded in a Jeep Compass which we had purchased from Chris 3 years ago and had grown out of. The first vehicle we looked at first was a little more than we wanted to spend so he looked at all his inventory and found us one almost identical for less money at a different location that was within our price range! He drove there to get it so we could test drive it that night. This was my second time buying a car from Berlin City Honda, and both experiences were great. Berlin City's initial price was thousands lower than the other Honda dealerships in the State, and they even went lower when those other dealerships undercut them by a few hundred dollars. The only thing I'd avoid is the glass etching, it was not worth the extra $400 to me. Ted was the salesman I worked with and he was great, he had no trouble giving me prices for multiple 2018/2019 Civics at various trim levels which made my decision much easier. Other dealerships made it hard to get more than one price at a time, and some would only give me monthly payments. I also appreciate that Berlin City didn't try high pressure sales tactics like the other dealerships I visited. Signing paperwork was quick and simple. After the sale they made sure my new car was perfectly detailed, had a full tank of gas, and the tech genie helped answer any questions I had about the car!

Just picked my car up from a 20,000 mile service for my new CRV. The total charge was more than $700. Part of the bill was $139 for a differential service. On the basis of just that one experience, my advice would be to go elsewhere. I have had good luck with Honda dealers in the past. If you do go to Berlin Honda, make sure that what they are proposing to do to your car is actually necessary.

Mike Hoyle provided the best service experience that I have received from ANY company in a long, long time. He listened to my need for quick service so that I could get to an important appointment on time and without any last-minute stress. He both listened and delivered! He was up-front with me saying he would get me to my appointment in the event that my truck was NOT ready in time... but it was. Mike was courteous, professional, efficient, and easy to work with. All too often today, when I thank someone for their service or efforts, I get the response “No problem.” That’s the worst thing a customer can be told. After reading the online reviews I was skeptical about taking my Honda Element there for a recall. When I arrived there for my appointment I was promptly greeted by a service representative who had my information on file. I was led to the waiting area which was very pleasant with a good selection of coffee, tea, water, fresh fruit and snacks. The reading material was also enjoyable. I would give Berlin City Honda a high five for their service. When I checked out I was also presented with a free car wash coupon.

Yesterday was my first time at the service center. I had a Volvo wagon that I loved and had a really good experience with the dealer in St. Louis for more than 20 years. I moved to Maine and gave the Portland Volvo dealer my business 3 times. Each time I regretted it, so when it was time to get a new car, I knew I could no longer have a Volvo after owning 5 Volvo’s because of the outrageous service at Portland Volvo. I found Berlin Honda met my every hope of finding a service center that was as good as West County Volvo in St. Louis. I’m sooooo happy. Your guys are friendly, helpful and very kind. They were eager to help with all the things I didn’t know how to operate with my new CRV. They made me feel like my business was to be earned and worked for. Kudos.

- BAD - Went in to negotiate for a used vehicle. Sales wouldn't budge on price (having worked at a dealership we both knew that they had a lot off leeway on the price, but they still wouldn't negotiate) and came off as standoffish. We had only a few months prior purchased a vehicle and were hoping to build a long term business relationship. Their loss. I will not do business with them in the future and I will recommend to everyone that they go elsewhere when purchasing a vehicle. - We ended up going to Bill Dodge Auto Group and I purchased an INFINITI from them.

Very welcoming, slick and professional site. The staff were courteous and friendly. The time estimate was spot on. Though we were offered a shuttle to the nearby mall, we opted instead to stay in their excellently provided for Waiting Area. Complimentary Wi-fi, TV, coffee (and other hot drinks), fruit and breakfast bars made the wait inconsequential. We used a coupon for a synthetic oil change, but we are questioning the invoice, which itemizes it as a synthetic BLEND - not what we wanted.

Stole an EpiPen out of my car when in for service, messed the inside of my car so bad I had sand blowing out of AC. Service guy shrugged and said oh well. Do NOT do business with ever!! Oh and no Managers work there per Dillan. Just discovered tonight after getting home that the drivers seat is broken, they busted the plastic cover piece so it know falls off. And I'm missing a phone charger! Worst place ever!!!

Every time I need my car looked at or serviced Dillion and the crew at Berlin City Honda do an excellent job of making sure I'm educated on all things involved with my car. Just recently it was making a rattle in the back right corner and I took it in. Supposively a "One-Wheel" retailer... Couldn't find a soul to help me purchase one. Decided to check out the floor model while I waited. Someone from parts immediately scolded me and asked me not to touch "the demo!" Told me I needed to sign a waiver... I said I was willing to sign... Immediately reversed and I guess there is no waiver!?? Ok... So I was lied to. No sign saying "do not touch" & easily can tell this thing has been demo'd for a long time because of wear/use... But I guess I wasnt allowed for some reason! Prob because of my race but w/e!

I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with this dealership and with Ryan York in Service. I came in after I had to jump my car in the morning. I wasn't sure if the issue was the battery or something else. I was looking to your service staff to thoroughly test and thoughtfully explain what needed to be fixed. I was told that I would need to replace the alternator. When I asked if it was usual to have to replace this part at only 5 years old and 33,000 miles, I was told this was odd, but they couldn't really say why it happened. Given that I was at a Honda Dealership, I trusted your staff was correct and paid the $1,083 price for a new alternator. Expected in that is a thorough job and review of the entire car and what was causing the problem. The next morning, my car would yet again not start. Given that I had just taken it to the dealership and paid an exorbitant amount of money to fix what they told me the problem was, I was extremely frustrated. I should add at this point that my experiences with Ryan up to this point were extremely frustrating and condescending. When getting me a car to use while my car stayed overnight at the dealership, I said that I had to return to Kennebunkport from Portland. I was trying to make clear that I did not live in the neighborhood. Ryan responded with "We will make sure you make it back in time for the boat ride around the harbor". This is extremely unprofessional to say to me and was not appreciated. The misogyny especially not appreciated. When I realized that my car did not start again the next morning, I called Ryan back. He was not sympathetic at all and less than helpful. Being told at this juncture that it really could be any other issue and that I should return was not appreciated. While I understand that you cannot help me further without seeing the car, I feel like there was some negligence in your review of my car in the first place. You stopped at the alternator and did not care or desire to look further. I took my business to Saco Honda and had a much better experience. Instead of being limited to only seeing it as an alternator issue, they took it the step further and did a GR8 battery test, determining that I also needed a new battery. I have to believe that regardless of where I started, they would have determined the alternator issue. However, I do believe there was negligence and disregard on Berlin Honda's behalf not also determining there was a battery issue as well. I hope this review serves to offer some constructive feedback to your staff. My experience was not pleasant at all. I will never return to your dealership. Part of me expects both the alternator install charges to be reimbursed and my battery cost to be paid for by Berlin Honda. 8/22/2019 Update: This is the worst customer experience I have ever had. After posting this review, I got a call from Mike in their Customer Service Department. Not only did I have to call him about 6 times over the course of two days to even get in touch with him, he was exceptionally rude to me over the phone. The fact of the matter is that this company was negligent in their service of my car and they are unwilling and unable to admit any wrong doing. This is not how you treat customers. Your organization did not conduct the necessary tests to determine if they had in fact fixed my car. Mike asks me how I know this? Because my car didn't start the next day! And it was fixed at Saco!! CLEARLY you didn't fix it. This resulted in three days of my time, two trips to Portland, one trip to Saco and two days of missed work. Absolutely unacceptable service and behavior. Perhaps worse, they are unwilling to hear this feedback and share with their staff in hopes of any future improvement. Never go here.

I just bought my first car today and the service I got was incredible. I was extremely nervous about the whole process, but the people I worked with made the experience seem easy in the grand scheme of things. I had Chris as a sales associate who helped me learn about all of the features for car I was looking at, he also did everything he could to aid in the process of helping me get the best deal. I then worked with another Chris who was part of the financing, and again, he helped me get the best deal and made sure I was in my price range. I also worked with Becky who made signing all the paperwork much more enjoyable. Overall, each person I worked with made sure I got the best deal, the best car, and the best care possible. I truly appreciate all of the effort that everyone took to help me find what I was looking for. I would highly recommend them to anyone!!

The person who originally took my information on the phone told me that there was no recall on the shifting knob.She was not very nice about it. I had a copy of the recall, which I had told her. He told me that wasn't true of course. There was a recall. I also appreciated that he had my car brought into the service area for me when it was done. It was raining very hard. Not going back after decades of car purchases & service. Going to local Honda dealer. Got burned without ANY attempt to make right. Forever finding charges "added" since service area made "fancy" a couple years ago. Mechanics rate nearly $150/hr--in MAINE. Car checked over, 3 keys matched (not bought there--other Honda dealer sale, only 1 key needed cut) & an oil change: $202. Seriously. They never even checked that the new key remote worked. (It didn't). Came home with dead remote. NO QC. Wanted me to come back to put new battery in remote & CHARGE for it. Sigh. Plus waited 2 hours over "assigned" wait time. For inspection last visit, said car tires wouldn't pass inspection next time (year)--showed me sheet with "scary" red differentials. Tires bought 11/15 at reputable tire store. Checked with them for winter use--enough wear for 25k to 30k miles in tires!! I've only had 21,000 on the tires! DONE.DONE.DONE. Buh-Bye!

They took us in at 4pm on Thursday before Labor day. They not only fixed the Van but did so very quickly and the guys stayed after closing to be sure we were back on the road that evening!! I actually almost purchased from a different dealership but they were being wishy washy and slow to respond to my inquiries. So I said to heck with them and contacted Berlin. Fortunately I had the complete opposite experience at Berlin. I emailed my salesperson, Tim Cole, Fri afternoon and heard back a couple hours later. We negotiated on the phone Fri evening and the next morning I called in a down payment over the phone. Never even set foot in Berlin until after I had committed haha! From our first conversation to our last, Tim was refreshingly responsive, respectful, genuine, and committed to customer service. He was honest about what they could offer and never tried to push me into buying more or any of that monkey business. They were able to give me most of what I asked for when negotiating (and I asked for a pretty good deal). When we met in person, Tim had a great sense of humor and took my nitpicking like a champ haha. I'm one of those people who reads the fine print, considers little details, and negotiates everything. I am sure this is a nightmare to car dealerships but Tim rolled with it just fine as did the finance guy Wayne. Berlin has this cool program where someone sits in the car with you and helps you connect your phone to bluetooth and shows you all the bells and whistles of your new car. I had no idea such a program existed but I'm so glad it does! Unfortunately I can't remember his name (though I do remember he graduated from UMaine in 2014 with Computer Science degree) but the guy who was my technology genie was awesome! He showed me a ton of things I never would've figured out on my own. Never would've known what the Econ button does but he showed me and now I use it all the time. And other things like that. Anyway, all this is to say I had a great experience at Berlin and next time we need a new car I'll be headed back to Berlin to speak with Tim. Highly recommend!
