One of the worst car dealerships in the state. The service department is atrocious, they do not honor the things that they promise they'll do, and they reserve loaner cars only for the poor saps who were unfortunate enough to get fleeced by their sales department. The sales department you expect that from with a car dealership, but the service department to act the way they have in the past is ridiculous. I have made it a point for the last six years of Acura ownership to take my cars a hundred and forty miles out of the way to Baton Rouge to avoid these people.

I went with my mom to purchase a car to ensure she wasn't taking advantage of. She love Acura and the quality of their vehicles. Her Salesman was James. He first listen to her vehicle needs and what she wanted to use the vehicle for. He help her select the perfect vehicle. If you need a True salesperson go see James at Walker Acura or Walker Volkswagen!

My service rep was very helpful. She kept me updated during my servicing, but the wait was entirely too long. I had a scheduled appointment and waited two and a half hours for an oil change and tire patch. Very disappointing. There’s no consideration for one’s time.

I took my car to get an oil change and tire rotation / check. I left the dealership with a low pressure tire. I addressed the issue with the maintenance person and he told me that it was the responsibility of the tire company to fix the tire pressure sensor even though my car has 12000 miles. He assured me that the tire was checked and filled with air properly. I immediately went to the tire shop from the Acura dealership and there was a nail in the tire. The tire place patched the tire. This showed me that the maintenance people did not fill or check the tire as I had been told. I worry whether the oil change was done at all. Now my car pulls to the right which it wasn’t doing before I went this morning. Now I have to return and hope they will do something to fix the problem. I’m not feeling very confident in the maintenance department.

Scheduled an oil change in advance, but it still ended up taking 3 hours. Got some very vague feedback on some issues I asked them to check on. Best part of my service visit was the Car Wash. Those guys really do a great job, but for a $70 the overall experience left a lot to be desired. After getting serviced here for the past 5 years, I definitely won't be coming back. (update: they also didnt put a sticker in the window with date/mileage at time of service, nor did they reset the dash lights to prevent "Maint Reqd" light from flashing. How this oil change took 3 hours and basic things like this weren't done, I will never know)

TERRIBLE SERVICE. I wouldn't even give them 1 star at this point. I have had multiple issues with the service dept. My most recent has taken me 3 trips and it still isn't fixed. I had a scheduled appt and it took them 4 HOURS to realize they had ordered the wrong part. The service advisors seem to be doing their best, but there is definitely a level of incompetence. When I bought my Acura they had one of the best departments in the US, sadly I think they are now one of the worst. I've even involved the manager, with only empty promises.... And I'm still riding around with my TPMS light on because they can't manage to fix it.

I was told I would be kept up to date on the status of my car, I never received a call. When I called to check on the vehicle, I couldn't get anyone to answer. I physically had to go to the dealership to find out the issue. Then I was told the vehicle would be washed and vacuumed and it wasn't . I was very disappointed with the customer service. My other issue isn't customer service, but to be charged over $40 dollars to replace wiper inserts is a little ridiculous. I just feel like a place that once had top notch service has been in the decline. I understand that my vehicle is a Honda, but it was purchased from the Acura dealership and i was told that all my service needs would be met. I will consider going elsewhere in the future.

The person that took care of my car was very friendly and explain to me what was wrong with the car. However, I felt that because I was a woman the service department could get away with telling things that I do not believe to be true. 1 - My transmission was leaking oil. 2 - I needed new brakes 3 - I needed new tires. When I told the guy that came to talk to me that I had bumper to bumper insurance with them, he backed track as to say that he did not believed anything was wrong with the transmission. At that point I did not want to hear anything else. I was done, because you think I am stupid. I had my brakes done, before I went for my oil change. Very disappointed, to bad that when I bought my car, I paid so much extra money to cover the car with Walker Acura, seeing what is happening now, I would never go back, but I have to because my oil maintenance is already paid for.

Wanda was fantastic, she got me the car I wanted, for the price I wanted and I drove in to New Orleans and drove back with my new car 4 hours later. I loved how they simply asked “what can we do to sell you this car?” After going to 6 dealerships not a single one of them asked me that. The dealerships gave me price sheets and giant car books at me assuming I hadn’t done my homework. It’s nice to know the car buying process doesn’t always have to be awful. Just find the right dealer first, like this one.

Worst car buying experience in years. And I'm a returning customer. I have purchased 3 Acura's in the past. All the maintenance done at the dealerahip. How can you expect to sell cars if there is no finance manager on site?? And on a friday of all days. C'mon guys...Acura is supposed to be a premium brand. Definitely need to step it up..

Yes they kept my MDX for two years an never fix the problem!! They need to create the negative star for a situation like this. Its best to find a shade tree mechanic at least you would expect that type of service from them than high end dealership like Walker Acura. I WOULD LIKE FOR THE OWNER TO CONTACT ME!

I am currently having the worse experience with the service department. I had my car towed here on Friday. We received a text message from Leslie saying, we have your car and someone will contact you. No one called. I called on Monday to inquire about my car. They couldn't find it. I spoke to Tasha and Trey. I was transferred, placed on hold, sent to voicemail and then hung up on again. Monday evening at 6pm Trey called me back saying we found your car but cant find the key. When I called back, i couldn't get through because they were closed. I called today (Tuesday) just to follow up with Trey to inform him that i am following up with tow company and inform him that the car couldn't be towed without the key. I was hung up on and it seems that my number is blocked because everytime i try to call back the phone hangs up. You would think they Trey would call me back since the phone hung up in mid conversation but nope. This has been the worse experience ever. My car needs an ignition switch and the keys reprogrammed. Didnt think it would be this hard and have my car lost for almost 2 days. They really need training in customer service

0 stars is what the really deserve!!! Horrible customer service at the service department. They dont answer calls or return voicemails left. Save yourself the time and aggravation and just go to the Acura in Baton Rouge. A little further out than we like but well worth the drive. Less hassle, aggravation and they are actually helpful. They know the meaning of customer service, unlike these lazy people over in Metairie. They really dont deserve their jobs, there's plenty of well qualified people out there that'll do their job with a smile on their faces. Management needs to look into this, because reading these reviews, this seems to be a common problem at this dealership. Sad but so true....

Had oil change and tire rotation performed today at Walker Acura. They did a pretty good job but it took over an hour and a half and when the car came out the low tire pressure warning light was on. Had to send it back for air. They did wash the car and provide a comfortable area to wait. My service advisor was nice and took care of everything.

The service person was nice and polite. The problem (AC issue) was fixed at a reasonable price. At other places I’ve been to for repairs they washed the car or at the least, vacuumed it out as a courtesy. They didn’t do any of that. Also, there was a crack in the windshield that wasn’t there when I brought the car but was there when I picked it up.

I bought a brand new RDX almost two months ago, and it's now in service for the second time due to multiple technological malfunctions. I've contacted Acura Client Relations several times regarding the lack of quality in a vehicle I'm paying a lot of money for, and I've gotten no response. Buyer, beware. I'd give anything to be able to go back and make a different decision in regards to purchasing a new vehicle. If you're looking for an actual luxury dealership, Walker Acura is not it.

Everytime I get any service at this dealership they either don’t finish and I pick my car up unfinished or with new scratches inside or outside my car. This visit was no different. I am done with Acura and done with this dealership. I used to walk in immediately be greeted by name, drop my key, get another key and leave with a loaner MDX equivalent to what I already own. Now there is a different person everytime, it takes sometimes 30 minutes just to give someone your key, and no loaner vehicle at all. Today, I dropped my car off to get an oil change and get them to check my transmission for it shifting rough and also check my navigation screen which is blacked out on the sides and not showing color any longer. I leave my $50k vehicle in the incapable hands of the dealership in which I bought my car from with the expectation it will be returned to me fixed and clean. But no, I suppose this is entirely too much to ask to get what you pay for at this place anymore. I pick my vehicle up after paying $1000.35 I might add.. but they have supposedly changed my tires, brakes with turned rotors, serviced my transmission and done an oil change. Well, I pick up my vehicle still dirty, not vacuumed, new scratches on the outside, my steering wheel is scratched up, my rotors have rust on them so clearly have not been turned, my brake pads look no different in thickness, they were supposed to replace the “front” tires, they changed the back, my screen is still blacked out and not touched, and my vehicle is overall running horrible. To top everything off, the rough shifting has gotten worse, now the motor revs up without shifting and my steering is pulling hard to the right. And, got into my car with it blaring 102.5 hip hop and an extra 20 miles driven than when i dropped it off. They changed my driver settings for my driver 1, which took me quite awhile to get just right for myself being that i am very short and have back issues. So again to recap, I paid $1000.35 for nothing but an oil change and two new tires, the wrong tires I might also add. Acura is incapable of servicing cars and I feel sorry for them because I was planning on getting the new 2019 MDX in January when my car turns 5 years old. That will never happen now and I feel sorry for whoever is there when I come in first thing Monday morning to demand my car be fixed properly and be refunded the overcharged money that I was never asked if the amount was even okay before they “finished” the work. Mine as well go buy me a Kia, Im positive the service has to be be better than this place and if not atleast I didnt waste $50k on it if its not.

Personnel were very courteous and didn’t leave me in the dark. They treated me as if they wanted me to come back, which I will. The video they sent to my phone while I was waiting was very informative as to what type of condition my car is in. I don’t normally write reviews but for Walker Acura I had to do this. The’re Great! The reason for 4 stars vice 5 is because they forgot to wash my car. No big deal - It was already clean.

I went in for my 8:15 appt to get my regular maintenance done ( oil , filters, fluids, tires) and expected to wait 3 hours as usual because that is just how it goes. It doesn’t take that long to perform this service but it always did appt or no appt. I dreaded having to bring my car in. I never used the shuttle to leave the premise because I truly felt they would make me wait even longer if I was not present because they would think that I don’t need my car. Anyway, on March 6th, I went in for the maintenance told Shannon I had somewhere to be at 9:30. She promised me that I would not need a shuttle and I would have my car out with enough time to get to my appt. I was a bit skeptical but decided to give her a chance. She kept her promise and soon revealed that she was the new service director. She also checked me out 45 minutes later. She was pretty much taking on multiple roles throughout the process because she did everything but work on my car. She is on top of it! My entire outlook of customer service has been changed. Shannon knows her stuff, is friendly and super efficient! I will look forward to routine maintenance visits because I know that she values the customer’s time just as much as the customer. Acura, treat Shannon well because she is flipping your service department inside out and the change is much needed and appreciated!

I was pleasantly surprised by my experiences at Walker Acura today. When I went in for my service appointment to have a part replaced, I was warmly welcomed by the man working and he talked me through what would happen. They were very transparent while I was waiting and even washed my car afterwards for free. Also shout to the young woman (reddish/brown hair I think) who checked on my car for me and gave periodic updates, she was very professional and courteous.

I stopped by Walker Acura on a whim. I really had no intentions of buying an Acura, Wanda changed everything. From the moment I walked into the dealership until I drove away that evening and a brand new 2019 RDX Advanced, Wanda was right by my side. The process was painless and the service is impeccable. Wanda took the time to answer all of my questions and sit in the car and go through the technology with me. She allowed me to actually test drive the car in real life situations. She was patient, kind, efficient, and absolutely professional. I can say without a doubt, if I had not met Wanda when I walked in the door, I would not have purchased a car. My 2018 Acura IXL I purchased 3/12/18 broke down 11/14/18 and it is 12/19/18 and I still do not have my car. The axle disconnected from the drive shaft on a 7 month old car and they had to call the manufacturers to see what was wrong. I made a complaint with Customer Service, I have called to speak to the owner/manger several times and got the run around. To date no one has called me back. The worst policy I ever experienced,never buy an acura again, I couldn't replace my battery wich was under warranty beacouse they need my car,how I can bring my car if the battery was down they told me tow the car to us wich will cost me same money to buy a new battery,they dont even try to think that they could sold me a bad battery, I tried to recharge the battery with the rechargeable machine and didn't work out. I put that battery in another car and drove with that trying to recharge that battery just didnt take charge,acura employees told me your car drain the battery bring it here so I can check the car, so at the end I bought a new battery got the car to them and they said yes your car is good alternator is good and one more think when I first got the battery to them they they cant check the battery cause is to dead you need to charge and then come back,I was trying to explain them I cant even jump this car,when i conect the wire to jump car alarm start making noise i cant stop that even with 15 min leaving jump cable with all this noise I couldn't jump the car, so at the end it took me 2 days going back and forth and still I paied to get a new battery and when they check me in the system they said we dont have you here how did you get the battery and parts manager to all my questions had one answer I dont know))) very funny place just beacouse of a battery to change wich was under warranty

I went to Walker Acura on Veterans Blvd for a scheduled oil change on a new car 2018. The appointment was for 1:00pm, I got out of there at 4:45pm. Why schedule an appointment if it is going to take 3hours 45 minutes. That was ridiculous.

Staff that checked me in were helpful and nice and I would have given 5 stars except three things: 1.) During my hour wait, there were only coffee and water available to drink in the lounge. Granted this isn’t Lexus, Mercedes, or Audi, I would expect more from a dealership such as Acura; 2.) I was offered to have my car washed along with my 5000 mile service, but was warned that there was only guy washing cars so that it may take a little longer. It sounded like someone else should have been back there helping the one guy wash cars so that every customer’s car could be washed in a timely manner and not extend the already hour wait to have the oil changed and tires rotated; 3.) My tires were rotated, as they were suppose to be, but obviously not adequately filled with air as one tire read 33 PSI while the others were reading 35. These are all simple things to correct and go a long way to making a customer happy.

I purchased a used 2015 CLA 250 on 9-28-2018 from this dealership. They was supposed to replace the windshield and load the navigation system on my car. As of 11/21/2018 they have not installed windshield or the navigation. I have driven from Arkansas in which live twice to have these items replaced. No one has called and followed up with me about my windshield or navigation system since I purchased my vehicle the battery on key FOD is dead and needs to be replaced and the Manager told me that's my problem and I responsible to pay to have it replaced. I went in for some warranty work that was only suppose to take a short time. 3 hrs later I finally got to leave only because I happened to ask how much longer it was going to take. The key to my car was left on someone’s desk without them knowing so no one told me my car was ready. I had to occupy a 3yr old the entire time in the waiting area that no longer has an area for children, it was being used for applications. This was my second time having my car at this service center, the first time they wrecked it cleaning it. Now I understand why I was told to go to a Baton Rouge Acura from the place I bought my car from.

If I could give 0 stars I would! This place has some of the worst service I have ever seen! We have been working with them on an issue with a door lock since April and it is STILL not fixed!!! Supposedly brand new parts keep arriving “defective”. Seriously? Pretty sure it’s incompetence and not defective parts! You can’t even call and speak to the same person twice. Poor customer service. I left my car for almost two days. I never received a phone call informing me what’s going on with my vehicle. So after repeatedly calling and getting the response that I would get call a back which never happened. I decided to show up and asked to speak with (Dominick) the service manager. His response was short and dismissive. At no time did he empathize or apologize. You would think with a brand like Acura they would have higher standards. Someone should advise Dominick on how to conduct himself as a manager. I love my Acura but I will no longer get it serviced at this Acura of New Orleans location.

Great service advisors and service. I would not go anywhere else for your Acura. The waiting room is dated with an old television. They do have water bottles. Although they have coffee , they had no cream or sugar substitute. The chairs are worn . They use to provide snacks and soft drinks, and had a computer for you to use , but no more. I think they should make waiting for your car a better experience .

Whenever I bring my vehicle in for a problem, they assume they know what the problem is work on it, but then when I leave I have the same issue or an added issue. My vehicle was picked up and a courtesy vehicle was dropped off at my work and delivered back to me. I received a video of my inspection which heightened my level of trust. This is the second time i had an appointment for an oil change and took 3 hours to complete! When i arrived, was told it would take an hour. Also asked if i wanted the complimentary hand car wash at this time, i said yes. I had a sales appointment that took 1 hour and 45 minutes. When i returned to the service department, expected the car to be complete. I was told they were still working on it. It finally came out after 2.5 hours, looking from inside out, the car looked dirty still. I asked the sales associate if they washed it, she said yes. I paid the $78 for a basic oil change and when i walked outside the car wasn't washed! I told the associate, i already waited 2.5 hours, I'm going to wait to have the car wash. No apology, the workers actually looked annoyed that i requested the car to actually be washed. I was actually considering leasing a new car at walker acura but i can't deal with this dealership anymore and will not be a returning customer. Id rather drive to baton rouge and be a customer there. Does anyone know if Honda services acura cars?

I paid off the car in Nov 2018. Cancelled the Gap insurance. As of today I still have not received a refund check. I called back in March the lady in whose job it is to process this hadn't even done it. David the finance manager said she would back date it and send it out. NEVER happened. I called several more time for David to lie to me saying she was going to mail it the next day. I still have not received my money. SMH. Ridiculous. I scheduled service online. Of course it didn't take and my appointment was not actually scheduled. Horrible dealership. I will NEVER buy another Acura. They lie to you and give you the run around. They DO NOT care about their customers.

After a terrible experience with a service rep, I asked to speak to the manager. Patrick the service manager was able the help me with my issue. He was extremely nice and went out of his way to ensure I was satisfied. When I picked up my vehicle Melinda was there and she also went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. Unfortunately my experience with the service department was horrendous. . Not long after purchasing my MDX there was some type of computer/ software problem that left me stranded in Mississippi. I had to be towed to the dealership. The repair took over one week with no offer of a loaner vehicle and ,more importantly , no feedback at all regarding my vehicle. I was never contacted by the service department and I had to call daily with no response regarding my vehicle. A year later I encountered the same problem and again was stranded in Mississippi and had to be towed on Sunday evening to the dealership. I was hopeful that this time I would have a better experience. That was not the case. Again no one be contacted me to acknowledge that my vehicle was there or when they might have the opportunity to get to the vehicle. I never received a call from the service department. I had to call them daily and received no real feedback as to the problem and when the vehicle would be repaired. When I called 4 days after they had the vehicle my service representative was not available . Then I was told the vehicle was ready. I wonder how long it would have taken for someone to contact me to advise the vehicle was ready. If I ran my business like this I would be out of business. The dealership has the advantage of being the only Acura dealership in town. I will never use this service department again. Even though my purchase experience was great I will not purchase another vehicle from Walker.

Watch this dealership. My ex wife brought her car there because it wouldn’t crank, she was told it would cost 1200 for repair in which they charged her 175 for this information. Fast forward, After another mechanic looked at it the problem was fixed by tightening a ground bolt on the starter. It is so sad that you can’t trust people.

Wasn't really satisfied with the deal I was offered. I honestly have to compare my experience with Walker Acura vs. Vandergriff in Arlington, TX. At Vandergriff, I was offered so many options just to make my deal complete. I actually felt like they wanted my business and was willing to work with me any way possible to make sure I was ok with my purchase. It was totally opposite at Walker!!! It was if they were doing me a favor, every option I asked about, I was shut down with a... NO! I recommend going to a dealership that is willing to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase and it isn't Walker!!!

THIEVES,THIEVES,THIEVES!!! When I took my MDX in to get serviced and didn’t realize my wife left her earrings in the car. The earrings were not in plain sight. Sad to say but when when we got the car back the same day the earrings were gone! I contacted service and they called the manager Dominick. He said “why would you leave something like that in the car!?!? Already angered at the situation at hand I was not expecting to get a response from a manager like that. He said he would check the cameras and get back to me. Of course I’m still waiting for a phone call. It will be a week tomorrow....

Although a thorough inspection could not find the underlying issue causing the problem with my vehicle the experience was still a positive one due to the explanations and over all customer service given. Don actually cared about the issue and even though no real solution was able to be given the experience was a good one. I would recommend don and his team any day.

There was a code that needed to be reset on the radio and this was not done before I drove off. I called back and they said I had to come back to have it reset and there would be a $20 fee. I told them I was not paying the fee and they backed off. I drive back over there only to discover “the code” was on the side of my glove compartment and they could have told me where to look over the phone. Moral of the story...Know your products!

Went in for a recall that was supposed to last 40 minutes. They ran into an issue and ended up doing a complete fluid change on the car for no cost which was amazing! Only reason I wouldn't give a 5 is they never came and told me about the extra time, I had to ask. But other than that great service!

Had my 2017 Acura RDX serviced yesterday. This was the 15k mile service. Great job by Walker. Price was fair. Service was fast. Car cleaned. Could not have asked for anything more. The RDX is the best car that I've ever owned, and I've owned many in my long life. The Honda/Acura products have been the most reliable and enjoyable of them all. Pleasant change versus the horrid BMW dealership. Trying to get my wife to dump her BMW 3 series (poor reliability, outrages repair costs).

Their service isn’t warrantied. Meaning if they screw up and mess up my engine then they are not held liable. That is completely ridiculous. Also when I questioned the wear on my brakes where they said they are “green” like new (green like new, yellow worn down, red need to be changed), its been at least 3-4 years since they been changed and now I hear a squeak. There answer was “this tech is kind of lazy. He just eyes them and marks either green or red”. So I asked “Are they good or bad then?” Answer “if he marked green they should be good”. You can imagine the peace of mind they give their customers. Probably won’t go back Update 8/8/2018 Just lowered my review to one star. The technicians there are really lazy. They fill out the multi point inspection sheet without really inspecting. This time caught them red handed. I had personally changed out the cabin air filter just 3 days before and they “inspected” it as change soon. Cabin air filters should be changed out every year. Depending on how much the car is used. This time I’m definitely not going back. I also forgot to mention that during one of my previous visits one of my floor mats went missing. Never found and Acura did not replace.

They did not find or fix the actual issue that my car was having after I had it towed to the dealership and they had it for a week! I had to bring it to my usual dealership in Florida and they found the bad sensor issue right away and fixed it the following week! They also had on the receipt that they cleaned the car but it was not cleaned either. I was disappointed in the customer service too.

I wish every dealership operated this way! We went to the dealership knowing we wanted an SUV, but hadn't decided yet on brand or model. We had been to a couple of dealerships already and this was our last stop for the day. When we got there, I noticed it was about an hour before they closed. I expected to be brushed off since we didn't come in with a particular model in mind and was just looking. The sales staff took their time and still showed us the models we were interested in seeing and were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. We ultimately found the SUV we wanted with all of the options we were looking for. Pricing was excellent compared with other dealerships we had been to throughout the day. Financing was quick and painless. Everything was explained beyond my satisfaction regarding warranty as well as financing options. I definitely will recommend my friends and family and will be back for my next purchase!
