I was searching for sometime for the right truck. I looked at hundreds, inquired about a dozen, came across one at Sterling as I was connected with Cody Sonnier. Not only was Cody very informative but when he asked what truck I was interested in, he PERSONALLY took the time to drive to the Opelousas lot and pick up the truck and drive it back, so that I could see it. It is beyond words how the negotiations were taking place before I arrived. Cody went above and beyond to make sure i was in the comfortable price range all the way through. It didn't stop there. His sales managers and the financing department made final calls on the numbers and the purchase price along with my note, came back unexpectedly low. Very nice helpful staff, they quoted me a price and when I said I would go some where else they weren't rude or mean, they even gave me the part numbers for parts I needed to make it easier on my mechanic.

Poor customer service. I never had to look into my spare compartment until last night when I got a flat. Towed to a tire center only to find out they hadn't put my lug key in the vehicle when I bought it. Now I have to tow my vehicle from Breaux Bridge to them just to change my tire for something THEY FORGOT TO PUT IN MY CAR. They had no interest in helping or making good on it. They barely seemed to see how it was an issue for me. Will not do business with them again!

From the start Chase at Sterling Kia was ready to get the deal done. He asked what I was looking for, told him what I wanted to pay and I drove off the lot with 2020 Kia Soul. In the end of the process when I went to get the papers sign Chase had an emergency that came up but he made sure someone was there to finish it up. Absolutely horrendous customer service. Went through 3 salesmen. The first guy priced me the wrong package of the vehicle I wanted after repeating myself from day 1 the exact model, trim and accesories I wanted. Talking to him over the phone they still acted like the price was for the Package I wanted...so with that price in mind I started saving for a good down payment to seal the deal. When I was ready I called back and the giy I was dealing with had left for another dealership. So enters guy number 2. I sent him the price I was given amd what I wanted. He told us he didn't have any with the package we wanted and we would have to wait for one to come in which was fine I wasn't in a hurry. Luckily I stopped by since we were close one day because by talking with him I learned that he didn't even know anything about the vehicle in question plus made up features to make up for his lack of knowledge. Not to mention ubenounced to us he had us waiting on a vehucle that wasn't what we wanted. Concerned that I knew more about the vehicle than him I then contacted a superintendent who took down what I wanted AGAIN and gave me to salesman of my choosing. Enter saleman number 3... whom finally understands what I want and quotes me a price thats outrageously higher than what we have been told for 2 months and tells me a lie saying there is only 4 left in the entire country (2 in Arkansas, 1 in Oklahoma amd 1 in Tennessee) with our specs and thats best price we will find anywhere due to them being "limited". Enter JP Thibadeaux in New Iberia. Who not only had the vehicle with everything we wanted but beat Sterling's price to the point that its laughable. I will never do business with Sterling again and I surely hope no one has been treated like this. Very unprofessional, misleading with info and lying to boot.
Took a while but got the job done
I was in the market for a first time vehicle for my daughter. We had a car that was purchased through family, but wanted something a little bit more updated for her and get her through college. I searched long hours and weeks online before I decided to visit Sterling Kia Lafayette on Southcity Parkway. It was there we met Tyler Santopietro, who went above and beyond finding the right car for my daughter! Making sure and paying attention to every detail that would be the perfect fit for her, but also that my daughter loved the car was really important to Tyler!! She did just that, found the perfect car, spent extra time with us and a lot of it, making sure we were all happy! Service after the sale if needed is a huge factor, and we definitely got that, and I know if we need her she is always available anytime and extremely helpful!!! 100 percent satisfied with the sale and service!!! Depends on who's working. Last visit for oil change, was great. I went there a few months ago for an issue with a tire and the "man" behind the counter was rude and condescending because i didn't know about a key to unlock my wheel. This is one of the best, if not the best automotive service departments I've been to. 5 stars for the service department staff. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and professional. I went in for an alignment about a month ago and had trouble with the car still pulling to the left. They handled my problem with ease, and did a great job with the service to my vehicle. They even greased my suspension for free! Go get your car serviced by these guys!

We ended up looking at multiple vehicles from different dealers over about a month. by chance, Sterling Kia was the first dealer we stopped at in this process. We ended up purchasing our vehicle at Sterling for the quality of their product and the helpfulness of their staff. Ryan Francis was a very knowledgeable salesman who worked to make sure we were able to get exactly what we wanted. Ryan was patient and always promptly answered any questions we had during the process. I would and have already recommend Ryan Francis and Sterling Kia to others.

I'm going to start this by saying I am truly sorry for this happening because I thought sterling ford in opelousas and all sterling dealerships were different. I bought another work truck this year from sterling in opelousas with the impression that we would still be entitled to free oil changes. I even asked the service manager, sales associate, finance manager, and sales manager if they still offered said program and I was expressed by not one, not two, not three, but four people I felt that I could trust that it was still active. I went today to get one of the nine vehicles I have purchased in 3 years serviced and was denied. I know what you may be thinking, you have 9 vehicles what is an oil change to you? The money aside I feel taken advantage of, lied to, and embarrassed to the fact that they took advantage of a consumer. When I brought this matter to the dealership even after the history I have with them they played plausible deniability even with recordings to save face. I am completely disgusted with how the sterling dealerships handled the matter and I expressed to them being in market for yet another vehicle for my business I would never use them again. I highly recommend no on shop at any sterling facilities because behind the persona they do not respect or support the consumer, their responsibility, and worst yet Acadiana and what we stand for. March of 2017 I bought a brand new Kia Optima my salesman Chase Eaglin was very knowledgeable about his product and features. When we test drove it he explained the turning capabilities and the features the car offered in depth. I asked him the crash rating and he explained where the steel came from in this car and the safety feature of the engine if a head on collision was to take place. I have no idea why I asked about the crash rating because I'd never been in an accident in any of my cars until October 2017! Yep total loss my car. Chase helped me every step of the way and even followed up with me to see how he could assist but I already had it in mind to purchase another car from Sterling Kia with Chase Eaglin. He's very attentive and he knew in a very short time what I liked so the cars and colors he chose for me were perfect. All I had to do was narrow it down. I was given red carpet treatment. I'd visit this dealership and my salesman a thousand times over. I'm once again a proud owner of the Kia Optima 2018 all thanks to Chase. He's the best!

This is, by far and away, the best place to buy a car, and to get your car fixed. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they even spent an hour showing my wife what each button did in her new car. Whatever my next car is, it will most likely come from Sterling.
They don’t even deserve 1 Star, but I can’t post a comment without selecting a star. Poor GSM and new car manager, pleas have a better HR training on how to respect their employees. Shady about how you get paid, 25% front gross commissions but you can’t evan get a commission voucher from them. They told my wife is a guaranteed pay but she signed paperwork work for commission. Bad place to work for!!!!

In June of this year I purchased a brand-new Kia Forte that was unfortunately totaled by a person at the end of September. Having to revisit the car buying experience such a short time later was difficult to process and working many hours brought a level of frustration in having limited time. I was fortunate that I found an excellent opportunity with Azzam Sobh at Sterling Kia to step back into almost an identical model with only a slight out of pocket expense. Additionally, Azzam was very patient, consistent, detail oriented and continually communicative in working with me as I finalized with the insurance company to come in from Baton Rouge to purchase the car, which took almost two weeks. Just bought an Optima with Trent as my salesperson. Trent was extremely helpful throughout the process and the sale went very smooth. I got my notes to where I wanted and then finished all the paperwork with Rodney who was also very good and experienced at his profession. Would buy from here again, and with the wife looking at the Niro line, we just might!
Just picked up my car from being in the shop for a week due to an engine recall. Lauren in service has been extremely courteous & Casey the manger in service was very nice to pay for my “ inspection sticker “ that was missing when I picked up my car. Even though they gave me the money to go across town to get a new sticker, it’s the point of someone being dishonest/ stealing working on your car, the gas and time I had to be away from work.

Ask for Trent! Good guy. I can't count the number of cars and negotiations over the years. The process hasn't changed. Negotiate, salespersons goes to manager, comes back with not even something close to the "bottom line," negotiation, go to manager, maybe strike a deal, maybe not. Get ready to walk, in comes the manager from behind the scenes. It's tedious, manipulative, and usually they can cut another $!K, but the buyer relents. I would have walked, but my bottom line was "Is it close enough." Trent made a predictable process enjoyable, especially when, on the second run to the manager, he said, "I have good news," and it wasn't my number. Have to admire the technique.

We bought a car from Kia Optima from Lafayette , Louisiana and Brett was our salesman, the whole experience was wonderful and he was very knowledgeable about all of the cars and he knew exactly how to find what we were looking for and offer us what we wanted and needed instead of offering us what he wanted to sell us, I would definitely recommend this dealership and Brett is your guy, he was refreshing , real and he wasn't intimidating . There are some salesman that put pressure and you walk away regretting giving them your number , but Brett was someone that you want to visit again , and he will be who we call when we need help with our car or when we buy another car . He exceeded our expectations for Kia!
I dealt with Cody and he was seriously the best! I found a car I LOVED online. Called Cody and I explained my price range and what I would like my note to be. He had all the paperwork and the car ready for me within 2 hours.(I live an hour away) My note is exactly what I wanted it to be! Buying a new car seemed stressful for me but he really made it easy. Best service ever received buying a new car...Chase Eaglin was our saleperson... I didnt have to ask many questions. He explain everything from top to bottom...and the few questions I had ...he had an answer. He was awesome!!! Everyone was so nice and friendly...definitely will be back again.

Matthew is a great guy to deal with at kia. He was amazing nice and kept working with us til we found a car. I would buy another car with Matthew again if and when I trade my car in. I been with kia since 2015 and they are always nice and there if you need help. Matthew kept us there when I wanted to go to another car lot. Like I said he is really good and so helpful. Very Dissatisfied! Just bought an 2015 Optima in June 2018 and I will never recommend or purchase from here again. I have had to take my vehicle in for sensors every month since I got it. Plus my tail light housing had a leak from day one but I couldn't tell until the next day when after it rained and the light housing was full of condensate. Plus the carpet is black and I didn't notice the cigarette burn marks until the first time I vacuumed it out. Certified pre-owned my butt. I think this vehicle has been flooded. Sensors going out and a musty smell that I can't get rid of. I will go to another Kia dealer for warranty issues which I need to do again already. I contacted the Kia US headquarters to make a complaint and nothing came from that either. Do not buy a Kia! Save time and money. Edit: After a year of ownership I can tell you without a doubt to stay away from this place and Kia in general. They sold me the biggest POS ever. I had issues from day 2 and it keeps getting worse. The service department messed up my battery now I'm out several hundred for a battery that you cannot find at any automotive store in Lafayette. Horrible customer service! Nothing but issues with the staff since purchase. This car was certified preowned with parts missing. Burns in the carpet and headliner. I was told the headliner would be replaced and I think they charged me for a sloppy fix, If you could even call it that. They do not care about their customers. I'm going to trade my POS in this weekend even if it costs me money!

Let me start by saying my salesperson Jasmine was BEYOND WORDS OF AWSOME she was so helpful! If this was about her 5 stars wouldnt amount to how great she was! Now here is the reason Sterling Kia Lafayette Louisiana I purchased my car and like any place they service your car before you leave with it! Well Ive been calling for 2 months now about when will I need to change my oil (They dont have anything in my car that says when) and my car has sirus xm raido which I was told was free the 1st 3 months! Well they never programed it. Everytime I call I get the run around and placed on hold one guy mentioned he would call me back never did. The next day samething. I went there only for them to tell me oh we close at 12 and we only have one guy working in service sorry come back another day!. Just a bunch of bull! I will NEVER do business with them again even more so now knowing that Jasmine is no longer working there! Which by the way was told to me when I mention my raido didnt work. As if it waa her job to make sure it did! She doesnt work in service so what if she did it still needs to be fixed and done.
We went to go look at new vehicles and our salesman Cody Sonnier was amazing! He answered all our questions and was very patient. He did not try to pester us to make a rash decision just to make a sale. We feel he was looking out for our best interest and wanted us to be 100% satisfied with our option! The BEST vehicle buying experience ever! For several years I have had my 2015 Kia Soul serviced by the TERRIFIC service department at Sterling Kia. So it was only natural that when I was looking for another vehicle I turned to Sterling Kia. In my 40 plus years of buying vehicles I can honestly say that my recent purchase of a 2019 Kia Sorento EX was THE best and most pleasant buying experience ever. And it is all due to Don Jenkins. He is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. After showing me the features of the vehicle, answering all my questions and going for a test drive we returned to his office for a bit of negotiation on the sales price. This was a unique experience for me in that I NEVER felt hurried or pressured to make a decision. In fact, it was more like 2 friends visiting than anything else. In the end I felt like I got a great product at a very good price. And I owe it all to Don. I had an excellent experience with Carlos! I was interested in a vehicle and was 2.5 hrs away so we let him know we wanted to put the deal together before making the trip. He was very easy to work with and very transparent. Once we got there we test drove the car to make sure it was what I wanted. With some negotiation we can to an agreement for a good deal on my trade and wrapped it up quickly. Ron the Finance manager was awesome as well. Warm, inviting environment that made you feel like family. They waited for us to finish the deal since we arrived close to closing. Also, lifetime complimentary oil changes if I'm in the area :) Great experience!
