We had a great experience with Royal Buick GMC. Quentin was our salesman. He couldn’t have been more polite and knowledgeable. There is absolutely no pressure with Royal. We called them on the second day of shopping, told them we were on our way, to buy. Vehicle was pulled to the front for us to look over again. The service department gave my husband and I the run around even though our vehicle is under warranty and we experienced an issue two months after purchasing our truck. His AC has been out for the whole entire summer and we finally brought it in after having to call to 7, yes SEVEN, different people to make things happen!!! That's not all... After we brought our vehicle in they said they cannot service our vehicle. I am typically not a person to complain, but this is awful customer care! I will be telling everyone I know about this and complaining on other forums as well due to the lack of quality care of the service department. Get it together!

Service is really bad. I turned my car in on Monday 9/25 at 9am for an appointment I made two weeks prior to about vibration in my car. They told me they will call me later to give the status and they didn't I called several times and to leaves voicemail and message with receptions and have yet to get a call back. It's now Wednesday 9/27 and still calling everyday to get the status and still nothing. I was not offered a loaner for keeping my car in the shop for several days. All of this work was under warranty. I ask for a courtsey shuttle to take me to my work in Denham Springs and i was told they don't drive that far. Gerry lane gmc is further and they have taken me to Denham Springs. I will not take my Vehicle in for service at this location. Very disappointed!! I will be calling GMC corporate on this matter.

I will never buy a vehicle from GMC, nor any of their dealerships. I signed for a vehicle for my wife and she was supposed to pick it up 2 days later. When I got back from my business trip it was a completely different car(different VIN). They said it was no longer available and that they would give her something comparable. They ended up trading a DVD package for a tow package. I dont own anything that needs to be towed. They made it seem that we had already signed everything so she took it. When I got back, I was furious and they did not even care. Very disappointed and I would recommend everyone stay away from this dealership.

Between Gaby, Quentin and the entire Royal team I can’t thank them all enough! I was always given the best advice, even if not in their favor, and persistent help and assistance. Even right up until the end when I signed (well after closing time), re-printed my paper work and started signing again, because they found a little bit better situation for me! Two weeks of looking and comparing and not once did they forget about me or treat me like just a customer. Thank ya’ll!!!!! I love my new Buick Regal Sportback... can’t tell me nothing!

on dropping my vehicle off to be serviced, I was promised my vehicle would be ready by the end of the day.i dropped my vehicle off around 7:45am and was back to pick it up around 5 pm and was told I would have to leave it over night and it may be ready the next afternoon. I asked if any loaner vehicle was available for my travel back home and to work the next morning and was told no loaner vehicle was available. I informed them that I had no way to get back and forth to work if they had my truck and was reassured no loaner was available, but my truck would have to stay overnight. Needless to say, the work was never complete on my truck due to me not having any other form of transportation. I would have brought my truck back, but did not have a way to work or back to the dealership. I was very disappointed with my service and would definitely not return to this location for any services in the future.

The dealer was unwilling to service my vehicle and was not aware of the recall status of my 2014 Serria SLT Crew. I should have brought the vehicle back to mossy motors. Capitol is clearly only concerned with high volume high margin service. I had to instruct the service advisor to have the EPS module reflashed. The reflash however did not fix anything.

Full of lies!!!! Worst dealer around!!! Not only is the sales dept bad, by telling you they can sell a certain vehicle when they can't. But what the kicker is, after delivery of the vehicle you then realize that the Service dept is just as bad. Lies after lies. Will tell you that they worked on the vehicle when they haven't. Plus so many other unethical practices it is not worth your time to purchase anything from this dealer. It would be better to cut off any limb from your body!!!! From unsatisfied customer

I went in looking to buy a new truck, when I asked about a price the salesman told me a number that I knew through research was hundreds of dollars overpriced, when I called him out on it he jumped up stormed off and then yelled in the lobby ' I can't deal with this kid anymore', now not only has he insulted me by calling me a child he also made me feel like I wasn't a valued customer, this experience has definitely altered my views on this dealership. After this altercation I was going to leave but the sales manager did a great job trying to rebuild the relationship, he did the best he could, but while i was waiting for paperwork to fill out the rude salesmen kept eyeing me and then once I had completed my paperwork I was told it would be fueled and detailed, over an hour later was told it wasn't detailed and they still had not filled it. This misleading and relative prejudice towards me was absolutely uncalled for and unacceptable.

I have no idea about sales, but I had a horrible experience with the service dept. I took my truck in because of a vibration when going over bumps, and my brake lights on one side were not working. They kept my vehicle for a week, causing me to have to rent a vehicle. They did not fix the problem. The service guy told me the vibration was normal. He then told me I needed a new ($450) brake light assembly because the "mother board" was shot. MOTHER BOARD?? Really?? He almost insisted I let them fix it before the truck left the shop. After spending $220 there for absolutely nothing, (plus the $200 for the rental) I immediately went to parts supply house and bought $10 worth of light bulbs. Problem fixed. TRUE STORY! They will never get my business again!

If you are pressed for time avoid this place at all cost. I rolled in one cold morning with a brand new 2500 denali I bought from another dealer in Houma. There was 2 people in the waiting area waiting for their vehicles. The service rep told me a one hour wait for the first oil change on my truck. Being that it is a brand new truck i figured I would get it serviced at the dealership. When I Stepped into the waiting area the two people in there both said I hope you don't have anything to do today. They have been changing oil for the last 1.5 hours on their vehicles. i laughed and just thought they were exaggerating. About 30 minutes later the one lady was called her vehicle was ready. Two hours went by and my truck was still sitting in the service lane. The one guy left in the waiting room was pissed. The service rep came out and appalogized and said that they were just rotating his tires then his vehicle would be ready. An hour later his vehicle was still not ready. Now sitting in the waiting room for almost 3 hours and seeing my truck still in the service lane outside waiting to go into the shop I asked the service rep how many tires the gentleman's truck have because they were rotating them for an hour now. I then told him to please give me the keys to my truck and cancel my oil change because life was too short to spend at the GMC dealer. I then went to a quick lube and they literally changed my oil, rotated my tires, and changed the air filter in under 12 min!!!! I don't understand why this dealer takes SOOOOOOOOOOOOO long for every little thing. STAY AWAY!!

I went to get oil change and steering wheel off center fixed. After the repair, the steering wheel was off center to the other side after alignment. I Call the service back to get another appointment. The lady answer and I was told to bring the vehicle back on Monday no appointment necessary. On Monday, I was told I did not have appointment and I need one before they can fix the vehicle again by the service clerk who was very rude. You need to fix it right the first time and get your people straight whether appointment is needed or not. I bought 2 trucks here within a year. And very disappointed with the service. GMC maybe professional grade but this dealer are not...SAD! I will give Gerry Lane a try next time.

The transmission in a 2016 GMC was having issues for the second time in a year. On Thursday it was at the point it can't shift gears so Capitol Mack insisted he make an appointment in order to make sure it doesn't take too much time which he did. The appointment was for the following Monday. He called on Monday afternoon and was told they hadn't started on it. Here we are Wednesday afternoon and the truck has not been touched. He called his contact at Capitol Mack which stated he'd call right back but after an hour and 45 minutes with no call he went up there and asked to speak to the Service Manager. Once the conversation began first the manager he accused my husband was yelling, which he wasn't, then had the audacity of telling him "if you don't like it, take your truck and leave." How's that for customer service! Now he's told they only have 1 transmission tech and he'll be the next one. Of course, which day that would be he didn't say. This is our second GMC and our LAST GMC. Capitol Mack will never see our faces ever again! Do not buy a vehicle from them and expect to get it serviced there. They SUCK!

Let's play true or false. Capitol Buick's service department cares about the customers. FALSE! Capitol Buick's service department, with a scheduled appointment, forces you to wait over 4 hours for a simple oil change. TRUE! The service department doesn't do a balance (with tire rotation) when asked, but instead does an alignment, a more expensive service, in order to prolong your issue, so you'll return needing more services. True! I'm impressed with their scheme, but at this point, I literally refuse to go back to Capitol Buick. I've been there for normal maintenance numerous times and have an issue with them every single time. This recent visit was the icing on the cake for me, because I had to take a day off of work 3 weeks in a row due to their inability to complete the services I asked for in one visit. In conclusion, the service department is absolutely horrible, and I only give one star because I'm forced.

We were looking for a truck and had contacted several dealers. All of the dealers were very nice, some nicer than others. However, with all the pricing I could not get them down to what I wanted. So, thinking my husband had spoken with someone at Royal I overlooked the email. After three days of silence from other dealers Royal calls and asks if we had seen the email. I explained and apologized for not getting back with them. In return I gave the info on the particular vehicle I was looking for and she, Kathryn said she would email me shortly. I called her within a few minutes and told her what I wanted to pay and that if they couldn't do better, no worries but didn't want the haggle back and forth. She emailed and said if I was serious to come in. We did that Friday and there was no haggling just a straight forward BEST price! Wow! She got what I wanted plus some but the point is this, I got a better price for a better truck. And she knew just what we needed to do and get. Thanks Royal! Terrible Service Department-- They don't call you to let you know your parts are in; you have to call them. You make an appointment to get the part installed and they tell you if will be done in half a day. Well that really means it will take at least two days to change out the part. And when you ask why it is taking so long, the service rep tries to make you feel inferior because of course "I don't know what it takes to change out the part". That is your job; you should know that and the time it takes to do it. They tell you they will give you a loaner car; that does not happen. I guess if you are paying out of pocket for the repairs, you may receive better service but it the problems are covered under warranty, customer service is out the window.

Where do I start....This was my worst car-buying experience I've ever had. The salesperson was the poorest I've encountered in car sales. He lacked any interpersonal skills - made little if any small talk. He didn't seem comfortable at his job. To sum it up, when we went to buy the car we sat and waited an hour for it to be detailed, while he sat in plain view eating his lunch and then resting his head on the desk to take a nap. The other sales people talked to us more than him. The environment was sterile and just plain void of any friendliness. There was no music playing and in fact we sat back and listened to a couple of sales people have a conversation complete with cursing about their evenings and lives. Just not what I expected to experience buying a $60k auto. Weak, weak, weak!!! Oh, at the end of the purchase we were given a zip lock bag with our owner's manual with a bunch of post it notes on it. No case to hold these items. Also, we were given no follow up on service at all.

The customer service was unbelievably terrible. We met with a salesman on a Saturday, stayed in touch about purchasing a used vehicle. Made an appointment and returned the following Wednesday (4 days later). When we showed up, I asked for the salesman we had been dealing with and was told “he no longer works here”. Keep in mind we had spoken to him 2 hours prior to confirm our appointment with all intentions on purchasing the vehicle. We were assigned a new salesman to help us with our purchase. It was very obvious he was new and hadn’t been in the business long. He couldn’t answer any of the questions we had and was not interested in finding out the answers. When we sat down to start talking numbers, we were told so many wonderful things including a great price, which all turned out to be false promises. The financial manager apologized for the new salesman and said “he’s new and clearly doesn’t know any better”. After 4 hours of empty promises and talking in circles, we got nowhere. We walked away without a deal and were promised to receive a phone call with more negotiable numbers the next morning..... surprise, surprise, 1 week later and we still haven’t heard back from them. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone! Find a company with employees and managers who care about their customers and provide honesty and respect.

Fine experience but honestly I will never go back because it is not worth it since they raised their prices because they changed ownership, it used to be $50 and it is now $70 for the base, not synthetic oil. It took 45 minutes which is good for a dealership, but honestly next time I will just go to Benny's because it is $80 for their nicest oil, they do it while you are sitting in your car and it takes 15 minutes, and you get a free car wash when you get your oil changed at Benny's. I don't have anything against the dealership I have gone there for a while, but it is just not worth the time for the money any more, i liked it better when it was capitol Buick.

Car did not start this morning and I had to have it jumped off I had just purchased a new battery about nine months ago from Capitol GMC Buick . The battery was checked.and was told that was probably corrosion from battery acid it appears They clean the terminal But left the corrosion down the side of the battery case and at the bottom of the battery . I also found that the cap On the windshield washer reservoir was broken off . Not happy .

Excellent customer service from the Service Department. Showed up for an appt w 3 small kids. They were very upfront that it would take an hour to even get to it to diagnose the problem and that I could reschedule if needed. I told them I would wait bc I cannot drive three babies around in Aug with no AC. They informed me 20 mins later that a tech was looking at it. Ten mins later, they told me the problem had the parts in stock and that it would take 2 hours to fix. They updated me twice during the repair and got it done in exactly 2 hours. The tech worked through lunch to get me out of there as soon as possible. I appreciated their efforts. Will definitely go back if I need my SUV serviced again.

I brought the truck in for a leak on the windshield washer pump, and intermittent cruise control issue. The windshield washer still seems to be working, but he cruise control is still having the same problem now that I have sent the truck out of state for work. Looks like we will have to have it in a repair shop again as soon as we can. It's not always just replacing parts so that you can sell them. Sometimes you need to actually put the computer down and look at the vehicle. It could have been something as simple as a loose connection, which is why I usually don't make the dealership my first choice for a repair. The vehicle will never comeback without a parts list of what was replaced, and those are usually the easiest parts to get to, that might cause the problem. With the technology that the technicians have at their disposal, they have forgotten how to think for themselves, to troubleshoot for themselves, maybe your people need to step back from technology a bit and try to learn what it's like to be a real mechanic that can troubleshoot without a computer.

Also, scheduling services has become ridiculous. A week's wait for a simple light bulb change makes no sense.

These people make it easy to buy a car. They send you cookies and cards afterward and get you feeling great about their dealership. Then, the moment you get an odd sound in your vehicle, you have to beg and plead for an appointment. Then, you have to just show up and agree to pay the first day of a rental because the sound has now gotten so bad, you're worried about driving the car but they still don't have a loaner. Then, they take 10 days to do a four hour job, because they ignore everything you told them on your first consultation. Eventually, they find the problem (which stems from the fact that the splash guard wasn't properly fastened to the car, a fact they knew when you took it in). Then, they shaft you with the bill for repairs and stick you with the rental car bill--even though the car is brand new and still under warranty! I blame GMC for being a company that doesn't stand by its car buyers, but I also blame Capitol Buick for not covering the costs and making this right, especially for a brand new customer who has to buy a new car every year for work. Never again.

I have bought two vehicles from here the first experience with me Sam was wonderful the second experience has been a living hell I would not recommend buying from here they forget to get you to sign paper work and then punish you buy not sending your tags they are suppose to inspect their vehicles before putting them on the lot they do not the used car sales manager is extremely lazy and has zero to no interaction with you. I would go the extra miles to Gonzales next time
