We were shopping for a car and Devin Ramsey was our Sales Person. We decided on a used car with low mileage. We were told that the car had an extra key and the owners manual. When we picked the car up it was cleaned. The following day we called for Devin, but he was out. We discovered that the owners manual was not in the car and we were wanting that extra key. The cleaning for the outside of the car was great but the inside windshield was grimy once we noticed it at an angle with the tape residue from the price stickers not even being addressed. We contacted Devin's manager twice by email and no one has every responded to us until they sent us a request to give them a review. This dealership has no service after the sale, the only reason I gave a 2 star was because the car we purchased had such low mileage.

This place will never be the same without Charlie Strickland. And you know you did somebody wrong when you have to lie and tell his customers "He retired" or "He's not here at the moment." He was the reason my family and many others were customers there. 20+ years...not many dealerships are lucky enough to have loyal trustworthy employees. You're only as good as the people you surround yourself with. Enjoy the good ratings while you can. It won't last now. Shame on you Richard's Honda.

Made my appointment with the app and arrived as scheduled. I then was greeted by Jolei and other staff members with smiles and friendliness. Service was quick, proficient, and helpful being that after they performed a multipoint inspection it was seen that I needed new windshield wipers. While waiting I also spoke with someone in parts about something I wanted and they said they would order it just to have it in stock so if I make up my mind to buy it I wouldn't have to wait for it( I didn't get his name but he was very nice). Richards Honda has an overall professional and friendly atmosphere! Also s/o to Alex, Devon, and Charles!

Hated everything about this place. Bought a car there on Saturday and it was THE WORST experience I've ever had. When we finally finished it was too late for them to clean and detail the car that day and they asked that i bring it back on Monday morning. Said it would take a couple of hours and gave me a replacement car in the meantime (one thing they did right). Dropped it off at 8:30am and come 3:30pm i still hadn't heard from them. Texted and called multiple times to no response. Finally just called the service department and told the nice lady over the phone what was going on and she tracked my sales rep down for me. Miracle of miracles i got a call within 5 minutes! Car is suddenly ready. When i bought the car it was noted that the tint was illegal and they offered to have it removed which i took them up on. MISTAKE! Got the car back, they literally tore off the tint and left a horrible sticky residue all over the windows! you could see the spots where they stopped and restarted pulling all over every window. they windows wont even roll down anymore because of the residue. And they left it on the sunroof because, and i quote, "because it's a sunroof!" no other reason. They didn't call me to ask if it was ok or anything. They just did it. The inside of the car wasn't cleaned AT ALL. They said they would clean the upholstery and surfaces and nothing was touched. At that point i was so tired of waiting for them to do anything and dealing with them that i would rather drive away and let someone else deal with it rather than walk back in that place. The low tire pressure light came on while i was headed there that morning, and I told them about it, and guess what comes on while i head home?? I don't even think they washed the outside of the car. I also asked them to look into a setting that should be there and wasn't, he assured me they would have it taken care of, but the setting is still gone. Far as i can tell, they changed the inspection sticker, ripped off the tint, and handed the car back. All this in 7 HOURS. Horrible place and lazy people. Do not go here. Go to Team Honda. Everyone i know in the car business said Richard's car places are terrible and now I agree! Also, while I was there they had me go on my phone to leave a review while we were sitting there so don't trust any of these good ones.

Would give this place a negative review if I could. Bought my sisters car and they said they would remove the tint and clean and detail the car. They left every window sticky with pieces of tint and said,”That’s the best we can do.” Didn’t detail the car AT ALL! Horrible service and obviously doesn’t care about their customers.

I'm a single woman who knows zero about cars. Yep, I'm ripe for the picking for unscrupulous auto repair shops who could tell me that my left external widget sensor was broken and it would cost $3700 to replace, and how would I know the difference? So thank goodness, I know a place to take my car for service where I ALWAYS know I'm going to be treated honestly and not talked down to, by a team of service advisors like Kelly who will explain what's going on, what your options are, how long to expect it to take, and even what to expect, in advance, at your next scheduled maintenance appointment! They even have coupons to help with the price of some services like oil changes and tire rotations. I always appreciate the comfortable sofas with two TVs to choose from, hot coffee, and free internet while I wait. I started using Richards Honda for service in 2009, and I won't go anywhere else because they treat you like family. Most of the time when you read reviews, you're going to hear from people who aren't happy with the company. I feel like companies that do RIGHT by their customers deserve a review, too. I am a first-time buyer who needed a car due to my 2006 Pontiac G6 breaking down for the third time in one month. After visiting other dealers in Baton Rouge, I visited Richards because I wanted to see their selection of Honda Civics. As soon as my friend and I pulled up, we were met by Demarcus who was friendly and helpful (even though he was in the middle of another sell). He put us in the care of Bobby, who was warm and professional. Both salesmen made my test driving experience a joy, and they tried to accommodate my very specific needs. At the end of the day, I left with the 2016 Honda Civic EX (black on black) with low mileage. They worked with me to get the car of my dreams, and for that--and that pastalaya--I am eternally grateful. If you want the attentive care you deserve, GO TO RICHARDS!

My initial experience at Richards Honda was a rough one. The vehicle I had made an appointment to test drive and potentially buy had been sold without my knowledge upon arrival. The dealership not only took action and swiftly reprimanded those involved, but they also apologized profusely and proceeded to work with me on getting a better deal. They really came through and made right on their promises and quickly found a new vehicle for me offered at a great price. I would not only like to thank Richards Honda for their patience and effort, but I would also reccommend others to check out their inventory as well.

service was terrible. i went in to the service department after i had a wreck, and i listed all the things i specifically needed. it wasn’t too much to ask for just a few simple things. for two days they had my car and they only got one of the few things i needed done. i was beyond upset. they said they completed the other things but when i got in, it was apparent that nothing i asked for was done. i’m beyond disappointed with the customer service and the service department. there wasn’t ever any clear communication. never use their service department again.

Just bought a car at Richards Honda a few days ago. Valerie Jackson was a phenomenal saleswoman to work with. She is down to earth and very good at what she does. She was great about answering questions and has a way of getting you what you want without being pushy or over the top. It was truly a pleasant experience all around. You always wish you could get a better deal on a car or better incentives, but I do think Richards Honda has fairly comparable/ competitive prices and good customer relations. There aren't many bells and whistles there, but I'd honestly prefer that too an obnoxious pushy salesman- which was WONDERFUL to not deal with. Mike, the general manager, was also nice to meet and work with. So, if you're looking for a car, ASK FOR VALERIE! She was so nice to work with!

I wish I could give 0 stars honestly. I purchased my car in dec. and had to get 2 tires replaced already, but that’s not my issue. Dealing with the service and parts dept. was the WORST experience I have ever had. I went through the same situation twice. The first time I took the apologies and the free oil change they gave to make up but the second time around I can not be that forgiven. I live 2 hours away from the dealership and having to wait 3 hours after scheduling and confirming my appointment was absolutely ridiculous. After speaking to the ast manager, who blamed everything on the new guy who went and picked up the wrong tire, she told me “ well you are getting a tire”, referring as if the tire was free. I PAID for an ext warranty. NEWS FLASH that’s not free. She offered me an oil change to make it better... which I denied. I have 3 free oil changes from the previous mistakes. I will not refer anyone there for any service period. I would give all the 3 fee oil changes back for better service!!!!!

I had been prayerfully considering a trade in of my 2014 CRV. I moved from Columbus Ohio and have been here for 2.5 years. With all of the travel that I do for my job, including driving back and forth to Ohio. I needed a new vehicle, but was not sure how I would do it. I received a letter from Richards Honda at Millerville exit in Baton Rouge. I phoned the dealership and spoke with Justin. I shared with him my situation, and he was very encouraging. I decided to show up on the following Saturday. They worked out a deal that I could not even fathom, even without the letter! I knew it was God's plan in place. Justin walked me through the whole process until I drove off in my new 2019 CRV. He checked on me afterward. We had a few issues to arise after the sale, but Justin remained consistently encouraging and supportive. Just is an excellent salesman, but he is an even greater Customer Support Specialist!! What can I say about my experience. I came in last Saturday to purchase and HRV. I couldn't get it done due to credit issues and my trade not working and credit. After a few days I came in and worked with Bobby Sibley again and after working with him and Heather the previous week I was able to get a pre owned Civic. Jonathan Guidry was the young gentleman who sold me a 2019 Honda Accord. He was very knowledgeable about the car we were purchasing. He made the process of purchasing a new car comfortable. It took a little time but Jonathan worked through the procedure with expertise and we were driving away in our new car in record time. I really dislike buying a new car - the dealing - etc. I knew what I wanted and Jonathan made it much easier then I expected. I have purchased Hondas from Richard Honda since the middle 80's. Go to Richard Honda and find Jonathan Guidry. He is definitely a pro at what he does.

Had a terrible experience for sure. I chose a used vehicle and I paid for it out of pocket and was completely swindled. After only a day of buying my car, I found out it had faulty power steering, so I took my vehicle back in. However, because I only had three days to return my vehicle, to solve the issue they simply pumped fluid into the pump and called it a day with a temporary fix. Now that I cannot return the vehicle, the power steering is acting up again and making it impossible to turn, making it a danger on the road and to me. This issue couldn't have popped up overnight after I bought the vehicle, which means the team which was suppose to be inspecting it fell completely short, or chose to be this incompetent. I really appreciate the 200+ dollars I am going to have to spend to fix this. I may have a limited budget, and I may have bought this older vehicle completely with cash, but that doesn't mean that you get to swindle me or treat me less as a customer.

On Jan. 3rd I purchased my wonderful Honda Civic type r . The buying experience was great , I couldn’t ask for a easier buying experience. But , two days later when it was sunny , I noticed that the car had terrible scratches. Buying the car I specifically told them to do not wash the car, I’ve seen dealerships scratch cars many times , also I didn’t want it to be on them if it was scratched already, so I call and told one of the employees Cody, and he says he can give me 200$ to get it detailed to all of the scratches out . I was very excited that a dealership would help me out as much as they did , but I got my hopes up. After going I’m there 4 times , and being told that the check would be next day shipped , that was 2 weeks ago. I feel like I am being ran around and they are taking me as a joke . Again , buying experience was great but the service after has not been great AT ALL.

My salesperson was Mark Lowery who was waiting on me since I called ahead. He was patient, professional, and knowledgeable. He cared about my needs and not just his commission. I had test driven a few Honda vehicles at another local dealership before I came to Richards. Unfortunately, the other dealers did not have the make and model I was seeking. So, I came to Richards and was introduced to Michael who took good care of me. He was very knowledgeable about the Honda Accord Touring and I never felt pressured into buying anything. I was convinced that I wanted this particular make/model but I wasn't impressed with the colors that Richards had available. The dealership explained that they have a "Sister" dealership in Covington. I had a previously arranged commitment so I had to leave but I ensured him that I would return. While running my errand, my wife looked up the inventory of the "Sister" dealership and they had the color, make/model that I wanted. When I returned to Richards, I told them the other dealership had the car I wanted. That is when I was introduced to Julian Watson, the internet sales director.... It was Julian's job to get me the car I wanted so he had to get the dealership on the line and confirm that the car I wanted was indeed still in stock and then "trade" something on his lot for the car I wanted. Everything was done seamlessly and both Michael and Julian took good care of me. I am very happy with my purchase (especially the incredible gas mileage) and I will not hesitate to go back to Richards Honda for my next car.

I definitely do not recommend! I traded in my vehicle and they are dragging their feet on getting me my paperwork done for refunds on my old car. Spoke to one finance guy about it and he said he would email me. Week passed and no email and could not reach him again. Called to process them myself and keep being told the dealership has had my statement for refund and should issue it out. Spoke to another finance guy and he said he never talked to me so he just sends me to the other guys voicemail that never answers. Check out Team Honda- much better service! I will send everyone to team going forward.
