I rebuilt my 2012 zl1 after blowing my motor, the process took roughly 6 months to complete and I spared no expense on premium parts for my build from the fully built motor down to the AN fittings on the ends of my hoses. Anyways I was ready for the car to be dyno tuned and did a google search for some local tuners and this shop shows up.I am not going to sit here and bash them saying that they may not do good mechanic work or fab work or alignments or what have you but as far as tuning goes I basically got screwed. I dropped the car off on a Wednesday and stuck around all day watching the tuner make a couple pulls and the car seemed to be giving him a hard time, no worries take your time I told him I’ll be back tomorrow. I returned the following day at lunch time and the car still seemed to be blowing his mind and he told me something about the injectors weren’t responding properly or something to that effect, so he told me and my dad to go and grab some lunch and come back and maybe he will have it figured out by then. We get back from lunch and still nothing and at this point I’m thinking if he cant do it then why wouldn’t he just say that and give me my car and I can take it somewhere else and pay him for his time he spent trying. So he tells me and my dad it probably wont happen today and we should go home and he will call us tomorrow. Later that evening he texts me and tells me that the injectors on my car which are smack brand new and weren’t cheap just wouldn’t act right and that he basically couldn’t do anything with the car. So I’m like ok cool, I wish he would have just said that from the jump. I was also told by a reputable tuner and car builder that my injectors work just as good as any others and its up to the tuner to feel them out and get it to act right. So I go to pick my car up that Friday morning expecting maybe a 100 or 200 dollar charge for their time and since they couldn’t finish tuning my car, it was literally so bad I could barely start the car and drive it onto the trailer. Boy was I wrong about the price, the owner instructed the tuner to charge me the full $700 price even though I could barely start the car. Now I can build you damn near anything you want but as far as tuning goes I am not going to sit here and say I’m some tuner wiz and know all about tuning because my knowledge is minimal and had I known how to tune I would have don’t that myself also on top of rebuilding the entire car but I have a hard time believing that my injectors completely threw the whole process off. So instead of fighting and arguing I gave them the $700 for pretty much a huge waste of time and put my car on the trailer and brought it directly to another shop about 30 minutes away where the tuner made just south of 800hp with my car with the same injectors with 0 issues without touching a thing and told me that he would never imagine charging someone for something that he couldn’t do or finish. I am a mechanic myself and I couldn’t even imagine screwing someone over that bad no matter how long I spent on the job. I understand businesses have to keep their lights on and all that but I feel like there is still a code of ethics that should be followed in the car world and apparently PPG cars doesn’t, so yeah I just basically had to swallow that $700 dollar loss. So do not bring your car here if you need a tune, it’s a beautiful facility and you will probably be in aww when you walk through the door and I’m sure maybe they thrive in other areas of mechanics and automotive but tuning is not one of them. So if you want to bring your car to someone to practice on then by all means go ahead and bring it to PPG but do your research before bringing your car to a tuner with 0 cred behind their name.

The level of attention to detail in their shop setup continues to the level of impeccable detail they work to when building, repairing, and tuning cars. These guys repair and tune everything under the sun, from full out sponsored race rigs to daily driver pickup tunes and swaps. They have full chassis dyno diagnostic and tuning services, but more importantly they have mechanics on board FULLY trained and experienced, which makes such a difference with dyno tuning. The family behind the business obviously takes pride in the work they do here, and this level of care is why they're one of the few shops I'd feel comfortable leaving ANY car with. They also provide high end and collector car storage services where they can maintain the car, keep it in shape per the owners instructions and ready to drive or deliver to owner at a moment's notice. This is seriously one of Louisiana's hidden jewels, and I'm SO glad I found them via the Louisiana Tour. I hope more people learn of this local crew and the storage facilities, they're also good people.

The shop (more like a museum) is beautiful. The crew are top notch and honest. I wouldn't trust my car with anyone else. This is one of the only places I've taken my car to and not had a bad experience.

I found Pellegrini to be easy to share my thoughts on a particular upgrade and their considerable experience and opinions always add to the successful outcome. Mechanical upgrades are one thing but doing those upgrades to a show car present many additional concerns. I’ve had many enhancements performed on my car and have not found even a fingerprint left behind and it was always kept inside on extended stays.
