My Lady and I went to the Gonzales store,a co-worker had told her about about the car dealer.First red flag,they took her money and then showed her the car she had bought, a Cadillac SUV.I pointed out the oil leak and was told it was water they had just washed it for her- Red flag #2.Took it to Auto Zone to have it checked for DTC,s and and a code for the electronic Valve control circuit was active with several counts in its history- Flag.After driving a couple of days she complained that the car would pull to the right,I did a test drive and the same thing happened-Flag.Told her it was a piece of junk.Talked to the dealer and was told we had to get it to them on our own so they could check it out.I called a Wrecker and got it there,the slick tongue salesman convinced her that there were no problem after they drove it and it did not pull a that time.She drove another day and it started pulling again,I called them and they said the purchase was AS IS and they would not do anything,I told them that the state has a 30 day Lemon law and we will be in contact with our Lawyer. Next day they called and said to bring it in and they would give her a different car.They did not like my attitude,I said get your money and go shopping and they asked me to leave,Several hours later she picks me up in another Junk Cadillac,the right rear window motor and assembly was missing and there was a piece of wood holding the window up,the dash come apart on the drivers side and would hang with the wiring exposed. Put it in the shop to get fan and wipers working and a second time for Oil leaks.

Just bought my first vehicle from North American and couldn’t be happier! The process was smooth, no bs, the finance dept was by far the most knowledgeable finance dept I have dealt with and I have bought a lot of cars! I just read a review where the gentleman stated he should have gone to a “real” dealership where they don’t hire just anyone off the street...which I found quite comical. Evidently, this gentleman has never worked at a dealership because that is EXACTLY what they do! Volume is key while quality is a little further down the priority list. I have walked into some very large (so called reputable) dealerships (and I had to walk in bc no one would greet me on the lot) only to have salesmen look at me and then go back to conversing with their friends. North American Auto (which is no pop up dealership and has served the BR community for years!) offered me the selection that I wanted and the respect and friendliness that I appreciated. When I bought my car, three salesman helped me unload my trade in and put my things in my new car. They didn’t have to, they were not asked, they certainly were not paid, but yet they took the time to help me out or at the very least offer assistance. So go ahead and go to your large volume dealership bc you “think” you are getting the experience you have set in your mind...I will take personalized service, and genuine people any day!! And I got the car I wanted at a price NO ONE could beat!!

They sold me a car wit a false can fax. When I kept having problems with the front end I went to trade it elsewhere and was handed a car fax showing the car had been in 3 previous accidents. They withheld this information and mistepresented paperwork. I would never buy another vehicle from them nor recommend anyone too.

I went to the lot in Gonzales , I gave all my info and was told they would work on a deal . I had to call them to find out how it was going . I would never get an answer from them . I am not saying I have the best credit score but they told me that they could help me. For 3 days I called them then I just gave up cause I felt like they just was pulling my strings . I would not recommend this place at all. The finance manager Thomas is VERY VERY rude to customers and lies to customers.

I should have known from the time I walked into this building that it was going to be a horrible situation. After talking to Vinci over the phone and ensuring that my time was NOT going to be wasted on being able to get in a vehicle that I wanted, she assured me that I should make the drive that and they were making deals left and right and that I would be able to get into a vehicle without a problem. Needless to say, after an hours wait, I was told, NOT by my salesperson, that I would not qualify for their “special loan” that they had because I live more than 25 miles away from the car dealership! I specifically asked several times to make sure that I wasn’t going to have my time wasted in driving to Baton Rouge for this vehicle and I left having wasted my time, money on gas and just my energy on these people that don’t know what the hell they’re doing!! It is so aggravating having to deal with someone that does not know what they are doing.... in my opinion, go to a dealership that is actually a real dealership and not one of these places that pops up and hires any Joe that walks up and looks for a freaking job! This place is beyond a joke don’t waste your time!

The sales man where nice but the day I went up there the BMW that I had went to look at they had lent out to another customer that they had scratched up there car and they getting it buffed and they said they would be there soon and then after a hour had went by the said well she went to get her child from school and that she should be there in 20 mins so they said we could wait or just come back tomorrow so we waited patiently and they they never showed so we came back the next the sales man was late and some one else had to show us the car and so when we pointed out some of the flaws they didn’t want to fix them unless we paid full price for it so now we have had the car less than 2 weeks and about have to put thousands in it

Bait and switch in full effect. They tried to tell me I only qualified for two cars in their lot with my credit score. I'd just looked at my credit score and know it was 100 points higher than they claimed. They originally told me they have a truck with fairly low mileage and when I got there, the one I'd come to see had over 300k miles. I went to a regular dealership and with the same substantial down payment, I was able to purchase a newer truck with less miles than the one I first went to their lot to see. Beware buyers!!!
