We bought a 2009 Jeep Wrangler and after getting it home for a couple of days it started having this bad wobble after giving them a call they didn’t hesitate at all about bringing it back in to give it a look and after looking it over they figured the problem out and have fixed it. I highly recommend buying from Mercedes Benz of Covington.

The level of customer service here is absolutely horrible!!!! Firstly, I brought in my 2018 Mercedes to have the drivers side window fixed that another dealership did not fix correctly. MB of Covington gave me a loaner. They had my car for two weeks. Myself and MB of Covington went round and round with the other dealership about getting them to repair it at their cost. While I had the loaner, MB of Covington told me that they would charge me for the loaner. I told them I would not pay for a loaner while my car was in service. They then sent a bill to the other dealership for the loaner of $100 a day. Absurd! Two weeks later, I picked up my car. The window is STILL NOT FIXED CORRECTLY! When I’m driving, I can here the wind. Clearly you can see the window is either too small or not installed correctly as there is a huge gap between the window and the stripping. MB of Covington is saying that it’s not there fault and refuse to fix it. I have called several times, leaving voice messages as well as text messages and the service advisor refuses to return my calls. Three weeks later, they ran my credit card for a deductible for something unrelated to the window without my knowledge or calling to tell me. Beware of MB of Covington!

This is my first time ever leaving any review for a dealership. I honestly dread going “car shopping”! I visited the MB of Covington dealership last week after finding a 2018 C300 online I was interested in. The receptionist greeted us warmly and quickly retrieved a salesman to help us - salesman was Chris Dubuisson. His attitude and approach was great, especially with my resistant attitude towards “car shopping”. We only went back and forth with numbers once involving my trade-in. I was clear on what bottom number I wanted and he did his best to get me to that number (I did try to get him to throw in a fiddle fig tree from the lobby-which didn’t happen). We spent maybe close to 2.5-3hrs total from walking in the door to leaving with my new car. The woman working in financial department was awesome and made it easy to streamline our pre-approval with our financial institution. The only thing I wish was done differently is the vehicle was not yet fully detailed on the inside. There is some spills/splatters of I don’t know what through out the car I’m having to clean. Overall this is the best experience I’ve ever had purchasing a vehicle at a dealership. Though I feel it was a team effort to make it a great experience, a large part of it was due to Chris!

Elliot is the consummate professional and we were able to get the C300 my wife wanted at the terms that we expected. Kim Hawkins was wonderful handling the lease details and financing. I highly recommend them all.

If I could rate MB of Covington's Service Dept and Customer Service as ZERO stars, I would. We were accustomed to the exceptional service that we have receive from MB of New Orleans and assumed that we would receive the same from MB of Covington. That assumption was incorrect. The car was towed in on Friday with a flat tire. The valet feature shows it was moved at 8:01am on Monday. By 300pm on Monday, we drove to the dealership and the tire had not been replaced. We asked for the old tire and it was put in the trunk. The the next day we noticed that the tire we were given had exposed metal all around and very little tread and knew that was not the tire from the car we brought in. We knew this because we checked the tire as did the tow truck driver and our tire had ample tread and no exposed metal. The service manager said we were confused since Ryan and the person who changed the tire said they provided the correct tire. There was nothing to be gained by driving 20 miles to return the tire. I just wanted to point out their mistake with the hope that they would make changes to their process. Instead, their efforts were an attempt to discredit my daughter, the tow truck driver and I. The tread wear did not match the other tires, the tow truck driver did not find exposed metal, I ran my hand over the tire prior to calling the tow truck, and had no cuts on my bare hands. With nothing to gain, why attempt to discredit us? That sort of behavior is normally found in businesses that scam people since reputable businesses don't use those tactics - they apologize to the customer and say they appreciate the customer bringing the problem to their attention. No one in our family will ever bring our vehicles to MB of Covington.

If the rating could be lower It would be. Condensed version, the absolute worst Mercedes Benz service department I have ever experienced in the 10 years I have owed MB. I have been to at least 15 different dealerships in at least 9 states to give you some perspective.I have never written a bad review of any Mercedes Benz service department because I have never had to. That is the condensed version. Extended version. First the service advisor lied to me and said that we were not able to get a rental car with our extended warranty. I called the warranty company directly and was informed that was totally false. When confronted with the information that I had spoken to the warranty company directly they changed their story. After having my car for 3 days of getting the run around and misinformation I decided to pick up my car to have services rendered elsewhere. After speaking with the service manager, he asked for a chance to make things right because he did not want to lose my business. Especially, since I currently own 3 Mercedes that I have serviced regularly. He guaranteed that the rental car would pick up my wife and have her in a rental car the next day. That didn't happen so I picked up my car and decided to share my story. I paid for the regular maintenance that was performed and they ere not able to honor the $150 coupon offered on MBUSA because they were not registered to issue PIN numbers online. No problem, I paid the full amount. The service manager and his staff showed little if any care about the impact of being carless had on my situation. It was a service that I paid for and was denied due to their incompetence. My warranty guarantees a rental up to $40 a day of which I was denied for 4 days and the warranty repairs were still not completed. I have worked for everything that I have and I don't ask for anything free. I just ask for what I have paid for. I vote 2 places, the election booth and with my dollar$. If you want to gamble with Mercedes Benz of Covington its your money. As for me and my 3 MB's I will gladly drive across the lake 40 minutes to get better service and spend my money where my business is appreciated and my time is valued. UPDATE: Today I dropped off my car at Mercedes Benz of New Orleans to have the struts replaced. Here is the text I got from them. “Good Evening Mr.Johnson, This is Taylor with Mercedes. Got some news for you. So we inspected the massaging seats and tested on another s550 and no abnormal noises were heard. The warming functions are working as designed. For the suspension noise issues-we recommended the drivers front strut, drivers lower control arm, and passengers sway bar link. We also found the car had excessive vibration and saw the engine and transmission mounts have failed. All got approved by your warranty company without any mishaps. The only thing you'd be responsible for is the $300 deductible. We also have some recommendations as well that are emailed to you but what I would recommend you get done now are the front pads and rotors that are at $1,031+tax. If you'd like for me to get this done for you while its here or if you have any questions let me know and I can call you.” Basically, Mercedes of Covington was trying to do repairs to my car that were not necessary. They would not have solved the problem I was having and it was a big ticket item costing In excess of $1500. After hearing this today it really solidified my first impression of MB of Covington. I would steer clear of this company at all costs. If they can be this dishonest or inept would you really trust them to fix your car?

Michelle Dutchman, Mercedes Benz of Covington just made another customer happy. My service for my Mercedes was great from the time I drove into the service bay. I had no issues. I purchased a tumbler which I didn’t notice was damaged on the side bottom and it took no time for Michelle to offer a replacement. I told her it would be ok but she still mailed out a new one in perfect order. Thank you Michelle and staff taking care of me. I will certainly come to Mercedes Benz of Covington going forward. I have visited this dealership a couple of times and they have exceeded my expectations each time. I stopped today because my CLA was making a horrible noise. As soon as I pulled into the service bay I was greeted promptly. It happened to be the service manager, Gordon. I tried to explain the noise and he hopped into to car so he could hear it for himself. As soon as he heard the noise he had me go back to the service bay. They put my car on the rack and immediately saw the problem. He showed it to me and said it would take a couple of minutes to fix. My car was taken care of promptly. I would highly recommend this dealership.

Over the course of many vehicle purchases, I have had a variety of experiences. Some were better than others, but no buying experience was what I considered “over the top" in terms of meeting and exceeding every expectation. That is, until my recent purchase at Mercedes-Benz in Covington— the experience was superb. This means something as I never write reviews. I had been a prior Mercedes customer, but this was my first experience with Mercedes-Benz of Covington. I don't love car shopping, but this was— by far— the most enjoyable, frictionless, easy experience that I have ever encountered. My salesperson, Jerry Eberts, deserves a ton of credit. With him, I felt "at ease" from the very beginning. From his thorough explanation of the different options and their relative value, helping me to decide what vehicle best met my family's needs, coordinating easy trade-in and act of sale, to educating me and my wife thoroughly on the vehicle features.....Jerry Eberts was perfect. He even checks on us at regular intervals. I will be going to Jerry for every future purchase. Everyone I encountered within the dealership was very friendly and welcoming. The manager, JK Khamiss, checked in frequently. The actual purchase paperwork easy and well presented, I believe I worked with Kim. All in all, I left feeling as though they valued me as a customer and did the “little things” extraordinarily well.

The experience never felt pushy or obligated. We never felt harassed... very refreshing approach while being professional and attentive when needed. We decided on the GLC 300 and couldn't be happier with the MB quality of this SUV. The showroom waiting area was quite impressive while having a very short wait on paperwork or car delivery spit shining. The purchase was made by my Mother-in-law, with us being her chauffeurs! First experience so far and I'm impressed. I would loathe the thought of going to the dealership in Metairie as it was always overly busy and chaotic. This location is much more chill and is able to provide you more immediate attention UPDATE: I've had a more recent visit for service at MB of Covington. I called them when a message came on my car and literally drove straight there because they said they'd take me immediately. Gordon, in particular, gives the greatest service I've had from any dealership, including MB of N.O. He goes above and beyond to please and accommodate you - but really EVERYONE does! The third picture I posted is the most recent and you can see how many representatives were moving around my car to help me. What impressive service and dedication! This is one place I’ll never go back to. I had a flat tire at 2:30 on a Saturday. The car was towed to them after I spoke to someone who assured me they could get to it that day. When the tow truck driver arrived of course they weren’t taking anymore cars and the car would have to sit until Monday. On Monday morning at 8am they started the car. They called a few minutes later saying they were going to start on it and would call when it was ready. 6.5 hours later I received a text saying they recommended a tire change and an alignment. Not only had they not started the job, they tried to upsell an alignment I didn’t need. In 6.5 hours plus the time lost on Saturday they hadn’t changed my tire. I could have looked on YouTube and changed the tire myself in that time. Dropped off after 3pm on Saturday and done at 4:30pm on Monday...for a tire. Slow can’t describe their speed.

The prior review focused on service because I bought my car before this dealership opened. Last week I bought a car from them. The process was very simple and stress free. Elliot walked me through the options, took me on three test drives and I was in a new car before the end of the day. They make sure that you are very familiar with the car before you leave. The car is extremely clean upon delivery and everything that they can do to make you comfortable and win your trust is done. I cannot highly recommend Mercedes or Elliott enough.
