A little deeper research into some of their vehicles revealed that they send some to Fact-O-Bake to spruce up the paint and make it appear cleaner. They were open about some resolved issues with the vehicles, however, ignorant to other unresolved issues.

Let me start off saying that there are some used car lots in the business strictly to sell used cars at marked up prices to people who can only afford low monthly payments at high interest rates(or so called "payment plans". I understand that sometimes that is the only way someone can purchase a car whose in dire straits. But as per the experience I had with this dealership, they are just that, but with a hardcore twist. They ONLY want to finance their vehicles because I think they're bound to get kickbacks from the financing company(or they finance in-house). And they treat you like dirt. I was in the market for a medium to large sized SUV and had visited several dealerships in the area prior to stopping at Max Auto Sales. This was around the time of year where everyone was looking to spend their recently acquired income tax refund money. (Which I now know is not the best time to shop for a vehicle. Lesson learned) I usually don't get tax refunds, as me and my wife put just enough into taxes (Why let the government make interest on your money). Besides the point though. Just as I drove onto the lot and began stepping out with my wife and 2 year old daughter to go look at some vehicles, a man approached us and asked us to come with him inside to get us pre-approved for a loan. I said I would prefer to just look around to see if there was anything I liked first. He immediately got on the defensive and said that there is no use looking at vehicles until I know how much I can afford. I told him that I know exactly what I want and how much I can afford as I would be paying cash, but I did not disclose how much I was willing to spend. He said very rudely, and I quote "We really only finance. See, we don't have any vehicles that are less that 5 thousand. I can sale you a car for cash, but it won't be what you want." (Probably assuming I was wanting to spend my 2-4 thousand dollar refund check :p) Feeling as though he just equated us to having just stumbled out of the ditch onto the lot, I still held true to my ethical standards in treating people, I told him to have a good day and I will look elsewhere. I went to three or four more dealerships that day before I found what I wanted. I ended up spending almost 12 grand on the vehicle I wanted, cash in hand. Sorry Max Auto Sales, I'd prefer to buy from people that treat me like an equal.

At first my rating was a 5 star! Until all the guarantees were lies & promises were brokloen! My husband and I went shopping around for me a new suv on valentine's weekend and after going 15 plus places maxx auto sales was our last stop! Every suv I fell in love with of course I didn't get approved enough.but anyways the car I settled for had a few tiny issues the radio light was out which was nothing because I had my radio put in and the check engine light was on so that raised all kind of flags ao i made sure everyone knew it was on but by that time I had fell in love with the car so being that it was a Saturday they had trouble to send it to the shop to fix whatever and make the sale so I was promised when returning upon my appointment to fix the issue that the check engine light would be off and my car would be fine! LIES!!! Every issue this car has that I call them about their response is "that's not covered on the warranty" like lol really how do you guys sell a broke car! Had I know all this I would have followed my first mind and left it there with the check engine light but because Im a women they told me "we checked it out already it's only a sensor we can change and it will be fine! Total bs as my car was purchased February 13, 2016 and as of today I had to do my own tune up change the fuel pump change the crank shaft sensor and the oxygen sensors plus other minor things that add up after calculations I could have paid 9 weeks worth of car notes for the amount of parts & labor on all this bs because nothing is cover in the freaking warranty! I wonder what's covered the windshield wipers and hub caps...I have never hated a place of business so much! Not to mention this was my first time buying my first car on my own! So yeah u guys pretty much ruined that experience for me! Idk what I'm paying a warranty for I don't needed apparently they only fix what ever is in the warranty before they put it on the lot! I curse out the ppl that send us to maxx auto every time I see them! Like the guy actually paid for one of my parts as part of his apology for sending us there and us being stuck with this bs! So I for one have a lawyer so if I have to do anything else to this car they will be getting papers served!! And the Walter guy always wants to waive fees I don't mind paying fees if my car gets fixed properly the first time! DO NOT GO HERE DO NOT GO HERE I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE! The employeesame are nice..they sale u bs because they have bills! Completely understood! Take ur business elsewhere!

Salesfellow "Ramey" greeted us graciously and with the warmth of a true believer. Ramond then took us around to several different options explaining the features and benefits of each, and how it may fit into our lives best. As it turns out, on this particular occasion, God's plan for us changed and we did not end up purchasing from Ramond, but the service was excellent, and the experience was truly a blessing.

I purchased a vehicle from them and immediately found problems with it. The service I received for a car that I haven't had in my possession for a entire month was very unsatisfactory. It is damn near impossible to get them to fix anything. Their favorite words are(that is not covered in the warranty). God forbid that they actually do decide to fix something that will cost them money. I know Louisiana has a lemon law and if my vehicle problems are not taken care of soon that law will be put to the test. Why would you sell something that a person has to make payments on and also has to fix within a couple of weeks of owning it.

They do put a GPS on their cars so they can disable if you don't make a payment. I think most car lots do that now. They don't have much public parking. They have public bathrooms.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! Your safety is unimportant to Max Auto Sales!! I was hoping to be able to write a wonderful, thankful review, however, after patiently waiting for over 2 months, I called for the fourth time and received a “no” answer from the evasive, Walter (manager); thus here is my truthful, and negative review. I purchased a vehicle for cash “as is” in June. The vehicle was priced at the highest amount of Kelly Blue Book value and the price was non-negotiable. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase and expected to need to repair various small things, as in any used vehicle purchase. Alarmingly and unknowingly, we were put into a very dangerous serious issue with the rear brakes. When selling the vehicle, Max Auto Sales was most boastful about this vehicle being put through a safety/road worthy inspection, as well as, putting brand new tires on it (which was great), however, when putting on those new tires, the rear brakes were visible to the mechanic and he should have immediately seen that they were rusted to the point of malfunction. Max Auto Sales allowed me to drive my family back to the New Orleans area fully aware of that hazardous situation. I drove 144 highway miles at 70 mph back to my home that evening, and the next morning drove only 16 miles when the brakes completely gave out and the engine began overheating (which I learned was from the rusted brakes holding the van). I managed to pull safely over and get a tow to the repair shop. I am still thankful that my family was able to get home safely with the condition of the brakes. I immediately contacted the salesman, who referred me to the manager, Walter. After discussing the situation with me, he told me he would speak to the repair shop and hopefully be able to compensate some of my repair cost. I faxed him the bill from the repair and waited. Two weeks later, I called again. He again asked for “more time, he was working on it.” More weeks went by I again reached out to the salesman and Walter. It was implied to me that the owners were being contacted about the issue; Walter avoided my call. I sent a fax asking yet again for compensation; no response. Finally, I called again and Walter answered. Without any remorse or conversation he simply said “no, we will not be compensating anything.” How upsetting that the loss of some compensation to me for my repair bill is worth more than the safety of their customers. Max Auto Sales is a typical used car dealership, untrustworthy and only interested in the profit rather than the person.

I brought the car back to be serviced because it was still under warranty and the mechanic at Max told me that the car was in perfect condition. This place is the worst car lot I ever been to they dont service these cars an they just sell them as is they will never get my money again max auto sales are scams. I really would never go back to this place very poor place. I will be talking to a lemon law lawyer if my car doesnt get fixed asap.
