Great, down to earth dealing. Shadiah was my first contact with Honda of Slidell. I was in another Honda dealership looking for a great price. Shadiah texted me her best price, knowing I would show it to the dealership where I was. I never did. The sales person at the dealership where I was did not know the features of the CR-V.l, and took so much time I was able to text back and forth with Shadiah.When I told him I was going to look at Nissan, he got very upset. I found myself in Slidell, and stopped in. Shadiah and her fellow sales people were a tremendous help. I bought my CR-V at Honda of Slidell, even opting for the more expensive EX-L. Shadiah took her time to get me acquainted with my CR-V. Shadiah and Honda of Slidell are top notch people.

Dare I say, easiest purchasing experience ever? I knew exactly what I was looking for; however my strict budget was making it a little difficult. We have an extra vehicle, so when Ricky with Internet sales contacted me for a straight purchase of my expedition, I was more than excited? I set an appointment for an appraisal and upon arrival the truck I was looking for had literally just been turned in! Although it was in no way ready for sale, Scott Nguyen let me look anyway. It was perfect! The entire exchange felt more like a discussion and in no way a sales process. We told Scott and Lionel Batiste exactly what we were looking to accept for my trade in and what we were willing to finance. Scott and Lionel made it happen! Who knew I would trade in a Ford and purchase a Dodge from a Honda dealership? If you are looking for a painless and smooth exchange, I highly recommend seeing the Ricky/Scott/Lionel team at Honda!

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. We have had nothing but bad experiences with these people. We had bought a CRV from them and went back to upgrade to a Pilot a few months later. The salesperson we got when we went back to upgrade was Brian. He would only speak to my husband. He learned my husbands name but didn't bother to learn mine. He was terrible. Even when texting my phone he only addressed my husband. He texted me so much I told him if he didn't stop I was going to report it the owner. We ended up at Team Honda in Baton Rouge to get our Pilot. I did bring the new car here for an oil change and while there I asked for a price on an extended warranty. I couldn't believe it was over $1000 more than Team Honda for a year less. I waited a while and followed up to see if they had any price reductions or promos and they were not even remotely interested in my business. So Team Honda got that sale too. NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT THE NIGHTMARE THAT IS THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HERE. We tried to use them several times and have been treated like garbage every single time. Most recently they attempted to fix the seat heaters in our Pilot. When we picked it up they still didn't work, so we went back that same day to let them know. They just told me they would ask for hotter seat heaters or try to find out what the problem was. I told them hotter heaters didn't exist nor was that the problem. I waited for the service manager Andy to call me, but he never did and pawned me off on someone else. So 10 days later a girl called me back to tell me hotter heaters don't exist. Wow...didn't I say that from the beginning ? Yes I did. This whole thing has been super stressful. They tried to make it sound like I just all of a sudden decided the seats weren't hot enough for me. I can't convey how it makes me feel when I have tried over and over to tell them what is happening and I am not being heard. If a feature on my car worked perfectly fine for 2 years and now it does not something is wrong. You can't miss what you never had. I had great seat heaters and now they are broken and they refuse to look any further into the issue. Its under warranty and they should stand behind the service work they performed (or failed to perform). All they have done is insult my intelligence while trying to placate me. The more people I talk to the more I hear that I am not the only one who has had a terrible experience here. Do yourself a favor and stay away !

Had been shopping for new car for my wife. Previously, we purchased 2 Hondas from HoS and had a great experience both times. This time was no different. Our salesperson was Detra O'Toole and she did a great job working with us. She put in a lot of time arranging for us to look at new and used vehicles on the lot. She was always very pleasant and never pushy. Eventhough we did not buy a vehicle from her this time(found the perfect used vehicle at another dealer), I still felt compelled to write a review and let you know how good Detra was and how much we enjoyed our experience at Honda of Slidell. I had my Honda Fit 2015 serviced for oil change. Apparently there are bolts in the splashgaurd that have to be taken off to change oil.They neglected to put all mine back on. The piece of plastic that covers the engine fell off and was torn up badly going down the intetstate.They wanted $500 for a new one ,a piece of plastic! I complained, they reduced ot to$360. It was their fault! I found one on line for$ 75 just now.

The price we paid was fair and we did not feel pushed to buy at all which is nice, however.... the wait we had was ridiculous. We bought on a Tuesday night and waited well over an hour just to see the finance person, AND WE WERE PAYING CASH!!!!! For about 20 mins I kept looking back at her office seeing our sales person and another hanging out and chatting with her. It was past 9 at night when they FINALLY let us back. All that chatting and she didn’t even have the paperwork at least pulled out and waiting. My husband and I each talked to the sales manager he truly did not care at all. We had our two young kids with us. To top it all off all that waiting and the car’s gas was on empty...... There are better dealerships out there, don’t choose this one.... Absolutely nothing was done to mend the situation besides telling my husband they were sorry.... seriously not even a full tank of gas. Pathetic.

I bought a used Jeep Wrangler from Honda of Slidell and things began to go wrong before I even drove it off the lot. When they brought the car around for me to drive home, i noticed the low tire pressure light was on and the rear fender was flopping, neither of which were that way before I signed the papers for the car. I refused to take it off the lot until it was fixed. I was told they would take it in the back and it would be ready in no time. After waiting around for THREE HOURS they told me it wouldn't be ready until Monday. After finally being able to drive my new car home, things quickly went down hill. A few days after finally driving it off of the lot the entire dashboard lit up. Every light was on. I swung into an autozone to see if they could diagnose the problem as I knew at least some of the lights were on for no reason (the emergency break for example). I was informed that the entire sensor system was broken and would likely cost several thousands to fix. Shortly after that the air conditioning goes out. Fast forward a few months and my engine blows out on my way home from work. I get it towed to my mechanic and after they take a look at the car they inform me not only is the engine bad, but the starter needs to be replaced, there are holes in the air filters, and most if not all my tubes are bad. It is as though after Honda of Slidell bought the Jeep they washed and vacuumed it and didn't check anything else. I only owned the Car for less than six months before I had to invest another $8,000 into it (this doesn't include what it will cost to fix the sensor). With all the car dealership options available to you, I would avoid this one at all costs. They clearly don't have any integrity when it comes to the condition of the vehicles they are selling. They'll make them look pretty on the outside without taking any care of how they are functioning on the inside and take no responsibility when the lemon they sell you breaks down.

Shadiah is a 5 Star sales consultant at a 5 star dealership. She did the most important thing in sales - LISTENED to our needs and wants and then she went into action. Shadiah worked with us, stayed late, and made sure we got the car, the deal and the information that we needed. Very upsetting!!! We were contacted by the dealership by email that they were interested in buying my vehicle. We had it for sale online for $37,500. We expressed to the lady that we were very busy and not interested in wasting time. We gave her the VIN number. Asked her to do her research and give us a range for the price they would pay. Our vehicle was in great condition. They could only find a little wear on the tires to complain about. After driving 45 minutes to Slidell and waiting another 30-45 minutes while they brought the truck to service to check it out they come back with a number that is almost$8,000.00 less than the lowest number they promised. Please remember they called us!!! We were not reaching out to them to buy our vehicle. Buyer beware!! Apparently it is their business practices to lie to potential customers to get them to come in and then what? Muscle me into buying a Honda!! I think not!! Poor professionalism. Honda of Slidell, a word of wisdom to you .HONESTY is always the best policy. I promise everyone I meet will hear this story. I just bought an Audi A6 from a dealership in Pensacola over the phone and they did everything they promised and more!!! True professionals keep it honest. I will never buy a car from you because you lied. One last thing, proper training is greatly needed!! Train your employees to properly research the value of a vehicle so that they don't lie to future customers. Wish I could have given it less than one star. The end!

I have yet to have a good experience here. I don’t know why I ever come back. I scheduled an oil change for my car a week in advance. So I bring it in this morning thinking ‘okay, it shouldn’t take long, it’s just an oil change.’ I’ve been sitting here for over two hours and counting, still waiting. No indication on when I’ll be done. Funny story: months before this, I wanted to buy my new car from this dealership. I came in and brought in my old car for an appraisal, and was told it would only take a few minutes; they took my old car’s key with them into the back for whatever reason. I sat in the waiting room for an hour. No one came for me. Finally I went to the back and asked what was going on. The guy who was helping me looked surprised, like he’d forgotten I was there, and assured me he’d be with me in two minutes. Another 30 minutes went by. Nothing. I got back up and asked for my car key so I could leave. I was then told they’d call me sometime that evening to give me a trade-in value. No call. I called them the next morning to ask what was happening, and they said “we’ll look it up and call you right back!” They never called back. (I went to Honda of Covington after waiting an hour for a call back, and had a tremendously amazing experience. Had a new car within two hours.) These are just two examples; I’ve had other similar experiences here. So, as I sit here approaching the two and a half hour point of an oil change, I advise whoever reads this to just go to Honda of Covington. That’s where I’ll be going from now on.

They said they would give us $7000 and that is all. The vehicle tax title and all would have be $32,000 for a used van... They was not willing to work with us at all...

They fought hard to get me a approved for a car. And they did. But the only thing I didn't like was the car they had me approved for. And they told me that this is the only car that will work for me in my situation. It made me feel like. They were willing to help. But we're going to put you in what we want to put you in. Just that one car. Out of all the other cars on the lot. It was more of a take-it-or-leave-it type deal if you ask me. And it wasn't anything wrong with the hatchback. But I wanted a car. But that was the only car on the entire lot that will work for me. I just couldn't believe what they were telling me. And Im sure it was something else they could have offered me.

My Pregnant wife brought her car in to have an oil change and tire rotation. When we went to pick it up the tires were not rotated. When she approached the service manager Andrew about the issue he denied that they didn’t do the rotation and was rude to her. Asking how could you know it wasn’t rotated. Only one rim had a scrape on it, that’s how she knew. After threatening to reach out to someone from Honda about the issue he decided he would rotate them for free but never apologized about the issue. Once they were rotated and the car was returned she noticed her center console had been rummaged through. The manager once again was rude to her and raised his voice at her telling her she is lying. She was sitting in her car at this point and he reached in to the car through the window and snatched the service tag off the rear view mirror and crumpled it up. He had no right to reach in past her face to grab anything in her car. This is no way to run a business. We will never do business with them again and will be reporting them to Honda for the complete lack of customer service. What kind of person talks to a pregnant woman that way? Edit: Both the manager and assistant manager reached out to see if they could help with the situation. Although we didn’t want a forced apology from Andrew we did appreciate the concern from the management team. If we ever go back hopefully we won’t have to deal with Andrew. I am editing my 1 star review to 3 stars to reflect their efforts.

So I bought a 2006 Toyota Tundra at Honda of Slides last month. I had a good experience with Paul, the salesman. Not pushy, and very helpful. Everything was going fine until I went to pay for the vehicle. I was told i needed to give them a 150 dollar deposit because i forgot to bring the title to my trade in. This was on a Friday. They said if i got them the title by the end of the day on Monday, they would refund the money. So i overnighted the title the next day and confirmed it got to them and requested my 150 back. The financing office has not got back to me since and I have called and left numerous messages. I have even called the sales manager and not received a callback. While that 150 may not seem much to them, after spending over 10k on a truck, every bit counts. I wish I could give Honda of Slidell 5 stars, but the fact that once they got my money they have basically are ignoring me is disheartening. So buyer beware, they are quick to take every cent they can from you, but good luck getting any back even if it's owed.

They hawk Craigslist and will make you think they're going to offer what you're asking for (or something comparable) on Craigslist. Instead I wasted my time for a low ball offer ($4000 below a reasonable price) which further reinforces why I didn't want to sell to a dealership in the first place.

I hope that the general public notices the recent change made to the reviews of Honda of Slidell. Previously, every one-star review was responded to by the manager with a generic "We are so sorry that happened. Please contact us because it should not have." And when I attempted to reach out, my numerous phone calls were not returned. I shouldn't have been surprised. For good publicity, it seems that Honda of Slidell is now replying to five-star reviews. I would argue that the numerous people of southern Louisiana who actually desire a better experience should be shown some concern by this dealership. But I suppose that's asking too much.

I even resisted to write against this dealership, but 4th negative experience enough to be expressive. I am all about respect and fair smooth communication and none you find here. Brian needs some communication and respectful courses. Initially, i was given $305, which was a good deal, then I called him many a time, and also sent me emails but he never returned my calls or replied to my emails. Then i called the dealership and they transferred me to him and he acted so oblivious and naive that i never received your email, and i was like this person is lying right in my face. Anyways he ran my credit and gave me another number $339, and i talked to him over the phone and wanted him to reduce the price before even he hung up the phone, i heard him making fun of our communication with his colleagues. Anyways, in that call i requested him to talk to Mr. Daniel if we can do $320, and he was supposed to get back to me but after 4 hrs of waiting, i called again and he was again acting as ..."hey how's it going...did you get a cosigner" i said no you were supposed to get back to me, and he was like i am so busy here, you are just talking over the phone. I was like i filled in the online loan application how else one can show he's serious to buy. Anyways, the next morning he called again and said we thought and reviewed your credit again and we can give you $409. I mean seriously. Then added a cosigner, and talked to Daniel and Brian both, but none of them responded back after hanging up the call that I will call you right away but never received any communication. Then after 3-4 days acted so naive again through email "Hey i was just checking in, what have you decided". Very insulting and disrespectful attitude i have witnessed at this dealership in all my 4 experiences. Nothing personal against these gentlemen but i guess i believe its just the culture of this dealership which is not welcoming and where customers are not treated with respect and customers doesn't come first and don't believe on their pricing, it changes on every call.

The entire experience was --- ABOVE AND BEYOND --- the MOST PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT automobile purchase we’ve ever made. Upon entering the building, we were greeted by our sales consultant – Brian Puntila. He was friendly, made us feel comfortable, was easy to talk to, answered all of our questions, and did not pressure us to purchase a more expensive vehicle. We did not arrive with the intent to purchase on that day – but after dealing with Brian and test-driving the Odyssey – we knew our search was over. Brian earned our complete confidence and trust as a sales consultant. Brian’s commitment to customer service is genuine. He made sure that our Odyssey was clean and in top-notch condition. It was around 8 p.m. before we left the dealership and began our 90-mile journey home. Since my husband was driving our “old” automobile, Brian made sure that I was comfortable with the operational controls of the Odyssey. He took the time to Bluetooth my cell phone to the vehicle – so I could communicate “hands-free” with my husband as we were driving home. We also left with a full tank of gas! I’ve been a Toyota owner for a long time. This is my first Honda – and I LOVE IT! If you need a vehicle – go to Honda of Slidell and ask for Brian. It’s worth the drive!
