What I thought was a great dealership and deal on a new 2017 Ram Laramie Eco Diesel was exactly the opposite. The sales rep assigned to us was decent but was not the shot caller and definitely had no concerns for our end of the deal. When we showed up we looked over the truck with a fine tooth comb and noticed a cut on the leather steering wheel, a broken tail light, and paint chips on the tailgate. The service manager said the paint chips were an issue with the manufacturer and there was nothing that could be done. Wrong when a vehicle is brought or delivered and is added to inventory it is looked over meticulously or else it is sent back. Needless to say they were crooked with this issue and called out and they would not fix the issue. The steering wheel issue was supposedly covered under warranty, which I get but they were reluctant to put anything in writing and didn’t want to take the blame for something they clearly were trying to say was my problem. With the sales rep and his two managers trying to play down the issue, I called them out and said if it were you buying this truck you wouldn’t put up with the issues that are on a supposedly brand new truck. Needless to say we waited two hours for the finance manager to take our check (not financing with the dealer) and there was an issue. My wife saw the finance guy fling his hands up in the air as he walked out of the room. If I had seen this we would have walked out immediately. The guy came back and stated that our check changes the whole deal and we would have to write them another check. Not gunna happen, when we made a deal to pay our own taxes on the vehicle prior to flying two hours and had already made a deal prior to coming to the dealership. We are so happy that we did not make a deal with this dealership and hope that other buyers take our experience into consideration before making a trip to Matt Bowers. 10/21/2017

They don’t even deserve one star. This has been the biggest nightmare of my life! Had a flag on my drivers license for no insurance on the vehicle I traded in. Because they did not turn the paperwork into the state. Not to mention I had to fight with them to pay it off. It was also a fight to get the work done on the vehicle they promised! Now I am three going on four months still with no license plate! I purchased my vehicle October 20th and come to find out on December 18th when I hadn’t received a plate that they never paid the vehicle off from the previous owner! Still a month later and no license plate! No one returns phone calls!

Sometimes life gives you lemons is a familiar phrase. For me this was one of those times, till I went to Clark Crain dealership for help and advice on a scary noise coming from my ram truck front wheel. Well my ram beiing a 2015, but driving 250 Miles a day to work and back on Louisiana ROADs. 127000 Miles later. Something is bound to give.. right. Well a wheel literally was at the point of falling off at ..say. 70 mph. Not good. Long story short.. This dealership made the best lemonade, from and early morning greeting from service, a quick diagnostic.. Offers of a rental for continuing travel to work while they did a comprehensive estimate. And as would any sales organization, a sincere offer of new truck options to fit a working mans budget. I'm proud to say the new truck options was the best choice. They worked to find me every discount, rebate available. And I am in A NEW 2019 Ram. Same style as my old faithful 2015. No sacrifices, but a lower note and a lower interest rate by 5+ points. Worst Dealer Ever! We bought a car from this dealer ship and 24 hours after we bought it ,it was not a functional car. Driving down an interstate at 70mph the car down shifted to first gear, started making horrible noise, we tried to kill it, restart it and drive it but it had no power, it was jerking when We tried to go. The motor sounded as if it burst through the hood. We called our salesman we explained ALL the issues we were encountering, salesman let's us know he was sorry. Salesman let Higher authority know. When higher authority called us, he was rude and told us we purchased the vehicle and it is our problem now. My husband explained we have had this car not evenone a full day and had not put 100 miles on this car and we can't even drive it we would like you to come pick it up we do not want it. The guy My husband was speaking with rudely told him NO, it's your car you are responsible for it. Words was exchanged about court and we was told we would loose. 4 days later they came to pick up the car that was not drivable, took it to the dealer via towetruck. The next day my husband received a call from the once before rude higher authority, this call was polite. He informed my husband the care had multiple major issues and they would be taking the car back... We will never buy from this dealer again. We found a great dealer in Baton Rouge La.

We called Matt Bowers dealership in St. Francisville for a truck we saw online. We gave the woman the stock number and she said it was available. We told her we were an hour away and she said Sales manager Mickey would help us when we got there. Drove one hour to find out the truck was sold yesterday but they can show us another truck. Seriously!?!? Also, the dealership is right next door to Cecil Graves and with no sign along the road, it was hard to find. Called the dealership and asked for directions from West Felciana High School. The guy Alex couldn't give me directions from the high school 2 miles away??? I asked why. He said he was in Boston, Massachusetts, in internet sales! Boston?!? Not dealing with these folks again. Not happy on the hour drive home!

Worst car buying experience I have ever had. Vehicle had food crumbs, spider webs, and soda spilled all over the backseat. We got stuck with a terrible salesman, who was not the one I spoke to on the phone and negotiated prices with. He brought us a price breakdown sheet that had the car price as $400 more than it was listed on the internet, and when I explained to him that I had discussed pricing with someone over the phone, he tried to lie and say I spoke to him. I told him no, I spoke to someone else, and he finally said let me go ask the guy you spoke with. He comes back, says he needs to check inventory and see what the vehicle is going for, which really made me mad after driving two hours. My husband had enough and told him to go look up whatever he needed to so we could talk numbers and that the inventory he was shown had cobwebs and spilled soda. The salesman got pretty irate and stated that if we were going to be like that we didn't need to discuss anything (as if we were wasting his time), and my husband told him he had lost a sale today as we were leaving. The salesman snapped back with no I didn't. I have never been treated so unprofessionally before. Took my money to New Orleans to a salesman at Ray Brandt who saved me $2,000 on a better version of the car I looked at here. So yes, Mr. Dirtbag Salesman, you did lose a sale.

I found the new 2018 Jeep Cherokee, with the extra equipment the wife really wanted, at an unbelievable price on the internet. I contacted the sales manager, Ryan, and requested what was going to be the REAL PRICE that he was going to sell that vehicle to me, since we had a two hour drive to the dealership. Ryan assured me that the price listed on the website was accurate. The wife and I made the trip, test drove the vehicle with Ashton, and bought it for the internet advertised price. Absolute worst car shopping experience ever. Called ahead to confirm the car we wanted was on the lot.We were already pre-approved by our bank just need to lay eyes and hands on the car to be sure we wanted it. They assured us it was there on the lot beforehand. We drove from Gonzales to St. Francesville only to be told the car is at another lot in Zachary. We don’t let our disappointment show and drive to Zachary. Once there we are told the car left to be sold at auction earlier that morning. Our Saleman’s is then just as pissed as we are. He calls the GM and the owner and we are informed the car has not sold and we can go to the auction company to see it...in Baton Rouge. At this point I am over it ready to go home but the auction company is en route to home! We drove to Baton Rouge and when they pull the car around...I am mortified. I can hear the motor making a tapping sound, the tread on the tires are non-existent, the hood suffered from serious hail damage, the windshield needs replacement and the wing/spoiler looked as if the hulk grabbed it and ripped it off! No wonder it went to auction! I am not as much disappointed about the condition of the car as I am the customer service. That type of run around should never have happened. When someone calls to confirm a car is present one should go out put his/her hands on the car to confirm. Disappointed is an understatement!!!

Best car buying experience! This might get lengthy so grab a snack and enjoy this wonderful, wonderful review! So after inquiring about a specific car I wanted, I was soon contacted the next morning by Mrs. Sadie. She answered all the questions I had and reassured me when I had my doubts about certain aspects. Being a young adult, I wasn’t sure if I would be approved without a co-signer or be approved with lower rates. After traveling an hour and coming in with what I needed, the process went really quick and really well. They helped me with lowering my rates and along with that, I was able to score me a great deal with full coverage insurance! Mrs. Sadie is like a best friend you can count on, and you can definitely tell the place was a whole big family and treated every customer as one as well. After the paperwork process and the million of questions I had, I walked out with a 2017 Nissan Versa (with a low price and low mileage!) Now you’re probably wondering why this long review? Just purchased a 2016 Altima it had a few issues...took it back for repairs as stated....had me to return the following day due to high volume of existing repairs..I was stated several repairs ...waiting on the outcome...Thanks Josh, Chris and Roni for the superior customer service. Received car ...Air wasnt recharged as promised.still blowing at 72- 75.degrees..tire on drivers side replaced... bad tire on passenger side still causing shaking...alignment wasnt done as stated..diagnostic printout wasnt received as stated... car was detailed completely...spare mat supplied had a very bad odor...very disappointed in services performed after being promised several times otherwise. Update: The vehicle was returned. Purchased a 2018 Altima SV from another dealer at the same purchase price. Demetrius the loan officer was very rude impolite and obnoxious ...His lack of courtesy understanding and professionalism caused my return decision. Thanks Jessica for allowing me a chance to purchase...Sorry it failed we really liked the car...Yet certain employees need to be more professional courteous and honest with the customers after all we are the ones who keep your business striving...Again Thanks. Jessica the money in the deal to fix it or selling it to me had nothing to do with the inspection being done ...the car was there 9 hrs for things promised to be to be done....after leaving I had it checked all fluids were low...bad tire that was left on drivers side was moved to passenger side new tire on drivers side only..because things weren't done as promised it could have cause my safety and caused more problems to the car...I understand the problems with the car but I was promised things I expected...like air service 2 new tires..oil change fluid checks inspection...fix piece hanging under car...and complete detail...for the price of that car all of that should and could have been done. And was told I had 2 mths before pymts would come due...that wasnt right either ...they are due next mth....deceit is horrible.

This business has great customer service skills but short live what they stand for. I purchased a vehicle from them, the saleswoman said they would reimburse me for the services I paid for, only to get the run around from everyone I had to speak with. I have had the vehicle less than 2 weeks and I'm still waiting on them to follow up with that reimbursement.Chances are they aren't going to be men of their word. I would not it give them any recommendations.
