Tried to buy a car they had on the lot for over 2 months. Made it clear to Paul, the Sales Manager that I was making a "bottom line" offer and they'd have to back out any fees to make their numbers fit my offer. Then got a call from Anthony the General Manager and further negotiated. Got within $200. Then the Salesperson, Erin sent me a text with over $1400 of fees and "permaplate" paint protection saying they are "legally obligated" to do that. Disgusting.

This is the second Volvo lease I’ve had with this dealership. Every time I walk in for a new vehicle, service, etc. I’m greeted warmly and taken care of right away. I really trust the team to do the right thing and make sure my family and I are safe on the road. Excellent service and hospitality is truly what is lost at most car dealerships, but this one has it. My wife took our Volvo for service. The changed the oil, and charged her $40 to change a headlight bulb (she had the bulb). The did NOT check the check engine light. They did NOT do an alignment check or check the front bumper as she requested because of recent parking lot accident. And it took 4 hours for the to change the oil and a headlamp bulb. She said the are no longer owned by Swope. Soooo happy I did not purchase a new Volvo from the last year. We won't be back!

Just had the worst and the most serious mishap at Volvo of Louisville after I got my driver's license.....I normally go to Tom Wood Volvo in Indy for service and this was my first time at Volvo of Louisville. Brought the car in for suspension service and POTENTIAL engine oil leak at the turbo. I noticed the turbo oil drain joint was wet last time I had the service done and advised Volvo of Louisville to check on it. Service told me that I need to pay out of my own pocket if I would like to replace the washers. This is nonsense since my car is still under warranty and this is a common problem on the 6 pot turbo engines. I told the advisor that I would like to NOT do anything to the turbo since there was no visible oil drips before. Picked my car up on Friday and the advisor told me that the techs tightened up the screws on the turbo oil lines. Drove my car 80 miles back home and found out burning/engine oil smell as soon as I got off my car in my drive way. Looked underneath and engine oil was dripping. Checked oil level and it lost at least a quart during that 80miles drive and the entire underbody is soaked. Called Volvo of Louisville on Sat and spoke to another advisor. Volvo of Louisville is not admitting that they did anything to the turbo besides inspection according to the service note. My car has been fine for the first 26k miles and the joint just happened to fail on my 80miles drive home? The service tech clearly over torqued the joint and damaged/cracked the washer which led to the leak. My car is back in my usual dealer at Tom Wood, and the technician there is getting everything fixed. The very unprofessional service at Volvo of Louisville is very alarming. I am sure that there are good technicians but clearly not everyone is qualified. If one customer that knows nothing about cars happen to experience the same thing as I did then his/her car could end up having catastrophic engine failures due to lose of oil. And the fact that the service note does not capture everything that was done to the vehicle is also a very dishonest practice which leaves the customer in a bad situation. Volvo North America has been contacted and they promised me that they will bring this issue to their management team internally. I am not expecting anything else from Volvo of Louusville. I just hope that my Engine and Turbocharger are still unharmed.

Bought a car from here a few months back. I’ve had several problems with the car since. Every time I call I deal with rude people that are not very helpful at all. They basically just tell me tough luck and they aren’t doing anything to help. Love my car just wish I would’ve known I would’ve had to put thousands more into it after not even having it a year and would have to deal with rude people on top of everything, and I probably would’ve gone somewhere else.

Went and got my tire changed, now I have a check engine light on. As always this place is a scheme, a money pit to try to get you to rely on them! I love my car but will unfortunately never get another because it’s terribly hard to find a reliable mechanic, because Volvo keeps everything a secret and makes it hard for outside sources to make fixes. thanks again Volvo Cars of Louisville for another wonderful experience. Ps they totally see and look at these reviews I’ve heard someone talk about me as a customer already writing one and totally feel my cars been tampered with because so.

I have never written a positive review for a car dealearship but we had a great experience at Volvo of Louisville and we would recommend it to anyone considering a new vehicle. Buying a car is often an annoying experience. This is not the case at Volvo of Louisville. Their staff was absolutely great to work with, especially our sales person Ethan. He was by far the best salesperson I have ever delt with. Before buying we also visited the local Audi dealership to look at a Q7. We liked the Q7 but Volvo of Louisville’s staff was far more professional than Audi’s. The whole staff is great but ask for Ethan if you go!

service dept were courteous however waited most of 2 days for a part and they are less then 15 miles from me. When i called to check on status after a day of waiting they told me the driver came in our part of town but forgot to grab the part before he left so i had to wait for the driver to get back in town

I was the proud owner of an Infinity G35x. I had it for 10 years and did not want to give it up. However, my husband felt that we needed a safe/ family car and Volvo comes to mind when you think of those two things. Well, I couldn't agree more. If you want to drive the safest car in the world and still have fun driving, you will love the XC90! This truly is the brand of luxury down to the "Perforated Nappa Leather Upholstery" The design is flawless with Walnut Wood Inlays, Keyless Entry ( a must with two kids), Tinted Windows (we don't need more sun damage), Panoramic Moonroof with Power Sunshade, Sun Curtain Rear Side Doors, Double Wishbone, 20" Alloy Wheels with All- Season Tires, Harman Kardon Premium Audio with 14 Speakers (you can customize so kids don't lose their hearing in the back seat). We chose the Magic Blue colour (Yes- I was born in Canada) with light interior and I couldn't be more pleased with the subtle sparkle on the exterior. It actually almost looks purple in different lighting! From the first time we walked into the dealership we were treated with respect. That is all you can really ask for when you are looking to buy a new car. Our salesman really took the time to find out what we were looking for and tried to come up with the most appropriate option to meet our needs. Adam Lee went above and beyond to make sure that we understood how to operate the vehicle after we drove it off the lot. Anthony George was extremely kind and wanted to know what he needed to do to bring us back to Volvo after we first walked in because we were also looking at the Acura MDX. My father has the Acura and even he admits the Volvo is more comfortable with respect to the leather interior. Every time I have been back to service, Melissa Hare is Volvo Louisville's Sweetheart. I have loved chatting with her about kids and life. You genuinely get a feeling that all these people care about you when you enter this dealership. It also helps that the environment is relaxing and peaceful. Anthony Murphy is also very kind in the service department. I just mentioned that I liked the Volvo pen when, I was signing a receipt and he immediately told me to keep it! For all the ladies, the Volvo gift bags are the gold standard. They are very durable and won't break after toting around for a few days- solid construction. The bottom line is at Volvo Louisville, you are not just another customer. You are a person that they truly value. We will definitely take our kids to buys cars here in future and will highly recommend Volvo to our friends in Louisville and other nearby States! If the Canadian dollar ever becomes par again, Volvo Louisville may have some Canadian customers too. We will specifically send them to Adam Lee. Final note on Safety- you need to have the heads up display to remind you of the speed limit. I am surprised I have not been pulled over. It is very difficult to drive slowly in this car! It's the Jet of the the roads. You feel like you are driving 30 m/hr but, then you look again and you're driving 60m/hr. It also handles curvy roads similar to a BMW. It hugs the corners, which I was not expecting given the higher center of gravity with an SUV. There are so many other positive things to say, but I think I've covered the important factors. Anthony George, Sales, was absolutely exceptional. His no nonsense approach, calming sales presentation and attitude where truly over-the-top from the normal "high pressure" sales that I've experienced in the past. Anthony's heartfelt desire toward 'Customer Satisfaction' should be held high as a model of how automobile sales should be. He spent many hours, perhaps days, in the negotiation process and locating the exact XC90 R-Design that fit my "wish" list. What more could a buying customer what? Called the parts department and talked to Zach. He quoted me a price for power steering fluid at 25.99. When I went to pick it up the rude guy that was there rang it up for $32. I told him what Zach quoted me and he talked down to me like I was in the wrong. At first I was just concerned that it was the correct fluid, now I'm pissed at how he talked to me like I was a liar and I was the one lied to. I don't even care about the extra $6, it's the principle and customer service. Won't be returning here.

I can't say enough good things about them, especially Nathan #1 in sales, Nathan #2 in finance and Melissa in service. All of them went the extra mile to make things right, even if they didn't have to. And their prices on certified pre-owned vehicles are competitive, as well!

Volvo in general has deteriorated in service and quality since I owned my first S60 in the early 2000s. While safety is a primary concern - sales and service are a driving factor for me to return as a customer. My 2014 s60 has been by far the worst model/year I have owned. And getting service at this Volvo dealer is below par - although the lady in service says she has 19 years of experience here, I found the general demeanor and conversations less than what I’d expect. I was furthermore displeased with the exorbitantly high prices on general service. Examples: $121 for oil change and $550 for rear breaks - I was also charged $44 to have them read the computer and tell me what I had told them - that the keyless entry does not work on the driver door (the fix was going to be $700 and not included in the 100k warranty.) Well Volvo - I’ll be returning to Quantrell Volvo in Lexington where service and sales are much better.

Where to begin. I purchased a S60 from Volvo of Louisville and drove 8.5 hours from northern MI to pick it up. Upon delivery, the original vehicle had a cosmetic issue to no fault of the dealership. Andy, our cars salesman, made everything right. He was more than amenable to our needs and is honestly one of the best salesman we have ever dealt with. Zach, the finance director, is awesome, too! From start to finish, this dealership was A+. I would drive again from MI just to purchase from this dealership again! I would rate it a zero, but i gave them one for being so nice when they tried to rip me off. I was almost charged $1100 for a tuneup and new belt. The turn signal bulb was $90 to replace.They told me my 2010 XC60 was gonna have all these long term problems and that it was unreliable and a lemon. They wanted me to trade my car in and buy a brand new car. My car is a year away from being paid off. But they really wanted it to flip and make some $$. Looks like they are in demand because the new Chinese wagons must not be selling. I had the bill forgiven because they cornered me into not paying by buying a wagon. I really did need a different car and wanted an older wagon. A week later brought it in because the check engine was on. I was told i needed a coolant sensor in which the whole radiator must be replaced in order to fix. Another $1200 bill. I declined and as I left they sales dept must have heard about the other $1200 bill I received and was persistent on how I need a new reliable car. The part ended up being $85 dollars and all I had to do was remove the coolant reservoir and pop in. This place will rip you off. Please google or look up on the web or find a second opinion before committing to any maintenance. I will never bring my Volvo here again because of the distrust I have in there service department.

Every time I come to Volvo Melissa Hare greets me with a smile, ready to help me any way she can. She seems to be great at her job... Seems! She never returns calls, will not keep you updated on the progress of your vehicle unless you call her several times, and even then she won't give you any estimates on time, and she also overcharges for service hours. I'm not asking for much, just for her to do her job, and that's not happening. I will be finding a different place to take my car from now on.

Unprofessional Liars!!! Parts department manager (Jimmy) Specialized in brown-nosing and covering their own mistakes and then blaming you for it. Zero product knowledge! Zero customer service! Apparently Jimmy (parts department)- is in charge of decision making weather or not you get to deal with Volvo dealership (the only dealer in town). The service department is top notch. They go out of their way continually to make my service appointments go smoothly. Everything from the ease of scheduling, to making sure I understand all the ins and outs of my loaner vehicle and beyond is handled with wonderful professional courtesy. On my last visit they even drove to where I was to pick up the keys for my car (which I had forgotten to give them when I dropped it off). Folks - I'm not typically one that enjoys my experience with a dealership. Car buying is a drag and so very frustrating... however, my experience with Adam Lee at Volvo Cars of Louisville was outstanding! I can't begin to tell you how thrilled I was to find the exact truck I had been searching for on their Used Cars page online. Living an 8-hour drive away from Louisville, I quickly called and happened to get Adam on the phone... what a dude! He hooked me up! Called him on a Thursday night, right as they were closing. He stayed late to text me pictures of the truck and answer questions. Came to an agreement on financing and price the next day via text and telephone. Reminded him over and over again, I would be flying all night Friday night to come pick it up on Saturday morning. He gave me his word he would be there and we'd be ready to quickly sign paperwork and get me on the road back to KC... ...listen, everybody needs a job and a paycheck. I am committed to my job and employer and will show up in the worst of circumstances... Adam did more than I could ever expect. What I didn't realize when I walked in the door on Saturday morning is that this guy had been in a serious car accident and suffered a concussion the night before, spending the better part of his night in the hospital! Didn't matter, he had made me a promise... there he stood, holding a hot cup of coffee, greeting me promptly at 8am, hospital band still on his wrist. He had made a promise and this guy came through.... now, let's be clear, I would not in a million years (given his circumstances) EVER asked him to do such. I had no idea this had happened until we were shaking hands at the end of the deal and one of his co-workers whispered to me what had happened. Volvo of Louisville is the place to go and Adam Lee is the guy to call. No doubt. Quality dealership, excellent cars & trucks with the most impressive dealership staff that I have ever worked with in my life. One side note.... four months after I purchase my truck, I wake up on my birthday with a voicemail from Adam wishing me a happy birthday. Adam - you're the man! You made my truck-buying experience the best ever!!!!!!!!!!

Purchased an XC90 in 2016-the vehicle has been a total electronic lemon and the Napa leather seats have signficant wear. Was just offered $8000 for trade in at this dealer, where it was purchased for nearly $60000 last year. How's that for standing by your product? I came to get one tire replaced, so low tire pressure light would turn off (paid a significant amount for the service). TWO DAYS after I left the light came back on. When I called for a follow-up, they said it "they like to leave before 5PM ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY". This is THE SECOND TIME I have had to bring my car back because they failed to fix a simple issue. No apology, and they aren't willing to accommodate my schedule to correct a service I have already paid for. I work a typical 9-5 and I can't keep bringing my car back for them to correct services I have already wasted my time and money on.

Needed replacement keys for my volvo. They gave me an estimate of about $205. Includes: 85.95 key, 43.99 programming, 75 labor. And car needed to be present. I asked if we could have it towed the night before the appointment. They said yes and told me where to have it parked. One of the ladies even said the person who was going to work on it is still there and will let him know so he can put it on a post it to remind himself it was going to be there when he got to work the next morning. Next morning I had my husband call them to see if they received the car ok. They had no idea about the car or why it was there. Asked if we were given an estimate, yes, about 205. They said It'll be more like 250. And won't be done at our scheduled appointment time Monday but the next day. Next day went to pay for the car and pick up keys. Car was dead and they didn't bother to jump it or check the battery or call to ask if we wanted them to. Melissa was very rude and condescending at the front desk and on the phone. We also have a mazda. We needed a power steering pump replaced. Oxmoor Mazda gave me a car for 2 days, checked all of the fluids and checked the air in the tires...do you think anybody has ever dropped and picked up a car with a dead battery at Oxmoor Mazda? So the question was how do you make it right...just dont make my husband wait 30 minutes to simply pay and pick up the key tonight and have the car where we can get to it to give it a jump so we can go our seperate ways.

I felt disrespected here at every step of my experience. The used car I was sold had MULTIPLE problems, some of them major. It was sold to me in "very good" condition. When I took my car to get a second and third opinion, the mechanics couldn't believe it. Either Volvo's mechanics are inept, or they (and/or the sales department) were fully aware that they were ripping me off and said nothing. I understand that selling a car is a bit of a game of give-and-take, but this went beyond gamesmanship. My only take-away from this was learning to never trust a seemingly high-end dealership any more than any independent used car lot. Do your due diligence with the car AND the dealership. This was, by far, both the worst used car and worst dealership I have experienced.
