First of all I did not buy a car from this place but my son did,he bought a used up vehicle for $750 plus tax title and license, this is a 2001 Ford Windstar van,the total was over 1250 dollars, this is at 6 percent sales tax which is $45,plus title and license which would be 60 at the most, when I asked the sales lady why he total was so high, cause around $860 would be total, she informed me the rest of the amount was a dock fee which I am not familiar with ,she said all dealers charge this fee, that's over $400 more than the actual cost plus tax title and license, you all be the judge if you think this is a good place to buy a vehicle or not, that is 50 percent again over the cost of the vehicle for this dock fee?????????hmm doesn't sound like a good business practice to me even if it is legal, which I will find out and let all of you know.ok I talked to a lawyer he explained to me this is a doc fee short for document,it is the fee they charge you for doing the paper work to sell you their car,a couple sheets of paper and a couple hrs time at the most, that's about $200 dollars a HR,pretty good pay in addition to the profit they make on a vehicle, the lawyer said these fees are not regulated and can be charged at any rate the car dealer can get the customer to pay,I advised my son not to buy the vehicle,it was his first vehicle purchase on his own but their car tore up the day before and he said they had to have something right then so his wife could get to work on mon.its a shame that people trying to make it out there and work and pay their bills are taken advantage of this way,but I guess that's the world we Iive in,so check your paperwork good and your financing, they may be charging you a lot more than you want to pay
