Took my truck in to have theft lock removed they wanted me to buy a $2000 ECM. I called up around and talk to several shops the most expensive one I could find was half this price. So I took it to a different shop and brogdens “mechanic” had the wiring harness cut and laid across the seats, fuse box under the dash laying on the center console with no fuses or relays to be found. Honestly really disappointed in the quality of work.

Bought a used 2015 Chevy Malibu from them. The warranty is good for used cars. Service is spotty. The guy helping me, nicknamed Big John, was falling all over himself to help us. He's funny and makes test drives pretty interesting. The issues are that when I test drove the vehicle, everything looked good, but when I got it back from being detailed I found the plastic on the sides of both of the seats were broken. I brought it up to his attention and he brought me to his service department. They told me it only popped the clip and they popped it back in. They ignored the missing plastic piece on the driver's side and the long crack on the passenger side. To top it off, the car was bought on the Kansas side, but has a Missouri tag. Update: Called twice at his request, with no answer or call back. Pay attention to everything when dealing with them. They aren't as customer oriented as they want you to believe.

My daughter took her vehicle in for an engine light that popped up along with other driveability issues. She paid $400, but was returned home with a car that did not drive as it should as well as, an engine light still on. She took the car back and the Dave, the service manager was EXTREMELY rude to my daughter as well as, unprofessional and did not want to give her a loaner car until they looked into the problem which should have been taken care of or at least advised us what was going on prior to us paying and picking up the car. I think it is safe to say after 20 years and $170,000 later, we are done with this store unless they call us to fix the issue and by treating us with respect.

Your service department didn't have it together today, came in to have my oil, filter, and tires rotated on my 2016 terrain. They came and told me that there key to the wheels locks was broke and they wanted to know where my was and I told them that I thought it was in the trunk where the spare tire was if not it was in the car some place. they said they looked and it wasn't there and I would have to come back later to have the tires rotated and I asked if I could go back and fine it and was told no. I would think the parts department should have one and if not I would think they could have found one in another truck instead of me having to come all the way over here again. To me that is not very good service. I went and found my salesman Bob and he went back and found it where I told them it was. They must have really looked good for it, they don't care about my time just to get me in and out as soon as they can and no big deal to them if I have to drive all the way back over here again. I made an appointment with Robert Brogden for a engine light on, lifter noise. And decided to go ahead and get my oil change done and tire rotation. I have gotten service work done on my GMC vehicle over the last several years. Knowing that at times car dealerships can be more expensive that some of the smaller firms, I chose to go to Brodgen, as I wanted someone who knew what they were doing, with my Yukon being a Hybrid, and knew the dealerships strive to give good customer service. Furthermore I had taken my car into them where I had a interment light over the last couple of years and oil pressure drop. In the past, they could not find the issue as the light would be off, and could not find any error issue in the computer. However, of late, what I have previously found to be outstanding qualities at Brogden, has seemed to gone downhill. It started with a mid-morning appointment. When I arrived in the Service Dept. and found a lot of Service personnel standing around- chit-chatting. After standing there waiting to be recognized, a "Service Adviser" Allison Leach, asked to help me. I told her of my appointment and my issues. She said she would let me know their findings on the noise. After not hearing from anyone by 4:45 PM I called, fully expecting to hear my care was ready, oil changed and lifter noise gone away and no issued found. After having to call in a couple of times to even talk to someone, being put on hold, with no pick up, I finally got through through Ms. Leach and she sounded scrambling after I told her whom I was and status of my vehicle. She said she "just got the report from the technition and there a multiple error issues with my vehicle! While no one wants to hear this on their vehicle, I was most disappointed that after bringing my vehicle in the AM, to only now hearing of these issues, after being told I would be called to be notified of what they found, and a expectation after not hearing anything that I would be picking up my vehicle at the end of the day with no major issues, was very disappointing. To take all day to just read the idiot lights of system, and no follow up, with their customer, who might at the end of the day, have to scramble for other transportation, was disheartening. Furthermore, in expressing my frustration, and asking to speak to a Manager, Ms. Leach told me that while she off the next day which was a Saturday, she would come in and better evaluate my vehicle and call me with an update. By 2:00, with no phone call on the update promised, I called for Ms. Allison and again having to call in a couple of time to get through, getting Allison's phone message,, I asked to speak to a Manager. I again got voice mail. I called again and the reception put in a "all call" and spoke to a "Christine" who said she was a assistant Manager. Explained to her what I had been through to date and she told me there was no update on my car and assured me she would update me as soon as possible. At 3:30 I got a call from Christine, basically telling me the same thing, I had multiple issues in the report, and no real understanding of what needed to be done. Needless to say, I had lost confidence in the Dealership, really due to the accumulation of their customer service. I am not one to complain a lot, and spend time writing such a review complaining, and in fact had complimented this Dealer and their associates in the past for what I considered outstanding service. But of late, not just this issue, the Dealership seems to of gone down hill.

Brought our Enclave in on 7-1-19 to have diagnostics ran on it as we were planning on using this vehicle for an out of town trip and wanted to be sure all was ok. I had mentioned that we just had transmission flushed about 1,000 miles earlier. They said, ooh we don't recommend this especially with the mileage being at 130K. After running diagnostics, they told me all ok but that transmission fluid was burnt, very dirty and black, and that we needed a new transmission to the tune of $5000. I told them I would have to think about it. Took vehicle back to shop that did the flush and they showed me the fluid was like new. They checked transmission and told me they could not find anything wrong with it. Its been over a month, just got back from out of town trip, and have put over 3500 miles on vehicle with no transmission issues. Can't help but think that they were trying to sell me a new transmission. I have gone to Brogden before for service and have had mixed feelings but after this ordeal, I will never go back again. Just don't believe they can be trusted.

This was one of the easiest and quickest car buying experience I have had with a dealership. Test drive, confirming the deal, and paperwork in about hour and a half. Bob Myers was great to work with. He answers all your questions and makes sure you understand all the details. He followed up in a couple of days to make sure I was still happy with my purchase.

I was treated very cordially on the phone for the appointment piece of the exercise. In fact somehow they fitted me in at 2 pm Saturday. I was met immediately when I pulled in the bay and the gentleman directed me to the service people. Once there, the man verified what I was in for and then in a few minutes I was directed to the waiting area. It only took 1 hour which shocked me being it was Saturday and I had called in at 12:45 to see if I could get in. On a side note a man by the name of Quinton, I believe, came by and asked how my day was going and I was having trouble getting on the internet. He showed me the correct site and I got my work done while I was there. It is exceptional to have a smily face come by and ask how your day is going, nice touch.

This is the second service for my vehicle. The first time it was in for service I told them about the drivers seat having some play in it and you can feel it move during acceleration and braking. They said that they tightened the seat to specs and hoped that would take care of it. If it continued to move they would install new seat rails on this seat. The second service I told them that the seat still has play in it. When they called me to let me know that it was ready they told me they tightened the seat to specs. I told them that that was already done. The seat still has play in it. Maybe if they tighten it a 3rd time it will be fixed, or they could order the seat rails and fix it correctly.

I took my vehicle here because my AC stopped working and I suspected a broken wire. They charged me for a diagnostic fee and told me that I need to replace the fuse box which seemed unnecessary and would cost close to 800 dollars. I took my car to a local shop, and they found a broken wire and fixed the total cost of Robert Brogden Buick GMC's diagnostic fee. I requested a refund, but they didn't return my call and email. People can make mistakes but they didn't try to make it up. Another time they told me I need to change my thermostat and asked for 400 dollars, and I did it for 40 dollars including changing the coolant.

I have a 2018 Chevy Traverse High Country. Not a cheap vehicle. I bought it from McCarthy in the Fall of 2017. From that point on, I had problems with the transmission. It was jumpy at low speeds, and then at highway speeds it would occasionally slam when shifting. It was so violent that it would wake up my kids if they were sleeping. I took it to McCarthy at least 4 times trying to have them address it. Every time it was, "We can't find anything" "9 Speed transmissions act like that sometime" "appears to be operating as normal". I was finally fed up with McCarthy, so started taking it to Brogden (as well as other cars in our fleet). I didn't even mention this issue at my first oil change with Brogden because McCarthy had me believing that this was normal. It continued to get worse, so I mentioned it this time. They kept my car for 2 days, and when I got it back, it was SHIFTING LIKE BUTTER. I can't believe it. I had started looking for new cars because I was so sick of this car, but now I feel like I have a new car. Really happy, and glad that they took the time to listen and try to solve it.

This place is ridiculous. We had $2,500 worth of work done on our vehicle here. Within a week the same light/notification was coming on. We took it back in and they "fixed" it again. About a week later, again, the same light/ notification is back. I've called and left THREE messages for the service center manager. One of those messages was with another manager who assured me he'd leave a note on the desk of the service center manager. I question their honesty and competency. They clearly don't value customer service. This is our second awful experience with them we only gave them another chance because the employee we previously dealt with was no longer working there. This doesn't appear to be just an issue with a single employee but the entire dealership. Take your vehicle anywhere but here.

My husband and I had a pretty terrible experience buying a vehicle from this dealership. We purchased a used diesel truck that we later found out was improperly tuned to tow (which is the whole reason we bought it). Also, all of the emissions equipment had been removed, which is illegal. We took the truck back to the dealership and a diesel mechanic (who must not have been there during the initial inspection) found all of the aforementioned things wrong. So, we were essentially sold a vehicle that wouldn’t pass inspection. They took the truck back and we bought a new one. We made an appointment to sign paperwork on the new truck, but that didn’t seem to matter. We waited for over 3 hours to sign the stupid paperwork. The manager asked us to let other people go in front of us in exchange for gift cards to somewhere. We agreed, but never received any gift cards. After we waited a while longer, he told us he was out and that he would mail us some. That was over 2 months ago and guess what??? No gift cards. It might seem petty, but the entire ordeal was their mess up and we had to pay for it by wasting a ton of time and extra money. and we were never reimbursed with these gift cards that were promised. Overall it was a terrible experience. We will never buy from there again. We will tell everyone we know to never buy from there.

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!!! If you have had any work completed at Robert Brogden that involved removing your tires and wheels PLEASE! Have the lug nuts checked to see they are properly torqued!!!! They did a service and tire rotation on our Yukon and I found 3 of the 4 wheels were loose!! I called and talked with Silvia who said she would have the Service Manager call me! He called over 24 hours later which I missed the call so I returned his call twice that day and no contact then after 2 days I called again and left the message that I needed something done to make my vehicle safe to drive! He finally called me and wanted to know what happened? I asked if Silvia told him the wheels were loose and he said yes! I told him 3 of the 4 wheels were loose and he said he would talk with the person who worked on the car!!!! I was shocked he knew about the problem for over 2 days and had not investigated the issue to be sure it hasn’t happened to others? I hope and pray there will be no fatality accidents from wheels coming off cars they serviced! He seemed to think all was good and I asked him what they were going to do to make my car safe he said you tightened them right? I said My wife drives this car and I want it safe like it was before the loose wheels and he said the only thing they would do was replace the studs, no wheels or lug nuts!! He nor any of his staff have seen or even asked to inspect the car damage!! I don’t know how he knows what’s needed. I then asked him to please put in writing that they would guarantee my car was safe to drive if I let them make the repair and he said he would not put anything in writing!! I said the left front wheel for sure needed replace he said no! I told him I would have to check with GMC to see what the thought about the issue and he said “let me know how that goes for you”. They have never contacted or talked with me and when I complained to GMC Corporate Mr Harper must have told them he already made the repairs but I told them he has not ever even seen the vehicle after they left the wheels loose!! They also never responded to my BBB complaint!!! This is a company that I hope you will take my advise and stay away from!! It has cost me over $1000.00 in parts and labor just to make my vehicle safe to drive and they paid not 1 penny for their mistake!!!!!!! I really like how Mr Blackledge has asked me to contact them but when I have they do nothing! Mr Fisher said he was going to get me a check to cover my repairs I had to make but hat was over a week ago and now when I contacted them they will not let me Talk to Mr Fisher and said they have no information about a check to cover my cost to repair my Yukon!!!!!

BEWARE: Just got off of the phone with the head service advisor (woman) and asked a couple of questions I already knew the answers to, and they blatantly lied to me. Even if there ignorant and don't know any better, than doesn't help there case because there out here charging people 100+an hour and they do not know there stuff! People are nice but their process/procedures are a bit rigid. They forgot to rotate my car tyres and did that afterwards when i noticed that it was not done. Also, i would recommend if you want to buy tyres for your car buy it from other shops as these guys sell tyres @ MSRP. Also their labour charges are higher than other tyre shops. I had to go back 3 times with a written price quote for a price match and then got a refund. They don't even have a car washing facility, so everytime you go for a car service they cant wash and clean your car. Overall, people wise they are good but on other aspects they need improvement.

I purchased a 2015 VW Passat SEL TDI from this dealership on 7/20/19. My purchase experience was great and went smoothly. I did my research on the car and felt I could trust a brand name dealership like this (so I thought). Day 3 of owning: I randomly decide to check air pressure in my tires and discovered that a lug nut on driver’s side rear wheel was nearly off. It was visually obvious and was easily able to be spun with my fingers. I suspect it would have fallen off the very next day. Service technician strike one! End of Week 1: I began to try and become familiar with the vehicle by locating the oil filter. Here I noticed a VITAL piece of the vehicle was missing (the plastic skid plate). It was stated to me during my purchase that the oil had been changed upon inspection. How is it that a service technician would not notice this vital missing piece (regardless of vehicle brand). This plastic skid plate keeps the engine and its components out of harm’s way. Service technician strike two! 8/2/19: I turn the vehicle on to find the coolant warning chime and light flashing at me. I shut the car off and check the coolant level and the overflow bowl is nearly empty. I was able to drive the car home and investigate. I found a leak on the 5Q0-122-073-CM hose near the bottom rear of the engine. A hose that the plastic skid plate would normally be protecting if present. If you trace the hose up higher into the engine you can also see that the hose has two brackets where it should be secured to the engine. The bolts for these brackets are missing and the hose just hangs under its own weight. The added strain from the hanging hose and lack of protection from the skid are to blame. How would a thorough service technician not catch this (regardless of vehicle brand)? Service technician strike three! Robert Brogden is not a fly by night dealership and should have a good reputation. With having a good reputation should come good expectations and trust in quality. I am unsatisfied with Robert Brogden’s poor inspection processes and lack of thoroughness. It has only been two weeks and I am stuck trying to figure out how to replace this hose, remount the hose, and flush the coolant system.

Had oil change and brakes done. Rotors needed to be replaced. They found a strut leak and we needed our struts replaced too. She worked with us and called the warranty company for us to find out if the struts were covered. Very polite and friendly. Will call her directly to schedule our next oil change. Was able to get a loaner while having the struts done.

They have super nice cars and for really good deals. My experience may not have been one of the best. I was immediately greeted and told one of the cars I was going to look at was a manual when on the website it said an automatic. I was of course disappointed. But then I was shown the first car and it was really rough drive and had not been cleaned or had anything done to it. Then when I came back from test driving it I was told that I was in fact correct and that the car was an automatic. But then he proceeded to tell me the price was higher than what the website said and when I pointed it out he immediately told me they must have misprinted the price and to go off the website. I drove that car and it drove amazing but I noticed a lot of interior issues. The glove box would not close and there was a cigarette burn in the seat. When I returned and told him this he had no idea. I made an appointment a day ahead just to be sure the cars would be looked at and so the salesman could give me knowledge on it but I feel like that was lacking and he did not know a lot about the car. He was super nice though and apologized for not seeing it, but I do think they should look at the cars and educate themselves a little more before showing them off to customers.

I purchased a new car from this dealership last fall. Within the first 5 days the engine light of this new car came on twice. The first time I took it in to be serviced and a day later had my new car back. Then less than 48 hours after getting my car back the engine light comes in again. They then exchange vehicles with a like model. This second car has had no problems. Through this experience I interacted with a number of people in the dealership. Many were helpful and provided great customer service. An employee came in on a day off to get me a loaner. My salesman Julius kept in contact with me truly providing service after the sale. However, two staff members provided a bad experience. When my car was in the shop within 24 hours of purchase I was irritated. A gentleman working in the service department was trying to dismiss me and told me to "not be so emotional." I was expressing anger at the lack of information about my broken new car. The second staffer providing a negative experience handled the paperwork. She tried bully me into accepting an obviously defective care hiding behind legal claims about GM financing, which didn't apply to my car that was not financed through GM.

I guess because I am a woman there was an immediate need to bs me and begin the parade of lies. I came in with CASH in hand (not a check, not financing, but $14,000 CASH) and was ready to sign a bill of sale and leave, but on this day Kevin Jackson decided to tell me "turn signals in cars only work when a car is in motion." Nor was he able to tell me how a car that had to be sitting on the lot for two months (by the way he said the car was only here for a "couple of weeks") had dropped $1,700 bucks and was STILL priced over KBB and NADA. When I asked to test drive the car he refused to let me do so, and stated I would need to provide car insurance to test drive cars on a lot in where the DEALERSHIP already has insurance on. Dealerships always have someone driving with you because its a liability issue to let a stranger leave alone with one of their cars. It was too much bs for me so I drove to North Kansas City, picked the model car I wanted, took it to my mechanic the same day, came back to the lot with the cash I planned on giving Robert Brogden, and went home with a brand new car ($2,000 less than I had planned on spending).

Everything was going great until an hour before our scheduled time to come in and sign the paperwork and drive the car home. Then I got a call letting me know they were selling the car to someone else because they got a better offer. We had negotiated prices and I had to bring back my wife the following today to sign on the loan because it was for her business. They didn't want to wait any longer (it was less than 24 hours from agreed price). I even watched them put a "sold" sign in the vehicle before I left. While the salesman was apologetic, the GM obviously didn't care and moved on and hardly made eye contact. The vehicle even had damage (broken light trim and pushed in bumper) that I had to point out to them. Hopefully whoever bought it caught the damage. Ended up buying a car and a truck from another dealer on the same day that wanted our business.

Standard service on 2016 GMC Yukon Denali, arrived 10 minutes early to pre-scheduled appointment. Told 45 minutes and I would wait for the vehicle. Work completed 2 hrs 15 minutes later. Excuses and apologies. Next day "Tire Pressure Service" error came on and low tire pressure light. On road trip, checked tire, pressure appeared fine so continued travel. On return, called for service manager (Joel?) and left a message of the situation and if I could bring it in that afternoon. I have yet to receive a call back from the service manager a day later. Called service again, they said bring it in which I did. Apparently the wireless tire pressure monitor did not connect to one tire so error message occurred. Simple fix in 15 minutes but I had to bring it in again. Overall - disappointed

After having a rather bad experience at another dealership, we stopped into Robert Brogden GMC to look for a new heavy duty truck. Was greeted right at the door and immediately helped. We explained our requirements (1 ton truck, diesel engine, capable of towing 20,000+ pounds), our salesman, Sam, had a truck in the lot that met all of our requirements except for the color. He went out to get it thawed out as recent winter storms had left a rather thick coating of ice on the truck. We discussed some of the features of the various trim levels and then took the truck for a test drive. Upon our return, another salesman on the floor had done some research and found the exact truck we were looking for in their overflow lot and had already pulled the keys for Sam. It was great to see the teamwork amongst the employees at the dealership. We then drove across the highway, found the truck, and after scraping off the ice, we took the second truck for a test drive. We returned a couple of days later to have our trade-in vehicle appraised and even though I had a GM Supplier Discount, the dealer offered an even better deal! In the end, it was too good to pass up. The price combined with the excellent customer service won us over and now we're in a new GMC 3500 HD Denali.

I'm used to waiting an hour or 2 to complete paperwork, but here. If you are looking for a Buick or GMC and don't give Robert Brogden a chance you are doing yourself a tremendous disservice. I drove 4 hours to save $3,500 over my local dealer. I do not give grades for a living but if I did, they would have earned an A+!

Horrible experience from beginning to end. 5 hours we were at the dealer. Took forever to find the Acadias. Found them in a dark lot dirty, clearly they have not been touched since arriving to the lot. I was told the sale ended that night but turns out it went on for weeks after so we were misinformed. Cancelled plans even to be sure to get the sale. The finance terms were wrong but couldn't be fixed because the bank was closed. There was little attempt to sell us the Acadia. Little knowledge of trim and tech features. Online said one price. The dealer said another. The inconvenience of getting the engine fixed when it was brand new. Little to no involvement by us, the customer to make sure we agree with the finances as a deal is being made. We just sat waiting for 2 hours. Didn't agree with the finance terms at signing or the the amount off from the "sale" but didn't seem to care. In our minds there was no "sale". Condition of the vehicle along with only receiving a third of the promo amount off tells me it was all smoke and mirrors. I did not feel like I was getting a deal whatsoever. Also little effort to help us understand the breakdown. Felt pressured to buy when payments were higher than anticapted. Absolutely ridiculous. I would give 1 star but Craig and Bob tried to make things right. I do appreciate that but I am still very disappointed especially as a repeat customer.
