We had called over a couple of months ago because our company van was having issues withe the back door latch sticking. Called for service in which we were transferred over to the parts department who stated that they would order the part (nothing being said about scheduling an appointment to bring it in to look at it first) and give us a call when it came in which would be the next day. About 7-10 days later, we were called as the part came in. Scheduled the van for the repair. Well a few days later, the issue came back. Called back down to Deery service to have them fix it. Scheduled an appointment, took the van there the day of the appointment and left it. 20 minutes after leaving it there, they called the office and said they didn't have the part to fix the van. (Wasted time/trip). So we got the van. They called once the part was received, so took the van for the repair which would be considered warranty work. Before they would release the van, they said we needed to pay for the work. I told them no that this is warranty work. It wasn't fixed right the first time. The operations manager of the service department spoke with me & I stated the same. We were not going to pay because this was warranty work. And when I asked if they warranty their work, he said no. Needless to say after going back & forth, he said that he was going to pay for it but he did not want to see any of our vehicles back down at Deery ever again. In turn, I stated that was fine because this would be the last time that we would ever be back there.

Salesman, Alan was very informative on all the options on my Crysler 300. The financial guy, jerry was awesome at explaining the warranties. My daughter and I actually enjoyed the entire experience. Will buy from them again and recommend them to friends. Very kind to a woman in her 70s and my nearly blind daughter. Will have all service work done there as well.

We test drove the Jeep Friday. The owners manual was in the glove box. It is detailed Monday and the manual is not in the Jeep when we get home. No one knows anything. After we purchased the Jeep we are told there is only 1 key. Kind of shady business practice. Take delivery on Monday, I get a call Tuesday telling me I need to come back because they forgot to have me sign the title. The experience at least gave me material to share in our ethics class at work. Otherwise everything else was good.

After taking my license for a test drive they then forgot to give it back. When I went back to get it they didn’t have it. Apparently it’s really hard to look for it ( or easier to throw away) because no one want to help. I got the feeling with one guy if I had hidden some cheese burgers around he might have gotten out of his seat. Most of the reviews on here also seem made up.

Buyer beware. Bought a 2004 RAV4 early July. Was advertised on their website. Took for a test drive and shifted hard between 1st and 2nd gear. Used car salesman’s said it just needed a computer reset. Actually needed new transmission-2 transmissions later 5weeks after purchasing I finally got to take it home. 4 days later did the same thing. Back to Deery. After 8 weeks of this I said no more- give me my money back. What a joke- advise to Deery DO NOT advertise a car for sale if it has a known problem- fix the damn car first. I will never do business there again. What a joke of a dealership.

Overall I'd I'm satisfied with my experience here. Traded in my truck here and bought another one. Found out once I got home and drove it a few days the tires were bad. Contacted the salesman DominIck and he wouldn't do anything for us. I called the service manager Mark. Explained to him what was going on. we have owned the truck we bought just over 3-weeks and now have a $20k lawn ornament, since they didn't do a through inspection before they put the truck on the lot and they won't take care of the cost to fix it. The band-aid they offered isn't going to cover the problem. the extended warranty they offer is junk. extended warranty they offer is junk. let me add too that when I told them what they were offering wasnt acceptable the "sales manager" told me he was even less inclined to help because I gave them a bad review and tried to throw at me that they got less for the vehicle they traded in then what they gave us for a trade in value. that is not my fault. I have been taken better care if by McGrath when I purchased my older car and it had been off the lot a year. I will take my business back there and I will let my friends know not to purchase from deery.

Bought a 2011 subaru legacy from here a month ago and now it has a blown head gasket, timing belt is shot and the water pump went out, all the coolant fried some spark plugs too, no warning lights came on until it died on the side of the interstate. It's now been over 24 hours and I found out what was wrong with it about 30 mins ago after making several phone calls through out the day. Now they want to dig into the engine to make sure nothing else is wrong. Come to find out I'm more than likely going to have to pay for some of these repairs. So here I am now, with no car to drive, a car payment and full coverage insurance, and now more than likely a repair bill for a car I bought a month ago. And that's after I had to pay 140 dollars to get it towed to the dealership, and only 50 dollars of that will be reimbursed. The kicker here is that the last person to own this vehicle works at deery. Not sure what deery will do about this, it's gonna take them until tomorrow to talk to the sales manager and figure it out. I'm hoping they are ethical about this, because this one purchase may turn into a large financial burden on my family and I. Edit: They are willing to look into everything for free and let me know what the verdict is, my review will be changed accordingly.

I purchased a Jeep Wrangler at Deery about 2 years ago. Today was the worst experience I’ve had with the service department. It was clear the service employee I talked with on the phone last week, and worked with today, did not care about my concerns, questions, or the maintenance of my vehicle. He was sure to tell me how busy he was, though, and that my questions were not his problem. He said they have many vehicles come through for service and mine is just one of those many. I am looking for a different Jeep dealership to work with.

Too many false details from my experience with this dealership. I test drove two vehicles and I thought I was going to be able to drive off the lot that day and literally there was an hour hold up for something that was so small and could've been fixed instantly. Anyway, I won't say any names but one of their salesman sent me a vehicle with only 2WD and every knows that's not going to work in Iowa winter. I asked for other options for a lease and or purchase and never heard for them again. Also, I wanted a 2012 Liberty on their lot and it was there the day I went to test drive and I was highly disappointed to see that. If it's on lot then it should be for sale. Lots of improvement needed for customer service in the future for you guys!!!

I ordered a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Picked it up and thought dealership should have taken more pride in cleaning it, since I just paid $60,000 for it. First wash I did on it, I noticed it had black hard spots on the paint, in various locations. Had they taken the proper time to clean it for the customer, they would have also noticed it I scrubbed my butt off to get whatever it was, off. In the spots I was able to half way get it, the paint is ruined. The way you present a new vehicle to the purchasing customer is important! After all we are paying hundreds of dollars for you to do what you do to a new vehicle upon receiving it in

I bought a Jeep last year, from a different dealership, but they are over an hour away. Therefore, since I have Jeep Wave, I decided to check out this place for my oil change. It was such a pleasurable experience! When I brought a Chevy and would take it to the dealership (different dealership as well) I would be sitting around for hours, the staff was as kind as the folks at the DMV, and just a pain. Here, the staff were ALL so friendly and nice! When I asked for an estimate on time, they said about an hour and a half. I set a timer about 5 minutes in, and then forgot to shut it off until about 5 min after. Guessing from that, it took approximately 65 minutes! That never has happened to me when getting an oil changed! It’s always over! So between the excellent customer service + efficiency I highly recommend this place! Didn’t buy a car from here but would consider it after my experience.

Buyer beware. I purchased their three free oil change package and when I tried to use them, I was told that the free free changes were vehicle specific. When I purchased the contract, I understood that the contract was transferable. I traded for a new Dodge Ram but they would not transfer the contract. I paid for three oil changes and did not get to use any. WHAT A RIP OFF! I trade for a new Ram every three years but I will never set foot in a Deery Brothers again.

It was quick but I’m hoping the oil change was better than the complimentary car wash and quick vac. I think the car looks worse now than before the wash. It was dirty before the wash and I was planning on washing it after it was serviced and there’s no way it was vacuumed even a little bit.

Oil change and tire rotation through Express. Was told that it would take an hour and 20 minutes. Took 2 hours. I was on my lunch so extra late getting back. Don't like that appointments can't be made for these maintenance items. I am not available on Saturdays to do it either. A bit frustrating. Seems to have gotten worse there. I have been going there for a long time.

Buying a car is usually a painful and stressful experience. My wife says it's as bad as trying on bathing suits. This was not the case with Deery. All facets of our purchasing experience was stress free. The process was incredibly quick and painless. We did not feel like we were playing a cat-and-mouse game where we are the eventual losers. We walked away feeling like we received a fair deal. We will definitely buy from Deery again.

Wow, What a great experience. Went in to browse and this sales Guy, Clyde met me with a spectacular welcome. Not the usual pitbull sales person in attack mode. Cup of coffee in hand and a smile as wide as raging rapid river. Greetings and stroll as you please. Told him not planning on buying today, possibly looking in on a great deal as all customers want. Told me that he had this vehicle that just was traded and hasn't even hit the internet or let. OK , I BIT....We went on to look at it. It was what I had dreamed of. Older vehicle with low mileage at the right price and in great shape . I didn't even have to drive it . I made him an possible offer. He ushered me back to the showroom and offered me, a warm towel to refresh myself after his great showing. I left and not five minutes later Clyde calls me and tells me if I'm serious about this vehicle that I should put in a deposit because somebody else is interested in the vehicle. I bit again and I pulled out my credit card and gave him a substantial deposit. The following week me and my wife showed back up 2 pick up the vehicle. It had been freshly waxed and buffed. I seen Clyde out working with another customer and when he was done, he scampered in quickly to greet me and my lovely wife. We finish the sale and we drove off happy and fulfilled with our experience.

I purchased a 2006 Silverado from Deery and I love the truck. My sales man on the other hand was not very good. He was pushy , wouldn’t go to the guy upstairs to get me a cheaper price on the vehicle at all completely refused to offer anything less. I’ve bought a lot of vehicles and never gone through something like this. Also he lied to me when saying the truck was rust free I drove 2 hours to the store and as soon as I looked at the truck there was rust on the rockers. Very disappointed in my sales man but my truck is nice and it was detailed before I picked it up. Would be a one star review for that employee.

I took my vehicle in for a simple oil change and brake pad change. I was informed I would have to wait up to two hours for the services to be completed. Chad was the name of the fella that gave me the time frame. I told him I needed my company van no later than 7 am tomorrow. He said absolutely no problem at all. I showed up to pick the van up and it was still lifted in the air with the tires off. I asked when he thought it would be done he said “haha unfortunately we are all human” I asked him again WHAT TIME do you think it will be ready as I have 3 projects to send a crew out in they need the vehicle for transportation. Chad told me he called me and left a voicemail despite me leaving my number in person with him he said it was deleted and he lost it. He said he was sorry but his negligence cost my company just north of 20,000 dollars. Quality of mechanics performing work was decent. Quality of Chad VERY POOR. Don’t be like Chad.

I have to say that the experience my wife and I had at Deery was the best we ever had at a car lot. When we walked in they made sure to get all the necessary info needed to find us exactly what we were looking for. At first we came in with the anticipation of buying a beater as my old '05 Scion Tc finally met it's age after 300k miles and we didn't think we'd be able to find anything in our price range due to our credit, if it wasn't old or crept up in miles. So when Dom pulled up one of their certified pre-owned vehicles after pulling our credit, we were definitely shocked that this was a vehicle they would even consider us purchasing. Dom thoroughly explained the features of the vehicle and answered all of our questions, making sure we were confident in this big investment. After test driving the vehicle we were definitely in love as it drove smoothly, fit us nicely, and had gas mileage comparable if not better than my Tc. What was the icing on the cake was that they did their best to find a lender that would get us a rate close to what we came in with. They definitely work with the customer and will pull all the stops to make sure you are satisfied before putting ink to paper. We will for sure be coming back the next time we need a vehicle.

We purchased a 2019 Pacifica Hybrid from Deery Brothers Chrysler in Iowa City on June 12, 2019. It had 2893 miles on the odometer. We asked why it was traded in and were told that it wasn’t traded in. We assumed it was a program car or shuttle that had been owned by the dealership. The price was deeply discounted from the price of a new Pacifica Hybrid, so we decided to buy it. When we were signing the sale papers with the finance manager, the last one was the title, and it had a previous owner on it! We asked again about why it was traded. The finance manager called a sales manager, who called in the salesman who had taken it on trade (not the salesman we had dealt with.) He said it had been traded on a non-hybrid because the previous owner really wanted the Stow-and-Go seats and didn’t like the way it was so quiet when running on battery only. We decided to proceed with the purchase. About a week later, an alarm appeared in the display, “service hybrid system.” We made an appointment to have it checked. The Deery technician said that the alarm was related to the cooling system for the hybrid battery. They found no problems beyond low coolant level. They recommended that we return in a couple of weeks for a checkup. This was done on July 19, and no problems were found. In early August we traveled to North Carolina to visit friends. The alarm reappeared both days on the drive. We left the car with Fields Chrysler in Asheville for a couple of days. They consulted Chrysler and were told that the hybrid battery had been replaced at 1091 miles. They did a procedure that Chrysler recommended to fix the problem. Since then the alarm has not reappeared, although the “check engine” light was on for a while during a later trip. Upon returning home, I found out who the former owner was, and called him. He told me they traded the car when the battery failed, and not for the reasons we had been given. On August 9, I visited the dealership with the intent of speaking to the manager. I was told that he was out, and they didn’t know when he would be back. I spoke to a sales manager who heard me out, and, at my request gave me a copy of the paperwork from when the battery was replaced. Later that day, I wrote a letter to Mr. A. J. Perez, the manager of the dealership, telling him of our experience and expressing our displeasure that we had not been told the truth about the history of the car, and our concern about its reliability. It has been more than a month, and I have received no response. Any further mechanical work on this car will be done by an independent mechanic or another dealer. I will not return to Deery, and would never recommend them.

The sales expectations was a drag, I bought a used pickup and nothing but issues came up ever since the first test drive. Mechanically on the initial test drive was fine, then I came to test drive it again and check engine light was on and front right tire was almost flat. They had fixed the check engine light supposedly and less then 60 miles later it came back on. So after 4 trips back to Dealership due to mechanical issues they started telling me they are not going to put anymore money into the vehicle because they are loosing money on the sale. Although the fake sales person swore up and down that regardless of the fact if anything happened they would do whatever needed to be done to make a customer happy. Supposibly they had replaced the old box on the truck with a new one but replaced it with an even worse one( which my mechanic doesn’t even think they changed it, he believes the just repaired it and repainted it) that it originally had. The “new” box had gaping holes in the fenders underneath the fenders that they had additional added to make the truck look nice for a sale and come to find out there is mounts of rust underneath them. And when I called them out on their bluff they started attacking me by being overly aggressive and telling me to just return the truck. Just like every other dealership experience, all they want is a sale and a hardworking persons money. I wouldn’t even give them 1 star. Not saying everyone’s experience will go as bad as mine did, just thought I’d my experience through this company should be noticed. Myself, my friends and family refuse to step foot in this dealership after my experience.
