I found the perfect truck at a great price at Tom Wood Volkswagen. That had exactly what I was wanting. Buying the vehicle was really simple. I had my three little kids with me and they were accommodating to me. Barry is the person that sold me the vehicle. I would highly recommended having him as your salesman. He is a former mechanic for 20 plus years and gave me several great tips on how to keep my truck looking nice. He also did not pressure me what so ever which was really nice.

I have three service parts under warranty. They will honor none of them they state. Don't bother with a region case manager either, just as worthless at getting me taken care of. I miss the days of contracts being honored. If I could only get a lawyer to call me back, we'd be going to court. Update: And then there was Kent, who came along and solved all my problems as I waited six months to get this done. YEAH!!! Finally some competence. Now you can't go anywhere Kent.

Matthew in parts was totally helpful and understanding. I purchased a jug of g13 coolant and also he helped with a 14 star wheel lock key while I swapped to conventional lug nuts. He was real cool and supportive of me still driving and maintaining a MK4 Golf. Other places like Falcone seem to only belittle me for driving something older and cause problems (see my review for them if you wish) and it was really refreshing to come and be treated like the ‘car guy’ that I am. A+ service and will return!

I came into Tom Wood skeptical about buying a new car. I left a devoted Volkswagen customer, and in a new car. John Pittman is the best salesman I’ve ever come into contact with. He is honest, clear, and genuine, which is very difficult to find especially in the car industry. He worked so hard to make sure I was happy with my purchase, and he even sent me personalized videos throughout the car buying process to update me on things I needed to know! I would 100% recommend him to anyone buying a vehicle.
When I walked into the showroom to inquire about a car, my intention was to just look....not buy. I ended up purchasing the car and it was the easiest, no haggling, car purchase to date! I felt no pressure from the salesman who was knowledgable and kind enough to take me on a mini tour of the dealership introducing me to several employees in different departments. I dropped my car off for an oil change on Tuesday around noon. The porter greeted me and was very genuine. I finally got to the advisors desk, Brian. He got me in very fast for my 1pm appointment but when it was time to pick up my car I never received a phone call saying it was ready so I had to walk from work to the dealer to have another advisor give me my keys and complete the transaction. I guess Brian left early and forgot to call me to tell my my vehicle was done so I wasn’t very happy with my first visit there.
From start to finish a professional and welcoming experience. The lady that helped me schedule the service was patient and helpful with my questions. Gentleman that did my vehicle intake was warm and conversational at drop off, accommodating when I changed my pick up time. Vehicle was nicely serviced and even washed. This was a routine service, I'll be back for any other needs I have. Very happy with the experience at Tom Wood VW.
Service technicians are not compentant. Multiple failed repairs since August. Several times I was told the vehicle was “fixed”, only for it to need to go back to the shop a week later. It’s as if quality control does not exist here. Parts missing, parts not installed correctly, etc. I tried calling both my service rep and the service manager, but my phone calls were never returned after multiple attempts to talk with someone. Finally took car to another dealership after escalating my situation and had it fixed right the first time. Expressed frustration to new General Manager and received a very rude response as if it’s my fault and I’m a problem customer. I was literally scolded and given a lecture about how long Tom Wood has been in business and that’s a testimony to how great they are. Tom Wood used to be a reliable place of business. I’ve purchased both my cars from them. After my latest experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I had called in the day before wanting to purchase this vehicle and asked that they have everything prepared for me to come in at 9:00am the following morning to sign all the paperwork. When I arrived the next morning to sign paperwork they had difficulty finding the car and it hadn’t even gone through being detailed or inspected. It was a huge inconvenience because I have three children under the age of 4 that I had to bring with me. They asked that I come back later so they could have the car prepared. I made an appointment to come back in at 5:00pm to finalize everything. I got there at 4:50pm and had to wait almost 50 minutes before everything was prepared and ready for me to sign. Seemed very disorganized.

Went in to get some repairs. Went to work and within a couple of hours I was getting the text that my car was ready!! Nice, friendly staff!!! Even seen a couple cute cars that my spouse and I would like to look into. And they even washed and vacuumed my car!! HEY NOW!!!

For a long time I’ve believed that there was only one car that perfectly fits my Wife’s personality and vigor for life. That car is the Mini Cooper Countryman. For the past five years I promised my Wife that I was going to buy her a red (colors of her sorority) Mini and thanks to Tom Woods Volkswagen I was able to fulfill that promise and make my Wife very happy. She runs half marathons all over the USA and this peppy little “S” series automotive creation allows her to safely, comfortably and stylishly drive to and from her destinations. I had a '16 Golf GTI standard in need of inspection for transmission issues, and was referred to service advisor, Jacob Wainscott. Jacob was quick to contact me with the details of the work order, clearly communicated what recommendations were needed and how pricing was set for parts/labor, and he was responsive with keeping me updated over a week-long servicing period for a large job. Not only was it a pleasure to work with Jacob, but the receptionist and other service advisors were hospitable. I very much appreciate the hard work of the technicians to get my VW back to OEM specifications, and the friendly administrative staff made the experience with Tom Wood VW that much better. I wanted to leave a comment regarding the exceptional service I received when buying my car a couple of weeks ago. Rob Pucci helped me throughout the entire process and was the definition of professional. We were a Ford family and this was my first experience buying a car, let alone a VW! I really loved the Tiguan and Rob made sure to answer all of my questions; he even survived my dad’s thorough line of questioning, which trust me, is impressive in itself! He was very knowledgeable about the VW brand and all of their options/features for all of their different models. I never felt pressured to make a purchase and Rob went above and beyond to work with me and make sure that the car pricing aligned with my budget. Upon receiving the vehicle, Rob made time to show me how to use all the fancy new features and even took me to get a tank full of gas! I really enjoyed working with him & Tom Wood VW and plan to come back when I need another car in the future. Great service, highly recommend!

So far every experience i've had has been a good one. In the service center they are very upfront about pricing and everything is clearly stated on the screens. They arent pushy about trying to get people to 'buy' service they give the information and suggestions, but really let you say what you want. Except for the one guy in the very back who seemed totally disinterested in helping me a few months ago, everyone else has been exceptionally friendly and helpful. The service was just what it should be when I bought my car there last year. I have had a lot of good experiences here and would recommend them.

I have had several recalls on my car, so I took it to Tom Wood VW or the North side. This was NOT something I was loking forward to at all!! I was super impressed from the first encounter with the person who told me where to go, directed me to the person who would be taking care of me, showed me the cafe and introduced me to Gene, who would be taking me to work while my car was being worked on. Every single person was extremely personal and professional. I hadn't ever experienced this level of service in this industry, or anything close to it. When I called about a car but couldn't make it in for a couple days, he made me a personalized video of the car. Staff was great, Stephan was my sales rep and took care of us. No one there tried to BS me about anything, to sell a car. No complaints. Like any dealership, when they are busy with many customers, expect to wait for a while until they can get to you. Love the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty they offer, and the unlimited car washes!
Customer service was great. However they added parts on bill that I did not authorize. Parts are also 3x market price. Quality service but definitely a price inflation for services and parts. Buyer beware.
It was a joyful experience every one was so nice.
I called and left many messages with Jack with no returned call. I left a message with George with no returned call. The day I booked my appointment they did not even look at my car that I dropped off at 10:30am, and called at 3:30 in the afternoon to tell me they could not get to it, I was stranded at work and had to Uber home. I called 5 times the next morning with no returned call and sat on hold for over an hour. I then Ubered to the dealership where no one could help me, John (very nice) through me in a rental because that is all he could do. I called multiple times on Monday and Tuesday with no returned call. Finally I drove there on Wednesday (also with no returned call) to find that they went ahead and changed my oil with talking with me. They made me pay in full for the service (minus my points) and sent me on my way. In addition I had originally made an appointment earlier in the week at the other Tom Wood Volkswagen Dealership in Noblesville that they called an cancelled one hour before my scheduled appointment and proceeded to tell me that they could not get me in for another 2 weeks. My last 3 cars have all been VW's and I will never purchase another, the service and quality of their cars is the worst. Thank you to John (excellent employee) for helping me with what he could! But you have lost a customer for life and I will make sure to tell everyone I know to avoid Volkswagen and Tom Wood at all costs!
Great overall experience. Was hoping they would work with me a little on price or trade, but didnt. Either way the car I picked was what I was looking for. They offer a ton of perks with buying a car. Must check them out if in the area. My salesman was super helpful and very informative.
Have had mixed results. Tried to have them repair a window seal, an alignment/bearing issue, and some other items that were not tested well or resolved the first time or at all. I also got a mistaken quotation for fixing a problem that wasn’t there (door issue on a Routan). Also, a couple times I’ve been told tires are unrepairable because of a nail in a sensitive place but when I asked to see the tire it was already “disposed of.” That said, their service desk is very friendly and communicates well, the shuttle is convenient, and they generally have gotten most things right.
We have our fifth car from Tom Wood Volkswagen. Everyone has always been exceptional, from sales to oil changes. We drive 70 miles and they are much better than any other dealership that is closer to our home.

Tom Wood VW did an excellent job an diagnosing the issues with my car, they communicated with me throughout the process.My CSR was awesome. I even got my car back quicker than expected. The ONLY issue I had was my at was just washed & detailed, my car was returned with bird poop on it. Running my car through a car wash would have sealed the deal. Other than that ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Avoid if possible. We've had a rather poor experience here. While the actual purchase was okay, our experience since has been downhill. Since signing contracts, we've not received our license plates (it's been 11 weeks). After repeated attempts to communicate with various entities, only the salesman has been responsive. After our temporary tags expired, we were informed that the sale processing could not happen because the car had a recall out for the airbag. Legally, they weren't supposed to sell the car until that was fixed. We had to drive 90 miles to another dealership to have that fixed. Takata airbags were fixed and I contacted the dealership 3 times to let them know this. No response. In the meantime, our car has gone into full limp mode with two engine lights on. Three more calls to service, with no response --except from the salesman, who indicated we needed to bring it in for service. (Ironically, this is when were received an email that our title processing was going to finally occur 10 weeks after purchase). We loaded the car on a truck and trailer and drove it back to Tom Wood VW in Indy -- 150 miles each way, 6 hours round trip. They didn't call when it was finished. They sent a generic email with no information at 10 pm. We called the next day, they told us to come get it. Still no information. They promised someone would call to let us know what the issue was. They never called. I picked up the car -- again a 6 hour roundtrip. We were 100 miles away from the dealership when it lit up the dash with another engine code. So, I called the service department again. Still no response! We're at $200 in fuel to take it for repairs and about 18 hours of our lives and we still have a broken car that may or may not belong to us. Fantastic! On top of this, when we bought the car, it was indicated that the 40,000 mile service had been done. This was not the case. Inside, no filters had been changed and the air filter housing wasn't even screwed on. So did they even go through this car when it arrived at the dealership? Very doubtful, though we were assured it was super clean and in great condition. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. The salesman has been helpful, but otherwise it's been a very stressful situation and I wish we'd never done business there.
Everything was easy. Took my car in check for recalls and they scheduled everything right there and took a total of 10 minutes. They outlines what they would be replacing and the timeframe it would take. I received a loaner car while they made the necessary replacements. Great service!
My Sales rep was Austin, and he is unlike any other sales rep you will meet. He is Friendly, knowledgeable, truthful, and ultimately got me in the vehicle I wanted! I felt no pressure to make a decision. This speaks volumes about how the dealership conducts its business and the people it hires. I purchased a used car with confidence and peace of mind from Tom Wood VW for $29000. I lost both confidence and peace of mind when I found out that the tire tread left on the car was only 5/32” after driving for only 6 weeks (~1000 miles). Based on the Carfax report they showed me, the tires were replaced at 10k miles and the car has 33k miles when I purchased. Which means the tire tread is down to 60% within 20000 miles. One tire had a hole and I had to replace all 4 tires. I contacted the sales team over phone and was told to deal with Bridgestone Tires (thank you for the valuable suggestion!). I asked them if they can give me couple of oil changes as compensation for this and the answer is NO as it is not their fault. I find it as your fault because you sold me a car worth $29000 with only 40% of tread life. Beware of add-ons that they sell. The salesmen told me they cannot sell the car without installing Pulse and Xzilon treatment on the car. I should have stepped out without making the purchase, it is my fault. I purchased the car on Saturday and they called me Monday morning saying my car is ready for pickup. They forgot to install Pulse and I wasn’t sure if they did the Xzilon. I had to go back to the dealership couple times to get these two add-ons. How ethical is it for a big dealership to sell Xzilon treatment on the car with scratches? You could have sold me brand new tires instead of these nice to have add-ons that wont add any value to the car. The sales team will never reply to your emails post sale (at least I never got any). The car looked very clean from outside and the seats were cleaned very well. But there is lot of junk and pet hair below the seats. My toddler picked up peanuts and I was glad I stopped him from putting it in his mouth. The car has been with the dealer for almost 2 months and who knows which bacteria grew on it. A simple vacuum cleaner could have pull all that off from the carpet. This tells me how detailed the detailing was done. I gave this feedback to the sales manager and he did not even care for detailing the car. I can keep on writing but it is not worth my time. Just beware and be cautious while buying a car from this place. Update: Hi Kent, I called your number multiple times on the same day and left voicemails as well. I emailed my sales representative for the 3rd time asking him at least send me a courtesy reply stating there is nothing he can do, but no reply. This is a classic example of the customer service.
Reasonably friendly service staff and comfortable waiting areas, but sales and service need to get on the same page. My 45 minute wait time turned into a two-hour ordeal and almost cost me $88 for a supposedly free oil change. Thankfully everything was finally resolved, after they found my keys that is.

Made sure it was completely fixed even though it meant they had to keep it longer. They made sure that I had something to use to still take my family on vacation. Significant powertrain problems and a 10k mile service caused this service appt. The vehicle was delivered with a bad injector and manifold leaks. This led to some drivability problems and the remote start failing. Previous attempts to fix this implied a $100 diagnostic fee which caused me to cancel the appt. With the 10k service I relented to getting the service completed. All the powertrain repairs were under warranty which seemed right. The repairs took 4 days which seemed long but hopefully all problems are resolved. I still don't know why a failed injector and leaking manifold seals never set the "Service Engine" light. The Service department did a fine job but the web-based service system needs to be improved.

Brought my vehicle in for a simple oil change. It took them over 2 hours in the service department. When I was told they were done and had washed my vehicle I was directed outside to find that it had not been washed which added additional wait time. I'm not happy with my experience here at all.
Professional to the core and top of the line service from start to finish. Time estimates were on point and they kept me updated as the work progressed. There is a lot to be said for a well trained, conscientious staff. I will never use third party to maintain my VW.

Prices on routine service are competitive. Customer service is typically top notch. Clean, spacious waiting area makes it easy to work while you wait. Work has always met expectations.

Dropped off the daughters car late in the day Thursday for a bunch of items and spoke with Jack Harrell. Quickly got us in and out. Everything was done as asked and then some. Also spoke with Jacob Wainscott due to Jack not being on a day and knew exactly what was going on and where the car was in the repair process. Received car back exactly when promised. The tech, Josh McCullough, got a laundry list of things done. Work was perfect. Car was clean and washed (especially considering it’s my daughters car) inside and out. Have heard that others have complaints about this VW dealership but I cannot figure out why. All the staff is friendly and courteous, the work is always first rate. Only place my VW’s come to (and I have three). 10/10!

We had an excellent experience with Tom Wood Volkswagen of Indianapolis. This is probably the fourth buying experience we’ve had with them and it’s only improved on each vehicle. A family member was in need of a safe but affordable vehicle that was AWD because of the amount of the brutal Winters they drive through in Porter County. They already had an AWD crossover that was a luxury vehicle and was didn’t want to give up the safety features and the AWD they already had. We saw an incredible looking 2018 Tiguan with AWD with only 5000 miles online for an extremely reasonable price! Called up the store and spoke to Kent the GM and he set up an appointment for us to come drive it. Had Tim Rand a sales manager ready to answer all our questions and Rob Pucci the sales consultant go over the car and explain everything we wanted to know and even made sure the Bluetooth was set up for the phone before we left! Super easy transaction! Thank you so much! Highly recommend them!

I was negatively surprised at my bill, $102 for an oil change that previously cost $69. I will likely do my own oil changes in the future (as I do on my other two cars).
Original review: After an uninsured driver totaled my car, I was less than thrilled about hunting for a new one. Thankfully, Tom Wood Volkswagen made the car-buying process relatively painless. Their salesmen are fair, the finance manager, prompt and respectful. I’m also looking forward to free car washes for life. Would recommend this dealership to anyone.

My son has had continued problems with his 2014 Jetta since Oct 2018. The check engine light comes on, rpms rev, car gets very sluggish and eventually won’t go. He turns it off then back on. Hit and miss whether the light comes back on. Had it in 2 days ago for full diagnostic. Replaced sparks plugs and coils. Today he is having exact same problem. Now his check engine light goes between on, off and flashing. Car will not go more than about 20 mph. Hope bringing it back in today can get to the bottom of issue.

Overall, I have had a majority of positive experiences with staff and services. I have never had a direct complaint about the quality of the services or repairs done to my car, however, I do have some indirect or minor complains. While the service is top notch, you can tell the technicians (or staff) do take ‘shortcuts” when convenient. For example, I had my car in for a replacement of the center dash (replaced under warranty). The replacement was done well but when driving out of the lot I noted that the technicians did not plug back in the power cord for my outlet in the dash. While this is only one example of a shortcut, I have one other complaint and concern regarding the smaller things. They do a great job.
Got to my car quickly and kept me updated the whole time. Very comfortable environment while I waited.
John was a great help. I was also very impressed that some of the used vehicles have a lifetime powertrain warranty.
I had a 10:40 appointment but wasn’t even spoken to until 11:00. I was standing in front of the service desk the whole time. Finally a gentleman asked me if I had been helped yet. If I have to make an appointment to have my vehicle serviced, it should be an expectation that I am there on time. Likewise, I should be able to expect that my vehicle will actually be looked at when I get there. My schedule is busy and having to wait until 30 minutes after my appointment time is very inconvenient. The service was good when I was finally helped at 11:10.
Last week my family and I went in to look at a vehicle. From the moment we walked up to the doors to the last hand shake, our experience was great. Barry Hanna greeted us and was helpful, friendly and experienced. They were a little busy and he had others he was helping but he pulled the car around for us to check out and checked on us several times before we chose to buy. We had our 2012 Jetta in 2 weeks ago to have the windshield wiper motor replaced. It went out again today. Now it’s been tested and they say it’s fine. Not good when you have a 45 mile commute and it’s raining.

Great customer service while picking up my car. Played phone tag with the service advisor all morning and never did get a phone call back. Oh well at least the car was ready when I went to pick up at 1pm. Otherwise, excellent service and the guy at checkout was patient and even waited for me to find my 10% coupon that was in my email.
Took my 2018 Tiguan to local tire place today to get the winter tires swapped out for the original all season tires. Found out that Tom Wood has ripped TWO of the tire beads (I’ve had them in storage in my garage all winter). Can’t believe Tom Wood didn’t check this when they swapped the tires! I waited more than 4 hours at that visit to Tom Wood just to get winter tires fitted. I booked online but when I got there, they did not even have the tires ready to install. Now have to buy 2 new tires because of time constraints but will be making a complaint to Tom Wood VW!
My wife dropped our SUV off for an oil change and nobody told us how much it would cost. Come to find out, I need to mine for gold when getting the vehicle serviced at Tom Wood VW. Cost for oil change and tires rotated (not balanced, just rotated) was $125. Just had my oil changed at Penske Honda across the street with synthetic oil and tires rotated for $60. Thank you Tom Wood!!!!!!

They didn’t vacuum my car like I asked. I brought my car in for an oil change and now the oil light is on. I went back for additional oil change the service was excellent. They greeted me as I pulled in then right to a service person. They vacuumed my car and explained what needed to be done. Very quick. I was very pleased

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!! We bought a 22,000 vehicle and have an expired 45 day tag, made 2 payments and still do not have the paperwork to get proper plates and they will not give another 45 day tag. I have spoken with Kent Goldin, Tim Rand (not sure of correct spelling of names) both promised to return calls and have not and will not even take a call. So I am sitting with a vehicle that I am not able to drive and no one will take my call!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE>>>I gave 1 start because it would not let me post without giving at least 1

Scam, stay away if you are in the market for a used car. They turn off check engine lights and sell the car as is. Their "warranty" program will have you in there monthly charging you for useless work, even in the first month you have the vehicle.

After considering purchasing a used car over the weekend, I decided to move forward with buying and called Tom Wood to let them know I would like to put a deposit down at 8:30 the following Monday morning. At 11:30 I got a return call saying all was good and put a deposit down to hold the car to complete my purchase later that day. At 1:40 I received another call that they went to mark the car as sold and, in fact, it had already been sold to another couple earlier the same morning... Definitely a lot of time wasted on my end and an unfortunate experience. Especially considering this would be the fifth car my family has purchased from Tom Wood. This experience tells me they either do not have their stuff together or used my offer to leverage another buyer after already expressing that I wanted to purchase and placing a deposit, either way, not impressed. (I put a $1000 deposit on the car, as mentioned. I then had to call and make sure that charge wasn’t going to show up on my card after receiving a voicemail four hours later stating oops car was already sold that morning ... so it sold in the two hours prior to me placing a deposit when the sales person and manager claimed they weren’t aware of any sales because all sales people were in a meeting... The sales person told me not to worry about a charge because the card was never swiped as he knew i was coming back with a check to purchase in full later that day... Sounds like the policy and ethical codes at Tom Wood are really working. Thanks for all the help!)
Great salesman, but still spent to much time trying to make the purchase. 6 hours is too long. I hope for good maintenance services moving forward. I do love my 2016 Tiguan S and the warranty is what clinched the deal.

I brought my Passat in for a recall, annual check up and my tire light was on. When I left w/ my brand new tire, my tire light was still on! When I called back I was told how to reset it or bring it back in. I thought when they were finished putting on my tire, they would haven’t taken care of that! Trying to reset it has not worked! So now I have to work into my schedule another time to go back and get it fixed. It’s annoying! And the rest of my experience was excellent. Chris was my customer service representative! I’m greatly appreciative of being able to use a car while my car was in service! Thank you, Joan Schneider

I am disabled therefore have difficulty checking air pressure of tire. Jacob W. Was kind enough to check air pressure he reset the warning light and showed me how to reset. He fixed an extra key that was not working correctly. I asked for bill he said no charge and I ask for a card to call him if I needed any additional repairs on VW. Thanks Jacob & Tom Woods for allowing a old man help and treated me and wife with respect.
