Salesman Avery Lions and Cory are dangerous together, Lol. Just kidding, they are great guys. My Wife and I took our Kia Soul that we purchased about 10 months ago in for just an oil change. While in the lobby I started looking around (beginning of the dangerous part). Long story short we left with one expensive oil change and a free Sportage to go with the Soul, Lol. And when you do visit Ray Skillman Kia West ask Justin to do the worm for you. Lol. Seriously, This is the BEST place to buy a car. They truly have a relationship with their costumers.

Our experience at Ray Skillman was great. The sales person was friendly, not overbearing and found us what we were looking for. The test drive was good and there was no pressure to move us to something we didn't want. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a good experience in car buying.

I had been making payments faithfully on a car for almost 3 years and then the transmission started failing. Desprate to find another car my mom referred me to ray skillman. When i first called i was told to go to the Kia west location. When I arrived some red haired man named Kent approached me. I was very upfront and explained I make a lot of money for a 23 year old but have bad credit. Kent still urged me to apply. I applied and Kent asked for the keys to my car to get an appraisal. They told me to wait in the store to see if I could be approved. I waited almost 2 hours and kept having to ask if there was an update on my approval or disapproval. Finally my fiance had enough and asked for the keys to our car so we could leave. Kent handed him the keys but did not mention he moved our car. We walked around looking for the car before going back in. They treated me like an animal. When I got home I called the store and asked about the approval and they said I was approved. After a week of calling to see what kind of car I could possibly get they told me to instead go to their buy here pay here due to they ran out of vehicles because of tax season!! Ray skillman has liars and just all around rude people working there. I went to carmax and they put me in a brand new Mitsubishi outlander. I just hate I wasted time with ray skillman, they made me feel awful.

Tim Perkins exceeded our expectations as a sales consultant. We had a couple of issues that we wanted corrected on the vehicle when we purchased and he was prompt in getting them resolved. He even came in on his day off to ensure the issue was fixed correctly by the service department. Hope to purchase from him again in the future.

I needed to get an unexpected repair done on my Mitsubishi. The Blend Door became stuck & I had no heat. The temperature changed for the worse (single degree temps) & my young children had to be wrapped in blankets while driving around town. I was able to speak with Caitlin K. & Justin E. who were immediately helpful in providing a solution! Caitlin was able to assist me with the financing application in moments! Thumbs up Caitlin! Justin was very knowledgeable about the type of work needing done on my car. He also was reassuring that he was more than capable of performing the job. Two Thumbs up! Patrick R. sealed the deal by completing a job before the estimated time communicated. This Service Team deserves 5-stars PLUS a raise! They worked together to be responsive to my needs in a professional & respectful manner. This is the most ridiculous car dealership that myself or family has ever dealt with. They do everything they can to sell you a car and then treat you like an unintelligent neanderthal once they have gotten the sell. I was talked in to a lease over 3 years ago and it is the worst mistake I have ever made. I even tried to get a new car from there was talking about pricing I was spoke to like I was a homeless beggar when I said it was not in my price range. Save yourself and NEVER do business here!

Didn't have the selection of used vehicles I expected. The salesman Rockland Lay was professional and very helpful at first since he knew I really wanted to buy a car that day. When my older brother who is a mechanic was giving me advice over the phone the salesman became rude and unprofessional towards me. Just purchased a Kia Sorento SXL from Ray Skillman Westside Auto Mall. My husband and I had a great experience. We were greeted by both the sales manager Loren and sales consultant Austin when we arrived. Both were very very helpful and respectful They searched and found just the model we were looking for. We had been to other dealerships where our questions about the car were not answered. Austin knows his cars and explained many features about the car. There was no high pressure but by knowing their cars and explaining functions as well as warranties we knew this was the place for us to buy. Not only did he attempt to show us(my daughter) cars in our price range on the Kia lot...but also took us to test drive at Mazda, Hyundai, Mitsubishi... Things have changed at this location regarding service. No communication from the service team, I have to call to get information regarding my service, in fact simply oil change took them 2 1/2 hours. I"m not sure who is new or who has left, but this is not the service I am used to getting at this location. I will not be going back. Which is sad, I was going to purchase a car from this location, but have now changed my mind. I will be going elsewhere for my new car purchase and car maintenance. Free cookies doesn't make up for poor service.

****UPDATE***** The very next day Blake from Kia read my review and called to apologize about the service I received. He also offered me a free oil change and car wash on my next visit. I can’t say how surprised and pleased I am just for the simple fact they care about customer satisfaction. I absolutely retract my statement about finding another dealership. Anyone who wants and cares to guarantee customer satisfaction will always have my business. Customer service is everything to me. I definitely recommend Ray Skillman. They care. So I’m new to the area, but my warranty contract states that I must get my oil changed only at a Kia dealership. So as soon as I pull in my tire pressure light comes on. I ran over a nail in THEIR driveway. I then had to pay $20 yes $20 for them to plug it along with my $50 oil change. They said with the oil change I get a free car wash and vacuum. It was lightly raining that day so they told me they could not do the wash or vacuum. I asked if they would owe me one. The lady laughed. I’ll be looking for a different Kia dealership next time

Not all of their service men are familiar with the importance of having good customer service. If I wanted to be treated like an inconvenience, I could just go get internet/cable from Comcast and call their customer service line. With the plethora of dealerships and auto service spots in the area, you would think they'd show more urgency and respect to keep returning customers; today's experience proved that they no longer deserve my business. Took them 8 hours to change my oil and rotate my tires, and upon picking my car up and paying, the man I was told to go to to pay was clearly ready to clock out for the day based off of how he spoke to me. He got someone else to help me because he didn't want to be bothered and when I told them how rude he was, he stuck his head around the corner to pretty much call me a liar and speak over me. I've been a customer for 6 years; bought two new cars from them and everything. No more of my business.

I had gone to another Kia dealer during my car shopping process, and even though I liked the car, I found the staff to be unorganized, unprofessional, and pushy. I had a much better experience at Ray Skillman. I didn't feel any pressure from Ryan and the guy I test drove with (can't remember his name). I also appreciated on my test drive that instead of just rambling on about the car's features the whole time (which was my experience at the other Kia dealership), the staff member I was with acknowledged that I had already done a lot of research on the car, and rather just answered any additional questions I had. Overall I felt respected and like I wasn't being screwed over.

I was in the market for a new car but had plenty of time to make the decision. I stopped in to test drive the car I wanted to purchase and let them know that I was not looking to buy anytime soon. I worked with Dorsey and she was very pleasant and helpful. Of course she wants to sell me a car! LOL! However, I shortly realized that Dorsey was genuine and helpful and yes she wanted to sell me a car but she didn't give me the high pressure sales tactics that I was expecting. The time frame that I gave them soon shortened as I decided to move quicker than I thought. However, I wanted a certain color exterior and interior that was very hard to find. Dorsey turned that task over to her manager Lorne Hayden. He worked tirelessly to find exactly what I wanted and so I came in the next day. Dorsey was busy when I got there and I had help from others including Lorne Hayden to make sure I was not sitting there for hours. I am usually a person that buys from Carmax because I don't like the new car buying experience. This was different and I appreciated it very much. Great job Ray Skillman Kia West!

Overall my experience at Ray Skillman was great! From the moment I walked onto the dealership lot, I was greeted with enthusiasm. Talking over all the logistics of what I wanted and what I can expect before I purchased my vehicle was slightly intimidating since it was my first vehicle purchase, but the employees at Ray Skillman were really accommodating and didn't hesitate to explain things in depth. Typically, you go into a dealership expecting a car salesman to pretty much try to get you to purchase all the bells and whistles in some sneaky way, but that wasn't the case here. Just know what you want and the staff at Ray Skillman will do what it takes to provide your wish list or better! I had the opportunity to work with Dorian Smith and he pretty much made the experience, from beginning to end, painless. Can't believe I'm a car owner, but I'm excited every time I see my Sorento! I was disappointed today (6.17.19) at Ray Skillman Kia West because I came in for an oil change and didn't get my full service. It included a tire rotation which I didn't get because they said I didn't need it. The price was 49.95 which I felt the price should have been a little lower. I called about it and Casey put me on hold until the phone hung up. She didn't want to deal with it. That was very rude.

I have been a Honda customer since 2008 and very loyal to a dealership in Avon buying and/or leasing 3 cars from them. 1 1/2 years ago that dealership changed and not only did I stop recommending them, but dreaded taking my car in for service. I decided I needed to make a change, after reading many reviews I chose to visit Ray Skillman Kia. WOW! They listened to what I was looking for in a vehicle, then had to track it down (only 1 in the state) and gave me 1 to drive home until mine comes in. I even called the next day to make some changes to my loan, expecting to talk to a disgruntled sales manager, but instead I talked to a very willing sales manager! He adjusted it the way I asked like it was just not a big deal! They have my vote, so if you're looking you may now stop. Make the call, this dealership is how all should be!

I went one week ago to the Pike Plaza location for a recall. When I arrived I told Matt of the fact that my right front tire was showing low pressure. After they finished with the recall and I was told my car was ready, I asked Matt about the tire, since he had not mentioned it. I was told it was the sudden cold weather we had. I said, “why is it just the one tire then?” I don’t remember the reply, but he shuffled through the papers and said they looked at it and didn’t see anything wrong with the tire. Two days later my car showed me the same notice: low tire pressure in the right front tire. I took my car to discount tire today and there was a nail in that same tire!! I had hoped I had found a dealer where I could trust them with the car I had bought from them 6 months earlier... apparently not. I’m disappointed and unhappy with their service. ☹️☹️☹️

My car was flipping like a NASCAR wreck. All 10 air bags deployed and even though I had to be cut out of my new car, I survived without a scratch. We went in there with the intentions of getting a car cash if we could or finance if they where giving us a good deal. But they just walked away when we where offering 17k cash for a car, and when we went to talk to them and come to an agreement they told us they weren't babysitting. So we left . But watch out people dont let them be sneaky because they will end up selling you something you dont like and say it's a good deal. Good thing we left and went somewhere else because we where able to get a brand new car for the right price ! And with no problem at all. !! GO TO ANDY MOHR KIA IN AVON!! THEY ARE THE BEST.

This should have been a 4 or 5 star review. They do good work and their waiting area is legitimatly comfortable. However, the amount of time it takes for relatively simple maintenance is unbelievable. At least double and probably triple what you would expect a skilled tech to take. I was also charged for at least an extra hour of labor on my last trip there. Probably closer to 2. Good quality work, but I doubt I will be going back.

Where to start! I went in for an oil change and tire rotation and balance. That part was ok. Then I get the bill and it is $50 more at this location than it is at Skillman on US31 south near Greenwood. So I ask them about it and I get the typical "I'm sorry" line. We are usually close to the same price, maybe off around $5.00! So after looking at my recites from the skillman on 31 they have me the same coupons and it took it down to $90, still a far catch from $55 at the skillman on 31. Will never go back to this store for service of any kind.

Ray Skillman came to our rescue when our car broke down while passing through Indianapolis. Our car was towed to the dealership after service had closed. I had contacted them that our car was coming in late with hopes it could be checked out first thing the next day. By 11:00 repairs were assessed and parts ordered. We took delivery of our car at 3:30 and were on our way Thanks to all in service who helped us.

I've never had a good experience with any dealership. Usually it has always been very stressful and was like pulling teeth to get what I need out of the deal. I believed that if I had a good experience that somehow I got the bad end of the deal or if I had to argue with sales or finance staff that I've somehow won. Well, staff at Ray Skillman Kia asked me what I wanted. I told them. They not only listened and delivered exactly what I needed to happen, but they also threw in extra discounts I didn't ask for. I was in a very difficult situation with my trade in vehicle that was honestly a little embarrassing. They gave me respect and were supportive. They spent a great deal of time searching for the best deal available. They delivered. I had a great experience. So much i had to go to the dealership manager to compliment not only him, but everyone who had helped me. I was so surprised that they delivered my requests w/o arguing or haggling and then took it a few steps further to sweeten the deal. My wife and I will be back! I promise!

For this reason, I am adjusting my rating to 4 stars. 4 Months ago: I took my Kia Rio in and was pleased with the service, However, 3 weeks later, I received a letter from SiriusXM offering me a trial subscription. The letter referenced my visit to Ray Skillman and also included the date of my visit. I do NOT appreciate Skillman giving (selling?) my name and address to a 3rd party. I'm now wondering how many other companies have been given my name and address. And was my private phone number also given(sold?)? I would have given 4 stars, because the service was good, but I definitely had to deduct 2 stars for their overall business practice. It's hard to continue doing with a business that cannot be trusted.
