I bought my Lexus on Oct 30, 2015. It was definitely not a trick but a wonderful treat. Best treat I've had in a long time (it's up there w/ the homemade candied apples I used to get on Halloween when I was a child!!!). Didn't know one could fall in love with a car but I fell hard. My 2013 pre owned RX 450 hybrid is the best car I've ever had. In fact it is so comfortable that when I turn on the heated steering wheel and seat, I'm afraid I'll fall asleep (haven't though). This hybrid is so quiet my dog doesn't even hear it in the when I pull in the drive way next to the house. When stopped, passengers always ask is the car still on because it goes into eco mode and is virtually silent. The service is great and John Desmet, Business Manager is the best. David Whelan was and continues to be the bestest (one step above best) sales and leasing consultant I've ever had. He's a good dresser too. He was able to explain all the bells and whistles on my car even it took a gazillion times. He was very patient. I'd highly recommend this dealership to anyone buying a car. I've always wanted a Lexus because I love the way it feels on the road. Driving 100 miles + every day to and from work is a pleasure in this vehicle.

I went into this dealership with a 2016 LX570 with 35,000 miles on it and was told that specific parts were no longer under warranty even though the car has a bumper to bumper warranty up to 50,000 miles on it. Todd Bosak turned out to be racist and didn't want to service my car because my name is Mohammed
They dont take good care of their used cars, when I took test drive that car just cannot move at all, and the salesman told me it was due to rainy weather. Why this didnt happen to me at other dealers? What was worse, they forced me to provide my phone number, and explained to me this was a kind of respect to my visit by keeping my record. I give this dealer the worst rating.

The dealership had a Cadillac CTS in stock that I had been looking for. Agreed on a price and traveled a couple of hours to purchase it. I give them a hassle free purchase in the 30k price range, probably one of the easier sales they have made. This is the 5th time I have purchased a vehicle and every other dealership readily filled up the tank with gas on purchase. I asked the sales rep I worked with if they were gonna full up the gas (it was essentially empty). He went and asked the “boss” and came back in the office and the “boss” said “no”. I was aghast and just thought it was standard protocol so to speak. I politely asked the rep to go ask again, he came back and said the boss said “you got a good enough price on the car I’ll give you a 1/4 tank”. Really? Hope it was worth the $40 savings on the fill up to have this review posted.

What a waste of money -BYER BE AWARE Bought a new car here RX450, The finance guy offered a coverage for tires and wheels for 899$ It is called platinum plus -Covering it for 4 years, well it looked like a good deal to me, WRONG, I basically just threw away 899$ since the company that LEXUS has a contract with will not cover charges in full. I had a 1' scratch on my wheel and the cost to repair was 125$ but the company would only compensate me for 75$ I called the financial manager at the dealer but she wasn't there so I left her a message, she's too busy I guess, maybe she won't ever call me, I mean why would she? I already bought a car 1 more think I heard, a different person told me that, "they will only cover 50% the second year", "it's in small letters"

When I went to Lexus of Merrillville I was pleasantly greeted by Jessica French, who would soon become my go to sales consultant. I gave Jessica a laundry list of options my husband wanted (I'm a bit less fussy than he is) and she went to work. She brought up only the vehicles that we may be interested in and suggested test drives. We were undecided and narrowed it down to 2 vehicles, Jessica was patient and understanding with us even up to the last minute, knowing it's a big decision. We ultimately chose the 2016 NX200t F Sport, once the decision was made it was paperwork time, again Jessica was great, she had so much prepared ahead time. Our whole experience at this dealer was wonderful, I would highly recommend them. We love our Lexus and I love all the options my husband wanted!! Terrible experience working with pre-owned car salesman. I called and inquired about a pre-owned vehicle I noticed on their website and asked for some additional information - I told him I wanted a video of the vehicle and he claimed he couldn't because it was against the law (very odd). I told I wanted a video to check for a noise which is the actuator that supplies the timing chain with oil and if it doesn't get repaired it could lead to timing chain failure. He tried to tell me that he's owned similar cars and has never heard of this issue despite the fact it's a commonly documented issue. He was very hesitant to honor this request which was concerning however he did start the car while on the phone with me which I appreciated. As the conversation continued I had to stop him multiple times because he was trying to speak over me, interrupting me in the middle of my sentences. I was extremely frustrated after having to do this sternly MULTIPLE times in a matter of a couple of minutes. He was rude and disrespectful to continue this kind of behavior despite my requests for him to refrain. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and continued to work up an out the door price. He came back with a number nearly 20% more than the asking price of the vehicle. I asked for an itemized list of the charges to which he said they cannot provide. He then claimed there were nearly $400 in "fees" because I was an out-of-state buyer - very odd given the fact I purchased a vehicle down the road from this dealership within the past year and didn't have these so called "fees." At the end of the conversation he told me they couldn't work on the price at all because it's a Lexus dealership and they sell, and I quote; "$100,000.00 Lexus's." In the end he not only made himself look arrogant and rude but he very poorly represented this dealership and the Lexus brand. This kind of experience was no where near the standard we've received when we've purchased cars from other dealerships. I would absolutely avoid this dealership at all costs.

This is the best place to get a car and receive the best customer service. I had a nail stuck in my tire the size of my index finger and they have fixed it within hours. I wanted to purchase a RX 350 in a color which was not available. I refused to compromise. It took 2 month but I finally got the phone call that my vehicle was in. My salesman kept me informed during my wait, reassured me everything was being done to get what I wanted. I finally got the call that made my day. My husband and I went to get my car and it was 9:30 PM when we left the dealership. I think they close at 9 PM but not once did they rush us with all the paper work, they were very friendly and accommodating. I think I was more concerned about them staying late than they were. Actually brought my Toyota Camry into that Lexus because of the service manager Todd Sobczak. His knowledge of cars, their engines, and drivetrains are well known in the area. My front end started shaking badly coming home from work one night so I thought I'd give him a go at it. It took an entire day and what I thought was a front end alignment turned out much more involved. He took my car for a ride and found out the front shook very badly upon braking at higher speeds. He found not only were the front tires horribly unbalanced but found the rotors themselves had to be cut. So he had taken down everything on both sides of the car, turned the rotors, rebalanced the tires, and did a full car inspection. No rental car as I did not buy the car there. The price was very good for what was done. He also explained what the difference was between bringing my car to him and continuing to bring my car to places like the Tire Barn for my tires. I will continue to bring my car to him knowing I might pay slightly more than a Toyota dealer. I do so because for the first time in my 47 years of owning a car I have complete faith that when I have something done to my car it's because I NEED IT DONE! Great person to have on your team. I had a great experience with this dealership! Our salesperson, Joe, was great from the very beginning: answered all my questions over the phone and checked all the crazy things I asked him to check, was very well prepared when we met him in person, was very knowledgeable about the car, although we did not purchase a Lexus, was attentive and very honest. We traded our car in and got a fair deal. Joe was not pushy at all, like other car sales people I dealt with in the past! The finance person was just as great - it took about 10 minutes to finalize the paper work, once we got into his office. I can't say enough good things about this place!
We bought a certified pre-owned on a Saturday told it would be available to pick up on Monday. We came back Monday & nothing was done that was suppose to be. So back again to have these items taken care of. I received a call that my vehicle was ready so drove back & still these issues were not resolved, so back again! Left the car with the manager of the dealership this time who apoligized, however, implied that it was our rush to get the vehicle that resulted in this! SERIOUSLY! What! Non the less thought 4th times a charm (ha) the issues would MOST certainly be taken care of.. NO! I got the car back and now the radio is not working at all! It worked before this. So called AGAIN, and was told wow, I have never of heard of the radio not working as if I'm making this up! So yes, going back a 5th time!! I would NEVER, EVER recommmend or buy from this dealer again. Calls go unanswered, service department is inept and sales is the usual car sales mentality. Sell and run! I have many friends that have had similiar issues with this dealership so know it's not isolated to us. Buyer Beware!
I bought my used 2008 Ford Mustang from this dealer in the summer of 2012. Today... more than 3 years later... they just helped me clear up an incorrect "odometer rollback" item that was in my Mustang's AutoCheck report. Worst customer service experience ever. I simply called asking for availablility of used car and had a few questions about it. The lady that picked up the phone was very rude and unprofessional. I had asked to speak with someone else to which she responded and none else can help me with my questions. I can only imagine how they treat their customer once you at the dealership. One of the worst customer experiences ever.

Car was very clean and fairly priced after being on the market for over 45 days. Financing was quick and the service department did a nice job to further polish the 9 year old vehicle to a very good condition considering its age. Nice buying experience, especially after we had visited several other dealers in the Chicago area. Worth the drive to Merrillville Lexus.

Joseph Sepulveda sold me a car on 3.16.19 by 3.19.19 the car had already broken down and needed to be towed. I was told I would have a word back about my car that day but I heard nothing even after sending texts asking for updates. The next day I called 4 times and Joe would not answer my calls and give me any updates on my car. They did not offer me a courtesy car or anything leaving me without a car for 3 days. I called and talked to a manager who, also, never returned my calls. When I finally got a call back from them they told me they would do nothing for me and I had to pay out of my own pocket not only for the repairs to my car but also half the price of the tow. Not only did they sell me a car that didn’t work but their lack of communication was appalling.
They treat everyone awesome. Niciest car dealership I have been in. Employees go above and beyond to be helpful. We bought a used car there summer 2017. It has been over a year we have had the car. They took care of a problem we had November 2017 and the car hasn't had any issues since.. Love the blind spot monitor and back-up camera. Just had our 25,000 mile service November 2018. Answered all our questions. Had our car washed while there for the first time. They did a nice job. Just a really nice place to buy a vehicle. Also important part of buying a car is a good service department.

We bought a pre-owned 2007 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer that apparently went though an intensive inspection prior to being sold to us. This was in October 2014, 5 months ago. Since then, we have replaced 4 ignition coils, which we were hoping would be the end of our problems for a good amount of time. Well, my wife was driving home 2 days ago, and here we go again. Engine is overheating so she pulls over and there is fluid all over the ground. Had the POS towed to a local Ford dealership and just received the quote of $2600+ to replace the radiator coolant thermostat and o ring ($974.75), replace left rear axle seal ($369.04), replace rear differential fluid ($66.09), Replace spark plugs ($354.86), clean throttle body ($119.95), perform alignment ($99.75), and replace both front lower ball joints ($594.41). This is absolutely inexcusable. We traded our Saab SUV for something that would be reliable as we have a child on the way. Thank you Lexus of Merrillville for all of the headache and financial burden you have placed upon my family. Please call me if you would like to make things right, you have my phone # on file.

DONT BUY USED CAR FROM THEM. They lowered the price $100 because the exhaust heat shield needed replaced and $25 since a headlight needed replaced. So I bought it and drove it home. The next day a service light came on when driving it. So I made an appointment at my local dealership for that brand of car. I found out there’s a pump going out of it that cost over $1500 + $500 labor to get it switched and the heat shield they lowered it $100 for cost about $1350 and $150-$200 labor changing it. So I called and told them the car needs $3500 put into it right away and they said the car was sold as is. SO IF YOU ARE CHECKING OUT A CAR FROM THEM. TAKE YOUR TIME AND CHECK OUT EVERYTHING ON IT AND DONT RUSH INTO BUYING A CAR FROM THEM!!!

First of all, the pictures on the website are not pictures of the actual cars as iv been looking at a vw golf. They said it had no damage and 0 leaks. Iv been talking to sales about this car for 3 days and they said there’s no problem. I get there and the whole side of the car is bent up and crashed ! On top of that there was a massive puddle of oil underneath the car. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this dealership.

I have tried 3 times to get in contact via their website with a yes or no question and it has been a week now and no answer. You would think sales people would jump on a lead that is asking for info on one of your most expensive cars? or at least keep good customer relations? Just my preference but I would not do business there myself due to this.
Ric Coven was wonderful. We had a wait for the car, but it is lovely. Ric spent several hours trying to get the Lexus Enform working on our iPhone and we finally had to do it at home with a tech from Lexus. But he put in a great effort and was wonderful to work with in getting the car ordered. We were not, however, impressed with the finance guy. We had the papers changed due to a special offer and when he brought them to us, the monthly payment had not changed (he checked the wrong box). So he redid them only to still have them wrong. We finally got them correct, but thank goodness we were watching or we would have been paying more than we needed to. However, overall the experience was wonderful and Ric gave up his entire day to get us in the car and on the road. Thanks, Commander.

The Finance Department worked hard to get us the rate we needed and the Technical Department sat in the car with us and went over every button and option on the car with us before leaving the dealership. From the moment I walked into the showroom, the customer service was outstanding. I was immediately greeted and introduced to my salesmen, Joe Spulveda. Joe was well informed about the Lexus models and various packages. I appreciated his knowledge, honesty, patience, and overall approach to acquiring me as a customer. This service continued when I met Lexus Business Manager John Desmet. He avoided forceful sale tactics when explaining financing and warranty offerings. I left John’s office feeling he had my best interests in mind. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase, and enjoyed the customer experience.

I worked with Bill Parish when I purchased a car from Lexus of Merrillville. The process was very smooth and he was willing to assist me in any way. When it came time for me to pick up the car and drive it off the lot, he went above and beyond and put on some new back tires free of charge even though we had already established that there wasn't enough time to get them and put them on. He made it happen because he had value for our relationship. I would definitely consider going back to this dealership because they have great intentions to satisfy their customers in any way possible.
Dave Gardiner was unique in the way that he let the car sell itself. He was informative but not pushy and never made the mistake of trying to insult my intelligence. I mostly appreciated his time and patience as he explained all the features this beautiful new investment has to offer. His genuine offer for me to call any time I have questions, was even more of an asset to this dealership. As for the car: The deal was spot on, the ride is smooth, the interior is gorgeous, the features are tip-top and the car is a head turner! My Lexus ES350 is stunning! Cold called by a guy called Stacy. Asked if I was in the market for a new car still, I replied no he then hung up. Treatment expected from a Kia dealer. I will never buy a car from them. When I was looking for a new car they dropped the ball, blew me off so I went to gurley leep Mercedes and bought a much better amg SUV.
My experience was with the service department, the service manager's name is Todd Sobczak. He was very patient, explained everything, and took care of all my needs for my car, he made me feel very important and wanted as a customer.

Likes Lexus of Merrillville purchased my 1st Lexus here. I even purchased my 2and Lexus from their Orland Park store. I'm in the market for my 3rd Lexus in 8yrs what store is going to get the sale, its defiantly and toss up.both has friendly staff and caring service dept. We did not buy a car here; used car we were looking for sold just before we showed up. But sales people were nonetheless helpful and honest.
Everyone knows how stressful car shopping can be and it took me going to 5 dealerships before I arrived at Lexus of Merrillville. I met my sales person Marc Lovejoy over the phone first and from there I was blown away by the genuine customer service. Marc Lovejoy knew that I did not have a car at the time and even extended an offer to come and pick me up to bring me to the Lexus dealership. (This hands down was the best part of the experience). Mr. Lovejoy kept his word and arrived on time! Once we arrived at the dealership to my surprise every possible vehicle option we discussed was pulled up and ready for a test drive. I found a Car and was on my way all smiles! Overall I am in love with my car I am happy to have met Mr. Lovejoy and Roxanne who also made every bit of the financing part less stressful with her genuine passion to see me walk away with the car I wanted. The experience here was truly amazing. From the initial phone call to set up the appointment, to the arrival and greetings, the special attention to my hubby and son, the free water/coffee/soft drinks/snacks in the waiting area, and the selling/buying interaction! Dave Whelan was awesome, honest and had great follow through. Roxann (Finance) was also great and very personable. We felt like family on our very first visit and were not in the dealership all day long. Right price, right place, excellent service!

Dave also took the time to explain the features of my new car and how to use them. Gregory Spata the finance manager was very friendly and made that part of the process less stressful. Bought a clearance priced brand new 2015 CT200h at the end of December 2015. Our sales rep, Dave Gardiner, was exceptional in that he took his time to answer many questions at our first visit and his appropriate followup continued as we had additional questions in the days that followed. Price was agreed upon and the delivery was extremely smooth and thorough. The entire staff was professional and respectful and what was expected at a Lexus dealer. We should know as we have been Lexus customers for over a dozen years. Sadly, most non-Lexus dealerships do not treat their customers and or clients with such respect.
I would not recommend buying a used car from this dealership. We had to spend over $1,500 in repairs within the first 2 weeks of owning the car we purchased. At least one of the repairs was a significant safety issue. We also realized after the fact that they listed the car incorrectly and we paid the price for a top model but actual bought the base model. We certainly learned a lesson and know to double check every item that is listed as a feature and when you question the salesman they'll say anything to make a deal.
I had such a wonderful experience at Lexus of Merrillville, especially with my salesman Bill Parish!! He was very knowledgeable and I never felt like he was the stereotypical pushy salesman and was truly there to just help me and answer my questions. He was always available when I needed to call him and made me feel so comfortable with the car buying process. I would highly recommend this dealership and asking for him when you go in!

Had a recall on my car. So they gave me a loaner vehicle that was poor condition. Rhe car was unclean and looked old. It took them 5days to fix my vehicle. The rental car tire blew out on the expressway. They told me I was responsible for purchasing the same tire and if I didn't get the exact same tire they would charge me $450 for that one tire. Very rude and unprofessional.

Great experience! I needed to buy a car right away AND I wasn't looking to spend much money at all. They stayed within my stated budget, found me a nice car with low mileage, and provided great customer service. The salesperson Mike was nice and knowledgeable.
I just leased a RX tonight and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. Dave G. was great to work with. I had visited the dealership multiple times. The first trip was to look at the differences between the NX and RX. Next, I took both out for a test drive. Finally sat down to talk about financing and then the next day finally committed to a lease. I was amazed at the level of service that I was treated to. I was further amazed at the extra services that a Lexus owner is treated to. I would encourage anyone looking for a luxury vehicle to stop by Lexus of Merrillville. You might think that a Lexus is out of your reach, but if you look there are some amazing deals. I did not think a Lexus would be within my budget, but here I am a new owner of a RX. Further I would encourage anyone to sit down and discuss all the extra services that this dealership provides to their customers. I was amazed at how they treat their customers. Every time I went to the dealership I was treated warmly by everyone there. Dave took his time working with me and when I finally purchased it, he took the time to explain the features to me. The financing side of things went very smoothly and she was friendly and a pleasure to work with. They worked with me to get a vehicle I thoroughly love and within my budget. The vehicle is a absolutely amazing. Just looking at the various vehicles around the showroom you can see the quality. As you start to look closer you can see how well these vehicles are built. You can also start to appreciate the thoughtful engineering that went it their designs. This has been one of the best car buying experiences I have had. I have owned several new vehicles and have purchased different brands. I look forward to enjoying this vehicle for the years to come.
This is the fourth new Lexus I have bought from Lexus of Merrillville. I feel the service is wonderful, the people polite and helpful. I dealt with Bill Parish as my sales consultant. He always makes sure every detail is taken care of. Bill is a very experienced salesman and knowledge about the cars. He even gave me his cell phone number to call with ANY problems. The Sales Manger I dealt with was Willie Haddad. Willie was very professional and made me very comfortable through the entire transaction. Mr. Haddad tried to make sure every reasonable request was taken care of. John Desmet was my Finance Manager. John was very furrow and explained all my options to me. After reviewing everything I would highly recommend the Lexus Platinum warrantee. It will give you peace of mind with bumper to bumper protections. With these cars having so many electronic parts one repair would more than pay for the protection. I also bought the wheel, tire ding and windshield chip policy. It is a Lexus product honored at all dealers. In all my entire experience was great!

Just went in to get information on possible purchase/lease. Everyone was helpful as we discussed purchase vs. lease. As far a service at this dealership, I don't know. Let me point out that I have had experience with other Lexus dealerships service departments and have never had a problem. Which is why I went to this dealership.

My dad and I were stranded in Indiana with a spare tire we had to put in because of our tire being busted. We had to drive to Cincinnati so we couldn't really wait on an appointment to get our tire fixed. We went to Lexus in Merrillville prepared to wait 2-3 hours-- they took us in even though it was super busy because of the storm. We were out within 45 minutes with a new tire and Edgar, the worker who took care of us, actually apologized to us for not WASHING our car (something we were obviously not at all worried about). We got home safe and sound that night, thanks to the wonderful service at this place.
