I needed a car quickly due to issues with my last vehicle. The sales associates were great at communicating with me and working with my schedule. Not only were they able to find a car within my price range and in excellent condition, they were also able to find it within the short time frame that I had. I had to drive from Indianapolis in order to get the car, but the car is exactly what I was looking for and is perfect for me. Will definitely be stopping here the next time I'm looking to buy.
I went in with a transmission problem and they cleaned my injectors. My car was under warranty, but i had to sue the dealership to get the warranty to cover the transmission.

Typical car dealer, Scott Rose does not follow through. Do not deal with him. Update: They eventually followed through, after MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS, but did not do the job correctly. Stripped a lug nut and caused more issues. Inept dealership, do not do business with them.

After searching for a 2015 Cadillac Escalade with specific equipment on it, we contacted numerous websites in this effort. We talked personally with 4 of these sites (and electronically with nearly all of them). During these discussions each dealership indicated they would reduce the internet price of their vehicle during the give-and-take talks to forster a final deal. I informed the John Jones salesman (Mike Atchison) of our intent to possibly trade our vehicle or to buy outright your vehicle. On arrival (after driving 3 hours from Tennessee) we stated to "Mike" that the tires on your vehicle were quite worn. He immediately stated, "They passed inspection." This immediately let us know your dealership would leave "less than adequate" tires on a vehicle priced the way it was. I also considered this a bargaining tool you may have kept in your tool chest to make the deal. WAS I WRONG! Not only did you refuse to replace the tires but on inspection of the bill of sale when we returned to Tennessee, we observed that you increased the "List Price" from the $47,798.00 posted on the internet (a price I considered negotiable) to a whopping $50,000.00. Then you show that your "Discount" was $3,000.00, which in fact was only $798.00 off the only price we knew. They also offered us the very low end of the trade-in value for our trade in vehicle, so we choose to keep it. You can see that it wasn't a good experience for us at any juncture of the experience. We consider this a bait and switch process whereby you advertised at lower price-point to entice us to come to your dealership (we'd never heard of an "internet price" prior to coming to your dealership), then you increased the price after we arrived, and made it "appear" that you gave us a "Discount." Nothing could be further from the truth. I consider this an inappropriate business practice at which I hope sincerely never to repeat. The most reasonable thing to do, since no one EVER told us we were dealing with a price of $50,000.00, is to split the price of a new set of Bridgestone Dueller tires. If this were to occur, we would consider this a great learning experience and very likely keep in touch with your salesman about purchasing the 2018 Escalade bought by the lady who traded in the vehicle we purchased. Make sure you have coupons printed. I was told that you still needed a printed coupon even when price was listed on their voice recording while waiting on hold. Just print coupons off from their site. Makes it a smoother process.
I went to John Jones in Salem after I had totaled my car from a deer. Brandon set me up in a 2008 chevy trailblazer. Brandon knew I was on a budget and needed a vehicle fast, they gave me a great deal on a great vehicle that has been well maintained. Seriously the easiest experience I've ever had buying a vehicle. But Brandon does more than sell vehicles, anything that you needed after buying your vehicle, he was there to help with any questions or problems I had. Big shout out to Brandon. Also thank you Becky who runs the service center, what an awesome shop and team you have. One more thing a big shout out to Troy the sales manager, he handles everything behind the scenes but he does a lot. If you guys want a good deal on a quality vehicle stop in and see them. They go alot farther than just selling you a vehicle.

John Jones handled a recall ignition rotation on chevy impala..no charge. Great went in done in a hour. After that my car wouldn't start hardly and would quit running. I called them back letting them know of the problem they said it's not their fault all they did was make new keys...lol...thats NOT what the call was for...ok they gave me a diagnostic problem was ignition lock cylinder Which they sais was $110 get their to,pay its now $119.25...ok to get it fixed it would be $600 plus tax. I asked them how much is the part $287...funny in reality that part is $127 at autozone...Took to,different garage and guess what more was wrong with my car I also needed a new ignition switch as well. Lol. Ok so John Jones would've been charging me alot more than $600 probably closer to $900... They pulled my sister in laws transmission 3 times and screwed her over on her car rental...it got fixed only after a call to GM itself was made. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NEVER EVER GO TO JOHN JONES IN SALEM...VERY OBVIOUSLY ABOUT PRICE GOUGING CUSTOMERS. Charging almost triple the cost on car parts than charge like $100 in labor when half the guys working on your car are out back smoking and on their cell phones. I called GM head quarters they said and I quote..We aren't happy about the over pricing of parts or rate or labor...thats a bit much. RESPONSE TO OWNER REPLY: Had nothing to do with the mileage. You guys a have very long history and reputation for screwing people...how is it i went to several different garages around salem and Louisville and they all had the same price range to fix it? But you all were gonna charge alot alot more . My mileage has nothing to do with the ignition switch at all. I just drove that car to Florida and back and did fine. It's ok though everyone is town knows your full of it and you've been reported to BBB. Ps.... Make your employees are NOT drinking beer on their break in the back...cause the tow truck driver and I both saw it....

My husband and I decided that I need a new vehicle. John Jones was at the top of the list of places we wanted to look at. From the moment we arrived, we didn't feel pressured into anything which was a big fear I have when going to dealerships. Our salesman soon greeted us after we entered the building. His name is Mike Atchison. He walked us through the whole process, explained everything in great detail, and introduced us to what was to become my new 2015 Chevy Cruze! My husband and I really enjoyed our experience there, so we have decided that John Jones will be the only place we go when we want to buy a vehicle.

I take my Traverse to John Jones for all my service needs! I just had to take my car up for an oil change and they got me right in! All employees that I encountered had a smile on their face and made sure I was comfortable while waiting. I had recently referred a friend to the sales department and they purchased a used car for their daughter and I got $75 on a card to use at their service or parts department! I ended up getting my oil change and a Chevy hat for my brother for Christmas for free with some to spare for next time! I wouldn’t take any of my vehicles anywhere else!
We have purchased several vehicles over the years, starting about 1985. The last several years, we have dealt with Rick Roll. Rick has always worked tirelessly to find us the vehicle we are looking for, get us the most money for our trade and get us the best deal. I was wondering when the Internet started to negotiate prices? The sales manager kept saying well the Internet calculates the best price for us. So we are taking the Human equation out the sales department. I have never been as disappointed as I have when I went to Salem John Jones. It's no doubt I wanted a good deal. My goodness don't go to John Jones they won't negotiate because the Internet determines the selling price. The crazy part we were only 800 dollars difference from what I was willing to pay. The sales manager initials T.S wasn't willing to do it. Once again he said the Internet just wouldn't allow for it because it was too low. He told me at the very beginning because of the Internet doing the comparable pricing for them the days of negotiations are over. So we took our business to Eddie Gilstraps where the still do things the old fashioned way and negotiated a great deal and felt great about it.
We had a wonderful experience at John Jones. We got so lucky that Saturday when we walked into the showroom without an appointment and Mr Ricky True blood was available to talk to us. My husband had done his homework. For over a year my husband spent alot of time on the website building his dream truck over and over until he had the thing memorized. Mr True blood was not what I expected a car salesman to be. He was soft spoken, not pushy. My husband had met Mr pushy at a dealership in louisville earlier that day.Talking with Ricky was like talking with an old friend. He built the truck my husband wanted gave us a price we took the paperwork and went home to think it over. The next day Mr pushy from louisville called to follow up and my husband told him the offer John jones had made us. Mr pushy offered a better deal. my husband and I wanted to buy the truck from Ricky so he called Ricky to let him know what was on the table. Ricky pulled a miracle out of his hat and got us a better deal than Mr pushy. Thank you John Jones for making my husband's dream truck end up in our driveway and for having a honest not pushy easy to talk to salesman on your lot. I will recommend him to anyone who is in need of a vehicle.

Won't go back, (for anything). Dropped my vehicle off on Friday after getting price quote for the parts and labor. Pars cost wasn't that much but I knew the labor would be a little pricey because the job was rated as a full day job. Finally called them the following Thurs only to find out that the parts had to be ordered and weren't rec'd until Wed, the day before; and that they had just got it on the rack. I called for a follow-up on Friday and still not done but they would be working on it Through Sat. Called Monday (9 days later), still not done. Called Tue mid-day and was told that it still wasn't done and would get a call back in 10-15 minutes. Finally got a call 4 hrs later to let me know that it still wasn't done. NOTICE that they never called me once to give me an update of any kind. Wed morning, 11 days later my son happened to drive by and saw it sitting outside. No one called me to let me know that it was finished. When i arrived i was told that they jump back and forth between jobs and i expressed that this is a piss pore way to do things. Get on a job and finish it. I was charged what was quoted, but, the customer courtesy and contact was the most horrendous that i have ever experienced from anyone. And yes, I made it clear that I will never be back in those doors, I'll take my business to Mounts from now on. EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the service, if I could give a half star I would.

The guys and gals here were a pleasure to do business with. I found the exact vehicle we had been searching for through a weeks-long web hunt. I called them on Friday afternoon and told them I would be up on Saturday morning first thing to drive the vehicle. They were upfront, no nonsense, and treated me with respect, which I don't always experience when I show up in at a dealership without a man in tow. This dealership truly cares for their customers! The Service Department is great and has a fantastic waiting room with multiple TVs and computers to use while you wait. Also, while waiting for my vehicle, several of their staff members checked on me. Some even offered refreshments or a ride into town for some food. I will always bring my vehicles here.

I'm a Ford owner but have bought parts from the Parts Department for my Husband's Chevys for a couple of years now. They are always so helpful in finding me what I need. So I recently decided to have my Ford serviced for the first time at John Jones. The Service Advisors, Office Staff, and Service Manager were all super friendly, helpful, and accommodating to my schedule. And the Techs went above and beyond looking my vehicle over since it had never been there before. I will definitely be taking all of our vehicles there from now on for service. And it's by far the cleanest and most well kept facility I've been in.
I recently hit a deer in my car and I contact my insurance company which was State Farm and they told me I could use anyone that I wanted to too have my car fixed John Jones was on there list of dealers that they use or recommend. So I went with John Jones. State Farm had picked up my car and did there own estimate and when they delivered it to John Jones over a month ago Johnny told me he would get started on it right away. He said he would get the parts delivered and then he'd have it done. I would call every week to just check up on it because I was in a rental car. He told me that I should take the rental back and just use there car. So I did and when I picked up there car I was told I could only use so many miles a day which would not have been a problem if I didn't drive to New Albany everyday. But I tried to stay within the limit and tried to make it work. I then waited patiently to have my car fixed and would call once or twice a week just to check and see how things where going since they had my car over a month and it was still not fixed. They would give me a date that it would be done and then it would be changed and they would not even call to give me updates. If it wasn't for me calling them I would have been left in the dark on why it took a month an a half for my car to be fixed. Then the guy called me and said my air bag lights where on and wanted to dispute with me about the light because he did not believe it was not on before I hit the deer. After having it sent to Corydon to have it tested by a Chrysler dealership he found out the light was not on so it had to be repaired. Then when I was finally told I could pick up my car I asked why my car engine light was on, I was told it had probably had always been on since it's an older car. I told him I had never noticed it before and he said that the motor was not damaged nor was the radiator or the AC unit in the collision. So when I asked why it was leaking fluid from my car after I had hit the deer he said it could have been the drainage from the AC unit. o I asked him for a report on the car that shows what all was done to my car and guess what was on there that had been replaced? They charged my insurance for a radiator and service to the AC unit even though he just told me that there was no damage done there. My car was not detailed not even a vacuum. Even though they had the front of my car that was hit by the deer laying inside my car from when it was hauled into there shop by wrecker. When I asked why my car was not cleaned out he said what do you want me to do about it? I said well a little bit of clean up would be nice? He just kind of laughed at me. I contacted my insurance company and they are trying to get this figured out for me. Where is the customer satisfaction?
Nice vehicles, okay prices but the staff leaves much to be desired. They don't know any details of what they are selling, not personable & don't do the little things one would expect when shelling out 30k on a car.

If the dealership does not have a vehicle on the local lot he will have cars pulled from other locations to assist us with our selections. In addition, if there are not any cars available at a particular time he will continue his search for us keeping us informed of up coming vehicles that we might be interested in for purchase. I also referred my sister to your dealership to assist her in buying a good used car. She lives in Kentucky, I told her that I thought she should visit your dealership and speak to Mike. As a result she bought a good quality used car. Mike is definitely an asset to this dealership with his great customer service.

Needed 2 parts fixed on my truck. Knowing what parts needed fixed went to the dealership to have them fixed. Only to have the lady at the counter tell me that they would have to do a dynastic test per part to tell what is wrong with the truck which is $59.99 per dynastic. Even after telling her what parts was not working correctly. So why would I pay $120.00 + tax just to be told what parts needed fixed then change me to replace the parts?!? Aggravated I left without being served. This visit got no stars.

Arrived at the dealership a little early for my appointment and was checked in immediately. They explained what they were going to do and invited us to the lounge area to have some coffee. What can I say about the cleanliness of this facility? Immaculate comes to mind. From the restrooms to the showroom to the offices. There was a lady cleaning the common areas while we were there and she was methodical the way she went about her business. Kudos to her. As you sit in the lounge area you hear folks talking and the lady answering the phone was professional yet personable and seemed very helpful to those who called. Service was performed in a timely manner. It was explained what work was performed and what was due in the future. Thanked us and told to be safe traveling as there were storms in the area. These folks make your dealership what they all should be.

I bought a Cadillac SRX from John Jones. My experience is unique in that I completed 98% of the buying process from Kansas City KS. I was very nervous, it required a lot of trust to decide to make the trip to buy a car that I had not even laid eyes on. I travel to IN to complete the buying process and not only did they arrange for picking me up, I was treated so kindly by the entire staff and the car was EXACTLY as I was told and as I expected. This was the best car buying experience I have ever had! They made this process very easy for me and took care of everything! Highly recommend!

The is the worst dealer I have ever worked with. They are completely unresponsive after several of my calls, emails and texts. I was ready to buy a $50,000 Cadillac and they’ve lost my business. I don’t think this dealer will survive. General Motors should cut them loose.

WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had at any car dealership. First impression was nice, clean, professional looking environment, but that was drastically changed within less than 5 minutes. As we approached the car lot there were 3 employees standing in front of the building arguing then as we walked by them voices were raised and the F word was used 2 times. We proceeded to browse the vehicles for approximately 10-15 minutes thinking the employees we just walked by, that someone would come out to help us. No one came to help so we walked up to the front by our car to decide what to do next when a salesman finally asked how we were doing, I said not very good, briefly explained what had just happened, and he apologized said he was helping another customer so I asked to see a manager. When Tyson Christon came out he said he was sorry im the one who said it. That's when i said you are a manager that is very unprofessional and I will never step foot on this lot again and there is nothing else you can say. This experience made me feel very disrespected and like I didn't matter.

I bought a new 2018 Silverado from Rick Roll and he did a fantastic job. However, the service department is another story. I called to get a wheel replaced on my wife’s 2017 Cadillac ATS and never got a response back. Then, I took my truck in for it’s first service and asked for them to fix a rattle in the back seat and the rattle is still there, no explanation and no mention from them when I picked it up. Buy from Rick, but you may want to look elsewhere for your service.

Beware, Security lock was on, my son broke down south of Indy 140$ To tell me I need to to do an 800 plus repair, I picked up the car loaded it and hauled it 1.5 hrs home. changed a 4$ fuse and car unlocked and started. 2nd class work, dishonest, no wonder the place was empty. Terrible

I bought my new car here. Check engine light came on before 35k miles. They told me they cleaned O2 sensor but then put in their computer that no check engine light was on. This one star is for the service department, I would give it a 0 if that was an option. ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR PRINTOUT BECAUSE IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS DOWN THE ROAD AND THEY PUT SOMETHING IN THEIR COMPUTER BUT TELL YOU SOMETHING DIFFERENT THEN WARRANTY WONT COVER THAT PROBLEM AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRES.
Was there to have a broken headlight repaired. Did a very good job.

The experience we had when purchasing our new car was great from start to finish. Jaelin Hoar was our salesman. He went over all of the features in the car very thoroughly. He was knowledgeable and answered every question we had. Brandon Mauck hand washed the car while we were taking care of the business inside. That was a surprise to us and we appreciated it. Cody Manus took care of our financing. He even changed all of the paper work when we decided we were more comfortable with a different bank. This all happened on Saturday evening. Long time customer and former employee. John Jones sometimes gets a bad wrap but he runs a business. If your a paying customer then they will take care of you to no end. If you want something for nothing I would try and get a handout elsewhere
Beyond disappointed with this dealership. I spoke to them twice on the phone to confirm details on a vehicle before driving 2+ hours to buy a new truck from them. Turns out the rebates and incentives I qualified for when I spoke to them on the phone, I didn’t qualify for when I got to the dealership! (Or maybe I did qualify, but Dennis wanted to make an extra buck!) So the price went up another 3 grand... Needless to say I will not be buying a vehicle here. Typical bait and switch tactic.

John Jones Salem was perfect. We shopped around and found the best deal here. Brandon McIntosh was smart and efficient. Super polite, friendly and courteous. We have found a gem in Salem! My only complaint is that we didn’t find this place sooner. A couple of weeks before we went to John Jones, we went to one of the places in Plainfield. In comparison to John Jones and the service we got from Brandon and team, it was pitiful. The place in Plainfield was impatient, unfocused, and worst of all, left me sitting and waiting for long periods of time. The whole ordeal took all day. I’ll never drive up there again, for that malarkey. I’m so Happy with John Jones, I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Thanks for everything Brandon!

The staff was very helpful, they called and left a message my service work was complete.... since my husband does not have voice mail who actually knows whom they called.....4 days later I called to check on the car....had been complete since Friday. A little frustrating. They were unconcerned with the mix up.

I would recommend him to any prospective buyer. He treated me with respect even though I was a woman. Most wont take that kind of time. This is the second time he has sold us a vehicle.
