I had just moved to town and was looking to buy a new car - quickly decided on a Honda and scoped out all the local Honda dealerships. I found the service at Ed Martin to be top notch. I was looking for a specific colour on my car that none of the local dealerships had in stock, and while other dealerships sort of shrugged their shoulders and tried to encourage me to buy something they had in stock, Travis & Zach from Ed Martin found my car in the colour I wanted from out of state and got it to me quickly. On top of that, there was no funny business with the price - everything was as discussed - and they were never pushy about it (and with a great price on the car as well). The purchase/financing and everything were as smooth as could be. I'm very happy with my experience there and would highly recommend them for anyone looking to buy a new car.

If you want a fast efficient, no frills Honda lease experience, check out Ed Martin Honda. I was a little skeptical of inquiring about a lease online as I expected the same runaround that one gets after dealing with others. However, from the onset, working with Jerry was a great experience. He told me right upfront what my payments would be and what they charged to do the paperwork. So I knew before I got there what was going to happen. The whole process took about 1.5 hours from turning in my other lease to driving away with my new one. Also, they have such a large inventory that getting exactly what you want is not a problem. Check them out and be sure to ask for Jerry.

I had been searching for a specific car for some time when I finally came across my dream car at Ed Martin Honda. It wasn’t maybe an hour after I submitted a price request for the car that I received an email from Chad Thomas with their pricing. I was interested in trading in my car, but I lived 6.5 hours away so I instead sent several pictures to see if I could get an estimated trade in value and Chad was quick to get those looked at and quote back to me within the same day. I had some questions about financing as well that he responded to very quickly and, even though I ended up getting a loan through my bank, Chad and Dawn were very responsive and helpful in getting the information that I needed to complete my loan process. Chad actually ended up being on vacation while finishing everything up, but still was very helpful in getting me to the right person to get the help I needed. I was beyond satisfied when I arrived and could not have asked for a better experience. I bought a 2018 vehicle and when I arrived the stickers were still on the car, there was only 10 miles on it, and it was running! It sounds a little crazy to buy a car you’ve never seen, but that is how comfortable I was when working with Ed Martin and it was even better when I was there. Chad first let me test drive the car and proceeded to give my husband and I a run down on all of the features and a tutorial on how everything worked. He then got me over to Jason to fill out the paperwork who was very polite and thorough. At no point did I never feel pressured nor were there any surprises. The price of the vehicle was exactly what Chad had told me initially. I also received exactly the amount they had valued my car through the pictures and, while I was signing paperwork, they had taken my plate off of my old car and had my new car running again. Dawn also made a point to say hello while signing paperwork, which I appreciated so that I could thank her! Overall, I could not have had a better experience and am so pleased that I worked with Ed Martin Honda.

They really try to help me get a new car
They were able to fit me into a very busy schedule on a Saturday. They were so prompt and efficient. Everyone there was warm and kind, and honest. I didn't feel like they were trying to hustle me into any services. They checked my car and gave me a heads up on things that I should pay close attention to, between now and my next service date. I was serviced by Rodney and he went above and beyond. Great staff, I highly recommend them. Update: I returned today to get a battery change, and the staff went above and beyond my expectations. The service is here superior to all other dealerships I have frequented. Redd was definitely a life saver today! Excellent service!

I’d been shopping for 6 weeks after my 2007 Honda Civic Si was totaled. I knew exactly what I wanted. A 2019 Honda Civic Si Sedan in platinum white pearl. I’d done a ton of research online in regards to buying & felt very confident. I called every Honda dealership within 300 miles & was willing to travel to get what I wanted. I even drove 154 miles round trip to a dealership who told me they had two Si Sedans on their lot, but when I got there, they told me they sold! Bait & switch. Unfortunately, me being a woman & shopping alone, most dealerships & salesmen treated me like I was “ignorant or naive.” Most refused to negotiate with me, nor take me seriously enough to even show me the model I wanted, let alone try to get one on their lot if they didn’t have one in stock. I was constantly being persuaded to buy an automatic or CVT & a lot of times I was pushed to buy used, even after telling them my credit score. It can be and is very insulting. Travis Capps, Senior Sales Rep at Ed Martin Honda in Indianapolis reached out via text because I’d pulled the trueCar value/invoicing, which required my telephone number. I gave it a shot & called him late morning on a Wednesday. He took me seriously from the start. By early Wednesday evening he called & said he could trade a car on their lot for the car I wanted sitting on another. I gave him my credit score, we negotiated over the phone & made a deal! He said he could have it within a couple days at most. He called back a little later & said he had the car & I could actually pick it up the next day! Thursday morning I drove my rental car up, signed the paperwork & was done! He even returned my rental for me. It almost sounds too good to be true, but everything worked out perfectly. I couldn’t be happier with the car or the ease of working with Travis. I would definitely recommend him to anyone & Ed Martin Honda. Thank you so much for helping to make my dream car a reality. I had a awesome experience with the service department. Mr Red Howard to be exact. From start to finish he took his time with me so I could understand what my options where answered my questions he also was really far from my house and said they would love to do the repair but check into some dealers closer. Well that led me back to Mr Red Howard the other Honda dealership was rude and didn't want to answer questions and pretty much act like I was bothering them and I told them I had better customer service at Honda on shadeland and they would have my business!! Great experience with Ed Martin Honda. Jesse was my salesman. He kept both of my kids well-entertained and made the whole buying process enjoyable. The multiple test rides were a nice combo of interstate and small roads, so I got a great feel for the CRV. Jesse spent time showing me all of the features and asking me questions about what I was looking for. The price haggling was quite fun, and I walked away knowing I got a great deal. Financing was a breeze. Dawn worked hard to beat a rate I had prequalified for elsewhere. After visiting several dealerships in the Indianapolis area, Ed Martin outshone all others. I've no regrets, and love my CRV.

This place is tends to only care about looks with every bit of discrimination. When we got there no one asked us anything nor wanted to help us but instead continue to chat with each other in front of the dealership’s entrance. Then turn around a red bearded guy name Todd asking us if we needed anything...but he didn’t care one bit because apparently he didn’t want anything to do us. Made us wait for a while because he had to discuss with his coworkers then it got really uncomfortable afterwards as he was just saying nonsense because he wanted us to leave so that he could go off clock early .. Which is sad because the mouth can talk as much as it’s wants but the body language speaks more. Which in this case his action made the decision clear for us. What outstanding silver rated service..they have..

Went to the dealership this past Saturday for a used vehicle, when me and my wifefirst got there no one approached us even though we were serious buyers and had called in earlier and notified them that we were coming. We walk in and the sales people look at me and my wife and still no one acknowledges us, we finally talk to Travis and he tries to get over on us. Just overall terrible experience. After that me and my wife decided to go to Pearson ford and purchased a brand new car for much less than what that con-artist tried to scam us for so thank you!

Service does a very good job. I had two different Hondas with airbag recall and they made it easy. While the cars were in there they did a no charge full inspection and recommended other minor repairs. Sway bar links were replaced for instance and no more front rattle! I even asked for a small discount which they were able to do. My other Pilot somehow had a missing caliper bolt (brake shop blew it!) which they replaced just for the bolt cost. Coffee, drinks and snacks in the waiting area are a nice touch. Friendly relatively efficient service for a busy shop. Thanks!

This was my first time buying a car, and I was a little intimidated by going to a dealership and talking to a salesperson. I knew exactly what I wanted--a blue 2014 Civic EX--so I made an offer online instead. I ended up exchanging emails with Mike O'Friel, who was pleasant to work with and gave me a great deal. The car I wanted was being built at the time, and Mike was very prompt about updating me on the status of my Civic. He made the car buying process very straightforward and simple, and he didn't try to talk me into anything extra I didn't want. Overall, I am very happy with my experience at Ed Martin and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to buy a Honda.
Very informative, as well as helpful. I did not schedule an appointment so I had a bit of a wait time, but I felt like I was in and out! Although I would suggest a better car wash. I had to re-run my care though mikes due to dry blotches all over the car. Other than that excellent service in a timely manner!

Today I purchased a certified Honda Civic. Of course, the quality of the car I purchased was paramount. I was leery of dealing with them based on on-line reviews, but thankfully, I decided to give them a shot. For me, Karl (with a K) was a KEY factor. He is everything I didn't expect - NO BS, to the point. I truly detest the "car salesman" pitch and since I didn't NEED a newer car, so I had the luxury of walking out at any time. Karl is laid back, no pressure and just plain awesome! He answered every question He treated me with respect and despite my nerves, made me laugh and helped me through the process. For me, as for many, this was a major decision, and Karl really helped me through it. I got a good deal and am thrilled with my "new" car!

We moved from Indiana to Florida 7 years ago. We couldn’t find a Honda dealership in our area that we trusted. Ron Hammer made sure we were taken care of by Ed Martin from 1000 miles away. Ed Martin Honda is the best honda dealer in town. I live northside of Indy and driving half hour at least due to road repairs and construction is somehow a hassle on my part, but it’s worth it. I spent about almost 3 months car shopping in the Indianapolis area, visiting half a dozen dealerships (some several times). Without a doubt I had the best experience at Ed Martin and Stephen was the most knowledgeable and helpful salesman I came into contact with. He answered all of my questions, provided a lot of good information that I didn't even know to ask about, helped me with new grad financing, and was overall so easy to work with. He even took the time to help me get both my new car and my old car back to my apartment after I made my purchase. This was my first car purchase, and I could not have asked for a better experience. The amount of attitude the part guy (Kevin) has is just off the chart. This guy behaves like he’s doing customers a favor by talking to them. No greeting whatsoever, I was stared down instead. I get all my Honda parts from Indy Honda and never thought my experience visiting another dealership could be like this.

Dont waste your money on service repairs here. They dont specifically tell you what you sign for services that your going to have extra services done and charged for at the end, which isnt cheap. Went in for something simple and got overcharged on stuff that should have been explained better.

The employee whom answered the phone was very discriminating and assumed my credit score was low by saying you have to have a credit score above 660 to lease/ purchase a car as if I may have not been aware and ESPECIALLY that was not the reason I call for!

Such high-level of customer service from their Service Team. Gentleman called me past hours to answer a question I had about my car's service, was the last person to call for the day... he went far and beyond in ensuring I get the right info, very clear, honest and genuinely wanted to get it right. What a huge difference compared to Terry Lee Honda on the other side of town.
They tried to sell me a Honda Fit with a worn clutch and were pushy about it. "I have a family to feed, you know." Really???
I asked for OTD price and purchased the vehicle. 2 weeks later, find out the OTD price does not include license/registration fee. Not only I need to spend time to go to BMV, but also I have to pay extra $450 registration fee. I called back for an explanation, and the sales person says all IN dealer's OTD does not include registration fee. Terrible!

I am going to start this review by stating that I am not a fan of car dealers typically. I rank them about a step up from lawyers. :) I'm not a fan of the negotiation process. Michael Johnson is a very genuine and kind sales person, and we felt comfortable right away doing business with him. We had a couple of small hiccups in our communication, but at the end of it all, Michael pulled through for us, and helped us get a great deal on a used vehicle for my son. He went above and beyond, by helping us pull a carfax report on another vehicle we were considering, which brought to light some safety concerns and helped with the buying decision. It wasn't done in a weaselly way, but just out of being helpful and of course the desire to make the sale. It instilled trust and I would recommend him if you are in the market for a new or used car from this dealership. Kudos Michael for turning a skeptic into a happy customer!

Adriane Williams was great to work with. He didn't try to push us into a vehicle. He even went to Anderson to pick up a car we wanted to test drive. Their warranties are a scam 100%. I️ am grateful I️ got a Honda. Wouldn’t buy here again. Thanks for the checkup call to remind me to tell people to at least not get any warranties from here. I got 2 completely useless warranties that I️ couldn’t use and was told it would be $100+ for them to look at my car after spending $1000+ on warranties.
This used to be a great dealership, and I'm sure most of the staff still is. However, I can't recommend this dealership anymore based solely on one man- Ron Hammer. If you want to be ignored while this guy sits smugly in front of his sales awards, playing on his phone and having to be asked 3 times where the bathrooms are, just to get a "What was that?", then this is the guy for you. Rude, smarmy, and completely oblivious to his customers' needs, schedules, or even routine questions, he'll pull you in and leave you waiting while he wanders around the showroom, chatting with staff and checking his Facebook or texting. I had dropped in around 6:25pm to fill out some paperwork, and had plans at 7:00. It's now 7:10, they close at 8:00, and I'm still no closer to filling out those damn papers than when I walked in. Salty. Update: finally got paperwork signed and walked out just in time for them to close.
Excellent service, found out I need a battery visit Auto Zone I only want to purchase the brand which come with the vehicle Auto Zone do not carry. Call the dealership that morning same price as Auto Zone were inform I had to be there by 12:00pm & it were11:15 when I call. Made it 11:45, were taken right in. I really appreciate those guys they do excellent service & very friendly.
These guys were able to get me in and out quick. I wasn't pestered by salesmen as I waited but O was able to browse their show room as I waited.
In comparison to my Honda Dealer at Frederick MD, or one that I went to in Muefreesboro TN, I can not give him a 5-star. I felt like I was only "Number-in-Line", although I received the service that I needed at the time, there was not the friendliness nor the real feeling of "caring" for my needs.

Enjoyed meeting and talking with Jesse...he appears to be another great individual at this dealership. Finance was a breeze, easy to communicate with. I just had a great experience with the service advisor, Steve Pedigo. Although, they were booked up into August for service he took care of the door lock that some vandal tried to break into in just one day! I was so amazed because I figured needing to get my car fixed would add to my already high anxiety in dealing with such an unnerving situation. He was great about communicating to me about what was going on and my options! Thank you so much Steve!
I bought a used Honda Odyssey from them. It had some misfiring issues when I bought it. And they have done nothing but bend over backwards to help fix this problem. I have brought the car back 3 times for the same issue and they haven't questioned anything. And fixed it every time. I would recommend this place to anyone. Amazing sales people and even more amazing service people.
This is probably the best dealership that I have been to. Their customer service is great and as a customer, you realize that they really do value your business. Their financing department is also great and they do a great job of getting you the best rates possible. I would definitely come back to this place again to get a car.

We had very bad experience today with this dealership. My brother called dealer ship for pre owned car and the person said, they will contact us once they confirm availability. Some one called with confirmation that car is available and another person sent text message that it's sold. So we called them again to confirm the exact scenario and someone again mentioned that car is still available and ready to drive. We went there in less then 1 hour and person attending us said, it's not available as they mentioned earlier. This dealership really need to be more carful with such type of misguidance because with only one experience people make up their mind to never visit again. Even after all this happened, their staff was not guilty or tried apologies.

I bought my new Accord here a couple of years ago and had a great experience and decided to give their service department a shot too. So, I drive all the way from Westfield to get both of our cars serviced here and have really gotten to like them especially the service advisor, Redd... He's great and does an outstanding job. However, the last 2 times with my Accord have been horrible and I may not ever go back. Got my oil changed on my Accord a few months ago, noticed a leak on my garage floor the next day. Took it back, I was told the tech had not done a good job cleaning the bottom of my car after changing the oil and some old oil remained down there on the protective shield which is why it was leaking. Then yesterday, checked my oil and noticed it was overfilled by about a quart!! Took it back today, they took some oil out to correct the oil level; however, now it's measuring on the low side on my dipstick. But the more annoying part is that there is oil all over the bottom of the car/engine as well as under the hood... I had to wipe the oil spots off of my engine compartment.... A simple oil change turned into a very sloppy job which I had to go back 2 times and it's still not to my satisfaction which is a shame because they worked on my van a couple of weeks ago and did a great job there... How hard is it to get the oil level right and clean after the job? I think I'm going to give the dealership closer to my house another shot.....
This was my first car purchase . Ron Hammer helped me with his great customer service. He took time to explain all the details and after the sale .. sat in the car and went over all the gadgets and how to set the Bluetooth for me. All the salesman were gocking at a young lady. I saw 5 salesman and no one would give me the time of day. I took my business elsewhere. You could tell they were the uptight judging type.
Lacking was there to get a repair on my new Nissan car. Insurance repairs they did write a estimate but they only do the repairs if I paid them directly and I would get reimbursed from insurance on my own in my opinion dont do business with them

Ed Martin Honda in Indianapolis discriminates against people with disabilities; they refuse to allow licensed drivers with obvious disabilities test drive their cars and when demanded, allowed them only a short test drive. They also questioned the disabled customer’s ability to pay for the car, indicated that their disability made them an increased credit risk, and charged the customer a higher price for the car than they did the non-disabled. Honda Corporation indicated that there was little they could do because Ed Martin Honda was a franchise.
I have always had a successful visit. The employees there, too me, are polite, helpful and knowledgeable about the cars. The cashiers show the same characteristics. However, I do not know how much the casheris know about the cars.
I'm always so impressed by the professionalism of the Ed Martin Honda staff. They are always friendly, polite and accommodating. Whether I'm scheduling an appointment or talking with a service rep, they're always incredibly helpful and informative. Since buying my car, I haven't gone anywhere else for service and I definitely plan to keep coming back.

My family has leased 3 Honda's consecutively from Ed Martin Honda. We are looking to trade in 2 payments early (as we've done with every lease) and got the most careless, rude service from Jesse. Wouldn't discuss any numbers or inventory without coming in. Meanwhile I'm working with 4 local car dealers who have gotten down to all the details without stepping foot in. Your reputation is important and referrals are important, but the disrespect I received today will be the end of our relationship at Ed Martin Honda. Don't waste your time. Give your business to someone who will treat your continued business well.

I worked with Jason who was fantastic. He never came across as an over-aggressive sales person and was easy to communicate with via text/phone/email. He got me the best deal within 500 miles. He also delivered the car to my driveway and took back my trade which is 300 miles away from Indianapolis. The car and the service is great ... Do not go here! I came here to get an estimate for the damage done on my car and they would not give me one. The dealership spent the whole time telling me I was doing it wrong and that they could not give me one. An estimate only takes 5-10 minutes, but they were too lazy to give me one. Do not waste your time here! It’s not worth it! I went the Honda dealer down on 96th street and it was totally worth it! They completed the estimate for me in 4 minutes! That’s how it’s done! I would rather waste the 20 minute drive to the Honda dealership on 96th street for the service, then the 3 minute drive it takes me to get the Honda dealership on Shadeland!

This dealership is very customer oriented! Matt Paterson answered emails quickly making it possible for me to buy the car I really wanted. As an out of state resident they were very accommodating! It was a Saturday night and told them I couldn’t get there until 15 minutes before their closing time. Matt said they would stay opened till I got there. The deal was more than fair for me and done quickly with some very nice people that made me very comfortable. They did not hurry me or pressure me even though I am sure they were anxious to begin their weekend. It was the easiest and most fun buying experience of buying a car. Matt gave me a follow up call as well as a very nice mailed note. I would definitely recommend this dealership to all Indiana buyers as well as out of state buyers. All paperwork came to me quickly so I could register in my state. I love my car and will definitely recommend them to my friends and family. Please visit them for your new or used car needs. KUDOS and PLATITUDES to *****JEFF STAFFORD***** for EXCELLENT customer service and professionalism. Having bought my first used Honda Accord from Larry Norman (AWESOME person), since retired, I decided to revisit Ed Martin Honda for my next purchase. While looking for another Certified used Honda, I had the opportunity of meeting Jeff Stafford. Being in a dilemma as to whether to buy a Civic or Accord, Jeff explained the differences between all styles of Honda's and their specifications. Jeff has been patient beyond expectations with my indecisiveness and never pushed nor rushed me into making a decision. He treated me as a friend, not just another sales commission. He is always forthcoming with information when I stop by the store and shares any information he has regarding the Certified used cars which have come onto the lot which meet my expectations. After doing much research (over the previous two years) with other Honda dealers and visiting the Certified Used cars websites, I returned to Ed Martin due to the fact that I am treated as a friend, and not just another $ (Dollar Sign). I stopped by yesterday and we went for a test drive in the 2010 Accord and it is dream car. I did not feel any pressure to purchase and was very pleased with how everyone at the Dealership is so friendly and courteous. I made the purchase without any problems and HIGHLY recommend anyone interested in receiving an HONEST deal, FAIR and no HASSLING to visit Ed Martin Honda.
I had a family member that was very displeased with the order of business that was displayed during his attempted purchase. After the application was ran and APPROVED for the numbers he agreed to after he thoroughly negotiated, he brought to the table the deal was going to be a tax exempt business transaction. This was presented simply to file paperwork to subtract taxes, nothing more. The company that was presented before them is a quadruple A rated company and has over 30 leases between Mercedes... Allied... Ford and Cadillac and ALL leases are tax-exempt because these are company cars through a transportation company. All of a sudden, the finance gentleman changes his tune and tells him this company is NOT tax exempt even though there was plenty of paperwork showing they were and just because it is a corporation that does not necessarily qualify for tax exempt status. This gentleman was very condescending towards my family member basically implying he is a liar. THEN... they come back and start changing the story and the numbers start changing out of no where. He made a couple different suggestion as to how to draw up the paperwork to claim taxes then not claim taxes. It did not make sense. He clearly did not know the law that was passed in 2011. Before, the credit report was not an issue for the first finalization of numbers and then all of a sudden WAS an issue and caused the numbers to jump up $75. I am not sure why informing the deal was a business deal AFTER the numbers were finalized would make a difference, but it did. Unfortunately, he feels they raised the numbers to indirectly deny his business because they were unaware of how to close the sale for the tax exempt qualification. I'm disappointed with the competence and knowledge of the finance team at this dealership. We informed our CEO of our company of the experience we had and he was very disappointed the deal was not closed. This could have been a new relationship that would have generated several sales in the future.
