Yesterday I purchased a 2016 BMW 328D XDrive here. The car is amazing. But even more shocking to me is that the EXPERIENCE was amazing. Jamie was my salesperson. She was conversational and funny, and I was never subjected to the typical car-dealer sales tactics. Sven, the manager came by, and while waiting I talked to Glenn too. Everyone was amazing. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Kevin too! Now I know why the rating of this dealership is what it is. I'd gladly go back to them for my family's next car. Do let me mention the cars though. When looking at their CPO stock, I was blown away. If I told people my car was brand new they would never guess it wasn't. The thing is, that was the case for nearly everything I saw there. Their reconditioning is second to none. If you're in the market for a car, go check them out and talk to Jamie!

Customer service is not as good as it was before, appointment are important any more as the loaner cars are given to people who just come in with out an appointment. Service is not as upstanding as it was. Wish it was like before.

The sales staff didn't strike me as friendly or inviting. I guess they figured I couldn't afford a BMW. They didn't speak to me or acknowledge my presence and looked at me like I was an alien when I asked a question. I don't know if this happened because I don't look my age or because of my race. Extremely unprofessional! The service staff and customer service representatives, however, were very polite, accommodating and helpful. I had a pleasant experience with them.

If I could give a zero I most definitely would. I purchased a new 2016 BMW X3 back in August of 2016. My sales person at that time was Justin who happens to be a great sales person. Well my BMW X3 was stolen last year and was never recovered. In the meantime, I needed a vehicle to get around town. So of course, I decided to give Justin a call. He had a 2009 BMW X5 which was clean as a whistle, so I thought. I bought the car in October 2018 and by December 2018 I started to have problems with the vehicle. Well I decided to take it back to the dealership just so they could give it a once over. Boy was I surprised when they informed me that the vehicle needed over $3000.00 worth of work. Of course, I was not only livid but floored that they would sell a repeat customer a lemon. Well let’s just say any customer a lemon. Current: I talked to the owner and the Used Car Sales General Manager who said Ms. Mayes we will look at the vehicle and get back to you. They had Simone (Service Professional) to give me a call to inform me that they would only fix some of the issues (less expensive ones) but still charge me $500.00. Well they have lost a great customer who by the way was not only coming back to buy a X6 as well as my finance was coming in to by the I8 BMW. My suggestion is if you are looking for a dealership who has respect and values their customers and won’t nickel and dime them steer clear of this place. On a good note they lost out on $178,300 and an additional $76,000 over $500.00.

I had a horrible experience. My car was in for service. After payment I went to receive my vehicle. After a delay I was accused of doing minor damage to my loaner vehicle. I tried to explain I didn’t do it and failed to check the vehicle before for I checked the vehicle out. Basically I was called a liar an told I wouldn’t be able to receive another loaner vehicle in the future. I was humiliated and felt disrespected. Not to mention the amount of money I’ve paid over the years. Yesterday I spent $1600. Before this occurred I was speaking to a salesman regarding purchasing a vehicle in the near future. Now I wouldn’t do so.

Finance manager, Kathy provides an illusion that she is for you, but God forbid you have an issue with a warranty. Her true colors show. Rude, unprofessional and should be provided a class for how to have crucial conversations with customers that have a quality issue. I was very disappointed. My first BMW and my treatment was good, until I inquired about cancelling my warranties. Never late on my payments. Too think...(I had a new tire from a different BMW dealer a few months before they serviced my car and then the tire magically became balled) I questioned the need for a warranty, that I could be reduced to a complainer that was broke and didn’t want to purchase new tires. Purchased my new tires elsewhere. Never go here, unless you enjoy being treated like you lack common sense and the ability to financially maintain your vehicle. Purchased all the warranties, may I add. BMW Orland Park is where you should take your business. Trust me on this.

An appointment for an oil change ended being almost 5 hours!!! At any point, if the service writer would not have said it will just be another 30 minutes, I would happily have gotten picked up and gone home to the crowd of people swimming in my pool. In other words, communicate honestly! I’m so disappointed in your service shop.

Walked in to look at a used vehicle listed online. Chris the salesman was the only good part about the trip down here. I would say the experience was great but, I would be lying if I said it wasn't. We test drove the vehicle, noted the issues and repair work it would need. An offer was made and quickly shot down by the used car manager who was also named Chris. Well we didn't get the chance to make another offer, because Chris the used car manager called out from his office that "the car is wholesale price, take it or leave it. There are seven different exits". Chris the salesman looked uncomfortable and wouldn't maintain eye contact after we asked for clarification if what we heard was what we had just heard. But to treat someone on their first visit to your dealership in such an unprofessional manner is completely inexcusable. Especially coming from a "manager". If this is how you treat first time customers, then I'll happily take my business to another dealership that deserves it. I normally don't write reviews, however, in this case, the poor treatment and rude commentary were completely unnecessary and warranted this post. If Chris the used car "manager" can't handle being professional, then I suggest he should heed his own *advice* and use one of those seven different exits and find another profession where his attitude would be welcomed. We did not even get a chance to make another offer, or find a middle ground where we both could agree on since his attitude was "buy the car, or get out". The car needed a good bit of TLC, for the price and miles it was nowhere near worth what they were asking. Also, if you claim the vehicle passed a safety inspection the traction control should NOT be kicking in when its not supposed to, nor should it refuse to start after it was just running. We were told the vehicle was detailed, however the little bits of trash still in the trunk from the previous owner and the layer of dust on the dashboard and display cluster do not exactly scream "we had this just detailed". I don't think I could ever consider coming back here, or recommending this dealership.

I work away from my home most of the time...as in, it’s a twelve hour drive to get there. I rely on my car and hence am very careful to ensure oil is changed regularly (Actually twice as often as allowed by BMW). Nick got me in and out with the oil change, an alignment (again, I’m somewhat of a stickler here. Why own a car that handles like a BMW and not take care of it?) and a wash in an hour and a half. I hardly had time to drink a cup of coffee! I was made to feel as if I were a long time customer even though this was my first time here. This is great customer service, thank you!

I have been to some of the local BMW dealers: Ziegler BMW of Orland Park, IL; Bill Jacob BMW of Naperville, IL. I always had an uneasy feeling at these dealerships. That is why I went to BMW of Schererville, and I am glad that I did. The service advisers are very friendly and personable. I told them the diagnosis the other dealership had given my vehicle. They confirmed the problem with their shop foreman (person-to-person with me). They then completed the same job the other dealership was going to do for $600.00 cheaper. I am very pleased with BMW of Schererville. They are trustworthy. I will go there for any future work or service to my vehicle.

It's been quite a few times I have had a bad experience with only the service department for this particular location. Yesterday 06-28-2019 was by far the worse. I absolutely despise this location and at this time am deciding to leave this automobile company all together. In the future I advise this location to employ individuals who knows how to multitask in this type of environment and always treat every customers with the utmost respect and level of priority. I would never forget the 2 individuals whom need more training in those areas (service worker Joe & service worker Dan). I experienced 2 issues w/Joe. In 05-2015 Joe told me they were completely out of loaner vehicles but then gave a loaner to the very next customer which happened to be my friend's dad and only after I spoke up & my friend's dad told Joe that was very wrong of him, was I given a loaner vehicle which had been there the entire time. This was very deceitful. I went all the way to Tinley Park to purchase my next BMW to avoid being profiled at the Schererville location. However, I live 10mins away vs 50mins to Tinley Park so I decided to get service here yet again. 06-27-2019 I was transferred to 6 people Joe being #4 transferred me as well. When the call came back to Joe now #6, is when he decided to assist me. It took me 34 mins and 6 transfers to get assistance that only took 5mins 42sec. Joe did acknowledge the problem and apologized for both incidents but bc 2 problems occured w/him is the reason I believe he needs more training to avoid future apology occurrences. I also experienced 1 issue w/Dan on 06-28-2019 which was the most disturbing w/ no apology, no sence of urgency or priority. Arrived 1130am, texted Dan while waiting in the service lobby area (will copy and paste exact texts) Hi Sharica, this is Dan, your Service Advisor@BMW of Schererville. Should you need anything throughout your visit, please reply to this text Reply STOP if you do not wish to receive text messages. @1230pm "Hi Dan, I must make it to my Physical Therapy appointment at 2pm. Would you happen to have a time frame for my vehicle repair?" No reply instead Dan walked passed lobby and said "got your text and will speak w/Joe who just got out of a meeting," I replied ok thanks. @110pm went to Dan office, he was on the phone so I asked "Driver Dan" (unknown at the time)to please let "Service Dan" know I need to speak w/him but did not want to disrupt his phone call. W/Dan Still on the phone I decided to text a friendly reminder @130pm "Hello Dan it is now 130pm. I only have 30 mins to make it to my appointment. Could you provide me with vehicle information please" Dan reply: @137pm "I am on the phone I will runout there shortly and check with him" @140pm At this point, I took measures into my hands and Spoke w/ anyone employee that could assist me. Sales rep Chris and William quickly began to assist me. Needless to say I was 20mins late for a 2hr advance notice to Dan of my Physical Therapy appointment. @220pm I was dropped off by an extremely nice and polite gentleman, "Driver Dan." Lost 30 mins of PT time, due to "Service Dan" lack of customer assistance, urgency, or priority. @330pm Returned right after Physical Therapy and still did not even receive an apolgy from Dan. Instead Dan informed me that my vehicle need an $800 AC cord replaced that he had to order for Monday. I told him I will put down a deposit and he said no need. I took the repair estimate, given to me by Dan, to another BMW location today 06/29/2019 and they said he was deceiving me. I only needed a $120 AC sensor which was why I did not have to put down a deposit for what he claimed to have ordered I have proof of everything! Horrible Service/Untrustworthy Employee(s) at this BMW of Schererville Location

Never got a straight answer until finally had to go and get a loaner because my car was still not done. Got car back and "repairs" don't exist. Still having the same problem. Very disappointed.

This is my first BMW vehicle, I bought it here and was not satisfied with the service the day I bought it. I thought maybe it was an exception. I was getting a bad battery fault and they tried to fix it by driving it around for 20 miles. I had to go back the next day because it wasn’t fixed. Totally unnecessary, they could just had replaced the battery when I bought the vehicle. My next experience happened more recently about a week ago when I took the vehicle in for it’s regular oil change service. I had an appointment for 11:00 am. I was a little early, about 10 minutes and was not attended to till 11:20 or so in my vehicle. Then I was told they generally wash out BMW’s when taken in for service but they could not do it this time. I said okay, fine, no problem just get me out of here quick because I have to make a trip to West Lafayette, Thinking to myself. The service person then said they were back washing cars and asked me if I still wanted mine washed. I said sure I was already there and the vehicle needed a wash. So after an hour and a half of waiting she comes back and hands me my keys and tells me my vehicle is ready. I go out there to look for my car and could not find it because I’m looking for a nicely washed vehicle. My car was not washed and I left and paged the service adviser what happened. She apologized and told me I could go back for a car wash whenever I wanted. This is a brand new vehicle 2018 with only 3,000 miles on it. Having something like this happen every time I’m at this dealership now seems to be common and not an exception. I’m used to owning nothing but Ford Vehicles and treated like royalty at there dealerships. As soon as I have some equity in this BMW I’m going to trade it in for a Ford or Lincoln. I gave it a try for BMW’sand will never buy new BMW again. The New Lincoln Aviator looks awesome and I know I will get real service in their Dealerships.

First time I went to this location they didn’t know about my warranty. Which I’m sure they could’ve figured out , instead said I was going to have to pay for new breaks. I ended up having to drive all the way to the Elmhurst location. They handled everything for me . I made an appt for an oil change and everything went much better . I had a lady take care of me who was very nice and there were no problems with fees. So I guess it just depends who knows what there doing or not.

We just purchased a used 535d, and we've been strongly told that the key to owning a BMW is keeping up with the maintenance. So, we made an appointment to take the car in for it's first oil change. We didn't have a service adviser, but we ended up working with Dan. If you decide to service at BMW of Schererville, then we highly recommend Dan. We didn't work with anyone else, but I can tell you that Dan was extremely responsive, very helpful, really nice to our two little rambunctious boys, kept us informed of the progress, and even followed up to make sure everything was okay afterwards. As far as the car goes, it hasn't ran as nice as it does now, ever!

It might be that, as usual, I had the least performer Sales agent/client advisor; who was extremely proactive and responsive before I initiated the wire transfer from my bank. However, right after the bank confirmed the wire transfer will take a few days to process, she became unresponsive and was always “I am very sorry I am with another client and will have to call you back”, yet never calls back. Anyway, I proceeded with the deal and bought the vehicle (because by that time I had no choice but to do so, and I was really excited about the capabilities of the vehicle). When I received the vehicle (I bought the vehicle online from out-of-state) and noted the following: - 350 miles above the mileage I signed for in the paperwork package. - I was told the vehicle is equipped with CarPlay, yet when the vehicle arrived it wasn’t. And even though I went to another dealership who verified this vehicle not to have CarPlay. The client advisor still believed it had CarPlay and had her BMW Genius give me a call and try to troubleshoot the problem (who also confirmed that my vehicle isn’t CarPlay compatible). I am stating this only to show how unfamiliar the sales agent is with the product she was selling. - The car emergency braking and adaptive speed control aren’t functioning. When I spoke to the BMW Genius, he said that the vehicle should be equipped with both features and has advised me to go to the closest dealership, and have them inspect the vehicle at my own cost (a vehicle that I bought less than a week ago!) All in all, buying a COP vehicle I never expected it to be rated at 5.0 starts. But my main problem here is their client handling and communication skills! The manager is quite supportive though. I went in to the service department right before they closed and they were not sure if they would be able to fit me in, however he wanted to check and make sure he could. I had a nail in my tire, and thought it would have been a easy fix. Unfortunately I could not get it patched up but Dan, my service advisor, told me they had a new tire in stock and could get me rolling right away. $340 later I had a new tire lol. But nevertheless the service was AMAZING!!!!! I had all three of my children with me and my son was screaming loud, Jamie or Julie, I forget her name only because I was trying to get my son to calm down, came over and held my 3 month old for me while I calmed my son down and put his coat on. And when it was time to put my 3 month old daughter in her car seat, she then held my 2 year old son and started to talk to him. That is OUT OF SIGHT CUSTOMER SERVICE. This was my first time here and most definitely would not be my last. Thank you guys so much!!!!!!!

I requested my service through their web interface and in the notes asked for them to call me to discuss a crack in my windshield and to get it replaced. Didn't hear from anyone so I called in was told I'd get a callback with the price. During call back was told it wasn't in stock and they didnt have price, transferred to parts for price, asked if that included insulation, then was told to contact service for install price. Day of I did old change said maybe 1hr to 1hr30 mins they gave me a shuttle. I call at 11:30 for them to get me at 11:45. They said no problem wasnt picked up until 12:20 (I was like 7 mins drive away). Bill said old change coupon 89.00 but showed up with an 80.00 inspection fee. That was removed (they said they don't charge that even tho it was on the final bill to pay) car looked great when I picked it up, washed and vacuumed. I had to ask fro that because they said with coupon those services dont come with it. That's my story!

Extremely fast, courteous and diagnostic was extremely detailed but repair cost were very high - $137.88 for Vent Valve Kit replacemet - $755.84 for Oil Filter Housing Gasket. They also wanted $814 for new tires, for full synthetic oil change and $ for alignment - I'll go somewhere/anywhere else for a much lower price. I will only return if no one else can repair any future issue as was this case .

I will start off by saying that I work in the automotive business so I know how all of this works. I purchased a 2009 Z4 a couple days ago from this dealership. I was told it had been reconditioned and possibly would need a rear wheel bearing in 6-12 months. Driving the vehicle home on the interstate the vehicle was unbearably loud and I took it straight to mechanic. he said the vehicle was not even safe to drive and that the right rear wheel bearing would come off any second and I was lucky to get there without an accident occuring to me and my wife. Also coolant was leaking everywhere and needed to fix the leaking and $1,800 later it was solved engine was overheating and unsafe. when I asked the dealership about this the sales manager simply said the vehicle was sold as is and they do not care about the problems that were safety issues. BMW of Schererville does not take care of something that concerns the safety and well being of their customer. Do NOT buy a pre owned vehicle here BUYER BEWARE!!

We bought a hyundai sonata here with no engine lights at time of purchase, drove nice. As soon as we left the lot the check engine light and oil light came on. Now it has a rough idle, a dragging sound on the driver’s side rear, and an evap and crank shaft code. It’s costing us so much money and we were told it was a nice, simple car and would be great for a work vehicle. Now we can’t even pass emissions. My boyfriend has missed 2 days of work because of this car they sold us for $3000 by the way. We are screwed because of this place.
