I leased a 2018 Malibu from Bill Estes & have had the car for about a year and half now. I called the service department to see if I could bring my car in because my tire had a bubble in it that started to leak. The representative I spoke with was quite rude when discussing dates available, he simply told me they had no time whatsoever to fit me in for my availability - then hung up on me mid sentence. I ended up having to bring my car in that same day because my tire wouldn’t hold air anymore & I was basically driving around on a flat. Thank god I got the tire & wheel insurance on this vehicle because this is my 8th tire, yes 8th in a year and a half period. I’ve tried talking to representatives about the issue but they don’t seem to care, goes in one ear & out the other. I’m less than impressed with Bill Estes & the quality of service they provide.

Overall the experience was good. I was a bit disappointed that the key pod on the only set of keys has a cracked case, also that there was only 1 set of keys. After my purchase, I drove the vehicle home and when I placed something in my dash to discover there were no vehicle reference books in the dash. I thought this was standard and have never gotten a vehicle that they were not standard. I was a bit disappointed that this was not brought to my attention. I paid top dollar for a used 5 year old vehicle because I have always wanted to own this vehicle, but feel I was shorted a bit. It's sometimes the little things that really count especially when I drove an hour and a half to purchase the vehicle.

Lauren Cook was simply amazing! I had a flat tire right before I was going out of town for the week and had to have my truck towed to the dealership. Not only did Lauren assure me it could get resolved, she made sure to update me on the status and timeline. What was expected to be an all day repair due to not having an appointment turned into a 2 hour in and out repair and I was back on the road! I will definitely return to Lauren for all of my service needs in the future!

I have been coming here since I bought my car in 16. I have never had an issue until my most recent visit. I had an appointment for an oil change. The advisor told me it would be and hour. Hour and a half max. It took them 3 hours. Prior to me bringing my car in for service, I had no issues. The tech let me know that I needed a new battery. I didn't have the 200 on hand to get it fixed so I told him it would have to wait. Finally I get into my car and the radio doesn't work. I pull back around and tell the advisor. He looks at me and says, "Yea, he had trouble getting it to turn back on. You need a battery" Mind you NO ONE TOLD ME MY RADIO WAS NO LONGER WORKING. At this point I am livid and they do something to charge my battery enough for everything to work. Now, my car barely wants to start. I am currently writing this review as I wait for another repair shop to install a new battery. At this point I am so disappointed with the service that I received and do not plan on returning back to this location.

Appointment was easy to set up and when I arrived I was greeted by Mark Phillips. Mark explained what was going to happen and showed me to the waiiroom. I sometimes use the free shuttle service for s ride to work but I didn’t today. That’s a great service offering. I waited in the waiting area and they had copies of the USA Today to read.

Beware, they are raising prices like crazy. Oil change price has went up 2 times in last year. Also sort of a industry standard To not be charged a diagnostics fee when the work gets done but they tried to charge me both . Then $124 was what they told me and that was bad enough but when I got there they threw on another $20 for " shop fees " at least those shop fees should have included adding air in my tire which two needed. Convenient old autozone did a scan and gave me the same info for free. All seemed pretty shady especially for a dealership.

The service rep was great, but the mechanics in the service center are below par. They left lines disconnected in the engine, which could have caused damage to my engine. On top of that they left screws off (or didn’t properly tighten them) the air dam. This has caused passenger front air dam to hang and the back passenger air dam to free rotate. They also miss diagnosed a sensor problem. Due to the experience I had on the my first two visits to their service center, I will not be returning there for my service needs

On s Saturday afternoon, I had an issue with my car. I called Bill Estes & they were very polite and helpful & asked me to bring the car in right away. My 2009 Impala had a service engine light on for almost two weeks, it wouldn’t start easily, shakes and the exhaust gases smelled very bad, I replaced the gas cap myself but that didn’t help, took my car to a mechanic who couldn’t find anything wrong, with the problem not solved I took my car to Bill Estes Chevrolet and they found out the problem and fixed it even though it took time more than expected. Now my car starts normally and remotely even in cold weather. I’m very satesfied with the quality of service and reasonable cost and would recommend Bill Estes for their professional work. The service was faster than expected, but , the fact that I had 2 good-sized Oil Spots in my driveway the next morning was not appreciated. I didn’t have time to return it for an explanation, but I believe oil was spilled during the refilling stage and must have settled in the framework of my SUV. I have a hard time believing that the service technician didn’t let someone know , to forewarn this customer, that there might be some possible residual oil drippage. Won’t be returning for service or vehicle purchase.....one and done!!!

I left work so I can arrive at my appointment on time , and to my biggest surprise, they were not able to pull my information out, and while I was trying to figure out why , the guy at the desk just told me that he is pulling my car out because he has some other customers to take care of and if they were to service my car I would have to wait couple hours. Sales guy Eric was great, finance guy was great. But they offered way low on my trade in and were asking too much for the used vehicle I bought. Also the vehicle I bought needs heavy maintenance to the front end that their mechanics did not annotate on their inspection. Tires were bald. They basically bought it from the other guy, clean the interior, and put it back on the lot for a big mark up. ( i’m sure they told the guy the truck needed maintenance and body work to devalue his trade in, just as they did mine). If they would have just fixed everything that needed done and put tires on it I would have been happy with the price and the experience. They did flex a tiny bit, but this was my first experience buying from a large dealer and they made me feel like I didn’t know what I was talking about. They are making more than enough profit, could have easily just fixed it up. I just watched my truck get listed for double what they gave me, after telling me my truck was barely worth what they gave me...DOUBLE... and they have only had it 2 days so no way they did anything too it. Not what I expected out of such a reputable car dealer And I Definitely will not do business with them again.

I scheduled an oil change. When I showed up early for my scheduled time, I was told I was late, but they would fit me in (whoever scheduled my appointment messed up the time on their end). I waited an hour and a half. When I get in my car to leave and turn it on, it started chiming and my check engine light came on. My car is brand new and had no previous issues. They take it back to check, and when they bring it out, I was told there were two different oil levels for my car, and they just didn't fill it enough the first time. I might be a female, but I understand cars, and I can change my oil. I received two free oil changes when I purchased my car (from a different dealership) so I thought I would take it in. What he really meant was they didn't refill my oil after they drained it. I would have been okay if they just told me truth from the get go rather than act as if I didn't understand my vehicle.

I had my truck towed to the dealership on Sunday evening from Muncie. I spoke with a technician Monday morning and informed them I had my truck towed to their service center because my transmission was going out. I lost acceleration and the transmission was slipping. I was informed that they already looked at my truck and everything was fine with my truck that it just needs maintenance including a transmission flush. I was a bit surprised and asked in confirmation that nothing was wrong with the transmission. The tech said no that I just needed some maintenance services on my truck, fuel flush, transmission flush, filter changes, etc. Total cost was $720. I was thrilled because I thought I would need a new transmission. I received a call that my vehicle was ready in the afternoon. When I arrive I drive it off the lot and notice the transmission light is still on and its having the same issues. I was confused. I live less than a mile from the dealership so I drive it home....see if the problem goes away. It doesn't. I call the dealership and I'm told that the service center thought I brought my car in for an oil change and general maintenance. I have a little one and no transportation so the dealership offered a rental and apologized. I was informed there was a miscommunication on why my truck was being serviced. They didn't even do a diagnostic. I was very upset. I was informed that due to the $720 worth of work that was done on my truck for reasons not even related to why I took my truck in that they would adjust pricing based on what they find wrong with my truck today. I have never experienced such a gap and lack of communication at a service center and am amazed that anyone touching my truck would think that I had it towed to the location for an oil change and general maintenance? I hope the communication is clear today with the service center and techs as to what my needs are as a customer. Also, I do hope that the $720 I paid yesterday is applied to the cost of actually fixing my truck. T. Reece

Was previously a 5-star rating, but my most recent experience ruin that. 2 1/2 hours for a SCHEDULED oil change. Had to ask twice about where my car was. Saw people that were walk-in’s close to 45 minutes after I arrived get their vehicles done before mine. There was no apology for the wait. There was no follow-up. The answer I received was “yeah, it’s taking them a while.” I finally spoke up and said “I have to go. I need to be somewhere.” And then it miraculously was some in 10 minutes? Never, ever again. EDIT: The below reply is false. I never received a call from them.

Worst buying experience in my life once approved for a loan on a Colorado 4x4 extended cab truck I was told to come in pickup my truck after 2 hrs sitting with lots of confusion going on the salesman comes back and let's me know that the truck I was supposed to be getting was already sold So I let them locate another truck from other gm lot. I'm told they found one that it would be on a Wednesday when I can come in and do the final paperwork and that the truck was red. I arrive on that Wednesday to find out that the truck was blue 2 weeks later I noticed that all four Goodyear wrangler tires had ripples and some bulging on them, I take it back to Bill Estes service department where they tell me that they are factory defects and they would contact GoodYear after 2 days and not returning my phone call I go back to the dealership to find out that Bill Estes and Goodyear doesn't want to honor my warranty. After 3 weeks and 2500 miles I have to go purchase new tires Very disappointed in their service and professionalism at the dealership. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to Bill Estes Chevrolet Unsatisfied Customer

I had a oil change done on my car April 5, 2019. After leaving I noticed a slight rattling sound that my car wasn't making before the oil change. I called Bill Estes a few days later and talked to Jordan who told me I would have to pay $125.00 dollars for a diagnostic test. I never in my life heard a auto shop charge you for a diagnostic test to look at the work that they just did on your vehicle. WOW!!!! I went on line and chatted with a Bill Estes representative who said she would try to find out why Jordan would try to charge me for looking over work done in your shop. Never heard from her again which I expected. This guy Jordan asked me was my car under warranty which it is, then he go on to say is what's wrong covered under your power train warranty. I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but I can just say am pretty sure while doing a oil change on my vehicle you worked on parts that's covered under the warranty. And why would it matter if I was under warranty or not for you to check on the work you just did on my vehicle. So now I'm not happy!!!! So I called around to other credible local Chevy Dealers and I was surprised because a few shops said for me to just bring my vehicle in and they would look at what the problem might be. No CHARGE!!!! And I can transfer my OnStar and the auto maintenance of my car to their Dealership because I was assured that they guarantee their work without trying to RIP people off. One Dealership called this a money hungry power grab and even apologized to me. Now I'm in the process of finding a credible Chevy Dealership to transfer my vehicle maintenance before my next oil change.

Love going here, though there is a wait but you are waiting inside a clean warm and comfortable lounge room with television, coffee, water pop corn etc. Customer service here was good as well, it could of been great but the energy from the clerk that was ringing me out was a lil worn out and I could understand I would still go back as long as they continue to send me those coupons which came in handy today.

I recently acquired a short bus to transport my wife of 600+ pounds and our dyslexic pet spider monkey Todd. This dealerships Sales and service department were more than accommodating to our needs. Todd ate all of the crayons in the kids play area ( we felt terrible ) however, Matt Nowlan in sales was able to provide a fresh new box. The sales staff notified their Sales Manager Zac Pelz of this incident and while on his lunch break he stopped by Walgreens to pick up more crayons and coloring books for Todd to take home. Words can not express how grateful we are to have such a great dealership in the neighborhood!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to get an oil change and asked for wiper lines to be replaced at the same time. Left and after a few weeks my wife told me that her sprayers weren't working. Open the hood to find out that they only fixed the work I did to the washer lines. I knew what I had done was only temporary which is why I asked for the lines to be repaired. I go back for another oil change and brought up there insufficient work on the wiper lines. They agreed to fix it properly but stated they would have to send someone to get the right parts. After 3 plus hours of waiting I had to ask how much longer it was going to be because they still hadn't fixed the issue. I was told they were still waiting on the parts even though i had been told twice during that 3 hour period that the part was on the way back. I then told them to just give me the car back and I would take it elsewhere to get fixed and asked for my money back for the previous repair not made. All of a sudden the part showed up and in about another 15 minutes the work was done. They didn't charge me for anything that day including the oil change but in my opinion that was very poor customer service!

Friendly service, but my last two appointments have ended up with me leaving with no work done on my vechicle. The first time they ended up not having the parts, and the second time they didn’t have the parts or the correct people to do the work. I spent a total of 3 hours on the road travel to the shop and two hours in the shop for the two appointments with no service provided. That is not good.

He always greets with a smile that says he enjoys what he does. Work was performed at a reasonable. It did take longer than expected, but I am guessing that was to not having an appointment. I definitely suggest making an appointment for faster service times.

I rated lower because of how long the process took. We spent 15-20 minutes looking for the car the salesman wanted me to see. That wasn't too bad but then I also had to wait for fiance as they were having technical difficulties. After 5+ hours there...I would hesitate to recommend to a friend. Another issue was I gave him a monthly price I didn't want to go over. I was looking for a used car. He thought it would be best to do a brand new 2019 car as he believed it would save me money. His cheapest quote for the brand new was $70 over what I said I wanted. I went ahead and bought it but looking back I think I should have looked other dealerships.

Hello. I was frustrated by my experience last Saturday. I had an appointment for an 11:30 oil change, tire rotation, and battery check. I didn’t get out of there until 1:25. I checked the monitor at 12:45 and my car was still in line for service. I spoke with the service manager and he said that you were backed up and that the middle of the day on Saturday was always very busy. My question: why have appointments???? I am seriously considering whether or not I want to go somewhere else. The waiting room was cold and noisy which would have been ok for 30-45 minutes, but 2 hours!!

We had the best car buying experience today. Saif and his partner Kai made us a great deal on a pre-owned car. The payment will be right within our budget. And as we were finishing paperwork, Boomer from the Pacers was standing beside me. I think everybody in the dealership heard me scream when I saw him. A really great dealership. What Mr Estes says on his TV commercials is true. I think this is the second car we've bought from them - and their service department has a great deal of Integrity. The whole dealership does. Worked out a deal via email with Dave. Settled on a price, asked Dave to send a bill of sale I could take to my credit union. 2 hours later received an email from Dave stating that management made the decision to sell the truck to someone who came in to the dealership instead. Totally disappointed with that decision. On top of that, the truck is still listed online, with a new, more expensive price. Not sure what the whole issue is, but I'll never even consider dealing with them again.

My husband and I went to test drive 2 vehicles. Older models that we saw online. We said that we did NOT want a car payment. Our budget was $8000. You should be able to buy a safe vehicle for $8000. Well there is no way that Bill Estes did a safety check on the first vehicle we test drove an 08 Equinox 1. The left turn signal did not work, you had to hold down the lever for it to work. 2. Something sounded like it was rubbing underneath almost like a tire. 3. The brakes were grinding metal to metal. We went down to 1 stop light and turned around. The salesman all he said was " I'm not sure what that noise is." The second vehicle was better and one we would have considered purchasing, but after we said that we wanted to get back with them in the morning the salesman then brought his Finance Manager over. The Finance Manager Rodger I believe basically made it seem like we weren't spending enough $. He went on to suggest that we lease and even said consider taking the money we were going to spend to put as a down payment and have a small car payment. I don't know how many different ways a person can say it: we do not want a car payment. That lost our business. We purchased a very nice, safe, and affordable car without a car payment elsewhere today. Only thing good was Matt our salesman was very nice and not pushy. Unlike his other co worker.

The staff is nice and polite. I had bought a 2015 Chevy Malibu. It wouldn't start when we first tried to take it for a test drive, so they put a new battery in it for me. 3 car payments or so later and my engine started to smoke and over heat, so I took it in to get looked at. They wanted to charge me $435. To flush, clean and fill the coolant and gas because it had been sitting there for a couple years. When I tried to explained that I haven't had it that long to the mechanic, he politely said he doesn't work in sales. My expensive optional 4 year extended warranty doesn't cover it either. I guess on the plus side they thru in 2 free oil changes in the first year. I really hope they still honor that. But I'm stating this to any and everyone looking to buy a new/used car. Don't settle. Ask them to bring the automotive up to par before signing that contract! I've read worse reviews on here but still it's unacceptable. It's not like I had the car for year or 2 before bringing it up. At first notice I contacted them about the problem. I'm starting to feel like a fool for paying for the extended warranty. "Moose" the salesman assured me that it covered everything except the glass Bumper to Bumper. Please be cautious!

I was just in yesterday and I had to advise Mark Phillips a man who told me he had twenty five years of service how to look a recall. When all you have to do is put a vin number in. Then I ask for a diagnostic test he then ask me for what as if I rode a bicycle in the shop(My IMPALA). To make matters worse he told me that the part was on back order for my side view mirror detection alert. Then tried to write me an estimated cost of 341 dollars for repairs and keep in mind this is for diagnostic test and an oil change. Which cost no where near that he then goes on to tell me you're the only person who has read what I was signing for when I read my estimate.(I'm black with dreadlocks) All the while my car is sitting on the shop floor where I pulled it in. How the hell do you give someone an eyeball estimate and expect them to look at you as if have any integrity when you've lied several this the second time I've received poor service. The first time Joshua Burger was my service clerk and I end up having to come back twice in a row for the same problem a check engine light was on. Good thing I kept my estimates and paperwork. I think it would be in the best interest of future customers to to question your charges before signing them and if you're given nonsense like I was report them to the Better Business Bureau. 05/18/2019

I went in for a simple check engine light they charge me 140$ to plug in. Then they said it was an evac vent valve which runs about 30$ retail they wanted over 400$ to replace. Then they said my front breaks were bad they wanted almost 700$ to do them. First of all I did not require a brake inspection I did not ask for one my brakes are two years old they said they were at 3 mm however they never even took the tires off my brakes measured out at over 5 mm in actuality they try to charge me $700 for a part that they never actually inspected correctly Then they wanted to change and flush my power steering fluid as well as my brake fluid they wanted to charge me $1700 for something that shouldn’t cost more than maybe a couple hundred dollars all I wanted to have done is to get my check engine light issues fixed these people were simply trying to gouge me I took my vehicle back to Best one of IndyTo get my brakes inspected because they are the ones that installed them my brakes are fine I will never go to Bill Estes again I put one star because it wouldn’t let me send with no stars

I set an appt so I wouldn’t have a long wait! I was left sitting in the Service Dept lounge for nearly 2 hrs before I approached the counter & asked what was going on as I had noticed that customers who arrived after me had been serviced, checked out & gone. Lindsey was helpful and but it took Korey another 20min to come & tell me he forgot to follow through & my “paperwork”” had been “lost” but he found it. He then proceeded to tell me he had them closing it up & bringing it around for me. He told me my vehicle needed a “filter” but that they’d wait until I come in next time, since I’d already waited so long. I was already upset but would have preferred being asked before he decided for me!! I’m certain, had he given the option of having it replaced & my wait being another 20-30 min or letting it go another 3 mos I would have chosen to have it done at that time!! I am not pleased with this. I am evaluating if maybe I should go somewhere else the next time I’m due for an oil change/service. Sorry this is so long.

I had quite the week with my car. The check engine light came on, on Tuesday. I pulled in, and they were able to get me scheduled for the following morning, first thing. That ended up being an O2 sensor, which they replaced that Wednesday. The shuttle service was excellent! I didn't have any problems getting to and from work in a timely manner.

Called on Monday am to get an oil change and a broken door handle fixed. Spoke with Mark Phillips in service who asked if I could be there in an hour! It is my only car and they needed it overnight so they provided me with a loaner. Got the oil changed and the door handle fixed, an alignment, and broken stabilizer bars repaired. On checkout, the woman at the desk looked up my service credit and I asked if my warrant covered any of these things. They told me that it was expired but I had the paperwork with me and thought it was still in force until august of this year. Mark went the extra mile to look it over and take it to the dealership/finance department. Michael Higgins investigated and found that the odometer reading wasn’t entered when I bought the contract at the end of the factory warranty. He and Jenny got that corrected and are working on crediting the warranty covered charges. I REALLY appreciated all of their efforts. I know this time helping me Could have been spent making a new sale and more money for them. They did reinforce my loyalty to Bill Estes and I will be spreading the word about their great customer service!
