I was treated very well. The salesman spent all the time I wanted explaining all the features of the car. The car was immaculately clean inside and out. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I had to go back into the dealership after they sent me out the door and ask for a couple of things I had been promised that I hadn't received; a full tank of gas, and reimbursement for some travel expenses that the salesman graciously offered to pay.

My incredibly hard-working husband took a day off of administering anesthesia to his patients in the operating room to go buy a car. We decided to make it a family affair. He had his heart set on buying a Porsche. We went in around 1:00 and he asked to test drive a car we saw online that he was most interested in. The salesman floored me when he said it was an inconvenience to move the car from The floor and would not unless he was very interested and a well qualified buyer. He would need to prove he qualified financially first!?!? I couldn’t help but think my Indian husband was being discriminated against as he has bought and traded in cars at several luxury car dealerships all over Chicagoland and has never ever been given this sort of runaround. It was truly shameful. I immediately took my kids and went to the car while my husband jumped through all the ridiculous hoops to meet their demands. Such B.S. I eventually convinced him to leave and we will be taking our business elsewhere. I do not recommend this place if you are a person of color or care about people who are.

I just wanted to say a few words about the dealership and my salesman Anthony Whitlock. It was bar none the very best buying experience I ever had for any new car (or used car for that matter). My parents were in the market for a E500 series, and wasn't sure where to look. Therefore, I went to Loeber which is close to my house. The moment I went in I was treated with respect and dignity. At no point was I feeling forced to buy from our saleman, Anthony Whitlock. He was very kind, understanding of my needs, and listened attentively. When it came time to talk price, he was straight forward and did not play games with me. He was a good listener and our family got the precise car we hoped for at a very very good price. The sales manager was also excellent. The showroom is very nicely laid out, and the open high ceiling construction tells you this is a Mercedes dealership. Afterward, the financing department blazed through our paperwork very quickly...but efficiently. Everything was laid out to satisfy our understanding, and Anthony went over all the special features at the end of our sale. I was very reluctant at first because I have not always had the best experience at car dealerships, but Loeber proved me wrong. Consider me an advocate and customer for life! :)

From the start, Ethan was very professional, and knew the car (2017 Boxster S certifies) from top to bottom. I traded in my SUV for a pre-owned Sportswagon Loeber had on the lot as I wanted a change. Ethan my sales person and I took it out for a test drive and we put it through all the paces. The service department there run by Fred is the best and Fred and Sergio worked on my car. Immediately after taking it home the engine light went on and as Murphys Law would have it, a pressure sensor and housing needed replacing, which loeber did immediately at no charge, reimbursed me for an additional diagnostic fee and offered to get the aftermarket performance chip previously installed reprogrammed if needed. !!!!!!!!!!BUYER BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT; UNETHICAL; & CHEAP TACTICS TO SELL CARS!!!!!! -2 RATING IF I COULD DO THAT!!!!!!!!!! On February 15th, 2016, I had the most unfortunate experience in purchasing my first ever luxury car (2013 Mercedes-Benz C300 4Matic Sport) from Loeber Motors in Lincolnwood, IL. Thinking that I am buying a reputable luxury car from one of the top luxury entry brands in the market I would be provided executive class service and professional treatment. HOWEVER, I was provided nothing more than CHEAP, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL, & CLASSIC USED CAR SALESMAN TACTICS in pushing me to purchase the car. CLASSIC BAIT/SWITCH, where the Salesman ANTHONY WHITLOCK (I WOULD BE COVERED WITH MBCPO WARRANTY FOR 27 MONTHS TILL MARCH 2018) after the fact said, “you should have known what your were buying before making the final purchase.” The story is, I was informed as written by Anthony Whitlock on the internal invoice dated 2/15/16 that regardless of the mileage, in my case the car was sold at 49,712, the MBCPO Warranty will expire on 3/14/2018 OR 27 months of coverage as written. However, after receiving my official MBCPO warranty document and having discussions with the Service Department (who ultimately will be honoring the warranty and any repairs that may arise) the MPCPO (1 year additional warranty) activates once the standard 4year/50,000 mileage warranty end (whichever occurs first). So practically, I only had 288 miles of full original coverage and 1 year additional with the warranty ENDING IN 2017 not 2018. The next few days following the sale, I contacted Mr. Anthony, his boss pre-owned sales manager Maciej Samulski, and even the General Sales Manager Joe Rupp in hopes of resolving this matter in a professional manner. However, I have not received any positive correspondences from any of the personnel’s mentioned. Furthermore, I was told by management if I want PEACE OF MIND, I should PAY $3,000 MORE on top of my purchase price of $24,000 and buy an Extended Warranty to ensure coverage for 2018 and beyond. IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE PURCHASING A CAR FROM LOEBER MOTORS PLEASE BEWARE AND READ ALL THE DETAILS CAREFULLY ESPECIALLY IN REGARDS TO WARRANTY DURATION AND COVERAGE. !!!!!!DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID IN EXCITEMENT OF BUYING YOUR 1ST AND LAST MERCEDES FROM LOEBER MOTORS!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUY A BMW OR TESLA INSTEAD.

Car started having problems less than 2 months after buying it. Loerber asked for more than $3K dollars to repair it. Then less than a year after repairing it I had another problem for which they asked $5K dollars. Not only that, they had the nerves to ask me if I wish to sell the car to them for $4K dollars ($9K dollars less than what I bought it for!) good service, awful prices, do not trust the cars they sell to you without warranty!!

I am not the one to spend my time to write a review on yelp. But the service I got from Loeber Porsche was terrible. Let me first start off by saying I bought my 2015 Porsche Macan new from Loeber 4 years ago. My salesman was Charles and from the moment I met him, he has been great to me. You will never feel pressured to make a purchase. I highly recommend dealing with him. He is a genuine and a respectful person. But this review isn't about the sales department of loeber, it's about the service department and the people you have to deal with once you've purchased your car. So yesterday I called Porsche service to set up an appointment for an oil change and low coolant light. I had called around 12:30PM to see what times were available and if the current day was free. I had talked to someone in service who had set up an appointment for me. Originally I was willing to wait for a day where I could wait for my car. But I was told that they probably couldn't get to my car the same day since the day was coming to an end. Which was very understandable. But she had offered an option of a loaner. This seemed great, since I probably could get my car back early the next day. So I agreed to an appointment at 4:00PM to drop my car off. Things seemed great since I was worried about my coolant light and my car overheating. When I arrived at the dealer I was dealing with Gary. I refreshed him with the issues with my car and the service I wanted. He went and took a look at my car and came back and started working on setting things up. As he began, he asked me if I was leaving my car. I replied that I had talked to someone on the phone and they had arranged a loaner for me. He replied, "i don't have a loaner for you." He literally said this while two loaners were sitting right next to my car. I had no plans to come to Loeber that day and planned to wait for my service another day. But they are the ones that originally offered a loaner and gave me reason to clear time in my day to get work on my car done. So I explained to him that someone had set me up with a loaner. He came back to me and said that I called another dealer and I had never called them to set up an appoint. I showed him my call history and showed him that I was on the phone for 5 minutes with Loeber earlier in the day. I even had an email confirming the appointment. But as I opened the email in front of him, I noticed another email of them canceling my appointment an hour after I scheduled it. The fact that they canceled it on me without any notice and not sticking with their word of a loaner, this was the last time I wanted to deal with them. As things escalated Fred Glaeser, the service manager came in to see what the commotion was about. I explained to him what happened and he was of no help. He was condescending and rude. He puts on a fake smile on and has no sincerity in the words that come out of his mouth. (Think Bill Lumbergh from Office Space). This is the same guy who in the past saw I was getting a loaner from Loeber and went up to Jim in service to whisper something to him. Let's just say after that, I didn't get a loaner and had to wait for my service. Then Gary had the audacity to ask if I wanted to schedule another appointment. As if I would just be ok with everything that went on. At that point, I felt as if everyone was against me. So I asked for my keys and left. I am currently switching over to Porsche Exchange.

I never in my life would have considered that Loeber would be THE dealership to buy a used car from, but it makes sense that they would have only the absolute best of the best no matter what nameplate. I've never had more confidence in buying a used anything, especially a major purchase. As my salesman said "we don't sell any junk!" as they have a 79 year old reputation to uphold! I've had some really poor experiences buying cars before, but I had a really good experience at Loeber Porsche buying a used Lexus GX. My salesman was Anthony Taylor. Tony made the experience pretty painless. Without having to haggle, I paid a fair price for the Lexus and got a fair value for my trade. When I took delivery, I was surprised to only receive one keyfob. Tony said to buy a new keyfob from Lexus and to send him the receipt. We didn't have anything in writing, and a lot of dealers would have "forgotten" about a verbal agreement like that. Instead, Tony had a check mailed to me within a week of receiving my receipt. It can be hard to find a trustworthy dealer. Loeber is legit and Tony is solid.

Where to begin? If I was to give this dealership a rating it would be -5 stars. This place is an absolute joke. After settling a price on a preowned 07 911 997 these people said they didn't want my business after I wouldn't give them a $5000.00 deposit on my credit card. I didn't give them my information because they didn't ever send me a sales contract so they wanted my money blindly without me and my wife seeing anything in writing. WHO DOES THAT?! This is an extremely shady practice and I would never recommend them to anyone trying to buy from out of state or at all for that matter! This dealership does NOT stand up to Porsche standards whatsoever. My wife was also very rudely spoken to over the phone when trying to find out why they couldn't sell us the car. (Mind you we were approved for a loan for the full amount of the vehicle!) I believe they didn't want to sell us the car because my wife and I got a way better interest rate at our credit union and I think they under priced the vehicle. Either way terrible business sense and we will be writing corporate headquarters in Atlanta and complaining about this awful place. Please take it from us, do not even waste your time, they are horrendous.

See Paul Amato. He will allow you test drive a Porsche without purchasing one. Loeber's sales rep is so Sad and full of you know what! Can't even schedule maintenence work at this location since it's close to home. You have to leave a message and no one gets back to you. How ridiculous is that. I keep giving them chances and they keep squandering opportunities to make things right. I just felt I had to write this since they are probably the worse dealership I've ever dealt with on every level imagineable. This place profiles and is completely unorganized. Highly recommend you stay away. If I were an attorney I would've filed a lawsuite for discrimination but why bother I'll never give them any of my business ever again! This is going to be a long review. If you plan to buy a vehicle from Loeber Motors (from any of their stores) and you are doing the deal sight un-seen (or even in person) I highly suggest you rethink your decision. I am going to describe my experience in great detail in hopes I can maybe save someone the heartache, stress, and agony I have had to endure. I found a 2018 Porsche Cayenne that had all the options my wife wanted. We live in South Georgia and had looked nationwide for the right vehicle. I found it in Chicago at the Loeber Motors Porsche dealership. I made contact with them, and Jaime, in their sales department, got ahold of me. I was told the vehicle had been a loaner car for about 6k miles. I asked if the vehicle had any damage whatsoever. I was told it did not, and that it was flawless. I paid full asking price for the vehicle via wire transfer two days later. The vehicle was picked up and arrived at our home shortly after the transaction was completed. Upon inspection, I found that the front two tires had some irregular tire wear on the outside edges which suggests some suspension issues. We also found a large gouge in the inner trim panel that clips into the inside of rear hatch. On top of that, there was also a door ding on the driver rear door, dirty fingerprints throughout, the wheels had not been detailed, and there was a piece of felt sticking out from the driver front door trim. My wife and I spent the first two hours of ownership cleaning a vehicle we just paid a lot of money for. I conveyed my concerns to Jaime. We can leave that for now. On the first day the vehicle rolled off the delivery truck, and after spending our own time to detail the car, we drove this 2018 Porsche Cayenne 5 miles down the road to dinner that night and IT SHUT OFF ON US WHILE WE WERE DRIVING. It was NOT the stop-start function, the vehicle turned off while we were moving. All the dash lights came on and, while driving down a busy intersection and fighting the loss of power steering, my wife had to manually re-start the car with the ignition key. 5 miles. On top of that, it had a random hard shift from 2nd to 3rd and from 4th to 5th. It also shimmied and pulled to the left. Jaime passed me off to Jeff Kalinsky, the general manager of the Porsche location. I had a few emails with him and on the morning of 8 October I had a phone conversion with John David who is the used car manager. He said that if we opted to just return the vehicle that would not be an issue. He also stated that if we opted to keep it, he would pay for two tires, a dent removal, and a new trim panel. He encouraged us to sit on the idea for a week, ensuring us that if we still decided to return the car, this would not be a problem. We did end up stuck with it and the promised repairs were never paid for. At the end of the day we did not have faith in the vehicle and like I said before it is unacceptable to have my wife driving a vehicle with random mechanical issues. The morning of October 11th I got an email from Jeff stating that he could not authorize a vehicle return and the only person that could, Mike Loeber, was unreachable until the morning of October 15th. This news basically ruined the vacation my wife and I had planned. Was I going to be stuck with a $67,100 piece of junk that I felt unsafe having my wife in? After long and stressful days, and conversations with Mike Loeber and as well as his uncle Paul, they refused to do anything about it. I was passed from person to person until no one would take my calls or respond to my emails. The CEO of the dealership called the vehicle shutting off a ‘minor service issue’, and Jeff Kalinsky stated that he would be ok with his family driving the vehicle. That shows me what they think of their clients. In general this was an awful experience. I will be posting this review on any website I can find. I will be contacting the local BBB as well as Porsche North America to file a formal complaint against Loeber Motors.
