Very friendly people at this dealership. No high-pressure sales staff. Wife visited several other car dealers nearby, but we always came back to this one. She finally purchased a very slightly used 2018 Kia Soul Turbo with 18-inch wheels, sport-selectable automatic transmission, heavily tinted windows, fully reclining and heated leather seats and many other deluxe features from Sunset Kia. We love this car and the service provided by Sunset Kia, and we will definitely consider them again when it is time to buy another "new" slightly used car.

Buyer be aware and don't bother with the expensive warranty it is useless!! Sales persons can miss inform you. Bought used Kia here in February 2017 with 69997 no on it. The warning light was on for the breaks when I took it for a test drive. I asked about it said I wouldn't buy it unless the problem is solved. So salesman tells me good news you get new brakes no extra charge....june 2018 when I have to replace ALL 4 rotars and 4 disc brakes I am told that they only sanded the rotars. The sales person miss informed me and that the sales people do not know what they do in the service department so to bad for me.....also my $3000 bumper to bumper warranty that I purchased at the dealership at the time of sale TOTALLY USELESS! So at 92000 I'm told this is normal wear and tear so the $3000, 3 year 36,000 mi warranty doesn't cover it.

My key FOB was not working on my 2 month old KIA. Service guy replaced a new battery, did not ask me, and said ok $8.22. I paid but came back after 10 minutes as this is something I can get at dollar store for well, $1! So told manager wanted a refund and he said they will reverse charges. Well just got my CC bill and guess what! Charge from KIA Venice FL for $8.22!!!! Just got off the phone with store MGR and told me to stop by as they need CC to reverse. Let's get this done.

I took my Kia back three times and they still have not fixed the problem. I also am not satisfied with the customer service that I was given. The staff was not as helpful as I had wanted them to be. No one even did a follow up call to ask if the repair was OK. Next time its Toyota.

I first came to Sunset Kia, after driving from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Venice Floridain my 2017 Sportage. When I arrived it was then due for an oil change and I asked them to 'give her the once over', to make sure everything was good. I was so pleased that it did not need anything but an oil change, and did NOT try to sell me air filters, oil filters or windshield wipers. JUST the oil change. 3 weeks ago when the weather got COLD here, I got up in the morning to run errands, and a yellow light went off on the panel of my car warning me that the tire pressure in my drivers side rear tire was low. I don't have a tire pressure gauge, and thought if I show up at a convienence store to fill my tires, that would be stupid, because I don't know what I am doing.. I just drove straight to SUNSET KIA, pulled up and apologized for not calling ahead, but my tire pressure was low. Immediately a man named Carl was called, he directed me over to the air filling area. He immediately looked at my panel in the car, checked the air pressure in all my tires, filled them telling me they were all low probably due to the dramatic drop in temperature, and sent me on my way. He would not accept a tip, I was not charged, so I brought them all donuts later as a thank you. I can't explain the sense of relief they gave me. These guys are great!

I would recommend going online and looking up Kia dealerships for price and consumer recommendations. This is the second Kia dealership that is part of a network in Sarasota and Venice.. at both places I was brought in by appealing advertisements for low price car leases. In both places none of it was true. They admitted you must read the fine print. Fine print is not only unreadable but not very comprehensible. Despite what they say the truth is their prices were actually $10,000 more then the cheap base price deals they offered. I feel it is bait-and-switch advertising. They are operating in the letter of the law but it's only a quarter of an inch before you slide into the dark side. They claimed they did not offer car loans through the dealership but I would have to go to a a bank that would set my rates depending on my credit. 2 years ago the dealer in Sarasota kept me waiting 3 hours by running back and forth into his manager's office and returning with unrealistic offers. My advice, be cautious.

They have very nice, methodical and thorough sales associates. Like all car sales showrooms, there are a ton of bored looking men, watching your every move, and like all formulaic sales forces, they engage in all of the tricks of the trade. Bottom line : Do your homework and negotiate with your eyes wide open, and they are willing to make a fair deal. Nice place to do business, I'd say.

Good day to all Venice Florida. My name is Michael Rose United States Federal Fiduciary. In case you do not know, I work for the veterans association. USMC. I protect the elderly, and watch their finances. I wanted to share this story so that my fellow vets do not be taken advantage of. After all, It is my job to protect them, and their money. That being said, I walked into Kia to purchase a car, and was greeted by a man named Ralph Ramirez. I was trading a 2007 SHELBY GT500. I thought that the car was a little too small on the inside to transport people. In addition, the power was way too much. Ralph was the nastiest person I have come across. There was a point when he was flirting with a rep, and told my new sales person to beat It he was busy. Moreover, He advised that my car was only worth 18k with 30k miles on it. I was shaking because I just spent 28k on it. So, I drove it to the next dealer that I was personally familiar with, and received $28,000 to trade it. Please Venice people be careful when you deal with people like this. I handle many elderly financial accounts so that we as citizens are not taken advantage of. After having a terrible experience purchasing my new car at "Fucillo" Port Charlotte, i decided (after reading great reviews about Sunset Kia Venice) to call them about a possible issue with my car and since they were so lovely on the phone i made an appt. with them to bring it in. They were welcoming and pleasent to work work with, all of them! They took their time and were so very patient, friendly and explanitory with me. I met everyone there and they gave me advice and phone #s for those who can help anytime about other things. I was SO please with my experience with those gentleman over there. Turns out, after deciding to give all my work to them the oil change their is 19 and change vs 42.50. What?? Thats quite the diference. I already feel like family and will recomend them to EVERYONE! Suzanne and I were primarily comparison shopping for a newer car than our 2011 Kia Optima which we bought new at another dealer. We never felt that the other dealer actually gave us any incentives to buy their car, so we weren't giving them too much consideration for this purchase. They had written us numerous e-mails, sent flyers, and letters trying to get us back, but first impressions are usually lasting ones. Andy Washington met us on the lot at Sunset as we were looking over their inventory of Kias since Suzanne was the one who drove the one we were considering trading, and had been very pleased with it. Without any high pressured sales pitch, Andy showed us everything that they had with the options we were looking for.....being very patient as we flip-flopped back and forth between the two we narrowed it down to. When the time came for putting it all down on paper, he was very thorough in explaining every entry to us as he did so. We know that car sales is very competitive and a lot of salesmen probably would have tried to push anything on us just to get the sale, but we never felt we were pressured during our buying experience with him. Honesty and thorough explanations and information are very much appreciated by the majority of the buying public in our opinion, and we feel that Andy did an exceptional job using them. We would also like to give kudos to Gary Beatty for doing the same thing as we completed the financing and closure. With kudos, as well, to Frank, in the shop for a couple of minor issues and explanations that we had with our new vehicle that he handled very professionally to our satisfaction. Before even going to the dealership, I called to make sure they had the exact brand tire I wanted, they said they did and thats what I ended up paying for but didnt get. Nate was laughing and making light out of the situation and "didnt know what to tell me" when I was explaining to him why I was upset. The person who I initially worked with is no longer employed there (wonder why, what a surprise) and there's nothing he can do for me. Went in to buy a new car Shane was who I delt with . He was showing me 2018 Optima . Showed me one that was blocked in and I couldnt see inside said let me get it out for you to look at . Brought me inside to start paperwork and I kept saying can I see car he would say it’s getting cleaned then its backed up in detail then its off getting gas but they kept wanting me to finish deal on a car he didnt let me even sit in or test drive !! Also he did same thing with a 2017 Sorrento didnt let me even sit in it . It disappeared and was everywhere but where I the person buying it could get a look at it or checkout that it was made in Oct 2016 , I was buying in Oct 2017 and it sat on there lot for a yr and he wanted me to pay full price . I was also told it had Options on it that werent on it. I told Management this and they didnt seem to care.

This is my last visit to this service department. I made an 8:45 am appointment today for tires, alignment and oil change for my Kia. I arrived at 8:35 and at 12:21 pm, I am still waiting. They tell me it will be another 45 minutes.... this is not acceptable. Five hours of the day gone. And of course it’s lunch time with no one working on my car. Don’t hold your breath waiting for me to come back here.

I work at another Kia dealership in Indiana and while my dad was on vacation in Venice his Optima had an issue. We used TrueCar to complete an internet search for the vehicle we were interested in, SXL - White exterior, ivory leather seats. Within 12 hours we received an email from Kristina inviting us to the dealership in Venice and to schedule a test drive. We exchanged several emails with Kristina who was responsive, knowledgeable, courteous and within several days advised that the exact vehicle we were looking for would be at the dealership the next day. We scheduled an appointment and upon arrival Kristina introduced us to Shane Eagan, a Sales Consultant. Shane was equally as courteous, friendly and an expert on the Sorento's features and options. We completed our test drive, questions / answers and moved to the business end of the transaction. Throughout the process, Shane was patient, addressed our requests and made what I believe was a fair deal. We met Luis Blanes, Business Manager, and Luis carefully explained our warranty options and financial options and was efficient in process the paperwork and completing the transaction. So far, our experience with Sunset KIA has been exceptional and do not hesitate to provide a great recommendation. Several other KIA dealers responded to the TrueCar web search but were not as straightforward in their response to our specific vehicle request, nor were they as prompt with their followups.

Went in for a recall...they "inspected" and said it was fine...have zero confidence in sunset kia. They then told us our 2015 kia, bought with 17 miles on it, needs new tires....the car has 21,000.....the tires didn't even last . We will get our tires elsewhere. I will buy another kia, but, not at sunset kia...I was told there were not to be trusted. All they kept saying was sign and initial, everytime I asked a question, just sign and initial...I was asked to do their survey and I told the cashier "you don't want me to do this survey".. she never asked what was wrong....kia is a good car, kia sunset NOT a good dealer.

Wow! Where do I begin, this was a complete waste of our time. We stopped by the dealership by chance; found a car we liked and took it for a test drive. At the end of the drive we asked what the price of the car was, after we were told we decided to come back at a later date and discuss numbers. Before leaving we were assured that the dealership would work with us and come down on the price of the car. The following day my husband and I went to the dealership, we ended up working with a salesmen named Vinnie, big mistake this guy was extremely rude. The car we were looking at was used; regardless of that they refused to take a dime off of the price and after refusing 3 times kept getting bombarded with their financing options even though we made it clear we wanted to finance through Navy Federal. If you want to be disrespected, taken for a fool, and expect to pay the exact price the dealership has set on the vehicle this is the place to be. If you want good customer service with a friendly staff that is willing to work with you, I urge you please DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with this dealer. By the way, Vinnie bragged about how he worked at HONDA for 3 weeks prior to working at Kia, due to "his own reasons", in this tough economy people think twice before spending 3 weeks at work and leaving. Honda probably had the sense to let him go before too many complaints were made. The guys attitude was very disrespectful aggressive, and illusive. He tried to throw multiple lies at us as facts about the car, and was shocked once he found out we had done our homework.

The best Kia dealer experience in SW Florida to date. They don't try to over sell you on anything. Service is incredible. Hand washing cars instead of the usual scuff n buff that most other dealers have. I highly recommend Sunset Kia.

Thought they would have notified me . So I am from North Port so I will now go to Hughes place after supporting Venice all these years. I had the greatest experience over the last few days with Sunset Kia in Venice fl. My wife and I were greeted by Alan. He is a very knowledgeable and genuinely seemed interested in showing me only the models that suited my needs, instead of showing me models the dealership might have the most interest in selling. Alan is a good sales person and I highly recommend him. Once we found the car we wanted the sales manager Ralph stepped in to get all of the figures right. It seemed once again he went over and above to not only get us the right deal but to make sure we were happy and comfortable in the process. Twenty four hours after we took delivery Ralph calls to follow up and make sure that everything was going well and to see if we needed anything. I highly recommend anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle stop by Sunset Kia in Venice . I am sure Alan and Ralph will take good care of you. Thanks

Quick and painless — the dealership made the process easy! We stopped in Sunset Kia as it was local to us after looking online and finding deals that after investigating were too good to be true. We almost drove an hour away because the prices looked so good but please do your homework. Sometimes things aren't as they seem. We went in to look without any intention on purchasing immediately. Chase Blowers met us at the door and was cheerful and pleasant. We told Chase our price range and what were were looking for in a vehicle. Chase was extremely helpful and showed us what they had in stock without any high pressure sales tactics. I told him I wanted to go home and think about it as we just started looking. The next day the manager, Gary, called me to let me know of some other vehicles in my price range listed on their website and that if I had any questions to not hesitate to ask. He told me he did not want to lose a sale over a few dollars. That made me feel comfortable knowing that they cared enough to try and make it work for you. We went in a few days later and test drove a few cars. We fell in love with a car out of our price range but Sunset Kia made it happen!!! Final price was exactly as negotiated (no last-minute surprises). Between Gary, the Manager, Chase, our salesman, Todd, Manager of the Used Car Division and Corey who did our financing, the entire process was swift and painless. No 4 to 6 hours were spent in a dealership. We left them with all our information and all we had to do was show up the next day, Sign and Drive!!! Everyone in that facility was amazing and genuine. I would highly recommend checking out Sunset Kia for your next vehicle! We love our new to us 2016 Kia Sorento :-)

Last week my husband and I were in search of a new minivan to replace ours. I was rear-ended by an uninsured vehicle while sitting at a red light and being that our van was paid off and 8 years old we did not have full coverage. The damage to our van was extensive and needed to be repaired. After getting an estimate my husband and I decided that the best thing was to replace in it instead of putting so much money into fixing it. We spent a day and a half going to different car lots from Ft. Myers to Venice. When we got to Sunset Kia we were greeted by Andy Washington. Andy was very nice and was very knowledgeable. We decided to check out another van at a Kia dealer in Ft. Myers. The gentleman there was...Well let's just say Andy was a much better salesman and was more knowledge. We ended up going back to Sunset Kia to try and make a deal on the used minivan there. Andy, Ralph, and Louis worked with us and we ended up with a beautiful, clean used minivan that we happy with.

After a referral from a friend and friendly emails from Kristina in business development, my husband and I went to Sunset Kia of Venice and the first thing we noticed driving up was that the wasn't any sales representatives stalking out the entrance driveway as we have noticed from other competitors lately. We walked in and was greeted by Nathan Curtner who treated us to phenomenal service. He always treated us like were important and was striving to answer any and all questions we had. We ended up choosing a 2017 Sorento and Nathan made sure we were comfortable with everything about the car before driving off and ensured us that if we have any future questions that we could reach out to him. I did a lot of research on different vehicles and made the decision to choose a Kia Rio hatchback. I initially spoke with Jessica and told her what I wanted in the car and she began the search. I received a call from Ralph, and after confirming the interior color I preferred, the search was on. There were "2" in the state of Florida, and they had one delivered to the dealership. When my husband and I arrived at the dealership my car was waiting out front. I was met by Jessica (it was a pleasure meeting the person who initiated the customer service by phone) who introduced me to Sara who was very personable, knowledgeable and made the whole process smoother than I anticipated. From there it was a process that was professional, informative and very friendly. They were very accommodating with our traveling situation, and kept their promise, having my car prepped and ready the next day . We received a price that we were comfortable with thanks to Louis, and my husband appreciated the great coffee and cookies! I want say i had a great time at this dealership, and bring special attention to the salesman bob. Bob is a great guy and a honest guy, he will give you a real opinion, not just sell you anything. If you go ask for Bob i believe he will treat you right even with poor credit. At the end of the day i did not buy my car from them due to being new to credit, which is why i didn't give a full five star. But I will be returning, as even when I pulled out of the deal I was still treated well and suffered no change in attitude like other dealerships.
